Chapter 2-Two Degrees of Separation

After rough start Twilight and Dawn have begun their Pokémon Journey. Dawn was riding on her bike while Twilight was walking to Route 202. Both Dawn and Twilight were going a separate ways to start their goal.

As Dawn and Piplup were attempting to catch a Pokémon, Twilight and Cyndaquil were down the forest pathway.

"Cyndaquil, do know what a Pokémon Gym is?" She asked. Cyndaquil shook her head looking confused.

"Pokémon Gym is where the Leader tests trainer's strength and skills between trainers and their Pokémon! Beat the Gym Leader, you get a badge, collect all 8, you qualify for Sinnoh League, and win that you take on the Elite Four and then Champion." Twilight explained.

"Cynda…" The Fire-Mouse Pokémon grew amazed as its back flare-up with eagerness! Just then, A wild Pokémon was walking along. Both hid behind a bush and Twilight saw it.

"Wow, Elekid…You don't see that every day." She pulls out her Pokedex and examined it. "Cyndaquil, I think that Elekid should be our first test new Pokémon friend to Catch. Are you ready Cyndaquil?" Twilight asked. Cyndaquil shouted with excitement.

Elekid noticed the two and prepare to fight! "Cyndaquil, use Ember!" Twilight shouted. Fireballs were blasted towards Elekid, who dodged it! However Twilight had a plan for that.

"When you dodge, you dodge it all! Use Quick Attack!" Twilight Sneered. Cyndaquil surprised it with Quick Attack, sending it toward the grounds! Elekid got back and charged its body!

"That's Thunder! Dodge and use Ember again!" Twilight shouted again, thanks to Cyndaquil's speed it was able to dodge Elekid's Thunder and blast it into a tree! Twilight smiled as she took her Pokeball.

"Go, Pokeball!" Twilight yelled, throwing the red-white ball at The Electric Pokémon. As it was zapped inside, it shook a few times, then stopped.

"Alright! We just caught Elekid! And all thanks to you, Cyndaquil!" The Fire-Mouse Pokémon blushed in red while she cheered. Twilight released Elekid, which looked around to see its new trainer!

"Nice to meet you, Elekid! I'm Twilight Sparkle and this is Cyndaquil! My partner!" Twilight replied to Elekid. "Cy!" Cyndaquil greeted. Elekid nodded at Cyndaquil and fist bump to Twilight!

"Welcome to the "BOOM! "Was that an explosion just now!" Twilight said to herself as she saw a Thunderbolt!

"It looks like it came from Dawn and Piplup are. Come on guys let's check it out!" Twilight said as she and her Pokémon ran toward the explosion.

Meanwhile, Dawn and Piplup failed to catch a Buneary and a Burmy. They found their confidence and try again. Just there about to move the bushes rustle, it is revealed to be a Pikachu (Ash's Pikachu). Despite as a Water Type Piplup had the disadvantage to Pikachu being Electric Type but they both took the chance to catch it.

"Alright! Take it from the top! Use Bubble Beam!" Dawn yelled. Piplup unleashed its Water-type move but was canceled out by Pikachu's Thunderbolt. Both gasp of their power.

"Whoa! So, that's what a Thunderbolt looks like! Okay Piplup, used Peck!" Dawn called. Piplup jumped, aimed the Flying Type on the weakened Electric Type. But that was a mistake, as Pikachu once again used Thunderbolt but instead of hitting Pipulp, it burnt Dawn's bike! "My bike! It's extra crispy!" Dawn shrieked. That made Dawn mad as she knew Pikachu had taken serious damage.

So, she throws the Pokeball at it only to find out the ball bounced away! "Hold on! If that didn't work, then you already belong to someone else but then where your trainer?" Dawn asked.

Pikachu grew a little frightened as began to run away only to be corned by Seviper, Cacnea, Dustox, Geodude, and Golduck!

"What are they doing here!" Dawn asked as she was startled to see the new Pokémon! Just then, Meowth appeared! "There's my Pikachu crew!" Meowth cackled.

Dawn was surprised that Meowth could talk she took her Pokedex and scanned him.

"And what blabberbox won't tell you about not only cream of the Poke-crop, but I'm also the king of the cuties, too!" Meowth explained. Then Jessie, James, Dana, and Duke came out of the bushes to see Pikachu trapped!

"Zooks!" Duke cried out. "Looks we strike Pika-gold!" James snickered. Then the Quinet saw Dawn with her Pokeball. "Little girl, you really shouldn't mess around your Pokeballs before you take someone's eyes out!" Dana taunted her.

"Yet, due unwillingly butting you quite help us out a bit!" Jessie grinned evilly! Pikachu was annoyed and them a Thunderbolt!

"You and your big mouth Jess!" Duke screamed as he was shocked.

Then they got up and ordered the Pokémon to attack it! Pikachu dodged Poison Tail, Rollout, Pin Missile, Psybeam, and Sliver Wind but it grew exhausted and weak! Dawn couldn't stand by watching this happen, so she ordered Pipulp to use Bubble Beam, blowing Team Rocket's Pokémon away!

"What the big idea, squirt!?" Duke shouted being annoyed.

"Look, This Pikachu doesn't like you whoever you are!" Dawn retorted. Then Team Rocket did their motto!

"Never heard of you," Dawn started as Team Rocket to fall apart.

"The nerve of that Twerpette! Not knowing who we are!" Jessie shrieked with annoyance.

"I wonder if she knows where the heck are we?" Duke asked while getting up.

"Just outside of Sandgem Town!" Dawn answered.

"The Sinnoh Region! Boy did screw this up really good!" James gasped!

"You never were sticker for asking directions." Dana snorted at him.

"That why doesn't blasted thing about us! There's no Team Rocket Sinnoh expansion!" James explained to the others.

"I find it hard to believe that is your Pikachu! For starters why is safe in its Pokeball?" Dawn asked.

Both Dana and Jessie ignored her question make grabbed for Dawn's Piplup!

"Seviper! Use Wrap!" Jessie ordered.

"Golduck! Use Shadow Claw!" Dana commanded it. Golduck attacks Piplup giving serious damage then Seviper wrapped its coil around it! "Piplup!" Dawn gasped.

"Say, the blue Pokémon looks catchable!" Jessie sneered.

"Yeah, and with Pikachu they make some green!" said Meowth.

Dawn grew scared as Pipulp couldn't move as Seviper tighten its grip on it. How is she going both at the same time!

"Cyndaqull! Use Ember! And Elekid! Use Thunder Punch!" a voice called out. Fireballs were blasted Seviper, and Elekid's Thunder Punch bashed it out Pipulp's wrap prison! Dawn turned to see that Twilight with her two Pokémon running towards the commotion!

"Great timing, Twilight!" Dawn replied, relieved to see her childhood friend.

"Sorry, it took so long, Dawn. I didn't expect to see some weirdos bothering you." Twilight explained, putting thumbs up!

"Why you-! Weirdos!? Not bad for two twerps but it's time for you to see why Team Rocket is feared all over Kanto. "Dana shrieked.

"Let them cry in our evil wake!" James shouted.

"Show them what they mean!" Duke yelled. All of Team Rocket Pokémon attacked. "Use Bubble Beam!" Dawn shouted. "One more time, Ember and Thunder Punch!" Twilight yelled.

Pikachu joined in the attack as Thunder Punch, Ember and Thunderbolt and Bubblebeam blasted the three enemy Pokémon, causing an explosion on Team Rocket!

"That was a quick trip." Jessie sighed.

"Jessie is right!" James replied.

"We had a little look!" Meowth agreed.

"WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" Dana and Duke screamed as they were vanished out of sight into the sky!

"Good riddance." Twilight sighed. Cyndaquil, Elekid, Piplup cheered with Pikachu until fell to the ground panting!

Dawn gasped as she picked it up! "Is that Pikachu, okay?" Twilight asked.

"I don't think so, we need to find a Pokémon Center and fast!" Dawn answered while being concern.

"I know the closet place! Follow me! Elekid thanks for the help! Return!" Twilight called to return the Elekid this Pokeball.

Hours Later at The Pokémon Center…

"Nurse Joy, I'd like to register for the Sinnoh League if you don't mind." Twilight explained

"I'll be checking it in a minute!" Nurse Joy registered, taking the Pokedex, and placing it under a scanner.

After for a few seconds, Nurse Joy gave the Pokedex back to Twilight, saying that he was registered, and wished him luck. "Dawn, I'll be heading out to train for a while. Please keep an eye on Pikachu for all of us please?"

"Not a problem , Twilight!" Dawn replied.

As Twilight left, Dawn decided to have a talk with her mom and Prof. Rowan.
