Chapter 4

1 month later

They were all asleep, Andy woke up, and saw that Emily had accidentally fallen asleep, while watching out for any storms, her small little dim battery powered lamp was still on. Andy looked out of the window, and sighed.

Sharks? Why sharks? They were probably the most deadly part of the storm, Miranda saw that Andy was awake, Emily collapsed all of the seats, so they could lay somewhat comfortably. But they were honestly a bit squished.

"How long have you been up?" Miranda asked her.

"Not long, you?"

"Since an hour ago,"

"Sorry you have to deal with me, for a month to add as well."

"You're important to Emily, and that's why you're here," She looked at her again "How long have you been together?"

"A year and a half,"

Miranda's brows furrowed, and she sat up, she looked out of the window. Andy did as well, there was another tornado, at this point they weren't freaking out about them. Andy got everyone up, and they put the seats back up.

Emily got in the driver seat, and started driving. She was driving as fast as she could, she was surprised the car could go up to 118mph. She looked back at the storm, she needed to find a way to stop the storms.

Patricia broke out of Miranda's grip, from the backseat, and Andy was struggling to keep her away from Emily. The dog looked like she would kill Emily, even though the redhead could easily kill the dog in seconds.

Emily was starting to get annoyed with the thing, but she didn't have the guts to get mad at her, because Miranda would be furious. When Emily got mad you didn't want to even witness her rage, let alone be the one she is mad at. She made a grown man cry, when he touched Andy inappropriately.

Emily wasn't even batting an eye to Patricia, who was snarling, and barking. There was a sudden thud, and the roof was indented inward. Emily looked out the mirror, and saw a shark tail hanging off the car.

"Shit, Shit, Shit!" She continued to drive, but the shark was slowing them down, and the dog started barking at the shark on the roof. The streets were starting to flood, and Emily was cursing the world that was against them.

She swerved when a whale shark dropped right in front of them. She saw Andy turn green, when chunks of shark splattered across the windshield. Emily tried her window wipers, but they couldn't move all of it off the window.

She got it clean just enough to see through it, she saw some shelter, at this point she wasn't even concerned about the tornadoes themselves, but the sharks falling from the sky, like rain.

She looked at the water that was rising, she took a sharp turn, and drove as fast as she could into glass chevron doors, the car shattered the doors, she made sure it was abandoned. She hadn't seen a single person in New York.

After two weeks of this apocalypse she never saw another person, except for them. After this normal life will feel like a breath of fresh air, even though it would be polluted, and disgusting air. She was thinking about moving back to London, after this, but she had to think of Andy.

She looked around, and thought about taking a helicopter she found, she discovered some bombs that someone had illegally, and she was thinking about blowing up the tornadoes, but she would need someone to set them off, and drop them for her.

She parked the car, and sighed, she looked at Andy, and decided to save her. She got out of the car, and picked up the chunks. One of them had to be at least one hundred pounds. She wiped her hands off with baby wipes, and sanitized her hands.

She got back in, and ran the window wipers a few times, to get the blood off the window. She leaned back in the seat and sniffed, she was starting to get sick, which she didn't want to deal with as well.

Andy reached to hold Emily's hand. Emily was falling asleep, they hadn't been getting sleep for over a month, and it was taking its toll on them. Andy frowned, the whole car eventually fell asleep.

Emily woke up, and got a beer out of the trunk. This whole experience was distracting her from drinking, but her withdrawal was strong at the moment. Andy looked at her, everybody was already awake.

When Emily was satisfied after three beers, and she was slightly buzzed, Andy put her hand on Emily's leg.

"I love you," Andy said,

"I love you too,"

Emily threw out the beer bottles, and leaned her head against the window.

"Do you want me to take over?" Andy asked

"If you want,"

"Okay,"

Andy looked behind her, no one was even paying attention to them. Miranda was with her kids, who were snuggled up against her. And Serena and Nigel were quietly giggling about something.

Andy wished Nigel would ask her out already. They had been acting like nervous 12 year olds around each other for two years.

That night

It was Serena and Nigel's turn to sleep in the front, they would switch off every week. Andy and Emily moved to the back, and Andy held Emily, the redhead slept on her chest.

That morning

Emily was asleep, but everyone else was wide awake. It was about 9:00, and Andy knew Emily wished that these tornadoes would stop, and they could go home.

"Is this going to last forever?" Cassidy asked,

"No, honey, this will all calm down eventually." Miranda told her.

Andy knew that Emily had a plan, but she was nervous to find out what it was. She kept her mouth shut until she knew what it was.

Emily pulled the blanket up to her chin, in her sleep, she had a fever as well. Andy was hoping she would get better before anything bad happened. They would all have been dead if it weren't for Emily.
