Part Three
Unsurprisingly, the group reached the meeting point early.
"Alright we won!"
"Kirby, it wasn't a competition."
"Yeah. But we still won!"
"We weren't- ugh... never mind." Minestrone uttered with a sigh.
"Sigh quieter, please." The still sleeping Granita mumbled.
Minestrone facepalmed at that, not noticing Bicerin waving checkered flag.
"Kirby, do you know how long it takes to reach here from the other areas?" Risotto asked.
"Well, knowing Meta Knight, he should be here in just a few minutes. As for Reedy's group, at most an hour."
Minestrone gave an irritated sigh. "Great. So, we just sit around here and do nothing for like an hour?"
"I said at most. For all we know he might be ten minutes away."
"Ugh... I hope that's the case..."
"What's the matter, Minestroners? Something happen?" A familiar, cheerful voice said from a distance.
"Ah, that's Fettuccine." Risotto stated.
"I already know that!"
"Minestroners?" Kirby asked curiously.
"She gives nicknames to everyone." Risotto explained. "
Yeah, and some of them are pretty bad..." The man in glasses grumbled as he pushed them up.
"She does it on purpose because she finds it amusing." Granita mumbled sleepily.
Soon, Meta Knight's group could be seen approaching them.
"Kirbo, Bicycle, Granny, Ris! It's good to see you all doing well! Wait, is she actually sleeping? Wow, this cave is more amazing than I thought." Fettuccine said happily.
Kirby perked up at that. "Hello everyone! Fettuccine, why are you holding my sensei?"
The knight didn't respond, as if he was too embarrassed to explain and quickly teleported away.
"Hey, get back mister, I'm not done yet!" She yelled chasing after him.
Kirby then looked at Pandoro who was just laughing at the display. "She simply desired to have one more hug before being, in her own words, "tragically separated"."
"But aren't we all going to meet up once again later? Why would we be separated for that long?"
"It's called being over dramatic for the sake of comedy." Tira said, something he was overly familiar with because of his brother.
"But why did Meta Knight teleport away then?" Kirby then remembered that Meta Knight teleported away all the time, even over the smallest thing. "Never mind."
"So now we just need the captain to show up." Risotto said.
"Yup. So did you guys find anything interesting?" Kirby asked the remaining members of Meta Knight's team.
"We only found one thing. That blue-streaked bimbo wouldn't stop jabbering with the blueberry..." Misu grumbled in annoyance.
His brother then punched the Misu part of the body. "Don't call her that, you idiot!"
"I CAN CALL HER WHATEVER I WANT, YOU IDIOT!"
"Not in front of the child!"
"HE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT IT MEANS!"
"Which is why you shouldn't say it!"
"THAT'S ONLY WITH SWEARING!"
"It's a derogatory term that he doesn't need to know about! It's also not even accurate as Fettuccine's smarter than most of us!"
"She doesn't act like it! And what part of "I can call her whatever I want" don't you get?!"
"Dude, she tricked you into giving her our life story with a single sentence. Smart people don't need to act smart."
As the two kept arguing, Kirby leaned over to Pandoro.
"Are they always like this?"
"That they are." The samurai replied bluntly.
"Should I try stopping them?"
"Either they'll get tired of fighting with each other, Reedy will already be back here before they can, or Fettuccine will find out. So, no."
That was when he thought of something. "Wait, but doesn't Fettuccine not like hurting people? What will she do?"
"Oh, you misunderstand. Lady Fettuccine hates hurting people she cares for. But if someone were to do something that greatly upsets her. Well, there's an old saying that goes, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned."
Kirby wanted to question further, but he decided against it. Hopefully, Reedy would be back soon.
After a half hour of waiting, and Misu trying not to get captured by Fettuccine, Reedy finally arrived.
"I apologize for the lateness. This place was a bit harder to navigate than I thought." The man said.
"Thank whatever gods exist!" Misu exclaimed. "Please put me on another team!"
Reedy looked at the twin Limet. "Tira, do you wish to change teams?"
"I wasn't the one having problems! It was this idiot that was having problems!" Tira exclaimed, pointing directly at his Misu half.
"Who are you calling an idiot?!"
"You, idiot!"
"Enough, both of you. Let me guess, judging by Fettuccine's expression Misu said or did something inappropriate?"
"Of course! The idiot went and called her a blue-streaked bimbo!"
"I see. Fettuccine, leave Tira alone when you interrogate Misu later."
The woman's expression, which consisted of a clearly forced smile and a horrifying death stare, relaxed and she returned to her usual smiling appearance. "Okey dokey, captain!"
"Wait a minute, if those two share the same body, how can you interrogate just one of them?"
"Her interrogation is completely mental, not physical."
"But wouldn't that still affect Tira?"
"No. They share a body, not a brain."
Kirby still wanted to say that Tira was still in the same body as Misu, so he will likely still see his brother's interrogation, but he decided to not say anything else.
"So, you said we're going to swap teams, right? Who's getting who?"
"You'll be getting Meta's team, I'll be getting yours, and Meta mine."
The puff nodded in understanding. "Alright then! Let's swap!"
The group swapped around and almost immediately, Reedy and Meta Knight went off in different directions without another word. As a result, Kirby was now left with Pandoro, Fettuccine, and Tiramisu.
"Well, Kirby, where shall we go? Preferably somewhere where I can get some exercise. I've yet to find any monsters worth fighting." Pandoro spoke up.
"I mean, all the areas have monsters within them. But what kind of monster are you specifically looking for?"
"Something that I can't easily cut in half with one strike."
Kirby nodded, noticing the similarities between her and Meta Knight's thought processes. "Well, how about rocks? Are those hard to cut in one strike for you?"
Pandoro smiled. "Ah, a rock giant or something similar lives here? Perfect."
"Yup! Wam Bam Aztec and Wam Bam Rock!"
"Aztec? What is he made of?"
"Rocks. Both of them are made of rocks." He then scratched his head. "Maybe if we get lucky, we might see Wham Bam Jewel, since I think Knuckle Joe said he fought him here."
"Jewel. Some jewels are stronger than rock. Then it's decided, please take us there."
"Hey, shouldn't we get a say in this?" Misu asked.
"Ok, what do you think, Tira?" Fettuccine asked with her usual smile.
"I don't really care where we go, honestly. Anywhere is better than just standing still." He said while shrugging his side of the body.
"Ok, then let's go!"
"Wait a minute, are you ignoring me?!"
"Kirby, are flies common in this cave? I keep hearing a particularly loud one." Fettuccine said innocently.
"They are, but they're pretty big and some can't fly!" Kirby replied, completely oblivious to what she was exactly talking about.
"I see. And how do you normally deal with these flies?" She asked, going along with the child's innocent enthusiasm.
"I ignore them unless they directly get in the way! Then I just simply knock them out!"
"WILL YOU STOP TALKING?!" Misu shouted.
"So just punch them as hard as possible. Thanks for the tip!" She said, staring directly at Misu with her left eye.
"Only if they're getting in your way! Otherwise, just ignore them!"
"I THOUGHT I SAID TO STOP TALKING TO HER!"
Fettuccine then looked fully at Misu. "I know five embarrassing stories about you that you don't want anyone knowing." She said, all playfulness in her voice gone.
This made Misu shudder and fall quiet. Tira however couldn't stop himself from laughing at his brother's self-inflicted misfortune.
"Let's get going, Kirby. They can catch up later, that they can." Pandoro uttered as she began to walk off.
"Oh ok!" He yelled as he ran to catch up.
As the duo continued to walk, they once more continued their conversation.
"So, Pandoro, what kind of sword do you use? It looks somewhat like Bio Spark's, but curvier."
"Oh, this is a katana I make using metal from my own body." She replied. She then drew it out, making Kirby notice something interesting.
"It doesn't look sharp?"
"Ah, you've noticed. That is because it is in "reverse blade" mode. You see, the edge is on the side of the blade, making it impossible to kill with. However, I can change it to give it an edge if I desire."
"So, a sword that can't hurt others too much... that's so cool!"
"That it is. I prefer not to kill if I don't have to."
"But you still like fighting?"
"I enjoy a good challenge, yes, but not the act of taking lives."
The puff nodded in understanding. "Do you like things other than fighting?"
"Of course. I enjoy tea, poetry, and meditation."
"Is that why you and Meta Knight are best friends? I know he likes tea, though he also likes coffee."
"We bonded over those things yes, but our bond truly started with our shared love of swords and debating the meaning of strength with each other."
"Yeah... that does sound like him..." The puff replied. Then he thought about the question he asked his mentor before they met up. "What do you like about my sensei?"
"That's quite simple: His overwhelming charisma. He may very well be the most charismatic man I've met. Even when he was younger, he had the makings of a true leader."
Kirby smiled. "You must really like him, don't you?"
"He is a good friend, that he is."
The puff continued to walk with the samurai in comfortable silence as they headed to their destination, the Garden Area in the Great Cave.
"So, do you love Meta Knight?" Kirby suddenly asked which caused Pandoro to trip and fall. "Ah! Are you ok!?"
"Oro?"
"What?" The child tilted his head in confusion.
Pandoro stood up and regained her composure. "No, I don't love him in the way that you mean. We're simply just good friends."
"Oh... well, that's good!"
"That it is." She smiled.
"Are you gonna ask me why I like Metty?" Fettuccine suddenly said, surprising both of them with her sudden appearance.
"Um... if you want to answer that..." Kirby replied, still a bit startled.
"Well, if you insist. It's because of how kind and sweet he is under that gruff exterior of his!"
"I know, right? It makes me upset to see him say that he's not a good person!" The puff replied. Then he asked her another question. "So, do you love him?"
Fettuccine smiled in response to this question, but somehow the child knew there was something else behind it. "I wouldn't say I love him in the same way Reedy and Raita love each other. But I certainly care deeply for him."
"I can tell that you do!" Kirby gave a smile as he said that.
"Yup. I understand that Meta himself isn't interested in romance right now, which is why I'm content with just being his friend. Tell me, Kirby, is there anyone you might love?"
"...I dunno." He said with a shrug.
"Is that right? What do you think about fairies?"
"I think they're nice! Well... I've only really talked to Ribbon, but from what I've talked to with Raita, she's nice, too!"
Fettuccine smiled, a smile that Pandoro recognized as the "gotcha" smile. "And who is this Ribbon?"
"She's a really nice fairy I helped out a while ago! We still talk a lot, but we don't see each other much because she lives on Ripple Star."
"How often do you think about her?"
"I guess I think about her pretty often."
"And does talking to her and thinking about her make you happy?"
"Yup!" He then blinked. "Wait a minute, why are you asking all these questions?"
"To get an answer to my original question. Looks like you do have someone you love~!"
"I do?" He tilted his head in questioning.
Fettuccine chuckled. "You're a good kid, Kirby. I'm sure you'll make Ribbon very happy someday."
"I already make her happy, though! Like you do with Meta Knight!"
The woman smiled in response, but it was in a noticeably sad manner.
"No, Kirby, there's a pretty big difference. But I'll let you figure that out for yourself." She thought to herself.
"Hm? Is something wrong?" He then asked, noticing the sad feeling eminating from her.
"Nothing at all!"
"Ohhh... ok!" Then he decided to ask this group the same question he asked the previous group as they walked. "So, I was wondering... why did you guys join Reedy's group?"
"Literally no other group wanted us." Tira said.
"We tried out for every group, but Reedy was the only one that saw how useful we are." Misu replied smugly.
"More like he saw the value of my piloting skills. At the time, no other squad need a jet pilot except for him." Tira clarified.
"Oh, you can pilot a jet?"
"It's my main talent. Really the only thing I excel at."
"Really? I'm sure there's something else you're great at!"
"I mean we're decent fighters. We are fairly good with strategy. Piloting is just the best thing I'm at. Which is fine by me. There's nowhere I feel more comfortable at then behind the wheel of my personal jet."
Kirby nodded in understanding. "What about you, Pandoro and Fettuccine?"
"Well, I'm a master interrogator. The whole point of the intelligence division is to use our skills to gain information and use that information to help other divisions and catch criminals. Reedy's team was really my only option. Not that I'd be opposed to joining other groups, just that Reedy's was the most advantageous."
"And by "others" you mean the combat division 'cuz that'd keep you close to your boyfriend, wouldn't you?" Misu grumbled with his arms crossed.
"When they were seven, Misu tried eating their own core to see what it tasted like." She said in her usual manner.
"THAT'S NOT TRUE! AND YOU CAN'T DENY WHAT I SAID BECAUSE IT'S TRUE!"
"He tried asking Raita out the moment he saw her. With Reedy right there."
"THAT'S ALSO A LIE!"
"No, it's all true. I would know, because I'm attached to this idiot for all of time."
"Oh, shut up, you!" Misu shouted as he punched his other half.
"...Pandoro, did she actually try to join the combat division?"
"No. She's been on missions with the combat division, but she's never tried joining them. She was simply stating that she wouldn't have minded joining any other division. Why Misu brought up the combat division specifically is most curious."
"IT'S BECAUSE IT WAS THE DIVISION HER STUPID CRUSH WAS PART OF! OF COURSE SHE DOESN'T WANT TO BE PART OF IT ANYMORE!"
"I didn't meet Meta until after I became a member of the Task Force, Misu. We're talking about why I joined Reedy over other groups, not why I stayed. Heck, even after befriending Meta I had no desire of leaving my current position. If you're going to make dumb accusations at least actually try putting thought into them."
"Yeah, but didn't you still have thoughts about it!?"
"I had thoughts of asking to be a temporary member to look after Meta after that one incident, but not about joining that division full time. I'm perfectly happy where I am, thank you very much. And again, the question was about why I joined the intelligence division. My feelings towards Meta have nothing to do with that so bringing him up is irrelevant." Fettuccine said in a tone that made Misu fear for his life.
"Wait, why would Meta Knight be irrelevant? Aren't you two friends?" Kirby asked, not really understanding the conversation and just wishing they would stop fighting.
"Let's just leave them be." Pandoro replied, picking him up and running off.
Before they could get too far, Fettuccine stopped them, now looking somewhat alarmed by what Kirby said. "Oh, no, no, Metty isn't irrelevant at all! I was just saying that my own feelings towards him were irrelevant to my decision to stay with Reedy's group. Meta will always be important to me, but so is my current job. You know how Meta loves being the leader of his own crew? Well, I feel the same way about my position. Does that make sense to you, Kirby?"
The puff in question took a moment to think before he finally gave a response. "...I'm confused."
"Then let me put this as simply as possible. Meta and I love each other as just friends. Think of us like your friendship with that Ribbon girl. You're both great friends but your lives don't revolve around each other."
For some reason, this only made Kirby feel even more confused, mostly due to having a vague feeling that she was hiding something, but he also somewhat understood it and decided to try to drop it.
"So, why did you join, Pandoro?"
"Yes, I'd assume me being in the intelligence division is a tad strange, but every group needs a dedicated fighter. I believed the intelligence division was in need of more raw power because at that point very few of the members were good at fighting."
"Well, I guess that makes sense. Meta Knight always requires even the noncombatants on the Halberd to have some form of self-defense training."
The samurai nodded. "That is indeed ideal. It is also why I joined this division."
"Was there another reason?" He asked.
Pandoro looked hesitant before deciding to explain. "Back in my past, I was much more violent. At some point, though, I decided I needed to change. I believed a mostly peaceful division would help figure out ways of dealing with my more aggressive tendencies. As you can see, it worked."
The child looked at her in understanding as he remembered what Meta Knight told him about her former title. "I'm glad that it did work."
"I am too. Which is why I still remain in this division, even if Kurabe's division would technically be more fitting for one such as myself."
The puff smiled. "Now that all of that is settled, let's get looking for treasure!"
The rest nodded and followed after him.
"So, let's see... there should a few around here somewhere."
"Oro?" He heard from behind him and turned to see Pandoro falling face first into the ground.
"Ah! Are you ok?!"
"I'm fine and I think I found one."
"Then open it up and let's see what it is!"
Nodding and still a bit disoriented, Pandoro opened it up a bit clumsily.
"Oooh, what is it!?" Kirby asked, peeking in.
Inside the chest was something that was confused all of them. It was a big, white egg with green spots on it.
"...an egg?" Fettuccine asked in confusion.
"Yup. An egg." Kirby replied.
"Let's eat it." Misu quickly said.
"No." Pandoro immediately replied.
"Why not? It looks like a perfectly good egg!"
"Which is exactly why we won't be eating it. There could be a living creature in it for all we know."
"It could also already be dead because it was inside a chest for who-knows-how-long!"
"Kirby, I found it, so I decide what happens to it, correct?"
"Yup! And you get to name it, too!"
Pandoro nodded and placed it in her bag. "For one, we're not eating it. Two, I shall name it the Wild Egg."
"That's a good name." The puff smiled.
"Hey, you guys mentioned you found a treasure with Meta Knight. What was it?"
Fettuccine held up a small object. "It looks like a battery, but not any kind of battery we're familiar with. We named it the Otherworldly Battery."
"Huh. That is pretty otherworldly." Kirby replied.
"I still want to eat the egg." Misu mumbled.
"Why? We aren't even hungry yet." Tira asked annoyed.
"Do I need a reason to eat a good-looking egg!?"
"We aren't eating that egg. Unless you want to risk angering the expert swordsmaster."
"I know that! You just asked why I wanted to eat it!"
"And you gave a non-answer. You don't even like eggs!"
"It's a treasure egg! So, it must taste even better than a normal egg!"
Tira sighed in complete aggravation.
"Do you two wish to have separate bodies?" Kirby asked.
"Yes. Yes, we do." The one uttered bluntly.
"Unfortunately, there's no solution. If we try to separate, we'll both die. Not even magic can help. We asked the strongest mage in the Organization, the leader of the Magecraft Division, and not even her magic could safely split us apart."
Kirby looked at them sadly. "Well, I'm sorry to hear that."
"Don't be. We've pretty much accepted that we're stuck together for life. For better or for worse."
"Do you two hate each other?"
"Of course not." They both said at the same time.
Honestly, this just made Kirby look confused.
"We constantly get on each other's nerves."
"And we insult each other."
"But he's still my brother and I love him."
"...well, I guess that makes sense."
"You probably know someone that you constantly argue with but still like, don't you?" Tira asked.
"Hmmm..." Kirby took a moment to think. "I think a few of my friends are like that."
"Well, it's like that. Truth is, most of our arguments are purely exaggerated for the sake of comedy. It's something we've always done we were kids." Misu added.
"Ohhh... but why would you do it for comedy?"
"We've always been outcasts. Twin Limets are rare. Like happens once every hundred years rare."
"So, we used humor to both cope with it and to get attention. A perfect plan!"
The puff tilted his head. "So, does it work?"
"Sometimes it does sometimes it doesn't." They both said with a shrug.
"Oh, ok. Well, let's continue with our tour of this section of the cave, shall we?" The child said as he started to walk away.
As the group continued through the section, Kirby heard a question.
"So, Metty mentioned you've been here a lot right, Kirbo? I suppose you must really like this cave, huh?" Fettuccine said.
"Yup! It's a very pretty cave full of neat stuff!"
"Wasn't it dangerous exploring this cave by yourself?"
"Sometimes, but not really."
"That's right. You are the hero of Dreamland after all."
Kirby paused. "Where did you hear that term? Meta Knight normally doesn't refer to me as that, usually just Kirby or as his student."
"Well, news travels fast, you know."
"I guess."
"You don't seem particularly fond of that title. Care to tell me why?"
Kirby shifted uncomfortably. "I guess... it's because I don't save Dreamland because I want to be a hero. I do it because it's my home and my friends' home, too."
"So, you're afraid that people will assume you're some celebrity big shot that's only in it for the fame?"
"Yeah, I think that's the case."
"Well, luckily for you, I work for the division that specializes in spreading information. I'll make sure that the truth about how you're just a sweet kid will be known."
Kirby looked at her in shock. "Huh? You'll really do that for me?"
"Well, why wouldn't I?"
"Well... um... isn't that such a minor thing for a massive group like the Organization to worry about?"
"Perhaps. But there's nothing stopping me from doing so."
"But won't you get in trouble?"
"You worry too much. And no, spreading information is our job. That applies to both small and major information."
"But this is just about one person! Isn't there more important information to spread?"
"Do you think we only let out one piece of info at a time? We send out like twenty pages worth of knowledge every hour."
"Yeah, but still? Won't Reedy notice?"
"Kirbo, I know you don't want me to get in trouble, but there's seriously nothing worry about. Even Reedenstein has reported on small stuff. Like he once wrote about a planet having a sale on ice cream just because his kids asked him to. He really won't care."
"But he's the captain. Are you sure it's fine?"
Fettuccine smiled, clearly not bothered by these constant questions. "He only cares about the truth. Plus, you need to quit selling yourself short. Reports of you beating Void, Dark Matter and Nightmare are well known. You essentially are a celebrity, so it's important that any false information about you gets crushed."
Kirby silently blinked. "Well... I don't really think I'm that deserving of all that attention. I just do what I can to help the people of Dreamland..." He uttered shyly.
"Most good-natured heroes don't do it for the fame. it's just an unfortunate side effect of being a hero. Which is why it's important that I get the truth out."
"But are you sure you want to do it?"
"Ugh, yes! We're going around in circles!"
Kirby blinked. "But I don't want to be a bother."
"You're too young and adorable to be self-depreciating. Now relax and let me do my job, alright?"
The child gave an exhale. "Ok..."
Fettuccine then gave a smile. "Good. Now..."
She then pulled on his cheek for a moment before letting go.
"Ow! What was that for?!"
"To tell you to stop being self-deprecating. Trust me when I say it's going to hurt you a lot in the long run."
Kirby nodded. He had a vague feeling she was referring to someone they both knew very well when she said that.
"Great, now how about we continue our journey, huh?"
"Yes, I wish to fight these rocks as soon as possible." Pandoro added.
The puff nodded and continued leading them the way.
"So, how do each of you fight?" Kirby asked, wishing to make some small talk, getting everyone to look at him. "...I guess to be specific, what fighting styles do you use?"
"My main duty is interrogation, so I only know basic CQC." Fettuccine replied.
"So, you throw people? Meta Knight told me some types of CQC are kind of like my Suplex Ability."
"No, not exactly. I do a lot of grabbing but I don't really throw. I usually focus on locking up a target's joints so they can't move."
"Oooohhh... that sounds neat! Can you teach me how to do it so I can incorporate it into... hm... would it be better for Suplex or Wrestling?"
"Which of those two is the most flexible?"
"Oh, they both are!"
"Wait, if both abilities are flexible and deal with grabbing, then what is even the difference?"
Kirby gave a massive pout. "They're two different Abilities! Why does everyone say that?!"
She then pulled his cheeks again. "I was asking what makes them different. It's impolite to complain about a honest question."
"Yeah, well, everyone except like one of my friends keeps saying they're the same Ability and it really annoys me!"
"But I wasn't saying they were the same, I was asking what made them different. You shouldn't assume every question about this topic is an insult towards you."
"I know that, and I was explaining why I reacted like that!"
"If you know that, then why did you react that way in the first place?" She asked with a giggle.
"Because the way you said it made it seem like you were assuming the same thing!"
"How? All I asked was what made them different. I didn't once assume they were exactly the same."
"That's how it seeemmmedddd!" Kirby replied, clearly starting to get frustrated and annoyed.
"Well, I'm sorry that's how it came across, but no, that's not what I meant. I understand you hate people assuming things, which is why instead of complaining about it, you should calmly explain it."
"I always do! But they say the same thing!" His pout got even bigger. "Like I once used Wrestler for one of my Copy Ability Exams and even Meta Knight was like "that's just a flashier version of Suplex"!"
"Did you ask for elaboration on his part or did you just get upset and hit something really hard to shut him up?"
Kirby stood quietly, not wanting to answer.
"Did you ask for elaboration from anyone that made that same assumption?"
"Not really, no. It's just that Wrestler is the first ability I created on my own. And everyone saying that it's just the same as another ability, well it kinda hurts..."
Fettuccine nodded and picked him up in a hug. "There's nothing wrong with being upset, Kirby. It's completely understandable now knowing where you are coming from. Can you promise me something? Next time someone says it's similar, hear them out. In order to grow it's important to hear every side of an argument."
The puff gave a slight sigh. "Ok..."
"Good. Now will please answer my original question as to what makes them different? It's impolite to keep a lady waiting." She teased.
The child nodded before he began his explanation. "Well, first of all, Wrestler is more versatile than Suplex because it doesn't completely rely on you grabbing an enemy first. Suplex only has one move that doesn't need an enemy for it, I believe!"
"So, you have more freedom with Wrestler. In other words, more flexibility." She said, putting extra emphasis on flexibility.
"Oh, yeah I guess Wrestler is more flexible. Heh heh.." He said with a nervous chuckle. "There's also more than just throwing. I also punch and kick, with each attack meant to trip up my opponent so they are easier to grab!"
"Oh, would you like to tell me more about that?"
"Well, I do a lot of drop kicks to surprise people. Then I slap them with my hands to knock them off balance. And I use a powerful uppercut when I want to launch someone into the air! I can't do any of that with Suplex."
The lady nodded. "Anything else?"
"Can you continue walking while we're discussing? I would like to find that stone monster, that I would."
"Oh, right, sorry. Well, as far as other differences, I use different types of throws. But I guess there's a bit of overlap between Suplex and Wrestler."
"Ah, that's quite interesting."
"Yeah! I can even use electricity with Wrestler!"
"Wow, really? Can you use any other elements with it?"
"I haven't really tried. I guess I just a small talent for electricity. It just kind of happened too! I wasn't even trying to use electricity!"
"Oh, so you're just like Metty! He has a natural talent for electricity as well!"
"He does? I guess that makes sense." Kirby said, happy that he found something else he had in common with his sensei.
"Though now I know why people say it's just a flashy Suplex. The two abilities share a lot in common." Kirby was about to protest but Fettuccine placed a finger on his lips. "Let me finish."
He then gave an impatient pout as she cleared her throat once more.
"However, it's also clear to me that there's a lot that separates the two. Namely your usage of martial arts and electricity. There's no doubt that Wrestler is more than just another Suplex. So, instead of getting upset when people point out the similarities, how about you create even more brand-new moves that only a Wrestler can do? The more different you make it, the less people can say it's just another Ability."
The puff became quiet. "Why didn't I think of that...?" He uttered.
Fettuccine laughed. "This is why constructive criticism is important, Kirby. Now you know what you need to do, don't you?"
He quietly nodded. "Yeah. Um..." He became slightly nervous. "Can you discuss that with Meta Knight then, Ms. Fettuccine?"
She gently patted him on the head. "Of course! And please, no need to call me "Miss". Just "Fettuccine" is fine."
"Ok, Ms... I mean, Fettuccine!"
"Good! Now let's keep walking before Pandororo keeps whining about hitting rocks with a stick."
Kirby nodded. "I guess you two also just use CQC?" He asked the twins.
"Yup." Both brothers replied bluntly.
"Anything special about it?"
"...is there supposed to be anything special about CQC?"
"I guess not? Is it like Fettuccine's and you do a lot of grabbing?"
"I dunno. I don't really think when I use CQC." Tira replied.
Kirby looked at him, incredibly confused but decided for the sake of not getting a headache decided to drop the subject.
"What about you Pandoro? Is your style similar to Meta Knight's?"
"We share a few similarities. Both of our styles revolve around attacking with incredible speed. Though where his is more like lightning, I'm more like the wind."
"Oh? Can you show me?"
"It would be best to show you when we find that rock monster. That it would."
Kirby nodded, really excited to see her in action.
"Now let me ask you a question. What abilities do you feel the most comfortable with?" She asked.
"Pretty much all of them, if I'm being honest. I think it'd be quicker to tell you what Abilities I'm not comfortable with."
Pandoro smiled. "In other words, you're incredibly flexible in terms of fighting. This is an excellent quality to have."
Kirby gave a timid giggle in response.
"How are you with a sword? I'm sure with Meta as your teacher you must be skilled with one."
"Oh, he said I'm really good with it!"
For a moment, Pandoro's face shifted into a fierce grin because relaxing back to normal. "Before we leave this planet, we will have sparring match."
For some reason, the child didn't feel intimidated by that. "Have you and Meta Knight fought before?" He asked curiously.
The woman gave a smile. "We've sparred with each other several times, that we have."
"Have you ever beaten him?"
"A handful of times, but only by the skin of my teeth."
Kirby's eyes began to sparkle. "That's amazing! Now I want to fight you! Later, of course." He said with a giggle.
"I'll look forward to it then."
"Hey, fighting fanatics, we think we can see a chest over there!" Misu said, pointing towards the top of the area.
"Alright then, would you like to go open it?"
"Yeah, but how do we get up there?"
"By climbing, Misu."
"That's too much work, Tira."
"Grow up and start climbing already, I'll drag your half with me if I have to."
"If you two don't want the chest, then I'll get it." Fettuccine sighed.
"No, I'll get it. Misu, go to sleep for one minute." Tira commanded.
"YOU CAN'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!" The other shouted before being punched by his brother.
"It's just for a dang minute. Now sleep."
Misu's eye closed and Tira started to grin. "Finally. I have complete control of our body until he wakes up."
"Wait, so you two don't sleep at the same time?" Kirby asked confused.
"Oh no, we do sleep at the same time at times like night. Just we don't need to be asleep at the same time."
"But, don't you share a brain? Wouldn't one going to sleep put the other to sleep?"
With a slight sigh, Tiramisu stood up straight and a three-dimensional diamond-shaped object came out of his chest. Almost instantly, Kirby noticed that it was actually two different diamond shapes, and one side was a pale yellow and the other was a pale green.
"This is my core. If you notice, it's actually two conjoined cores. That's because one is my half, and the other is my brother's. This is because all twin Limets are conjoined twins. Now, are conjoined twins the exact same people?"
"Of course not!"
"Then why would you assume that we share a brain?"
Kirby looked at him, clearly embarrassed. "Well, I don't really know how conjoined twins work all that well."
"Well, if you want, once I grab that chest, I can explain it to you a bit more."
"Ok!" The child replied as Tira began climbing.
Shortly after this, he returned with the chest.
"Alright, Misu, wake up already." Tira said, prompting Misu's eye to open.
"You got the thing? Alright! Let's open it!"
The twins opened it up to reveal a strange machine that looked like a vacuum in the shape of a backpack.
"What's a vacuum cleaner doing in a chest like this?" Misu asked.
"The same as every other treasure, it was magically taken from another world or whatever."
"Yeah, but you'd expect something cooler than a vacuum!"
"Hey, treasure is treasure. Besides, it could actually be some super weapon in the shape of a vacuum. Who knows what weapons from other universes look like?"
Misu seemed to take a moment to think.
"How about we test it out then?"
Tira nodded and pointed the vacuum away from everyone and pressed a button, causing the vacuum to suck in air so fast it basically created a large hurricane.
"Wow! Who knew a vacuum could be this powerful!?"
Everyone nodded at that.
"It's almost like my inhale. Anyway, time for you two to name it!"
"Alright! I'll name it!"
"No, I'll name it! I was the one who got the chest in the first place!"
"Yeah, but I saw that it was a vacuum first!"
"A vacuum we only have because of me!"
"One of you decide who names it or I'll do it." Fettuccine suddenly said.
Misu immediately became quiet.
"Geez, bro, you talk a big game but cower at anything. Whatever, I guess that means I get to name it."
"So, what will you name it, then?" Kirby asked.
"The Poultrygust." Upon receiving many strange looks Tira decided to go into more detail. "Misu's eye became super wide like a turkey. And this thing makes a gust of wind."
"Seems fair enough..." Fettuccine sighed, though it was clear she was somewhat disappointed with the name.
"Dude, it's a super vacuum. There's not that much potential for names."
"Yeah, but you can come up with something better than that! How about Super Guster 2000?"
"I feel like it's more of a 3000. Anyway, it doesn't matter, let's just go find this rock Pandoro wants to stab."
"Ah! That's right! Come this way! There's a place they're almost guaranteed to show up at!" Kirby shouted as he ran off.
"Hey, don't just run off like that! You're our guide in this darn place!" Tira yelled as they all gave chase.
Eventually, Kirby reached a large empty area. This, of course, was the area where it was common for any of the Wham Bams to appear.
"Hey Wham Bams! Any of you around!? My friend wants to beat you up!" He shouted to grab their attention.
There was an eerie silence as his friends entered the room.
"Huh... strange. I could've sworn that would make one of them appear."
Just then a chill went up his back and he quickly jumped to his left, avoiding a giant diamond fist coming at him.
"Oh! It's Wham Bam Jewel!" Kirby said.
The large figure stared at the puff hatefully and readied another attack. He threw his right fist forward but before it could reach Kirby, Pandoro appeared in front of him and sliced the diamond fist in half.
"Wow! That was so fast!" The child exclaimed before noticing the razor-sharp and focused expression Pandoro's face.
"So, this is a Wham Bam. Quite interesting."
While she was busy analyzing her new opponent, the hand she just destroyed was quickly reforming and rocketed towards her back.
"Ah! Pandoro, look out!"
Wordlessly, Pandoro turned around and cut it in half again. While it seemed effortlessly, it was quite obvious by her face that doing something like that used a lot of her energy. Unsurprisingly, Kirby noticed this.
"Are you ok, Pandoro?"
"I'm fine, Kirby. Slashing diamond is a lot harder than it looks." She joked. "I'll just have to end this quickly."
She then quickly dodged some falling tiki heads.
"Are you sure you don't need my help?" The puff shouted.
"Thank you, but I can handle it on my own, that I can!" She yelled as she raised her sword up.
A tempest of wind picked up around her and she readied herself for one final strike.
"One strike, one hundred blows! Galaxy Dragon!"
She swung down her blade, sending out a gust of wind in the shape of a dragon that quickly tore Wham Bam Jewel to shreds. Kirby stared with sparkling eyes in amazement.
"Wow! That was so cool! Could you show me how to do that!?"
Pandoro smiled while panting out of exhaustion. "I can later, Kirby. After I'm all rested up."
It was at that moment that the swordswoman before him practically vanished and was replaced by a small silver blob roughly the size of Kirby's foot.
"AHHH! PANDORO! ARE YOU OK!?"
"Worry not, Kirby. I just simply exhausted most of my mana, that I did. I will be stuck like this for a while."
"Oh... I thought Joe was exaggerating a bit when he said Wham Bam Jewel was super strong..."
"Well, it was made of diamond. Diamond is incredibly difficult to crack. But despite popular belief, it isn't unbreakable. But still I used up much more energy than expected."
"But you're still really strong, aren't you? You said you won a few sparing sessions against my sensei! That's amazing!"
"Of course. My strength was never in question. I simply used more energy than I needed. In other words, I was way too excited about fighting, that I was."
Kirby gave a giggle. "You're so much like Meta Knight!"
"I thank you for the compliment. Oh, I think the monster dropped something."
"Ah! Is it treasure?" The puff asked, running over.
"As I currently have no arms and I've already opened one treasure, Fettuccine, will you do the honors?"
"Alrighty!" She exclaimed as she walked over to the chest. "Let's see what we got here!" She said, kicking the chest open.
Inside it was a peculiar looking badge with words in a language neither of them recognized.
"Do you have any idea what this says?" Kirby asked curiously.
"Not a clue. Considering that it's from another universe, I guess it makes sense that they would have a completely different language."
"Probably. Well, what are you gonna name it?"
Fettuccine had a thoughtful expression on her face. Unseen by everyone else, a piece of diamond from Wham Bam began to float and flew towards Fettuccine, as if trying to protect its treasure.
"Fettuccine, look out!" Pandoro yelled, still too tired to fight.
In a panic, Fettuccine raised the badge and when the diamond chunk made contact with it, it was sent flying in the opposite direction. It took a moment for them to process what happened.
"Did... did this badge thing just reflect it?" The woman uttered in shock.
"I think it did! That's so cool! So, what are you going to name it?"
"That's a good question..." Fettuccine mumbled as she began to think. "How about...the Mirror Amulet?"
"I think that's a most fitting name, that it is."
"Yup! I agree!" The puff added.
They both then looked at Tiramisu for their opinion.
"It's a good." Tira said bluntly.
As for Misu... "Please, it should be called the magnificent, awesome, reflecting badge, legendary edition! Or Marble for short!"
The entire group looked at him, as if saying that the name was stupid.
"...Yeah, I'll just stick to my name, thank you very much."
The other two nodded. Even Tira seemed to nod in agreement.
"Whatever." Misu grumbled. "Let's just take a break to the let the sword freak regain her energy."
The puff nodded and sat down. "So, what should we talk about?"
"You. I want to know more Metty's student."
Kirby blinked. "Oh, then what do you want to know about?"
"Everything! Your daily life, your friends, how you met Metty, tell me what makes Kirby, Kirby!"
The child only looked intimidated, as if he had no idea where to start.
"Just start with something simple. Like your home." Pandoro said.
"Oh, ok! Well, my home is a small domed house in Dreamland. It's pretty small, but it's a nice place to live. It was built for me by the citizens of Dreamland as thanks for getting all their food back."
"For getting their food back?" Tira asked, confused by that.
"Oh, didn't you hear about that? When I first came to Dreamland, King Dedede stole all the food and I fought him to get it back!"
"King Dedede? The same King Dedede that you are friends with?"
"Yup! He's gotten better over the years!"
Fettuccine giggled. "Kirbo, how many of your friends used to be bad people?"
Kirby squinted as he sat in deep thought. "Um... let's see here... there's Dedede, Marx, Magolor, Susie, every one of the Jambastion people, um... I guess you could count Meta Knight and Taranza, though they had hood intentions behind the bad things they did..."
"Nah I wouldn't dare consider Metty to be a bad guy. Very grumpy and intense, but so very kind too. That name Taranza sounds vaguely familiar though."
"I know! He's one of the nicest people I know, so it makes me sad when he says he isn't!"
Then he heard about Taranza.
"Oh, he was the servant of Queen Sectonia!"
"Ah right, that whole ordeal. I recall reading Metty's report about it. Yeah, poor guy." Fettuccine replied sadly.
"Yeah, I helped him write it because he couldn't join me."
All of the members looked at each other with somewhat serious expressions.
"Well, non-Organization affiliated individuals aren't supposed to be involved with stuff like that." Fettuccine said. "...But we can make an exception since you were directly involved!"
Kirby tilted his head in confusion. "But I thought Meta Knight wasn't part of the Organization anymore."
"He isn't. But he's still affiliated with us. We occasionally have him give us reports about what's been happening around Dreamland. But he doesn't have to do more than that."
The puff smiled. "And that's why I have to give him reports about what happens sometimes! Because he can't always help me when there's more danger like with the whole Dreamstalk thing!"
"Then in that case we have no choice but to overlook this. Anyway, tell us about some other friends."
"Like who? I have a ton of friends!"
"I believe you mentioned a Knuckle Joe earlier." Pandoro said.
"Oh yeah! He's my best friend and one of the first friends I made when I came to Dreamland!"
"What's he like? I mean he's probably nice but what else is there?"
"Um... not to be mean, but he can kind of be a bit dumb at times. Like he's smart, but he doesn't think things through. Like he tends to go to fighting tournaments uninvited and beat up everyone there to show his fighting style is the best."
"So, a hothead with a good heart. Yeah, we know someone like that. Though I think this Joe would be more pleasant to be around."
"You do?"
"Capellini." They all said at once.
"Ooooh. Well, I think I'll be meeting him next!"
"Just be careful around him. He's a good guy, he truly is. He's just very irritable."
"...more than Reedy?"
"Reedy's not really irritable, so yes."
Somehow this made Kirby nervous.
"Oh, don't worry too much about it, Kirbo. You'll be with Calzone, he won't let anything happen to you."
The puff quietly nodded in reply.
"Okay, next question, littlest buddy, which adventure that you've been on was your favorite?"
"Um... that's a hard question! I like all of my adventures!"
Fettuccine smiled. "Well, let's change the question a bit. What did you enjoy about your little Mirror World adventure?"
Kirby tilted his head. "Why ask about that specifically?"
Fettuccine's face didn't move for a moment, a sign that she was thinking for a response.
"The Mirror World sounds interesting from what Metty wrote. But since he didn't get the chance to explore it, I was hoping you would tell me more about it."
The puff tilted his head again, this time the opposite way. "Is it because you were worried about him?"
Fettuccine paused again. "Well, that goes without saying."
Somehow, Kirby felt there was a bit more to it, but he decided to ignore it. "Um...well the whole thing with the Mirror World was interesting and fun. It's like a giant maze!"
"Yup, I remember reading about that part, but what about specific areas? For that matter, what was it like being split into four?"
"Um... there were a lot of different areas. And it was a bit weird being split into four, but I got used to it!"
"I bet. If there were four of me, I wouldn't know how I'd react. Say, how was Metty after you reunited with him?"
"Um... in the mirror, he seemed to be a bit hurt and couldn't fight, so I took over for him and beat Dark Meta Knight!"
"This Dark Meta Knight. Did he fight in a cowardly manner?" Pandoro asked, her interest peaked at the mention of Meta Knight's copy.
"Oh yeah, definitely! Like the reason why I was split into four in the first place was because he randomly ambushed me!"
Pandoro nodded. "As I thought, there was no way Meta would lose in an honorable one on one."
"Was Dark Meta Knight destroyed?" Fettuccine asked.
"Yup! Oh, though he did come back, but there's no way Meta Knight will lose to him again!" Kirby replied with a confident smile.
"Do you know what Dark Meta Knight did to get the upper hand on Metty?"
"Um... I don't really know. I think he said something about Dark mentioning that he beat me and that made him lower his guard."
Fettuccine smiled and let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. "So, he got hurt because he was worried about his student. Oh, silly Metty, I'm glad you're still the same man even after all this time." She thought to herself.
"So, is there anything else you'd like to know?" The child asked.
"Yes. I want you to be completely honest with me too. What do you think of Metty? And not just something like he's the best or he's kind or he's so cool. I want you to answer with your heart."
"But he is the best and he is so cool!" Kirby pouted.
"I know he is. Which is why I want your true feelings on him."
"Then share yours as well!"
"I asked you first, Kirby. There's no need to be nervous about being honest. If you want the two of us can go somewhere more private."
Kirby didn't say it, but it was more because there was always a strange cornucopia of feelings that emanated from Fettuccine whenever she spoke about his mentor. While the strongest was indeed happiness, there were also feelings of love and, to his own surprise, sadness. It somewhat confused him.
"I can just tell you, if you want." He replied.
"That is what I asked isn't it?"
"Yes, I know!" He then cleared his throat. "So... um... I really like him! He's really nice to me and he cares about me, and I feel safe around him!"
"Would you consider him family?"
"Of course! He's the closest I have to family!"
Fettuccine chuckled. "The way I see it, you two are as close as father and son."
The child tilted his head, as if not fully understanding. "Really? In what way?"
"Well, as you said, he cares about you and is obviously willing to put himself in danger for you. You also clearly care about him and look up to him as a mentor. Just like how he'll put himself at risk for your sake, you've done the same for him. Just like a real family."
"Is that so?" Kirby asked.
"That's right. You've seen how Metty and Kurabe act around each other, right? They aren't related, but I swear the bond they have is stronger than some biological families."
"...so, they're kind of awkward?"
Fettuccine laughed at the response. "You're an interesting kid, Kirby."
"So, now will you be honest about your feelings?" Kirby asked.
"What do you mean? I'm always honest about my feelings!" Fettuccine quickly replied.
"Well, you're honest about liking Meta Knight, but why are you also sad?"
The woman instantly became quiet. "It's... a very adult matter."
The puff tilted his head and pouted. "If you made me answer those questions then you should answer mine!"
It was at that point the woman became unusually silent. Kirby seemed to notice this and got rid of his pout.
"If it makes you that uncomfortable than you don't have to..."
Almost instantly, the woman smiled, as if doing a complete 180 from before. "Well, alright then!"
This, of course, made Kirby give a pout. Did she really fake that just to get out of telling him!?
"If you keep pouting like that your face will freeze and be stuck like that." She teased.
His pout only seemed to become bigger, even more annoyed that she was hiding something from him.
"...if you would like, you two could go talk about it privately, that you could." Pandoro suddenly spoke up.
"Yeah, we can look for more treasure while you talk." Tira added.
Fettuccine gave a slightly reluctant sigh. "Alright, let's do that then."
With a nod in reply, Tiramisu picked up Pandoro and left them.
"Well, are you going to be honest now?" The child asked.
"I have no choice now, don't I?" The woman said with a slight chuckle before becoming abnormally serious. "To put it bluntly, I... I... love him."
The puff blinked. "Like, more than a friend?"
"Yes. More than a friend."
"Then why are you sad? Isn't love a good thing?"
"It is but... Metty... doesn't feel the same way..." She uttered, her voice beginning to crack.
Kirby looked at her sadly. "It's because of his brain being mean to him and tricking him into thinking he shouldn't be happy, isn't it?"
"It is...and it hurts a lot..." She uttered, tears beginning to well up in her eyes. "It's enough that he doesn't feel the same way for me, but... it honestly hurts even more when he thinks he doesn't deserve happiness...!"
Kirby walked over and gave the upset woman a hug. "Even if he doesn't love you, he still likes you. You can still make him happy, in fact, I know you can!"
"I know that. But it still hurts..." She said, hugging him back tightly.
"Well, I don't really understand love in the way you mean, but I think Meta Knight does love you. Just as a friend, but a friend that he wouldn't want to see being sad like this."
"I know he does! But it hurts to see him think that he can't be happy!" The puff could feel the teardrops on his head now, indicating that she was in tears now.
"Then you'll just have to help me help him get over his stupid brain. Meta Knight taught me an important lesson about not giving up even when things seem hopeless, so please don't give up hope."
She gave a small smile as she began to wipe her eyes. "You're right. I shouldn't give up hope. I'm really sorry about this..."
"Don't be, I'm sorry for making you talk about it."
She shook her head. "No, I think you deserve to know about it since you're practically his son. I'm just sorry for not telling you sooner."
"His son? Well, I'm happy that someone thinks we're that close! Well, if I'm his son, then it's my job to make him listen to you!"
"Why wouldn't you be his son? He practically treats you like one!" She smiled. "And... I would appreciate if you did that..."
Kirby nodded happily, but then Fettuccine's hug tightened.
"Kirby... this is a bit selfish on my end but..." She became quiet.
"What is it?"
She shook her head. "No, it's much too selfish..."
Kirby looked confused but was happy that she seemed to be feeling better. "Well, that's fine! You can always tell me later."
She quietly nodded as she let go. "Alright. Now let's go meet up with those other two."
When they caught up with the others, they noticed that Pandoro was back to her full strength.
"So, have you two talked it out?" The swordswoman asked.
"Yup! We had a good talk, that we did." Kirby said, imitating Pandoro's way of speaking.
This caused her to respond with a chuckle. "I am glad that you both had a good talk. I hope you are feeling better, that I do."
Fettuccine smiled in reply. "Oh, not to worry! I feel perfect! So, any luck finding treasure, Pandororo?"
"We did find a chest."
"And we agreed that Kirby should open it." Tira said, eliciting a scoff from his brother.
"No, you two agreed on it. I wanted to do it..."
Almost instantly, he was punched by his brother.
"Kirby opens it!"
"Fine! Just open it already!" Misu complained.
The puff nodded as he walked over to the chest and opened it. The entire group seemed to peek over his shoulders to see what it is. The treasure was a large, golden coin with two letters on it.
"Hey, think I remember finding a barrel with these same letters before!"
"I see. Perhaps they could be related." The swordswoman nodded.
"What did you name the barrel, Kirbo?"
"I named it Kong's Barrel! So, I'll name this Kong's Coin!"
"Why Kong?" Tira asked. "Not that it's a bad name."
"I dunno!"
"Fair enough, I guess."
Suddenly, a high energy song could be heard coming from Fettuccine's bag.
"Ah, that's my phone. Probably the captain calling to check in."
She took out the phone and picked up.
"Helloooo?" She said in a cheery voice.
There was a bit of talking on the other end.
"Ah, we're doing great!"
There were a few more words said.
"Alright, understood!" She then hung up.
"What did he say?" Kirby asked.
"He wants us to meet back up again. We're going to swap."
"Already? Well alright. Let's get going, everyone!"
Just as Kirby said that, Fettuccine stopped him.
"Hey, Kirbo, let's talk more later, ok?"
Kirby nodded happily. "Of course! Talking with you is fun!"
The woman gave her signature smile as she picked him up and began to carry him back. Unsurprisingly, Kirby didn't mind this one bit.
"Since when were they that close?" Misu asked.
"It might have to do with that talk they had." Pandoro replied.
"Well, at least he's not pretending to hate it like Meta does."
"Tell me about it..." Tira sighed as he began to follow them back.
After thirty minutes of travel, Kirby's group arrived at the meeting place first.
"We won!" Both Kirby and Fettuccine exclaimed.
"Since when were we having a contest?" Misu asked in annoyance.
"Since we felt like it!"
"I wasn't told we were having a contest!"
"Why are you complaining? You won, too since we beat the other teams here."
"Because I could!"
"Complaining about nothing leads to nothing but more complaining." Pandoro stated.
"Whatever, when are the others getting back?"
"When they get here. Why ask us questions we can't possibly have the answers to?"
"Because I could!"
Before the pointless argument could continue, Kirby saw Meta Knight and his group walking towards them.
"Ah! Meta-sensei! There you are!"
"Kirby, Fettuccine, Pandoro, Tiramisu. It's good to see you are all well."
He then looked at the swordswoman for a solid minute.
"Hm... Pandoro, you were in a fight, weren't you?"
"What made you think that?" She asked, tilting her head.
"I know the sound of your techniques even from miles away. You faced Wham Bam Jewel, I take it?"
"Are you aware of that monster, too, Meta?"
"I've fought it before, that I have."
"And what made you think that I fought it as well?"
"You would only use that technique against a foe as defensive as Wham Bam Jewel. That, and I can hear the cry of victory from your blade."
She gave a bright smile. "Your observation skills are as sharp as ever, that they are."
Meta Knight nodded and then looked at Fettuccine, staring into her eyes for a few seconds.
"...I assume you would like to talk about something later, Fettuccine?"
She seemed to jump a bit. "If you wouldn't mind..."
"Of course not. Whatever you need to say is obviously important. It would be rude of me to ignore it."
She gave a nod in response. Kirby also gave a smile. Whatever they were going to talk about, hopefully it would put Fettuccine's mind to rest.
So, how about that chapter, huh? What could Fetty want to talk to Meta about? Well, you'll have to keep reading and you may find out.
I hope it was quite enjoyable for you to read as much as it was to write. (I actually did have a bit of difficulty writing it, but whatever.)
Actually, I intended to post this chapter a lot later because of how nervous I was due to some of the material, but I was implored to do so by my co-writer.
