Chapter 14:

Eons ago...

Adam and Lilith laid on their backs in the garden of Eden. It's been a few months since they were created by the gods. Adam was aloof with the gods, while his first wife, Lilith, was outright rebellious against them. The gods paid her no mind, never once thinking a human would truly be a threat to them.

"So, what's with you and that Archangel you always meet up with?" Adam asked Lilith without looking at her. The woman was flustered by Adam's sudden question before trying to explain. Adam was having none of it. "You really like him, don't ya?"

"Dude, I'm your wife and you're teasing me about a crush?" Lilith sat up in disbelief at Adam's words. Adam chuckled a little.

"Thinking about it now, we were made, but I don't think we're made for each other. Knowing the gods, they just kinda created me as well after making you." Adam explained his point casually. He finally looked at Lilith and caressed her cheek. "Be honest with me, am I really your type?"

"I… well, I…" Lilith sighed, defeated by a simple question. "I'm… I'm sorry, no. Please, don't misunderstand. I care about you, but not really in a way that, well, I don't know."

"Yeah, I get ya. I want you to be happy too, so why don't we breakup before this could get bad just cause we try to uphold a feeling that really isn't there." Adam said while holding his fist out to Lilith. She was confused at first, but smiled and they bumped fists. History has been made. Humanity's first divorce and breakup was actually done on amicable terms. Adam and Lilith stayed close to one another as best friends. Adam also supported Lilith's crush with Lucifer.

Some time later...

"I don't think you two understand." Lucifer whispered to them with a worried expression. The secret relationship between him and Lilith was found out by the gods, and now they're ready to hand out punishment. "They will kill you unless I direct their wrath towards me."

"Lucy, baby, you don't have to carry this burden alone." Lilith tried to reason with him. She can't bear to see him get hurt.

"I agree with the human, brother." Raziel supported Lilith's words, with Adam nodding in agreement. Raziel was the Archangel of Mysteries, who supported Lucifer's relationship with Lilith. "I'll support you in this rebellion."

"This is not a winning battle, dear brother." Lucifer sadly shook his head. He knew the consequences of rebellion, but he would damn well do it anyway to save his loved ones. "I'll die, but they'll forget about you by then."

Lucifer disappeared, never to be seen by Adam or Lilith until the end of his rebellion in the Archangel's inevitable loss, not to Zeus, but to his own brother, Michael. He was ready to accept his death, knowing Lilith and Adam would be safe.

"I'll be seeing you, Michael." Lucifer said, while closing his eyes. Michael was ready to strike the final blow in front of Zeus, but they were stopped by a voice familiar to Lucifer.

"WAIT!" Lilith yelled at them. Lucifer's eyes shot open and glanced at Lilith running at them alongside Adam. "It was my fault!"

"Oho, what an interesting turn of events." Zeus smiled amusingly. He gestured at Michael to sheathe his weapon. He just remembered something important. "Are you not that human that Lucifer fell in love with?"

Zeus then looked at Adam. "And you would allow your wife to act like this, human?"

Before Adam could speak up, Lilith stopped him. "I cheated on him. I seduced Lucifer."

"Lilith, what are y-" Adam and Lucifer simultaneously said in disbelief, but was cut off by Zeus.

"Oh, and tell me the details, human."

"You know how much I hated you." Lilith explained. "I wanted his power for my own. I manipulated him into rebelling against the gods."

"Lilith, don't lie for my sake!" Lucifer's words could not get out. He glanced at his brother, Michael. Michael had the power to take away something temporarily, and now he took away Lucifer's ability to speak at the moment.

"So, if there's anyone to kill, it's me." Lilith finished her explanation and spread her arms. She was willing to accept death to save her love. Adam was still speechless at Lilith's sacrifice, unable to do a thing. Zeus walked up to her slowly, inspecting the girl.

"What a fine specimen." The god of the cosmos said before punching Lilith just below her navel. She was down on her knees and now the part where Zeus punched her revealed a seal. Adam was immediately beside her while Lucifer helplessly struggled to wrestle out of Michael's hold. "Killing you would be a waste."

"Fuck you."

"Such spirit! It does not take the god of knowledge to see through your lie, Lilith. That curse mark will never allow you to have children." Zeus explained to the first woman. "As for you, Lucifer."

Zeus walked to the still downed archangel. "As punishment, your name is now Satan. In the language of the gods, it means 'Little Bitch'. I hope you understand that this isn't over."

Zeus grabbed Lucifer and gestured to Michael to release him. He then grabbed onto Lilith as Adam watched helplessly. "Why don't the both of you spend the rest of your miserable lives banished to Earth."

A hole suddenly opened up, revealing the realm of Midgard. Zeus tossed them down while Adam tried to reach out to them.

After the fall from Heaven...

The landing was rough, and the years that followed were harder for Lucifer and Lilith. Lucifer kept his powers as an archangel, but he could no longer feel his power over light. Both of them were devastated that Adam was left alone in the garden of Eden, but there was nothing they could do about it now. More years passed by and it became known that Lilith was aging. A thousand years later, she was already on her deathbed. They both didn't know how much longer she had.

It was by that time that they heard a knock on the door. Lucifer and Lilith were cautious, but they answered anyway. When the fallen angel opened the door, he saw a familiar face that he hadn't seen in a long time.

"Adam!" Lucifer exclaimed, surprised to see his old friend down on Earth. Along with him, Lucifer could only assume to be his friend's wife. "And…"

"Eve." Eve answered shyly while hiding behind Adam.

"What did you say, Lucifer? Are my ears getting weak as well?" Lilith asked her lover. Adam looked over Lucifer's shoulder and his aloof expression was shattered upon seeing his best friend in an old and weakened state.

"Lilith!" Adam shoved Lucifer aside and scurried over to his best friend. "How long has it been? It's been only 10 years since you were banished."

"Adam!" Lilith was overjoyed to see her best friend again and was excited to meet his wife. "10 years, huh? It's been a thousand years here."

"She doesn't have much time left, doesn't she?" Eve asked Lucifer. The fallen angel sadly shook his head. Eve and Lucifer both walked over and let Adam have a conversation with Lilith. They told of the time the gods painfully created Eve by ripping out a portion of Adam's chest, then letting it heal slowly. They spoke of how Adam finally snapped and rebelled when Serpent tried to have his way with Eve.

"I'm sorry it took so long." Adam held his best friend's hand while Lucifer watched sadly. The next day, the love of Lucifer's life died peacefully in her sleep. They buried her at the drop point, where they landed all those years ago. Lucifer didn't stay for much longer, eventually leaving and exploring the world.

He watched humanity slowly multiply from Adam and Eve. Years have gone by until he reached the modern age. Adam, Eve, and Lilith were gone. He was alone. The occasional friends were temporary, for they live mortal lives. Much like Eve came from Adam, Adam was created from a portion of Lilith, technically making humanity her children as well. In the end, Lucifer had sworn to protect humanity, even if the world deemed him an evil being.

His desire for revenge against the gods, however, never left him. Even in his state, he continued to train himself to become stronger. Lucifer could have easily killed Michael back then, but he does not have it in him to kill his own brother. That changed now that knows that Michael was a willing pawn. He was presented with an opportunity to do so when Zeus finally came down from the heavens and reluctantly asked for his help.

Lucifer was to help Zeus avoid a 25 dollar debt to The Void. He could not expect less from the god of the cosmos. He accepted, if only to visit his siblings again. Everyone but Michael approached him with open arms, embracing their lost brother.

He was relegated to his own waiting room. Lucifer poured himself a bottle of brandy, one of humanity's creations that the gods took for themselves, waiting for his turn and betray Zeus in the fight. The fallen angel then felt The Void's presence. Words were not needed, as Lucifer already understood. He will work with them.

"Just lay down your number and I'll tell you who fights next, mate." Lucifer said. A piece of paper suddenly appeared by his side. He continued to tell The Void on who will fight next until Zeus finally told him it was his turn.

Now

"Aren't you a disgrace to humanity?" Lucifer slashed All For One again with his dagger. The fallen angel's speed was faster than the villain's, giving him time to dodge All For One's attacks. "My wife, her ex, and her ex's wife would be very disappointed in you."

"Their thoughts don't matter to a god in the making." All For One's arm grew big, similar to his final clash with All Might. The villain flew at Lucifer at extreme speed, only for the fallen angel to dodge it and stab the entire arm as it passed by him. A pained growl from All For One signaled to Lucifer that this fight was going in his favour.

"Michael, phase 2." All For One whispered to the archangel inhabiting his very genes. All For One's body grew uncontrollably as the audience and Lucifer watched in surprise. It finally stabilized itself after a few seconds. Lucifer could sense something different from All For One. Suddenly, the villain was behind him again. Lucifer turned around to slash him with the dagger, only for All For One to appear a second time behind him.

"What?" Lucifer exclaimed in shock after All For One punched him hard enough to send him flying. Bits of his feathers left a trail on the ground as he flew over from the punch. The fallen angel clutched his abdomen, feeling a burning pain.

"Delayed Hit plus Pain Marker plus 3 Enhanced Strengths. Such a beautiful combination of quirks amplified by a trigger-like effect." All For One said while admiring the fist he used to punch Lucifer with.

"Come on, babe! Pick up the slack! That guy's nothing!" Lilith cheered from the crowd. Beside her were Adam, Eve, and her two nephews. It's been a long time since she saw her husband since his death. The gods were quick to forget about her, so her passage back to Valhalla went mostly unnoticed.

"Come on, friend! Win for Lilith!" Adam and Eve yelled encouragement to his friend while Cain and Abel cheered for their uncle.

Their cheers didn't go unheard. Lucifer heard them loud and clear. He stood up, ready to clash with All For One. "All right, I'll hand it to ya. You're pretty powerful."

Lucifer's wings began flapping, and the fallen angel lifted off the ground. He threw his dagger with excellent precision at All For One. The villain immediately dodged it and was behind Lucifer again. The fallen angel immediately teleported to his dagger before All For One could get his hands on him.

"Beelzebub." Lucifer chanted as the dagger summoned flies to surround and blind All For One's field of vision. He flew towards the villain and slashed at his chest as All For One to reach out for his face. The dagger's slash negated All For One's original quirk, so it did nothing other than give Lucifer another opening to stab All For One in the heart.

"Abaddon." The dagger glowed and exploded into pieces, which directed itself at All For One and stabbed the villain in multiple places. The dagger reformed itself from the hilt. Lucifer grabbed All For One's face and began dragging the villain down to the ground, slamming his face to the floor.

"Are you finished?" All For One asked, much to Lucifer's shock. When the fallen angel took a closer look, All For One's skin was hardened the whole time.

"That's my quirk!" Kirishima exclaimed from the audience. Did the All For One get him from that universe?

"Yeah, bro, he kinda forced my quirk to activate and then used my paralyzed, hardened body to massacre a bunch of people as a makeshift weapon." Another Kirishima said as the ones who could hear him listened in horror. "That dude's a massive dick."

"Minimize plus Air Cannon plus Air Pressure." All For One fired an air cannon, piercing Lucifer's side, causing the fallen angel to bleed. Lucifer let out a pained howl as he felt the burning sensation piercing him. The force of the attack also pushed him off All For One. "Good show, dear fallen angel. Unfortunately for you, I am simply superior."

Lucifer didn't relent. He tried to stab All For One in the head, but the villain stopped him dead. All For One grabbed Lucifer's arm and was about to touch the fallen angel's face again.

"Belphegor!" The dagger let out a gas that suddenly slowed All For One's reaction time. Lucifer used this as a chance to punch All For One with his other arm, forcing the villain to let go. The gas didn't only slow All For One's reaction, but also slowed the villain's perception of pain, causing something as simple as a punch to feel as agonizing as a meteor to the face. All For One vomited blood, which Lucifer avoided.

"Careful, now. This suit is expensive! Leviathan!" The dagger absorbed energy from the stunned All For One and let out an air cannon of its own, sending the villain into the air. Lucifer followed through and finally stabbed All For One in the face for the killing blow.

"Is it over already?!" Hermes yelled into his microphone as the crowd watched.

"Oh no, you don't. I will not be killed by a lowly scum. Michael, phase 3." All For One's body glowed and convulsed violently, shaking Lucifer off. A sudden burst of power sent the fallen angel hurtling into the ground. When the fallen angel opened his eyes, All For One looked very different.

The villain now wore a combination of Michael's armour and All For One's suit. He also had six wings, like Michael did.

"The fusion is complete." The voice that came out of All For One was a combination of the villain's and Michael's, much to Lucifer's horror.

"You would fuse with such a horrible man, brother?"

"If only to finish you once and for all, Lucifer." Both of All For Michael's arms grew large again, similar to the attack earlier. They were faster now, even more than Lucifer could react to, hitting him in the face with both enlarged fists and creating a crater on the ground.

"Lucifer!" Lilith watched in horror as her husband was repeatedly pummeled into the ground. Adam punched the barrier, frustrated that he couldn't do anything again to help his friend.

When All For Michael was done pummeling Lucifer, he grabbed the fallen angel's wings and ripped it off Lucifer's back. The starting point of the wings was always the sensitive spot for angels. Having them ripped off caused Lucifer more pain than he ever endured before. The howl of pain will forever be remembered by the audience.
