Sasara silently followed the three pro hero's into the nice restaurant. Of course the employee who greeted them seemed head over heels happy as they greeted the two male heroes. No surprises there, Sakaki kept her work on the down low because she didn't like this kind of attention. But the two men on the other hand were kind of forced to deal with the attention of being well known. Bakugou looked like he was just ignoring it, while Kirishima smiled softly at the greeter who showed them to a rather nice table.
But what Sasara was really not used to was the way nearly every set of eyes turned to stair. And some were blatantly judging them. After all, who did she think she was? Sasara was a nobody. Some basic ass office job, no awesome quirk, no hero training, she wasn't ripped or beautiful like the others there. She knew Sakaki would have arched in being added in with the two men but in Sasara's eyes her dark haired friend was to die for. Her body was lean from her hero training, while it still retained the omega like curves that she naturally had. A perfect hourglass shape that made Sasara both jealous and depressed at her own less than perfect body.
People had to be judging her, after all how did a no one like her end up eating with models? Celebrities? With her hand still holding Hatori's righting she looked down at him to see the kid was oblivious to the looks they were receiving. Though the looks clearly did not go missed by all in the group.
"Oi! What the hell are you all looking," of course Bakugou noticed the judgmental gazes and was quick to snap at them. Was it simply because it annoyed him or did he do it for the two women? No one really would know the answer as even Bakugou wasn't sure who he was getting mad for, himself or the girls.
"Don't bother Bakugou," Sakaki said, placing a hand on his shoulder. This surprised both Kirishima and Sasara as they watched the angry blonde instantly become quiet. Though he glared at the dark haired woman all it took was her touch and words and the man calmed down. It was an odd sight to behold, that's for sure. As surely Kirishima wouldn't have been able to do that as fast or efficiently.
Once they reached the table Sasara helped Hatori into his seat beside her before she took off her light jacket and sat down. Though it didn't go unnoticed that the person to her other side was Kirishima. While on Kirishima's other side was Bakugou. Then between Bakugou and Hatori sat Sakaki. It felt odd having the redhead sitting beside her and yet she welcomed the calm company. While also knowing that the wall of muscle sat between her and the explosive blonde who still made her really intimidated and nervous even though Sakaki seemed so relaxed around him.
Still Sasara couldn't help but quickly glance around the room to see all the eyes still on their table. Which had her quickly look down at her hands and start to fidget like some kid suddenly standing at the front of class having to give a speech about something she did not study for. It was horrible and in that moment she was happy that she wore scent blockers so no one would tell how stressed she truly was.
"Don't let the attention get to you Sasara," okay Sasara should have known her dear best friend would easily notice the fidgeting and nervousness the young woman was feeling. After all this was something she had never experienced before. It was all new and truly spiked her poor anxiety.
"I'll try Shun," she said softly, thankful for her friends' warm words and smile.
"Sorry about this," Kirishima said, apologizing when he realized the poor woman was uncomfortable. He no longer noticed the gazes so much nor did he pay them much attention so it slipped his mind that the poor woman who was not a hero may be uncomfortable in the public eye. And being the man he was felt the need to strongly apologize to her.
"What the hell are you apologizing for shitty hair? It's not like we can control this," Bakugou snarled as he sat back in his seat crossing his arms before Sakaki and Kirishima threw glares at him. Sasara had to really struggle not to flinch at the blonde's harsh words and tone. But in a way she agreed with him. She should have assumed this would happen.
"Well we could have given her a heads up. Not all of us are used to the attention or think about it," Sakaki growled softly at the blonde sitting beside her. Oh great, were they all going to start arguing because of her? She couldn't let that happen.
"Shun, don't worry about it. He's not exactly wrong. I should have figured that sitting with two top ten hero's would have unwanted attention," Sasara said softly, trying her hardest to stop things from escalating.
"You're too soft Sasara," Sakaki mumbled at the light haired woman. The comment didn't surprise Sasara as Sakaki often told her such. So it wasn't new and she knew her friend was right too. She was too soft but she couldn't help it, it was just who she was.
"So am I going to get to hear the story of how you hurt your arm today?" Sasara wanted to pull the attention away from her friends teasing at being soft nor allow Bakugou and Sakaki a chance to argue again.
"She was a dumb fuck, that's how she did that," Sasara was a little surpsied to get an answer first from Bakugou though his answer didn't really explain like Sasara was wanting. Though it was funny to watch her friend dig her elbow into the blonde's ribs, apparently not happy that he answered the question. It was incredibly adorable to watch the two bicker and argue with each other.
"I wasn't dumb. I did what had to be done. After all you clearly were not having any luck," and so the bickering between Sakaki and Bakugou began even when their young waiter walked over asking them for their orders.
Though it became apparent that Bakugou and Sakaki were not done with their bickering as they continued even after the waitress left their table. It was easy to spot the young waitress trying to flirt with both men but neither seemed to notice or pay any attention to it. Or were they so used to it they couldn't see the flirting any more? If Sasara tried to flirt with Kirishima would he pay the same lack of attention to her? Or would she have to act like Sakaki? Then again what exactly was it Sakaki was trying to achieve? Was she flirting or fighting with the blonde? Sasara honestly wasn't sure now.
But back to the question she had asked she still wanted to know what had happened to her friend. Sakaki often kept her hero work secret, most likely so those around her would not worry. But still the job was clearly dangerous. And of course her curiosity also drove her to want to know what it's like being a hero.
"I'm sure you'll see it in the news later. I encountered a villian on my patrol. I called in Sakaki and Bakugou for backup. He had an acidic slime like quirk. Sakaki decided the best way to get him out of the protective slime was to stick her own arm in and activate her quirk. It worked but the acid burned her," leaned over a little to whisper to the woman as he was sure keeping it a secret would surely make her worry more. Luckily Kirishima was nice enough to actually answer the silver haired woman's question even if her friend did not want it answered. But still she could feel the redheads warm breath against her ear. Which sent a shiver down her back and a warmth filled her ears and the back of her neck.
Sasara looked over at her dear friend and watched the woman as she lifted the wrapped and bandaged arm to show off she was still able to at least move it. Though Sasara wasn't an idiot, although Sakaki didn't even flinch she knew the woman was hiding her pain expertly. Even waved it around a little without making a face as if to show off that the arm was just fine. Sasara would have to argue with her about the injury later.
"It's not like there was much choice. Bakugou's explosions couldn't even get through all of the slime. And your quirk didn't match well either. Turning his own slime against him was the best thing but I couldn't trust that letting my quick out in the air would be enough," the woman felt the need to add more reasoning behind her decision.
"It was still a stupid idea," Bakugou growled which just had the dark haired woman curl her top lip at him not enjoying being called names over her idea. Such children the two of them could be when they bickered like this.
"So Sasara, how long have you known Sakaki?" Kirishima asked loudly, ensuring that Sakaki would hear and hopefully it would stop another argument. The hairs on the back of the woman's neck stood up. This was a subject she hated talking about with a burning passion. The memories and man involved she liked to keep buried in the back of her mind trying her hardest to forget that time in her life. But she refused to let the others catch on even though she was sure that Sakaki would have noticed and if she did she said nothing. Was that good or bad? Sasara wasn't sure.
"Oh Uhm, almost seven years," Was the best Sasara could get out softly really hoping that the discussion would not continue after that. But of course the poor woman was not lucky enough for that. Still she looked over at the red head as she answered the question with the simple answer.
"How did you two meet?" That was a question that both women didn't enjoy being brought up. Sakaki knew Sasara would not be enjoying this discussion and yet she still didn't try to help her friend at all. Fidgeting with her fingers she was reluctant to answer this question as there was no way to make it sound good. And it seemed Sakaki took this opportunity to shoot her own friend in the foot as she answered instead.
"I arrested her," Sakaki said bluntly, which caught both men's attention. And made the silver haired woman nearly crawl under the table wanting to hide away from the eyes of both men that looked at her now.
"Shun! Don't say it like that," Sasara whined trying to keep herself from going into an embarrassed panic at the table around a bunch of strangers.
"Well it's kinda true. When I busted your ex you were there too. And I did mistakenly put you in handcuffs till I realized you were not a villain," Sakaki said with a simple shrug of her shoulders now forcing her poor friend to actually explain the event that led to them meeting and becoming friends.
"My ex was apparently running an underground smuggling ring along with a number of other illegal activities I was unaware of. The hero who busted and arrested him was Shun. While being held in custody by the police Shun was the main hero working with the officers and since we were both omegas they had her deal with questioning me," Sasara explained a little though she left a good deal out still but Sakaki was not going to say anything. It wasn't her place to let a restaurant of eavesdroppers know her best friend was in an abusive relationship with a villian who not long before the bust found out she was pregnant.
"When she was released she had no were to go and she was pregnant. I couldn't let her just sleep on the streets so she stayed with me for; what's was it two weeks?" Sakaki asked, glancing at the woman to see if she got the timeline right.
"Yeah it was like fifteen days or something before I found the place I'm in now," Sasara said quietly with a little nod of her head to let her friend know she was pretty much right. .
Luckily for Sasara their food arrived at the perfect moment to quickly distract the men from being able to ask more questions. No one knew the silver haired woman was incredibly thankful that the food arrived at that exact moment. And so Sasara was happy to start eating her own meal as she enjoyed an expensive meal she didn't get often. Though Sakaki always tried to take the silver haired woman to nice restaurants when they went out. But what little pride she did have made it hard for Sasara to not pay for her own meals, or at least try to pay for every second meal. But Sakaki was stubborn and knew she made more as a hero and she enjoyed being allowed to spoil her best friend. It almost always ended in the two arguing over where to eat and who paid. And yet Sasara wouldn't change her best friend for the world. After all, she owed her life to Sakaki.
Tending to Hatori before she could start to enjoy her own meal Sasara was an ever so tender mother to the boy who looked at her with her own eyes while wearing a mop of dark hair that he got from his father. Still she loved the boy with every fiber of her being. Now turning her attention to her own meal she was greeted once again with the bickering of what was Sakaki bugging Bakugou about his taste in food and how he was killing the natural flavour with his excessive use of wasabi with his meal.
"And you call yourself a man of culture with food. Yet you're destroying the natural flavour of your food with that much wasabi," the dark haired woman said with an over dramatic gasp.
"Hell no. I'm making it better," Bakugou growled back at the woman before he stuffed his face with the food as hot as he could get it. At least Sasara didn't have to worry about the meal being boring as they ate and watched their friends flirt back and forth during the meal.
It was oddly a great meal, the judging gazes forgotten, the personal questions no longer asked again. Simple little conversations between bites of food kept the meal interesting. Sakaki and Bakugou snarled and bickered like idiots making it incredibly entertaining to watch for both Kirishima and Sasara. It was so nice to watch her best friend actually acting herself with someone else. This was a side Sasara had not seen a lot of Sakaki, and yet it was odd to think that it was a loud, explosive angry alpha who was able to make her so happy. Still it was such a nice sight to see her friend enjoying herself.
Sasara tried to keep her attention on her own food and helping Hatori any time he had an issue while eating his own share of nice food. Of course from time to time she found herself glancing over at the man beside her. Even as he ate he seemed to wear a wide grin that showed off those sharp looking teeth, it was a little hard to believe this man was such a ball of sunshine. Everything about him seemed so rough and aggressive. Sharp teeth, a huge build with wide shoulders, muscles that could easily toss her around like she weighed nothing. And of course that thought had her blush and quickly look away. But back to the original thought. Everything about him was almost meant to be scary, surely the man could make even villains shake in fear. There were few people who could take on the sturdy hero.
Yet all it took was five minutes with the man to see it was almost all a facade. The man was almost an overgrown child at times. Like when he said something with his mouth full which seemed to irritate his blonde friend who made a stink about telling him multiple times that he shouldn't talk with his mouth full. The two men seemed so close. It was almost a little surprising to see two extremely strong alpha's getting along so well.
"Kirishima. You and Bakugou seem close, how long have you two been friends?" She asked softly as she grew full and was now just picking at what little food she had been unable to finish. It seemed asking him a personal question really made him happy as he nearly jumped as he sat up straight and instantly swallowed the food in his mouth so he could instantly answer.
"We met in highschool. What? It's probably been ten years at least. Right?" The redhead asked looking across the table at Sakaki before over at Bakugou as if he was worried his math may have been off.
"You two grew really close in our first year. So yeah you guys were what fourteen or fifteen so it's been at least ten years if not eleven," Sakaki said with a nod of her head as Bakugou just grumbled at her.
"How the hell do you know so much?" The blonde growled looking at the woman beside him.
"We had every class together for three years. Being the quiet shy kid I heard a lot of people talk. It also was pretty clear after the USJ attack you and Kirishima were starting on some sort of a friendship, he was your first real friend in school," Sakaki said simply as if he should have known the answer to his own question.
It was incredibly cute watching the two interacting. Bakugou seemed shocked that the woman had paid that much attention to those around her back in school. Meanwhile Bakugou had barely been able to remember the girl. Sure he remembered seeing her a few times, often when being dragged around by the other girls around the dorms but that was almost it. Had he really been such a child at the time to not notice her?
Sasara and Kirirsham both shared a look before both of them started to lightly laugh which in turn had the blonde turning his anger on them which only made the two laugh harder. Even Sakaki joined in as they watched the blonde fume.
"Come on Bakugou you gotta admit it. Your face when she told you that was so funny," Kirishima said as he started to calm down after enjoying a good laugh even if it was at his friend's expense.
