Heaterist Prime: Otto,do You know what Kievan Rus once was & how did The so called Genghis khan conquer it?

Otto: Yeah, and those ships also can able to sail even to shower rivers, which why those rivers in Eastern Europe where so vital to their trade

Sludge: Yeah,but aren't East Slavs happy being under those Vikings?

Snarl: Well,duh there are very few Vikings who tried their attempts to sack Eastern Europe!

Otto: sure, there's even a war between Viking Rus' & a coalition of East Slavic, Baltic & Finno-Ugric tribes who had enough & successfully kicked Viking Rus' out

The East Slavs in particular had realised that they had absolutely no order to repair the damage they caused,as such they convinced The Viking Rus' to send Rurik & two younger brothers to return & bring the new order to help them rebuild.

Otto: yup, in fact Rurik Rurikid also established His own dynasty in which Rurik's successors eventually founding a NEW Rus state that bares the namesake's name: Russia

Otto: this is the only source about The Origins of founders of Kievan Rus & those founder's great grandchildren would also eventually find Russia. No one,but Monk name Nestor ever documented Our Ancestors, that's why The Russian Primary Chronicle is so much important to piece together Our origin, even if there's a bit of romanticised moments y'know.
