Chapter 4: Battle
The creature shrieks in pain being pushed back by the force of the blue flames, Oscar glares at the beast as he goes to attack with his persona floating behind him. The creature feeling threatened sends tentacles to the young teen but they were cut by the spear of his persona.
The farm boy dodges a wind attack then when he reaches close to the creature he full force hits the things neck with his baton wild Cu spears glows yellow as a bolt of electricity is sent to the creature head. Damaged it severely but the monster takes one of its legs and tries to stab Oscar's stomach but stops with the persona picking its user and dodging wild he heard in his head 'Good first attempt but it's better if you see how a warrior truly fights.' He puts down on the floor and finally sees how his persona looks.
A tall male figure with dog ears almost hidden under his wild blonde hair that goes past his shoulders. His chest is covered in tattoos that are in the shape of multiple overlapping lines that form the shape of an odd shield with the three ends, the top two being in the shape of dogs with their teeth bared. He wears a kilt with a blue pattern and leather boots. In his hands is a bone spear with six barbs under the main spear head with various runes engraved into it giving it a magical glow. Oscar is amazed at the figure but sees his persona rushing to the thing that was chasing him.
The beast tries to attack him with its tentacles but Cu uses the back of his spear to redirect them away while spinning and twisting his spear to stab the beast aiming at its eye but stabbing it in the chest as it tries to jump away from the attack. Cu then spins with the beast on the top of his spear before flinging it off into a building, he then uses the fact that it's dazed to his advantage by rushing forward and stabbing it in one of its eyes. It uses this opportunity to wrap its vines around Cu spear and throw it away, in response Cu just cracks his neck and begins punching the beast in the face, dazing it more and more with each hit. He then unleashes a right hook into its face knocking it out before walking up to his spear and pulls it out of the ground before looking at Oscar. "If you would '' says Cu as Oscar just smiles and nods, he then points at the beast and screams at the top of his lungs. "ZIO!" Cu then raises his spear as a bolt of lightning on the beast, killing it. Oscar smiles before passing out.
Time skip
Oscar groans awake as he lifts himself from the bed as he looks around seeing he is back to his room in the ramshackle shack "well that must have be-" he was cut off as Cu voice rings in Oscar head 'If you say this was a dream im gonna kick your ass to next sunday' making the farm boy falls to the floor head first. He looks around until he lands on the mirror as he sees Cu in the reflection sitting on the bed snickering at his user fall.
The mirror begins to fall but Oscar quickly catches it right before it hits the ground and puts it back. 'Hmm relaxes aren't terrible but could definitely use work' says Cu with a hand on his chin as he observes Oscars actions while Oscar just looks at him with a combination of curiosity and annoyance. "Ok then so if you're real, what the heck are you?" Ask Oscar with a large amount of skepticism in his voice as Cu just smirks. 'Well to put it simply I'm a persona, a manifestation of your personality' says Cu as Oscar just looks at him again only now with pure annoyance on his face. Cu yawns as he disappears from the mirror and appears in a ghost-like state as floats around judging Oscar 'You have the potential but how you are at the moment ummm' snarks Cu looking at him. Oscar eye twitch for a moment before bursting in a fit "What are you talking about why do I have the potential for?! And what you mean you are my personality manifest!!" He screams in anger but gets a punch in the head from the persona. Cu huff as he enters the mirror again so he makes his user tired 'Respect your big brother but anyway you have 10 minutes before class' says the persona.
Oscar quickly pulls out his phone to check the time and sees that Cu's right. "Oh shit!" Yells Oscar as he scrambles to put on his beacon outfit sense he hasn't been given a uniform for Night Raven yet. 'Oh and by the way don't go telling anyone about what happened last night' says Cu as he looks at Oscar who is giving him another face of annoyance. "Oh yeah because I'd just go up to my friends and say, Hey I just got sent to some crazy world in a mirror we're I nearly died" sarcastically says Oscar as he adjusts his tie. 'Well there's no need for sarcasm, also I suggest you leave now the walk from here to the main building is at least five minutes' says Cu as he disappears from the mirror.
Oscar zooms out of the dorm as he arrives at the school as he pats and sweats for running too much "Ok..." he was smiling as he suddenly sees the huge rooms, the expensive looking furniture and just the scale of it. He gulps trying to steady his breath, he starts walking to a map on the right, as he notices a white hair wolf faunes teen looking at the map with a red headed one. He walks up to them and greets "Hello there" he greets them.
The wolf glances at him before looking back at the map while the red head turns around and smiles at him. "Hey you're one of the transfer students, nice to meet you the name's Ace" says the now named Ace as he holds out his hand. "Oscar pine" says Oscar as he shakes his hand. "Uhh hey question, do you know the way to chemistry?" Ask Oscar. "Yeah in fact me and Jack here were just on our way there, so follow us" says Ace as he and now name Jack begin walking away from the map with Oscar taking a quick picture of the map with his phone before catching up with the two.
Wild the trio are walking Oscar notices that the wolf is glancing at him a few times before reaching the classroom. "Here we are now, good luck newbie!" says Ace as the three enter and take seats. The now awaken persona user sits next to Jaune who greets him "Morning" he says Oscar says the same thing, he sits next to him as both start talking for a bit "So did you sleep well?" he ask and Oscar nods as he ask something "To you know who Jack is?" He asks, making the blond look surprised but looks to the side "Yes but it's kinda complicated let's say I know some of the savanaclaw people." Oscar gains a smile at hearing this. "Oh well that's nice then" says Oscar as Jaune just continues to look through a book. "So what's your dorm like?" Ask Oscar as Jaune glanced at him before going back to his book. "It's nice, the members are a bit... eccentric to say the least" says Jaune as Oscar looks around seeing the other students in the class with him not recognizing most of them but seeing some familiar faces such as Ace and Riddle.
Oscar sees Riddle glaring at Ace but sits there waiting for the class to start. But he still talks with his blond friend "So ahh who to you know from this school besides Jack?" He asks not noticing said person hearing in not with a firm expression on his face. Jaune glances at him from his book but returns to the reading as he starts talking in a low tone "Just a few, Leona is one but it was just a one time thing long long ago" he explains as he sees the black and white dress teacher enter and closes his book. Oscar was about to ask for more information but is cut short with Jaune eyes burning through his skull "I won't answer more of your stupid questions about my life, i used to be friends with Jack and the red head bitch but that ended long ago, so shut up and pay attention" the blond growls out as he returnes to his neutral state looking at the teacher. Oscar is taking aback as cu in his head says 'Watch your tongue, you may do more harm than good'.
"Yeah you're right, so what was that world anyway" Ask Oscar as he does his best to take notes about what was being told by the professor about the different chemical reactions one could make with a very small amount of ingredients. 'Heck if I know, remember I'm a reflection of you not some mystic sage with answers to crazy questions' says Cu as Oscar looks at him for his questionable choice of words but just sighed. "Guess I'm just gonna have to figure it out some other way" He continues to the lecture and finds himself surprisingly enjoying it.
Small timeskip brought by Chibi Oscar mixing chemicals together.
Class had just ended and Oscar was walking through the halls looking at his phone before putting it away. "Ahh I need to get an actual map of this place" he continues to walk forward but ends up getting knocked to the floor when he reaches a corner. He turns his body to see who knocked him down only to see Jack holding out his hand. "Sorry about that" says Jack as he helps him up. "It's no problem" says Oscar dusting himself off as Jack begins to walk away. Oscar sees this and runs after him. "Hey Jack, wait!" Hearing his name being called he stops and turns back as Oscar catches up to him. "What do you want?" Ask Jack as he stares slightly annoyed at Oscar. "Ahh well I was wondering if you could tell me how to get to math and where I could get a map" ask Oscar as Jack points to the hall he came from. "Walk down that hallway then take a left and it'll be the third door to the right. As for the map just ask the teacher when it's done"
Oscar nods but before he goes he asks another question "Is it true that you were friends with Jaune?" He ask but before he could react he was grab by collar of the neck by a very emotional Jack who eyes were a mix of sorrow, regret, anger and something else as some tears starts forming "Yes i was his friend, yes i can see you want to help but but-" he gets cut off as a voice in the farm boy head rings

Before stopping seeing Jack letting him go "Sorry have a good day" he says before walking away. Cu rings in his head 'Really? I know you want to understand but you went directly to the point?' He sighs as he feels other presences inside the head 'Looks like you have company but that for later go to math' he says before disappearing making Oscar confused, but start walking to the class.
He arrives at the class and begins to take notes but quickly finds himself bored out of skull.
Timeskip
Oscar is walking down the halls of the college heading in no particular direction unaware of the blue door appearing near him. *"Man am I glad it's a free period"* says Oscar as Cu appears and just looks at him with slight disappointment. 'You know I would usually be disappointed by how you're not paying attention but this is a special case so I'll let it pass' says Cu as Oscar just stands there confused before an arm comes out of the door and drags him inside by his shirt. Oscar shouts but is cut off as he impacts with something stopping him from getting injured. He looks around frantically only to calm down as he sees the velvet blue walls of the room. He gets his breathing under control and looks at the three others in the room with him being Qrow, Winter and the leader himself Igor. "Why hello dear guest, I apologize for the rough entrance and assure you it will not happen again but we just needed you here" says Igor as he moves his hands to his assistants. Winter then gets up and walks to the boy and hands him the book. "I must say I'm impressed with how many social links you've gained in such a short time" says Winter as the pages flip by themselves showing images of Whitley, Jaune, Jack and Azul along with a card next to them with different images next to them. Winter takes the book back and takes a seat as Qrow opens his fridge and pulls out four bottles before putting a different colored pill from each into his left hand before putting them in a medicine holder with twenty-two symbols on it. He then begins walking up to Oscar. "These are four the next time you go into the shadow world, only take them while you're there and only one, anymore with the way you are now and who knows what'll happen" says Qrow as he sits back down while Oscar looks at the pills before pocketing the holder. "Now dear guest, is there anything that you would like to ask us?"
The farm boy thinks for a bit and begins asking questions "Well the first thing is what is that world the 'shadow world' how you call it" he ask as the long nosed men answer "Well it actual name is just 'Remnant' but we call it shadow world for simplicity, it a world were the twisted and darkest desires of humanity manifest in physical and monstrous forms" he explains as he creates a simple white mirror in his hands "A persona is a mask that everyone wears to hide their true self, from the world to harness it is to accept your deepest fears and thoughts" he explains as he give the mirror to oscar who catches it when suddenly the mirror change it shape to resemble a diamond shape with bronze ivory wrapping around the sides with gold leaves coming out. He looks surprised at the shape but as it suddenly disappears into lights. He shakes his head for a bit but continues to ask.
"Ok so how can you help me?" He asks if this is some kind of game or story (heh) is best to know what people can offer to help with.
"That is a question to be answered another time dear guest, now I believe are time is up for now" says Igor as Oscar begins to say something as Qrow flicks a pill into his mouth which he accidentally swallows before his vision becomes dark and he falls unconscious and begins to fall forwards but Winter catches him. "Did you really have to do that?" Qrow just shrugs before putting Oscar over his shoulder and heading for the door. "It's fine I just gave him a small sleeping aid, he'll be knocked out for a bit then wake up nice and refreshed" says Qrow as he opens the door into Oscars room and tosses him onto his bed.
Timeskip by Qrow tossing Oscar into the room with a black haired boy wearing glasses and a school uniform.
Oscar wakes up to find himself in his bed, he gets up and looks into the mirror to find himself still in his uniform, he quickly grabs his phone and checks the time to find that it had been a couple of hours sense his last class and the school day ending, he looks back to find Cu in the mirror sitting on the edge of his bed. 'Good to see your finally up' says Cu as he gets up and walks up to the boy. 'Now that your up get ready if your going to get stronger then we're gonna go back to Remnant' says Cu as he disappears. Oscar just sighs and begins walking to his closet only to hear someone knocking on the door. He quickly goes through the hallway into the living room and hears the door being locked on again along with a voice. "Hello! Are you in there!" Says the voice with a country style accent as Oscar opens the door to find a person with Lavender hair and blue eyes wearing a similar out to Jaune holding a box. "Hey your name is Oscar right?" Ask the person as Oscar nods yes. "Good this is your school uniform, we got your measurements so it should fit just fine but if anything about it needs to be changed just come to the Pomefiore dorm and we'll fix it right up" Oscar just takes the box and nods. "Well thank you ahh?" The person looks at him.
"The names Epel Felmier and I'm a boy, now have a nice day and goodbye " says Epel as he leaves while Oscar closes the door and heads back to his room. When he arrives he opens the box and takes out his uniform laying out on the bed finding it to be pretty simple with black dress jacket and pants along with a black and while striped tie, while button up dress shirt, orange dress vest and an orange ribbon with a blank gold emblem on it. "So this is it huh, not bad" says Oscar as he puts it away. 'Now that you're done with that you should really get changed and get going, training isn't gonna do itself' says Cu appearing.
Oscar noods as he starts to change into more suitable clothes he stops mid way on searching for clothes "Ahhh what clothes i should wear?" He asks Cu as he looks at the clothes he had "Because most of this don't fit for combat" he exclaims but sees his persona shrug 'Take any we find clothes and armor in there, probably' shrugs the persona as he waits for his user to finish. Oscar looks at him like he is crazy but remember that he is supposed to be part of him. He continued to change clothes
He now wearing a plain black shirt with a leather jacket, dark brown pants, hiking boots and gloves, he looks himself in the mirror, as his persona examines him 'Well that is usual for now but the boots and gloves are a good choice' says the persona as he points to the pills as he speaks 'Suggest taking those with you' he explains.
Oscar looks at the medicine case that Qrow had given him and put them in his left pocket before walking up to his mirror and taking a deep breath before walking through it. He comes out of another mirror in front of a fountain in the middle of the town of the island he was on. He checks to make sure that everything he brought was with him and sigh with relief to find it all there but something surprised him as he found a belt on his waist that held his baton on the right and the hand mirror he got while in the velvet room on his left. "Those are new" says Oscar as Cu appears next to him still see through. 'At least you have a weapon' says Cu.
