The weekend was right around the corner as Sasara dropped Hatori off at school on the early Friday morning before she headed off to work herself. Though the feeling of her cell phone vibrating in her pocket drew her mind out of the clouds as she was contemplating what to make for dinner as she walked to the train station to head towards work. How odd, Shun was shacked away with her blonde hero buddy, was it one of her other friends? Still not many would be texting her so early in the morning. Pulling out the little device she couldn't help the wide grin that pulled at her lips as she watched Kirishima's name pop up on her screen.

Kirishima

Good morning. I know it is rather short notice but I was wondering what you are doing tonight and if you want to get some dinner with me. I'm working days while Bakugou and Sakaki are away. So I'm free for the evening.

Well she was not at all expecting the semi long random text message that she was greeted to when opening her phone. And yet she felt her smile grow even wider as she read it and reread it trying to think of what to say. She wanted to say yes right away. But then she worried about being taken out in public. As much as she hated to admit it but the wandering eyes made her unease with the attention the pro hero drew when out and about. After all he was kind of easy to spot and recognize even outside of his hero costume. And her anxiety spiked when she noticed the eyes watching the group at the last restaurant. Even though the two loudest people would not be present she worried that it wouldn't be much different and she did not have Shun to act as her buffer from the eyes.

Sasara

Sure. But how about I cook us something? Far healthier than easing out again so soon.

There that would be a good enough reply as she looked at her message before hitting send. She knew Shun did not like eating out a ton, always worried about her figure and the unhealthy food that may not meet her body's needs to keep her energized. Yet that was the same woman who would skip meals when busy. Sasara was pretty sure it was more of a concern with her waist line not getting larger. But she couldn't complain. It was also much cheaper to make good meals.

Kirishima

Sounds awesome. I'll swing by at 6pm.

Well that was easy, at least he didn't try to talk her into going out again. And anyways she would have just used the excuse that she owed him a meal anyways since he did pay for the night they all went out only a few days ago. This was also her chance to show off her cooking skills as her omega side screamed to show off how good she could be for the alpha. So now the hard part was trying to decide what she was going to decide to cook. She didn't want to go to over the top, there was not a lot of time to go overboard if she wanted to have the meal done shortly after he would arrive. But she couldn't bring herself to just do a basic everyday dish either. Should she do a stir fry? Or maybe a nice udon would be a way to go? Maybe a nice chicken katsu? Hmm well she had all day to figure out what she wanted to cook, and it would probably take all day for her to decide too. Then she would just grab some groceries after grabbing Haroti then she could head home and get started on cooking her meal of choice.

And so she spent the day trying to decide on what to make for the hero who would be joining her and her son for dinner. Questions filled her mind unsure if the man had allergies, or did he have some particular diet? He didn't seem to have any issues when they were out for dinner together. Well he never said anything over text all day? Though they both had been fairly busy with work, still he didn't warn her in the first two messages she got from him. So she tried to remind herself not to worry too much, though she did still send a text asking if he had any allergies but had yet to get a reply. And so she decided on a chicken katsu with some simple sides, that way she had a good protein, with some veggies on the side. It seemed like a good mix to provide a working body with what nutritional it would need for his line of work.

And so the second her time was up at work she gathered her stuff and nearly ran out of the office building. Speed walking her way down the sidewalk she did not have a lot of time if she wanted everything to be perfect before Kirishima arrived. Poor Hatori did not expect to be scooped up from school and whisked away from his friends not being given a chance to chat with them. Though as soon as she told him why they needed to get home soon the small body had no issues keeping up with her as she made her way to the grocery store and grabbed some things she was lacking before she headed home with a bouncing and excited kid at her side who was blasting off questions about who and why his favorite hero was coming for dinner. She tried to keep the answers simple, reminding Hatori he can't go running around telling the entire city about this. He seemed confused by that but agreed non the less so that put at least one of her worries at ease.

Getting home she sent Hatori to his room to work on his homework while she headed to the kitchen starting to work on getting her ingredients ready as she pulled out everything she needed. There was not a lot of time but she assumed she should have just under an hour to get the meal going before she was expecting the knock on her door, that is if the man was on time. Then of course she had to poke her head in periodically and make sure Hatori was indeed working on his homework cause she knew the second the red head arrived all her child's attention would surely be on him. She wasn't stupid enough to think she would be able to sit a six year old down to focus on his homework while his idol and pretty much god say at their kitchen table. It was already hard enough as she almost had to scold him every time she poked her head into his room.

The home was already starting to smell delicious by the time her cell phone vibrated in her pocket. She was far too happy as she pulled the device from her pocket and saw that it was indeed a message from Kirishima. It was short and sweet but it let her know her company had arrived.

Kirishima

What apartment number?

Sasara

302

With that she gave everything one last good stir before racing to the front door whipping it open before he even had a chance to knock. It seems to have caught him by surprise that the door had suddenly whipped open in front of him while his hand was raised to prepare to knock.

"Good evening," the man said with a soft blush sprinkled over his cheeks as he nervously rubbed the back of his neck. His hair was still ever so slightly damp clearly showing he showers at the agency before coming over. He sported some simple jeans and a dark grey t-shirt. He looked as good in civilian clothes as he did in his hero costume. Hell that shirt seemed to cling to the man like a second skin hiding nothing, or maybe it was just her imagination running wild with the knowledge that she had seen that man shirtless far too many times on tv to not know what is under the material of his shirt.

"Welcome! Come on in. I know Hatori has been bouncing off the wall since I told him you were coming to join us for dinner," she said, completely rambling as she stepped back and allowed the man to walk into her little home. She felt the need to shove her foot into her mouth to shut herself up. She had crabbed an extra large pair of slippers knowing anything she and Hatori wore would never fit the man.

Of course Kirishima is still just an ever so nice gentleman thanks her and steps into her home slipping his shoes off and the new slippers on. Though the sight of the red slippers awaiting him had the man chuckle which made her cheeks light up.

"None of my slippers would have fit you so I grabbed some new ones. I assumed you must like the colour red," she said blushing before the smell of the cooking food had her happily jump back and run off for the kitchen mumbling about the food before she disappeared, "please make yourself at home. Food will be done soon."

Of course before Kirishima could even try to follow after the woman into the kitchen the sound of little footsteps running through the apartment filled his ears. Of course there was no sneaking past the young boy as he nearly barreled into Kirishima's knees almost unable to stop himself in time.

"Red Riot is really in my house," was probably the only words Kirishima was able to make out as the boy started rambling off. It reminded him of Deku and his ramblings. The trait of a true fan boy it seemed. But it warmed his heart to see the next generation looking up to himself.

"Hatori I thought I told you, you don't have to call me by my hero name in private. You're welcome to call me Kirishima," he said, giving the boy a wide toothy grin. Which he just as happily copied.

"Hatori your homework better be done," was the oh so threatening voice that came from the kitchen which quickly killed the kids wide grin.

"Almost done momma," he quickly called out before taking off back to his room as fast as he had left it.

Kirishima gave a soft chuckle watching the kid run off before he finally had the ability to walk into the apartment and take in the sight of the woman standing in her kitchen working at making sure the food doesn't burn. The rice in the rice cooker was already done. She was starting to plate the meals.

"Mmm smells good," the large man nearly purred as he strolled into the kitchen and proceeded to lean over her shoulder and take a nice deep inhale. Though was it her or the food he was smelling?

"Eeep," she squeaked and jumped a little as she noticed how close the tall man was to her.

"Oops sorry," Kirishima said, flashing her an innocent smile before slowly taking a step back and giving the woman some space. It was sometimes hard for him to remember his large lumbering form may startle those who are either not hero's or villains and not used to someone so tall and wide towering over them. With her being such a tiny little omega he could see how his tall form leaning over her may be a surprise.

"No. You just surprised me a little. I'm not used to people standing over me as I cook. Hatori isn't tall enough yet and Shun avoids the kitchen like she's gonna magically ignite the stove somehow," she said with a light chuckle at the memories of her dear friend avoiding the kitchen for all she was worth. It was odd to think a female omega had such a hatred for being in the kitchen.

"I know how Sakaki feels. Bakubro never lets me in the kitchen at home. I never can cook anything decent," Kirishima said with a light chuckle as he moved to lean against the counter and watch her as she finished up the meal.

"What are you going to do while Bakugou is gone?" She asked, arching an eyebrow rather concerned about if this man was about to eat straight fast food for the next week. By the way his hand ran through his loose damp hair. Yet that innocent looking grin he gave her at the same time completely gave away what she was thinking.

"Well usually when Bakugou is gone or busy I just eat out. There's lots of places to eat in the area and I don't eat it usually, otherwise a few days of greasy food doesn't kill me," he said simply with that innocent smile still in place.

"That's not good. Eating fast food for a week straight still can not be good for you no matter how little you eat all the other times," she said trying to glare at him as she watched him try to argue with her before closing his mouth and deciding it was better not to.

"You're right but with my lack of cooking skills there is not much I can make besides convenient store meals that I just have to microwave," the red head said shyly as he rubbed the back of his neck now.

"Well if you ever need a nice dinner you're always welcomed. I think Hatori would be offended if I let his favourite hero die of a heart attack because he ate too much unhealthy food," she said the last bit lightly with a giggle as she even made a point to hand him one of the plated meals she had just finished. And Kirishima the darling he was, smiled and chuckled at her little joke.

"Well I can not be upsetting a fan like that. So I guess I will have to take you up on that offer," he said smiling as he took the plate from her hand.

"Good just let me know beforehand so I can have enough food cooked. Now take your plate and go sit down," she said before turning off the stove and poking her head into the hall before telling Hatori to wash up and come eat.

Hearing the kid run for the bathroom she turned back to make sure everyone had a pair of chopsticks and that everything was on the table. Even though Kirishima being the gentleman he was, had grabbed a few of the dishes before walking over to the table placing them and taking a seat himself. She grabbed what remained and took a seat beside Kirishima. It was only a minute later that Hatori came barreling down the hall skidding to a stop before climbing into his own chair that even contained a small booster seat so he could actually meet the eyes of the adults sitting around the table.

"Oh wow it all looks so good. But you sure made a lot of food," he said lightly before he grabbed his chopsticks and thanked her for the meal. At that she simply shrugged her shoulders before starting to eat herself.

"Hatori needs a bento for tomorrow so I'll pack him the leftovers. He's also a growing boy he will be hungry before bed," she said laughing as she watched her kid pout softly at her for giving away something that was seeming personal or embarrassing she wasn't sure which it was for her son.

"It's really good," Kirishima said after swallowing the first mouthful of some of the breaded chicken she had made. That had the woman smile softly struggling not to just burst into a bit wide grin. Her omega was nearly purring at the complement. He liked her food and that was enough to make her extremely happy.

Bakugou always made their food so spicy, rarely making a section separately for Kirishima and his more delicate taste buds. Instead Kirishima had just come to eat Bakugou's cooking and enjoy the free food. Though once you got past the spice the food was always good. But a chance at a meal that didn't have his mouth on fire was incredibly nice as the man enjoyed the food in front of him happily.

Of course as she expected she watched the tall man pack away the food. Which only made her even more happy as it had to mean he really did like the food and had not been polite when he had helped himself for seconds and then even a small third helping. And of course as she started to gather up the dishes to take them to the sink she quickly had that large body beat her to the spot she always stood at to wash the dishes.

"Here let me. After all you cooked, the least I can do is wash," he said, refusing to move even as she set the dishes in the sink and tried to start the hot water only for him to slap her hand away.

"Fine. You wash and I will dry," she said simply before giving him a gentle hip check as if to see if that would magically move the mountain of a man. But of course he didn't budge, didn't even move a muscle. Which only made her pout a little as she let him start washing the dishes they had dirtied. And yet she couldn't deny she rather enjoyed the moment as they stood side by side. Him washing a dish and handing it to her to dry and put it away.

"How long have you known Bakugou and Shun?" She asked softly, feeling the need to break the silence that fell over the kitchen. Though the question surprised Kirishima as he expected Sakaki would have told her friend about their UA days.

"Didn't Sakaki tell you anything?" He was unable to contain his surprise and curiosity.

"Not really. I know you all went to UA but that's about it. Shun doesn't talk about it very much and I met her right after you all would have graduated," she answered honestly. She had tried to pry a little before about Shun's past but the woman didn't enjoy talking about it for some reason. She never could truly figure out why but she had some assumptions.

"Well we would have officially met at the start of our first year. Though we didn't all get along at first. Bakugou was pretty rough around the edges, always has been," Kirishima paused to laugh at the memories of the young hot headed hero.

"Honestly Sakaki is harder to remember for a bit. She was very quiet and kept to herself. She got along better with some of the other classmates before she ever got along with us. Even after we moved into the doors during our first year she seemed to avoid the parties and get togethers any chance she had. We never really hung out much though. Third year I know she joined us for a couple of game nights when we used to have them weekly at someone's dorm room. Usually Sero's since his was cleaner than Denki's, and Bakugou wouldn't let everyone in his. Mine didn't have the room for everyone. We still have bi weekly get togethers for game nights. You'll have to join us next time. Mina would love seeing some other woman show up," Kirishima said with a chuckle as he got a little sidetracked thinking now of the upcoming game night with his friends.

"She did come for a few game nights in our third year, not regularly or anything but Mini often had a habit of dragging some poor soul or another in with her and a few times it was Sakaki. Otherwise we didn't really hang out at all. Honestly it almost feels like we are closer now than we ever were during school. Even with it being what? eight years now since we graduated?" The last sentence was a soft whisper to himself as Kirishima started doing the math feeling eight years was not right. Though he was only one year off once he actually did the mental math to realize at twenty five it's been seven years since he graduated.

Huh? A part of her was surprised to hear her best friend was a shy antisocial teen. And yet it made sense. In a way the dark haired woman still was an antisocial idiot. Which was why it was all the nicer seeing her get along with the two men. Sasara had always tried to get her bestie to get along better with their mutual friends but she knew deep down Sakaki only tolerated those people for her and vice versa. But this was nice knowing her friend was actually able to make friends herself. And Sasara could not complain about either man. Even if one of them was loud and rude. With that the kitchen fell silent as the two worked together to clean up the mess.
