I stared down at the man who was turning into a curse as he bled on the steps to the temple. Both of his arms were wrapped around his midsection which was where the blood was pouring from. I summoned my kitsune and they took on a human form before supporting the man between them as I inspected his wounds. I placed my hand slightly away from his and checked the cursed energy inside him. It seemed as though he was in some sort of battle and used a majority of his cursed energy.

"Why are men so stupid?" I sighed before leading the way up to the temple. "Always fighting just to see who's on top of the mountain of bodies they end up pilling up." Why am I bothering with this one man anyway. He seemed like all the rest at first glance. Maybe it because he's so close to becoming a curse himself?

"You're cursed," Fushiguro told him as he stared at us. "So I will exorcise you!"

"Fushiguro, wait!" I told him as Yuji's body held up his hands in surrender.

"Hold up, it's not a problem." I watched as the markings vanished as though they were being wiped away. "More importantly, the three of us are pretty beat up. We need to get to a hospital."

"Yuji? That's really you, right?" I asked him and he just looked at me confused.

"Yea, who else would it be?" he asked me. "What are you doing here anyway?"

"I told you I was going to a specialty high school," I reminded him.

"What's the situation?" We all turned to see a silver-haired man with a black silky blindfold that also held his hair up in spikes.

"What-?!"

"Gojo!" I shouted in surprise.

"What're doing here?!" Fushiguro asked him.

"Yo!" He waved at us while looking us over. "I wasn't gonna come at first, but the higher ups got involved after hearing that a special-grade cursed object went missing. I agreed to come as long as I have time to see the sights. Man, you two're really messed up. I should show all the second-years." He pulled out his phone and started taking pictures of us.

"Will you stop that?!" I shouted at him.

So... did you two find it?" Gojo asked us and I glanced at Yuji.

"Well..."

"Um..." Yuji raised his hand and pointed to himself. "I ate it." Gojo just stared at him.

"For real?"

"For real," the three of us told him together. Gojo got in his face and stared at him.

"Ha ha! you're not kidding. They're combined. That's hilarious!" Gojo told him. "How does your body feel?"

"Okay..." uji said looking his body over. The only difference I saw, was the two small lines under his eyes where Sukuna's second pair of eyes had opened before.

"Can you switch to Sukuna?" Gojo asked him.

"Sukuna?" Yuji asked confused.

"Fushiguro told you before," I reminded him. "Sukuna is the name of the cursed object you ate."

"Oh, yeah," Yuji said and I sighed. "Probably."

"Ten seconds," Gojo ordered while stretching out his back. "Come on back after ten seconds."

"I dunno about this," Yuji told him.

"Don't worry!" Gojo told him grinning. "I'm crazy stong. Megumi, hold on to this, will ya?"

"What's this?" Fushiguro asked him.

"Kikufuku Mochi." I froze at his words and felt a vein pop on my head.

"You were buying souvenirs while we were basically dying?!" I shouted at him.

"It's not a souvenir," Gojo told us while, suddenly, Sukuna jumped into the air to attack him. "That's for me to eat on the bulleet train home. Gojo dodged Sukuna's attack which landed Sukuna right in front of me. His glowing red eyes stared into mine before he turned and tried attacking again. Gojo clasped his hands together and appeared behind Sukuna. "I've got students watching, so I hope you don't mind if I show off a little." Sukuna seemed to be either surprised, angry, or both before Gojo grabbed his wrist and hit him on the back of the neck, launching him onto the ground.

"It doesn't matter what era it is," Sukuna growled. "You guys are always a pain! You stupid Jujutsu Sorcerer!" Sukuna swiped his hand at Gojo like he had the curse before with a smirk on his face. "But that doesn't matter to me." The smock from the explosion seemed to whirl around where Gojo and Fushiguro were before breaking up to reveal them as Gojo counted.

"7. 8. 9. Should be about time..." I watched Sukuna's face go to one of shock before his eyes slowly closed and his head drooped and the marking faded away again.

"Was everything okay?" Yuji asked Gojo.

"Uh... yeah," I told him in slight surprise.

"What a surprise!" Gojo stated dropping the rubble that was floating due to his technique. "You really can control it."

"Yeah, but he's kind of annoying," Yuji told us knocking on his head.

"Annoying?" I asked him curiously.

"I can hear his voice in my head."

"It's a miracle that's the only side effect," Gojo told him walking up to him. Gojo tapped Yuji on his forehead and he dropped into his arms.

"What did you do?" Fushiguro asked him.

"He's knocked out," Gojo told us. "If he wakes up and isn't possessed he might have potential as a vessel. Okay, question for ya... what do I do with him?"

"You're... asking us?" I asked him pointing at both of us. Gojo just nodded and I looked down.

"Even if he is potentially a vessel, he must be executed under the regulations of Jujutsu," Fushiguro told us.

"That being said," I chimed in. "I don't want him to die. He's a childhood friend of mine and a good guy."

"Megumi?"

"I don't want to let him die," Fushiguro told him and I looked at him shocked before smiling at him.

"These are personal opinions?"

"Yes, a personal opinion," Fushiguro told him. "Please to something about it." Gojo just starged giggling before giving us a thumbs up.

"Two precious student's requests. Leave it to me!"

"Clean him up and get this blood off the floor," I ordered bringing my kimono sleeve up to my nose. "He's starting to stink." The man formed kitsune did as ordered and more appeared to clean the floor as instructed. I turned and walked away from the movements of my kitsune to another part of the temple. The humans had built this shrine some time ago, even cared fox statues and gave me a name they chose: Inari.

A few days passed, and the man finally started to stir. I'd been keeping busy with the prayers people offered up and protecting the villages surrounding the shrine. People also left sacrifices for simple things, rice and sake mostly.

"Woman!" I turned to look at the pinkette storming towards me. "Who the hell do you think you are?!"

"Shut up will you," I told him with a glare. "You're ruining the tranquility of a shrine."

"How dare you keep me in such a place!"

"So saving your life was a useless thing then?" I asked him with a smirk. "I should have just left you to die by some stray curse spirit or a wandering sorcerer?"

"I didn't need saving!" He shouted getting in my face.

"I'll remember that the next time you're bleeding out on my temples steps." I rose from my seat and grabbed the sake offering and moved deeper into the shrine.

"Don't you walk away from me!" He tried to attack me but I grabbed his wrist and slammed him to the ground.

"You should really learn your place, idiot."

"Damn you, you bitch!" He jumped up and tried using his claws on my and I simply jumped back out of his way. I grabbed one wrist and held him up by his throat. I'd placed my sake down so I didn't spill any.

"You are still human," I reminded him. "I'm not in my first century quite yet, but defeating a human is a no brainer for me."

"I'm not human! I'm..."

"You're on your way to be a curse spirit, but you're not there yet," I corrected him. "In due time, you will be. But not here. Not now." He just glared down at me and I dropped him. I picked up my sake and went about my business. "If you're done healing, you can leave. You're of no use to me here."

I sat next to Yuji watching the smoke rise into the air from the cremetory. The higher ups still want Yuji dead, but Gojo made a deal with them to postpone it. Of course, that means it's still going to happen, but only once he'd eaten all of Sukuna's fingers. I understood the need for it, Sukuna would die with Yuji but...

"Who passed away?" Gojo asked him.

"My grandpa, well I guess he's more like a dad," Yuji told us.

"He... passed peacefully... right?" I asked him worriedly and Yuji nodded to me.

"I see," Gojo said softly. "Sorry to bother you at a time like this. So, have you made a decision?" Gojo was giving him an option: Die now or later.

"Are there a lot of casualties with curses like this?" Yuji asked him. I messed with the bandage on my arm.

"Well, this is a pretty unusual circumstance," Gojo told him. "But if you're talking about potential damage, yes. It's considered lucky if you're able to die normally after running into a curse. Finding a body, even if torn apart, still might be considered all right. If you were to start investigating the remains of Sukuna, you'd probably witness some gruesome scenes. I can't even guarantee that you won't be a victim one day. Anyway, pick your hell." Yuji looked down before looking at me. I gave him a small smile.

"Hey, I'm fine, Yuji," I waved my hands between us, but he only seemed to stare at the bandages he could see. I was bandaged on my arms, around my head, neck, and around my chest. I was even limping a bit from the battle last night.

"If all of Sukuna is eliminated, will there be fewer people killed by curses?" Yuji asked him. Gojo and I shared a look and he smiled softly.

"Of course."

"Do you still have that finger?" Yuji asked extending his hand.

"Yeah." Gojo handed over Sukuna's finger over to Yuji, who stared at it.

"Now that I look at it again, it's pretty disgusting," Yuji told us before tossing it in his mouth. I watched as the curse markings appeared on his face. Could he really handle both fingers? And what about the other eighteen? Yuji's hand twitched before he started chuckling. I watched him worriedly before his hand went up to his throat and he was coughing. "Gross! So gross I can laugh!"

"You did laugh, idiot!" I slapped his back and his coughing got worse as he fell forward. Gojo started chuckling and we both stared at him confused.

"You okay?" Yuji asked him.

"It's nothing," Gojo told us. "I take it you're prepared for what's to come?"

"Not at all," Yuji told him. "I'm wondering why the heck I have to be executed. But I can't leave the curse alone. What a troublesome last request. I'm gonna eat the rest of Sukuna. That's all."

"Thankfully it's just his fingers," I joked and Yuji just got all flustered making me laugh.

"I already know how I'm gonna go out."

"Good stuff!" Gojo shouted. "You're really growing on me, kid. Looks like it's shaping up to be a fun hell. Get your belongings together by the end of the day."

"We goin' somewhere?" Yuji asked him as Fushiguro walked up to us.

"Tokyo."

"Fushiguro!" Yuji shouted before giving him a thumbs up. "You're looking good!"

"Really? I'm wrapped in bandages!" Fushiguro pointed out.

"Remember the high school I told you about?" I asked Yuji and he nodded. "You're going to enroll with us! At Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu Specialty High School!"

"By the way, there's four students in the first-year class now, including you!" Gojo told him.

"Only four?!"
