Few house cleaning things before we dive in, I have a new poll up on my profile. It's mostly to determine what story seems to be the most popular, and whichever one gets the most votes will be the one I'll update more frequently. No worries if your choice doesn't win, it just won't be as updated as much. There's a lot to go with between the events of Arkham Origins and Arkham Asylum, so expect some OC stuff there and maybe possibly some Justice League stuff.

"Master Bruce, I've just received word that Penguin has kidnapped Mister Fisk." Bruce stopped in his tracks as he coined in on his earpiece. "Fisk has been kidnapped, how? It's a little difficult to capture a big man like him." Alfred spoke up, "It seems he was making a last minute business venture and Penguin's men jumped him. There are also reports that Penguin may have Falcone's son, Alberto. Maybe he's trying to eliminate his competition early?"

"But that doesn't explain what he would want with Fisk, unless he's after Fisk's money." "I'm not entirely sure either sir, but either way, it's even more imperative that you get to The Final Offer."

"Thanks Alfred." Bruce said softly before narrowing his eyes. 'I won't let anything happen to you Fisk.'

Final Offer, ten minutes later

Batman was watching from the shadows, circling around the little battle pit that Penguin had made. Fisk was face first on the ground with grunts kicking him. "Once I get out of here, you all will know what happens when you mess with Wilson Fisk!" Fisk growled out, barely feeling any pain from the weak kicks.

Batman was quickly going through the labyrinth as he couldn't just walk through the front door after all, avoiding steam vents until he got to a vent he could open. He opened it with his batclaw and climbed through, flying down and kicked one of the grunts in the back.

Seeing his chance, Fisk rolled over and yelled, with great strength, breaking out of his bondage as he stood up. He grabbed two of the grunts and slammed their heads together, knocking them out as Batman dealt with the other two.

Fisk wiped the small trail of blood from his lips. "Batman huh? Didn't expect to see you here."

"Fisk." He started before Tracey made her appearance. "Now that's a naughty geeza. Proper naughty." Fisk looked up at her with a glare. "You set me up Tracey! You were the one who sent Cobblepot's boys on me!"

She shrugged, "It's only business love, you should know that. But we're done with ya Fisk. We gotta give this here "Batman" a proper welcome. Don'e lads?" She gestured to Electrocutioner, who was coming down the stairs.

"Friend of yours Fisk?" Batman said expressionless. "Not in the slightest, but I know who he is, a common thug with some fancy gauntlets."

"You just saved me a lot of trouble coming here, Batman." He jumped down to the arena. "I'm going to kill you, jumpstart your heart, and then kill you again!" He slammed his fist down onto the arena floor as Fisk took a few steps back behind Batman as the electrical surge did nothing to him.

"I'm looking for Black Mask, where is he?" Fisk narrowed his eyes slightly as Batman spoke. "I ain't here to talk, I'm here to kick your ass!" Lester boasted. Batman's eyes narrowed. "This is your last chance."

Lester continued his showboating as electricity surged from his gauntlets. "You're about to be taught a lesson in pain." Before he could brag anymore, Batman walked up to him and jumped up, dropkicking him in the face. Electrocutioner fell down on his back, knocked out, as his gauntlets stopped surging.

Fisk shook his head as he heard Calculator laughing in his ear. "Now I know why you weren't worried about Buchinsky. Christ, he got knocked out in one hit!"

"Who wants to show me where the Penguin is?" Batman demanded before Fisk put his hand on Batman's shoulder. "He's up top, he was bragging about getting Falcone out of the weapons business through Alberto. Whatever he says about Black Mask, don't believe him. There's more going on, and yes I've heard about the bounty on your head."

Batman's eyes narrowed but before he could speak, Fisk spoke more. "Batman, I'm a billionaire that runs two successful and separate companies. You'd be surprised at how much I learn." He stared at him. "Personally, I believe that you can do this. I heard about what happened to Commissioner Loeb. Just know that nobody blames you for that, you did all you could."

Batman frowned softly before walking past Fisk. "We aren't finished here Fisk. I'll want to know why you were out this late and how you're getting a hold of the information that you have." Fisk smiled softly. "Fair enough."

Batman went through the battle pit exit, the door closing behind him as Fisk walked towards the entrance, giving a two finger salute to Deathstroke up in the rafters.

Outside of the Final Offer

"Well I think that went well." Fisk said as his coms was open with Calculator. "Indeed sir, but how did you know Buchinsky wasn't a threat to him?" "Because he's a common street thug. A thug that got overconfident because of his electric gauntlets. I probably should've grabbed those, but I'm sure this mysterious man who is pretending to be Black Mask will call a meeting to see how the assassins are doing."

Fisk fixed his tie before seeing a big screen hanging from the top of the Final Offer. He raised an eyebrow at it but largely ignored it, figuring it was something Batman could handle. He placed his hands in his pockets before walking off the ship as he noticed some type of box that had something inside it that was glowing bright green. He tapped his ear. "Calculator, any ideas as to what this is?"

"Ah ah, Mister Fisk. Those aren't for you to mess with." Fisk narrowed his eyes at the new voice in his coms. "Who are you, and how did you hack into my communications with my office?" "Well isn't that the billion dollar question huh? Let's just say I know who you are Mr. Fisk, or should I say, Kingpin?" "Quite impressive, you know my underworld identity. Not even the Batman has figured that one out yet."

"Information is what I tend to work with. Just like I'm aware of how Mr. Kuttler is furiously trying to figure out how I managed to hack through his firewalls to have this conversation with you." Fisk chuckled softly. "So that's how you work huh? Riddles, half answers, clues. An enigma huh?" "Precisely! I'm glad that there's an actual brain in that bulk of muscle! It's so hard trying to find another intellectual with this simpletons running around."

"So this is something for the Bat huh? I'll let it flow Mr. Enigma. If it's at all possible, I'd actually like to employ you to help Mr. Kuttler to make my technological security impenetrable, especially to Batman." There was no response from Enigma before Calculator came back through. "Sir I'm so sorry, I have no idea how he managed to get through our security."

Fisk waved his hand, "It's quite alright. These little things are for the Bat, so I won't touch them. I think we just found someone whose just as good, if not better than you at computers and hacking. I've invited him to work on my security to improve it."

Fisk turned off his coms for the time, laughing heartily as he had heard Calculator grumbling about it. He looked and saw some of Black Mask's men coming towards him with guns aimed at him.

"Mr. Fisk, you'll be coming with us. The boss wants to have a word with you." Fisk, wondering what Mask wanted with him, held his hands up. "By all means gentlemen, lead on."

'If he wants me already, despite me being one of the assassins, it probably means he wants in the bank. It's coined to mine and Sionis's signatures after all.' Fisk thought as he followed the men, listening to their small talk as they lead him to the Gotham Merchants Bank.

Inside the Gotham Merchants Bank

Fisk was humming to himself as he was escorted through the bank. "I wonder if Francesca is here tonight." One of the men went to hit him with his rifle before Fisk turned and glared at him, making the man shrink in fear as the others laughed at him.

"Please know your role, I'm sure Black Mask wouldn't want me injured, especially if he's trying to get into the faults." Fisk said in a calm manner. "Calculator, what's the Bat up to now?" He whispered into his earpiece.

"Sir, he just left Lacey Towers. He must've investigated the supposed rumor of Black Mask's death. He's heading for the Bank as we speak." Calculator updated him, causing Fisk to nod his head slightly, a smirk crossing his face.

He was led into the bank vault as there was Black Mask in all his glory, another man in a suit just like his with a bag over his head, and the bank manager, Francesca. "Roman Sionis, we finally meet." Fisk said, fixing his wrists after they were untied.

"Wilson Fisk, owner of Fisk Industries. How nice of you to join us." He bowed mockingly, causing a few of the men to let out a few chuckles. "Well you had a pretty compelling argument: arrive to the party or get a bullet in the head." Fisk stated, a smirk crossing under the mask of "Black Mask". "At least you know how to have a bit of fun, Mr. Fisk."

"Can't be serious all the time, though I'm quite a bit upset at the abduction. But I'm a logical man, I figured you needed into the vaults. Something that I set up as a security measure as partners right? If either of us were to be kidnapped and they tried to use one of us to get into the vault, they'd need both of us." Fisk stated calmly as Francesca was openly laughing.

Fisk moved up slightly to sit on the bank truck, causing it to tilt slightly from his weight. "The Batman is on his way here, should be a good show." Mask was pointing his gun at Fisk the whole time, before pulling it away. "Oh yes, a very…. entertaining show…."

Meanwhile

Batman had just showed up to the bank, using his detective vision to scan through the lobby. 'Bodies everywhere. The Joker may still be here – in the vault. I should use caution.' He found a grate on the wall that lead to the vault and used the batclaw to pull it down. 'They're all dead – but there's something more sinister going on here.' He jumped up and climbed through the vent, kicking the other end out before landing on solid ground, above the vault. He used his explosive gel to blast through the ceiling and landed in front of two henchmen.

Fisk just clapped his hands together slowly, smirking softly. "And the man of the hour has arrived." Bruce had a sign of shock internally as Batman stood stalwart. 'Fisk is involved with Mask? How? Or is he involved with the Joker?'

Black Mask had his gun, a slight show of anger in his voice. "You think you can just waltz in on mine and Fisk's bank huh?" "Roman, I'm here for the Joker." Batman stated calmly but seriously. "The Joker? Never heard of him."

He walked up to Francesca and pointed the gun at her, a grin forcibly spread across her face. "How about you doll? Know the Joker?" She held her best to not laugh, a question raised in Fisk's head, but he ignored it for now. "The who?" She said with a slight giggle at the end.

One of his men brought up the man with a bag over his head and forced him on his knees. "Black Mask" walked around him before finally taking it off. "And you sir? Name Joker ring a bell?" Once the bag was off, it revealed the real Roman Sionis, duct tape over his mouth and him looking a little worse for wear.

Fisk held a stoic gaze. 'Seems like I was right. But it appears that this Black Mask may actually be the Joker that Batman is looking for.' The man in the Black Mask ripped off the tape as Sionis grunted in slight pain.

Sionis glared daggers at the fake Black Mask. "You son of a bitch! You think you can steal from me and get away with it? You're a dead man! Dead!" Fisk could tell Mask was losing his patience before he turned around and repeatedly nailed Sionis with his pistol.

"Can't… you…just…. play…along!?" His voice raised slightly in anger before calming himself, Francesca was laughing openly now with a shout of "You're insane!" as Batman tried to move, but the two gunmen behind him still had their guns aimed on him.

Fisk moved to the side, sitting in the back of the truck as the men dragged Sionis in and threw him into the back. The fake mask decided it was time for his unveiling as he stopped at the truck and took off the mask, revealing a pale white face, green hair, red lips as well as a smile that seemed carved into his face.

Fisk was a bit bewildered by the appearance, but the man started to let out a sinister chuckle. Batman glared at them. "It's been you the whole time – you hired the assassins. You've been running Sionis' operations."

Fisk laughed heartily, turning the two men's attention to him. "Indeed Batman. It wasn't that hard to figure out. When he contacted me this morning, I knew it wasn't Roman Sionis that called. You've managed to take down two of the nine assassins so far, which by the way Lester Buchinsky got knocked out in a single blow Joker."

Joker frowned from the information. "Well, that's pretty pathetic." He murmured softly as Fisk continued. "Anytime me, Falcone or Penguin made a move against his operations," Fisk pointed at Joker. "He didn't react in the mad anger that Sionis usually did, taking things more calmly and calculating than Roman ever could. I must say, bravo."

Batman's glare intensified. "But why are you involved Fisk? Fisk Industries is a legitimate business, your hands are clean." Fisk looked at his hands with a small chuckle. "I suppose right now they are, but after tonight, no one will believe a vigilante over the words of Gotham's beacon of hope. Fisk Industries will continue with its ground-breaking scientific breakthrough and Damage Control will repair the damages caused by the fights of so-called heroes and villains throughout the world."

Joker started to laugh, getting the so-called punchline. "Why? Why do all this? Money? Power?" Joker spoke up, "Because he can! Ahh fat man, I knew there was a reason I liked you!" Before he got into the truck, hanging onto the door, he shot three bullets at Batman in three different spots before throwing Francesca towards the Bat. "Here! Have a laugh on me!"

The truck drove off as the few that didn't get onto the truck ran after it as the bank vault exploded, causing Batman to grab Francesca and lunge back towards the main lobby area.

Fisk crossed his arms with his eyes closed, hearing the future Clown Prince of Crime's laughter. "He's not dead." He simply stated causing the clown to stop and stare at him. "What do you mean he's not dead? I shot him three times and then proceeded to practically drop a building on him?!"

"Slade Wilson, the world's greatest assassin couldn't beat him. Think about it for a minute. Until you see a body, never assume someone is dead." Fisk opened his eyes. "I would know, Sionis has tried to have me assassinated many times, both as Kingpin and as Wilson Fisk." He felt a presence in the truck before feeling a singular claw against his throat, not piercing it, but as a threat.

Joke narrowed his eyes and radioed his men in the lobby area of the bank. "So my dear old friend Fisky just informed that the bat may not be dead. Kill him, bring the body to me, or I'll kill you!" He turned the radio off before chuckling softly.

Fisk narrowed his eyes, "Copperhead my dear, take a seat." The flexible, South American contortionist scoffed slightly and did so. "I'm surprised to see a female running around with that name, but surprises can be pleasant."

"Tsk, save it pendejo." The feminine assassin said as she sat back. "What's the next move?" Joker cupped his chin in thought before Fisk spoke up. "A meeting." Joker raised an eyebrow, "To bring up this new development. Some believe that Black Mask is dead. You can spin it however you want, but the fact of the matter is that you're the one in charge of this."

The truck kept going, on its way to the Royal Hotel, as Joker thought about it. He nodded his head with a grin, "And you said it best, surprises can be pleasant, they can also pack a mean punch." Kingpin nodded his head. "And of course, there must be a price for failure, if you know who I'm talking about."

Joker narrowed his eyes, "That zappy failure." Kingpin smirked, "Exactly. The idiot was too overconfident and was the easiest one to being taken out. Shiva will have her own test, Deadshot may be there on radio because he tends to take the long game with his sniping. That leaves me, our darling contortionist here, Bane, and that pyromaniac."

Copperhead's eyes widened, "Bane? Hijo de la puta, how did you hire him?!" Joker just laughed at the question. "As for me, I can help out a bit at the hotel with whatever you need. Just do remember, I'm worth more alive as I can get you better quality henchmen, and you'll need those in droves if you plan on becoming a big power."

He didn't say it with arrogance on his position, no he knew the second that he became a problem to the clown, he'd be ended, and right now, his plans were too big for him to be taken out prematurely. Joker just let out a cackle as they drove to the hotel.
