Emily didn't realise she fell asleep until she heard thunder crash outside. She woke up to water about chest high when she was sitting on the floor. It was about neck high on Caroline.

Emily instantly remembered Andy was laying down. Emily's heart skipped a beat, then saw her leaning against the bathtub.
"Wake up," Emily told Caroline. The girl stretched. And Emily got up, water ran off her as she did so.
"Guys, we fell asleep," Emily said.
They all yawned, and Andy groaned. "Andy," Emily said, the brunette grunted in response. "We need to go, love"
"Okay,"
"I'll carry you, your legs have serious burns all over them,"
"Are you sure?"
"I don't want you walking," Andy nodded, Emily always looked after Andy, and she would always baby her if she got hurt in any way. "Are you ready?" She asked,
"Yeah,"
"1-2-3" She lifted Andy off the ground, and Andy put her arms around Emily's neck. Water ran down their bodies, and the tips of Emily's hair were wet.
They all walked out of the abandoned house, and they stopped at Honda, Emily put Andy down, and found an SUV, it was a push to start and it was offering to start, she would look for the keys later, she had bigger problems at the moment.
She drove out of the lot, and helped Andy into the back seat, Miranda climbed in the front, and Emily got more supplies. She stole a ton of lighters, and matches, she got a Ruger Single Seven, and a 50-caliber.
Miranda dropped her jaw when she saw the ammo for the rifle . It was as big as Emily's hand.
"Are you sure you'll be able to fire that thing, without it flying out of your arms?" Nigel asked.
"I used to be in military training, I've fired these before." She looked out the window, and in the water, sharks, and even fish were swimming like it was their ocean. "Nigel get the fishing rod out from the trunk."
"What?!" they all asked, and Patricia barked.
"I'm sorry, do you not know how to fish?"
"Why the fuck do you want me to fish for sharks?"
"There's those small ones in there as well."
Emily pulled over, and he handed her the rod, and she put the bait on it, with a squid. She rolled the window down, and casted out. It didn't take long for a fish to bite the hook.
She quickly grabbed the fish that was flailing, it was slippery, and it flew out of her hands, and onto Miranda's lap. Her boss screamed bloody murder, and Patricia started barking, and trying to bite Emily's arms, as she tried to get the fish.
Emily grabbed the fish, and held it to her chest, "Come on," She said, "Just die, you can do it,"
Finally the fish died, and Miranda could've killed her, but she figured that Emily was saving their asses. She didn't like that she was dragging Andrea along, she more or less hated the brunette after the woman just left her in Paris.
Emily wrapped it in saran wrap, and put it in the cooler. She was going to cook it later, she looked back at the road, and sighed, she was tired. Emily just wanted to be done with all of this.
She decided that she was done, and they were just going to stay there, it was useless to just drive anywhere, and they needed to be careful on how much gas they used.
Emily sat in the back with Andrea, and Miranda was back with her daughters. Nigel and Serena were in the front of the car. Everybody else was asleep.
Andy looked at her girlfriend, she reached in her pocket, and Emily looked at her. "I was going to give this to you earlier, but now seems like it might be the only time I can. She gave Emily a small box, it had really nice, and probably expensive earrings, and a necklace.
Emily looked at her, and kissed her, "why are you spending your money on me?"
"Because I love you," Emily pulled her in for a deep and passionate kiss.
"I love you so much, Andrea."
"I love you too,"
Miranda opened her eyes, she wished she had a relationship like theirs, she never had one so full of love, they were actually pretty cute together.
And she could tell Emily loved Andrea with all her heart, and would give her the world, if she had the power to do so. She was honestly a little jealous, the closest relationship Miranda's ever had was with her children.
That morning
Andy was on Emily's chest, and Emily had her arms around her tightly. She was very protective of Andrea. Miranda opened her eyes, Cassidy and Caorline were snuggled against their mother. And Serena and Nigel broke their necks, trying to sleep against the windows.
Nigel looked at Serena, she was massaging her neck, and groaning, he realised how beautiful his friend was. He smiled at her, and she realised him checking her out, a blush spread across her face.
She looked out the window, to try not to humiliate herself.
Emily looked out of the window, there were dead fish and sharks scattered across the streets, they were completely dry. They all got in their original spots, and Andy held Emily's free hand, as she drove to see if a gas pump was still available.
They were getting close to an empty tank, the car didn't have a lot of gas anyway.
…
This was the fifth pump Emily tried, and it didn't work, which didn't surprise her. She went around New York for one hour, and finally found one that worked. She sighed in relief, she was hoping everything was going to be okay.
She was scared that something was going to go wrong, but she needed to at least act strong.
