Elementary Alchemy

Chapter 6: Connecting tissue and Revelations

By Vox Deruste

Everyone was stumped by the information they shared with each other. The people native to Amestirs were confused by the description of nations and history that contracted theirs. Korra and Asami were confused with how they got there and could only recall a green being made of fire. And everyone was confused about how this connected to the people that took Korra and Edward out of the laboratory. And why did they let them live?

"The smartest people I know and nothing." Korra bemoaned.

"I'm flattered by the smart comment but that does make us omniscient." Asami added. While she did want to focus on recovering memories, these strings of coincidences need to be connected first.

In the room was Lieutenant Colonel Hughes, Major Armstrong, The Resembol duo of Alphonse and Edward, along with Korra and Asami. While Korra and Asami wanted Winry to be a part of this, the Elric's rejected the notion outright. The girls were convinced after they rationalized that this was a vast conspiracy around the military and that Winry seemed convinced that the boys should not get into trouble.

Korra and Asami independently decided that the boy's needed to tell their friends about what was going on. Though they both felt it was slightly sexist that they thought she did not have the strength to know about it. Korra pointedly told them this and the Elric's felt horrible but stayed the course, earning Korra's side-eye.

"Don't look at me like that, Winry worry's her head off when I scratch my arm. A whole conspiracy…." Edward trailed off. "I want her to be safe." Edward admitted.

"She'll be safe if you explain to her what not to do." Korra said with a glare. "Bad enough no one believes my memories."

"I apologize Korra but I literally don't have a frame of reference for what you describe. Sadly most of the information of other nations pertains to the ones we have to fight. And…" Hughes didn't want to say it but her story was not compatible with reality. The possibility of multiple realities at least but the possibility of a military conspiracy was enough to make his head spin. So logically he focuses on what he can actually deal with.

"Ugh, I get it. Doesn't make it less frustrating." Korra moaned.

"Either way I'm going to look into the military records to find anything about ouroboros tattoos. " Hughes said as he looked at the poor sketches Edward made.

"I look into the research team of Doctor Marcoh. Perhaps they can enlighten us about the nature of their research." Armstrong said as he held up a list of names.

"What about the rest of us?" Korra asked as the door opened.

A middle-aged man with black hair and definitive wrinkles walked in. He wore the most stars on his shoulders, had swords on his side, and had an intimidating aura. And yet a simile but one that Asami and Korra didn't trust. His face seemed soft but his furrowed brow and closed eyes were stern and hard, like blocks of rock.

"Fuhrer, Sir!" Armstrong and Hughes said in unison. Edward didn't move because he was stunned by the sudden appearance.

Korra felt like she heard that rank before but not what it meant. She went past Hughes and shook the man's hand.

"Yo, the name's Korra." Korra said with a partially casual tone. The man looked stunned by the frankness.

"King Bradley." Fuhrer Bradly in a calm voice.

"I thought your rank..was..fuhrer." Korra pieced together what she forgot. She was shaking hands with the leader of Amestris with an awkward, semi-sweaty handshake. She immediately went to her usual bowing stance but the fuhrer waved it off.

"Don't force yourself, you and your friend are new here and don't know the custom. I can let this slide." While was phrased as a joke, Korra felt a certain...finality that wasn't a jovial joke.

"So you know about me?" Korra asked as she looked at a very confused Asami and Edward. Two different kinds of confusion, on Edwards' end he was questioning Korra's sanity and decision-making skills. Asami was just lost.

"Of course, I have eyes and ears everywhere in central." He walked past Korra to Edward. "I heard you injured and decide to give you a gift." He handed a basket with a melon in it for Edward. He graciously but fearfully took the gift. "I have actually been keeping an eye on all of you for some time. Like how Armstrong has been looking into the senior officers and you, my Fullmetal Alchemist, returned with an immigrant girl who claims to have no memories." He turned pointedly to Korra and then Asami. "And I see you found the other one." Asami felt the instinct to hide for some reason. Like a survival instinct to get away from the most dangerous thing in the room.

"May I ask Sir? Why are you here?" Edward asked sheepishly.

"As I said, my eyes and ears hear many things. And the strangest of rumors. Including that of an Alchemist claiming to have a lead on the philosopher's stone." Bradley detailed with open green eyes. Edward began to sweat. "I sure hope, my dear Alchemist, that you don't know too much about things you shouldn't." His stern look turned fierce for a second. Korra felt the need to fight him and most in the room held their collective breath.

Fuhrer kept this stern look for around ten seconds before laughing.

"I'm only kidding." He laughed as the group let go of their breath. "I honestly applaud your work and want you to continue. Even with my vast network, it has been hard finding the pawns that propagate this wide conspiracy." Bradley flipped through the pages of names that Armstrong collected.

"Everyone on this list has been labeled missing a few days before the library burned down." Everyone was shocked by the revelation Bradly was giving them. "It appears the enemy is one step ahead of us on every turn and is able to escape the notice of the best military personnel in the country."

"What you're describing sir….it seems your implying that-"

"That we have been infiltrated from every angle? You have a sharp mind Hughes and I'm going to need that kind of intuition from the rest of you." He turned toward Korra and Asami again. "Even you two, from what I learned they have plans for you as well." Bradley took a photo from his coat pocket. Asami's eyes grew wide.

The picture was of a cloaked man running from the M.P's. A strange green fire was thrown from his arm.

"I know him, this is Green Flame." Asami started to remember slowly. A voice that led her through a gate and then near choking sensation from endless darkness. Then a void and bits of her being sucked out of her. Like something was trying to reach into her soul.

"He's been seen around East city. Around the last sighting of Scar." Edward stared at the photo and try to sear the image into his mind. Especially after Bradly said that he was seen around where the scar was. "Lieutenant colonel, Major, Fullmetal. I need all of you to listen to my words. I know that you three are of a trustworthy sort so take this order in stride. Speak none of this to no one and to forget it as well as you can." Korra was about to say something but Edward stop her with a touch. Giving her a look and whispering into her ear.

"Let him speak first, you don't interrupt the fuhrer." Korra grumbles but listens to Edwards's words.

"Don't trust anyone. Our only weapons against this elusive enemy are suspicion and discretion." Everyone looked at each other with worried looks. "But when the time comes to confront the enemy I expect you all to join me in the effort." He said with a smile.

"Sir!" Hughes and Armstrong saluted."

"Before I forget." Bradley took out two small card's. "Temporary citizenship, you won't need to worry about M.P's deporting you as illegal aliens." Korra was confused by what Bradly said but accepted the gift.

"Where is he?" They all heard a man called from the hallway. Hearing this Bradly went toward the window and opened it.

"I may have ditched my security detail to have some amount of privacy." Bradley said frankly as he stepped outside the window. "See you when I can, gentlemen." Bradley said as he walked away from the window. Leaving a bewildered look on everyone.

"No offense to your leader but that was strange right?" Korra asked everyone. She was given silent nods.

"Hey, I got...What happened here?" Winry asked as she barged through the door.

"Oh, you just missed a tornado?" Edward said dryly.

"Okay, don't tell me. I got the thickets you asked for." Winry held up a couple of train tickets.

"Where are we going?" Korra asked. Edward turned to her.

"If you need time to help Asami find a way to remember why she came here and how to get home. You can." Edward said with a straight face.

"Ed, I didn't know who I was, and yet I helped you. I thought I was just being someone I could be proud of being." Korra smiled. "Turns out that's just how I am. So you're stuck with me for a while. Besides, I'm not waiting around for this Green Flame to find me. Me and Asami will find our way home but we don't need him." Asami nodded to the determination in Korra's words. "Besides you two are by far the best workout I had in a while." Korra said in a cheeky smile.

"Thanks." Edward smiled warmly.

"Ed, you didn't answer my question." Winry slightly whined. Edward snapped his focus and looked at the tickets.

"Me and Al need to speak with our old teacher." Korra's attention was piqued.

"You need some more training from your Sifu?" Korra asked.

"More like…" Edward struggled to find the words. "Realignment, We need some new direction now that the philosopher's stone has been taken off the table." As Edward explained, Alphonse quake with fear.

"I'm scared brother." Al said as he started to fidget. Edward grabbed his hand.

"You think I'm not scared! We need to be strong for each other! Don't look weak in front of Korra's friend!" Korra snickered as the Elric boys cowered in fear. She thought it must be an act or something to ease the tension. Everyone else saw the actual fear in their eyes and wondered what kind of teacher they had.

"Well if you're going away from central, then we should try to coordinate some actions. Where is your teacher anyway?" Hughes asked as he pulled out a map.

"It should be south, all the way to Dublin." Edward pointed to the point in the map with that name. Winry looked over it as well and saw something in between Dublin and central.

"Ed we have to go here!" Winry points to a spot between the route.

"Why?" Asami asked.

"It's only the holy land of Automail and the biggest center of engineers!" Winry said with disbelief. "We have to go! We have to Go! We have to go!" Winry begged Edward. He looked toward Korra and Asami.

"We're going where you lead man." Korra answered.

"Fine. but no more begging." Ed relented as an excited Winry jumped with excitement.

"I'll get my stuff ready, the rest of you do the same. The train leaves in the afternoon." Winry said with a smile as she left the room.

"She'll make a fine wife someday." Hughes said as he put a hand on Edwards's shoulder.

"Don't you start." Edward remarked. Korra had a slight chuckle as Hughes started to over-share pictures of his daughter and wife.

After a flurry of work and packing for the train. The collective group of Korra, Asami, and Winry made their way to the Hughes family home.

After seeing Hughes's daughter, she understood a bit better why he seemed to take every opportunity to gush about her.

"Sissy brought friends, Sissy brought friends!" The little girl cried out as Korra helped with some of Winry's things. "Oh, muscle sissy is big and strong!" Korra took it as a compliment.

"Aren't you just a little pile of adorable." Korra awed.

"What's the cutie's name." Asami asked as she patted the head of the small girl.

"Ellicia! I am three!" The girl said happily as she gave Asami a big hug. Her chest was warmed and her heart melted by the touch.

"Guess she likes you." Winry said with a wide smile as she carried out her equipment. The little girl watched with attentive eyes as the young woman stepped out of her door. Her mother, a kind and nurturing woman carried out an apple pie.

"You better not leave before trying some." Gracia said as she had a slice of pie from everyone. Korra was the first to take a bite and the first to nearly swoon over it.

"That's one of the best desserts I have ever tasted." Korra said with a gleeful smile. "Have you been hogging this deliciousness for yourself, Winry!" Korra grabbed Winry and squeezed her. Asami had a chuckle as she ate cake and played with the little girl.

"Nice to know all of you can still relax." Hughes remarked as he lifted up his daughter and kissed his wife on the cheek. "Enjoying the quiet." He said sarcastically.

"How can I? we need to let out some steam after being stuck in a hospital." Korra retorted after letting go of Winry to eat some pie.

"Ha, fair enough. I drop all of you off at the train stop with some leftover pie if you want. Dublin is an at least three days train ride." Hughes said with cheer as he lower his daughter to the ground. When everyone was about to leave, Hughes turned to his family. "I'll be back after work today. I should be able to get done quickly." He squished his daughter's cheeks. "Daddy will be right back after doing all his work, you'll keep mommy company while daddy's gone, right pumpkin." Hughes said in a cutesy voice for her daughter.

"Get back soon daddy!" His daughter excitedly shouted. Asami smiled as she watch Hughes patted her head.

"You have a lovely home." Asami remarked.

"Thanks, they keep me going." Hughes had a somber smile on his face. " Honestly...After what we were told...I'm going to hold on to them a bit tighter now." Hughes's ominous words were not lost on the group but Asami seemed to be the most affected. Scattered memories of a rotund man with her mind. Hugging her, loving her….betraying her. A mixture of hate and sadness washed over her when thinking of the man and then some happiness when she looked at Korra. Half remembered memories of a group of friends, sticking against an unfair system.

Hughes drove them all to the train stop and they said their goodbyes to Hughes and Armstrong.

"Take care." Korra said to Armstrong, grabbing his hand in joint flex.

"I hope you find your way home Miss Korra. And that the Elric's don't cause too much trouble for all of you." Armstrong said stridently but with the slightest bit of snark.

"Thank you for your hospitality." Winry shook Hughes's hand. "I will be back when I get back to Central."

"Maybe when Ed breaks his arm again." Hughes joked but Winry took it to heart and glared at the slightly awkward Edward. He was fine enough with letting Korra come on their journey but the inclusion of Asami and Winry made things feel more crowded. Not to mention the question's the duo brought with them.

Why do they have memories of a history that does not exist in this world? If it was hallucination and delusion how could Asami be sharing them with no deviation? What about this Green Flame figure who's in league with those mysterious conspirators?

What was His and his brother's place in all this?

The questions bugged him as they got onto the train and they waved off The major and Hughes.

"So three two days until, what was it-"

"Rush Valley." Winry answered Korra's question.

"Right so, we drop her off there and then Dublin." Korra summarized.

"More or less." Edward answered. "Honestly it won't be that long. Trust me the time will just breeze by." Korra didn't really believe him but that mostly she hated the cramped space on trains. And while she did like that she had company, she wished this world had airships or at least faster travel. The quicker they can move around, the more they can unravel this mystery.

She did enjoy the camaraderie that the group was having, Winry and Asami especially seemed to be getting along. Asami had basically all the memories of her mechanical skills intact, apparently whatever brought them to this world seems to only affect personal memories, not those related to skill. They talked at length about machinery and mechanical engineering.

"So you can create a fully mechanized suit for people, but guns are a foreign concept?" Winry asked. Asami shrugged.

"I never thought that propelling a tiny bit of lead would be that potent. People also prefer hand-to-hand combat back home. We barely even use archers or cannons unless we have to." Asami explained. "And honestly I don't think I'm all that comfortable with them." Asami took out a slim, leather glove that had electrical components sticking out of it. Winry took the sight in. "I'll stick with this if a fight breaks out." Asami said confidently Winry looked at her warily.

"Must you? Why are travelers so fight-crazy?" Winry questioned.

"You really don't have a choice sometimes." Korra answered. "I mean...well I'm pretty sure you don't believe me but I'm kinda a big deal, an Avatar. Some people just need a few goods fist to the head." Korra meant to assure Winry but the blonde girl shakes her head. She was still uncomfortable with the idea of any of her friends getting into a fight. Especially the Elrics but that was expressed more outwardly than the worry for Korra and Asami.

Winry kinda hoped that two more girls would discourage Elric's tendency to end up in fights but it seems they might actively encourage it if people get in their way.

"So what kind of person is your teacher?" Korra asked Ed and El.

She sat with the brothers, Asami sat parallel to Winry.

"She's...Well, going to kill us after she learns what we did and what we used it for?" Edward despaired along with his younger brother.

"It would've been nice to have a girlfriend befo-"

"You already said that." Korra cut Al off. "And I thought my teachers were rough. Sifu Katara wouldn't let me get away with anything when I learned under her." Korra was happy she could remember fond memories of her teacher, she was one of the warmest things of her icy home.

"Bottom line it's going to be a good opportunity to ask her some questions we need to be answered while Hughes and The Major looking into things in Central." Edward was already planning in his head what to do. He was worried about what would be the best approach to meet with their teacher. How best to explain to her what had happened to them.

Every scenario in his head ended with her beating both of them.

He turned his mind away from that as everyone else began sharing small things. How nice the Hughes family was, how Al added the pie and quiche from them to his list of things he was going to eat. How Korra and Asami had their little aside.

While Edward was annoyed that he didn't have the same quiet thinking time he usually had on the train...it was nice to have like-minded people near him. People going toward similar goals alongside him for once without them being related. Korra seemed more chipper with Asami around the snippets he got from her conversation with Winry seemed to be stimulating her greatly. Maybe even stirring new ideas into the engineer.

Despite the setback at the fifth laboratory. Everything seemed to be going on a nice track for the brother for once.

Green Flames' plans were unraveling at the seams as he ran from the knowledge seekers and several dark secrets. They had sadly caught him in the material world and got a few hits on him. Worst yet, going into the spirit world did not allow him to lose them as new spirits took up the chase. Dragon Eel's and corrupted forest spirit's alike hunted the fire spirit. Jeering and calling him a traitor in distorted voices.

Above all, Unalaq was leading them, riding on the back of a corrupted dragon-dog spirit. The persecution by his own kind Green Flame could take solace, but he would sooner erase his own existence than be captured or defeated by the human king.

"You can't run forever traitor!" Unalaq yelled with presumptuous pride. Unalaq was relishing the chase of bringing down the spirit that had dared mocked him. The spirit that dared to have a seat on the table of Vaatu. And failed to take away his own. "You will pay for betraying the will of Vaatu!" Unalaq shouted as he blasted a jet of water at Green Flame.

While Green Flame did manage to dodge the water. The Dragon Eel clipped him instead. He continued to run after whacking the eel off him heading straight forward.

"And you betray everything the spirit world is about. Trading the unity and beauty of nature for chaos and monstrosity of Vaatu." Green Flame retorted. He knew that the influence of Vaatu was too strong on the spirits but he would at least let his piece be heard as he ran then fall quietly. "We may have diminished under Raava but turning toward Vaatu would only hasten our destruction like flies in fires." In turn, green flame shot balls of fire at the spirits. Leading to where he was running. Straight past the library of Wan Shi Tong.

The titular spirit flew out of his library with great speed toward Green Flame as well.

"You contend that I was acting like a petty human! And yet side with them!" The Owl spirit screeched at him.

"The difference between you and me is that I realize the comparison. You throw a tantrum and take their knowledge into the spirit realm like a child hiding his toys." Green Flame sneered. "How can a spirit of knowledge be so ignorant." He twisted the knife.

"How dare you!" Wan Shi Tong bellowed at the spirit as tried to dive-bomb him. Green Flame got out of the way and continued to charge forward, propelled by Green Fire like a firework. He started to see a gate at the edge of a void and several spirits that were tailing him suddenly had their survival instincts outweigh their loyalty to Vaatu. The only ones continuing are some of the stronger spirits, Wan Shi Tong and Unalaq. Green Flame had an unseen smile on his phosphorus face. Grinning as he flew over the edge of a premade circle and near the wooden gate. The edge of the spirit world. Instinctually Wan Shi Tong stopped himself but the other spirit's under Unalaq sway did not move and as he got on the circle.

Green Flame stopped to press his fiery hand on top of it.

Unalaq saw a bright blue light enveloped him and the spirits. For only a second longer did the spirits that stepped on the circle survived. Lightning licked their bodies and disintegrating them, taking bits of their forms and compressing them into the center of the circle.

Unalaq was launched from the spirits back as it dissolved into nothing. Pain racked his body as the lighting lick his skin, taking flakes and upper layers of skin. He landed on the cold ground of spirit worlds edge. He felt unimaginable pain as the circle glowed, Green Flame smirking as a black and white eye appeared behind him.

"Unalaq, Unalalq. I even showed you how it worked and you still fell for that trap." In front of Unalaq, after the last of the spirits, corporeal forms were consumed into a red gem. It floated briefly in the middle of the circle before the flaming hand of Green Flame grabbed it. "Be glad that you won't be part of this stone." Green Flame said confidently as the Human king laid down, prone on the ground in pain.

"No matter where you go, no matter where you hide, I will find and rend you into oblivion!" Unalaq bellowed.

Green flamed look toward the remain spirits, Wan Shi Tong included.

"Not unless you come to me." Green flame held up the jewel before the eye behind himself opened up and tiny black hands reached out from it. Grabbing at the sides of the spirit. Taking him apart piece by piece. "I dare you to follow to the other realm. Do something the spirits themselves dare not do! Dare to be interesting and adapt." Green Flame began to laugh a maniacal laugh that reverberate inside Unalaq's ears and mind.

Green relished the frustration in the human king's eyes, the only regret was pointed toward Wan Shi Tong.

"Learn from the ones who became the stone you old buzzard. The only thing that follows that man is destruction. Vaatu more so." The hands coming from the eye started to pick apart the chest and we're reaching his neck. "Live up to your title, Spirit of knowledge. As I live up to my new one." Green Flame smirked as the hands took him into the eye and Wan Shit Tong and the human king were left but to think about the words of the spirit.

The king and Wan Shi Tong, watched as Green Flame was swallowed into the eye. Turning into blue lighting and surged into the darkness beyond the wooden gate. Green Flame felt great pain but worked through it as he went into the other gate. He had done it through more esoteric means before but he was damaged now, carrying a stone of power this time.

He was now in a white void. Endless and vacant. With tiny specks of black. An amorphous blob of white was standing in front of him.

"So you finally went through the gate the true way." The blob grew a smile on its face. It was when it started smiling that Green Flame found similarities, what he thought was a blob was merely an amorphous reinterpretation of his own flame-like body made of white void. Looking back at him with a face with no eyes and a toothy smile instead of the black pit that Green Sage.

"Desperate times call for drastic solutions." Green Flamed washed himself off. "We both know what I want at the moment, so let's skip to that part. I don't need knowledge about you to know that I have an alternative to your manufactured rules." Green Flame showed the crimson stone in his fiery palm. "This will act as sacrifice-"

"Ordinarily that would be enough but this is a special circumstance." The void creature smirked.

"That isn't how it goes." Green Flame retorted. "Your world works on equivalent exchange and this energy, that of old spirits can pay the toll. You let the humans through when I brought them." The figure was unfazed.

"I took some energy and memories as compensation from them. As well as your own. I'm not changing the perceived rules, just informing you that your energy has been drained. Enough trips and you might disappear." The Figure explained. Green Flame usal smile and beguiling look fade as he looks down on himself.

He noticed it, the dimness of his fire, the aches he should not be feeling. The gaps in his mind that should not be there.

"Just a warning. I will take this energy." The figure raised a finger and lighting shot from the stone and went into the figure. The stone lost half its luster. "Just know that it's not as much as you think." The figure nearly joked. Green Flame kept quiet, he joked with and prodded Vaatu, but he was trapped. A being like this is free but content in this void. The power he sensed alone cautioned him but the fact he was the only higher being from that world made him pause the most.

Green Flame bowed out of respect. Partially out of fear.

"Let's see what trouble you will cause." the figure said as a group of hands grabbed him and pulled him into a gate behind him. A stone one with images of spirit and an ancient diagram of chakras and rei-ki lines.

Green Flame once more felt pain as he distracted himself by trying to formulate how to readjust his plans. He was found out and ratted out to Vaatu. He needed more energy for his philosopher's stone and to relocate the Avatar. One eight days remain before harmonic convergence begins and he did not know where the Avatar was now.

His senses became dull as he was thrown out of the portal near where arrived last time. In an alleyway of Central city. He could not feel the Avatar spirit near him. He tried to train his focus on the source chi but the rancid chi of the monster's underneath Central prevented that. Like smog obscuring the sun. He thought fast and tried to remember what the homunculi were going to do.

He remembered they wanted to cut loose ends from the fifth laboratory and that they were going to keep an eye on the Fullmetal Alchemist's allies. He thought about who they talked about and decided on Lieutenant Hughes.

He traveled inside the street to make his way, to hide from prying eyes. He knew that Vaatu forces couldn't follow him without his knowledge but he took the precaution. He went toward every military officer in the center. Looking for the man Hughes. Hiding in the shadows and in the floors and walls. Listening to every conversation. When he made way to one of the military libraries is when he made progress.

The human was pouring over history books and a map of his own nation. Apparently unnerved by a great discovery. Green Flame watched from the shadow of a bookcase.

"No this- How can it-" Hughes kept stopping before he could finish his collective thoughts. The revelation in his mind made him slightly lightheaded and fearful. And especially paranoid when he saw an unfamiliar woman walk in. A tattoo on her chest and a black dress. She looked had a cold intelligent look in her eyes. With a quiet pride.

"Now Hughes, you are such a smart man. Ever thought that might lead to your death one day." Within a second of thought, Hughes threw many knives from his belt and the homunculus Lust speared through his side and part of his chest.

Hughes managed to get her head. Nailing her to the door as he limped away. Green Flame left the bookcase and went over to Lust. Not to help her, she was already regenerating, He simply wanted the opportunity to be doing better than someone.

"Letting your prey get away homunculus?" Green Flame coyly.

"You're looking awful yourself." Lust remarked as she tore the knives from her skull and pocketed it. "I'm not the only one hunting either way." Green Flame instantly thought about Envy. Shame really, he thought. From what he spied of Hughes he seemed the intelligent, dashing type. Green Flame did see a glimpse of the work that Hughes had on the library table. A map of the circular nation of Amestris and several towns and city's with dates. Lust took the map and shredded it with her finger spears.

"Well outside of your hunting, I well- embarrassed, to say the least, but I do require your assistance for something." Lust barely paid Green Flame any mind.

"I'm busy and we're not looking into a slum for you. Be glad that we bother to locate that Ishvalen for you." Lust said in her sultry tone.

"Can I at least know where he is at the moment? If the plan is to succeed despite...setback I need to know." Green Flame was not going to mention the fact his spirit allies turned on him without ensuring the homunculi's cooperation with the plan. Lust shrugged.

"You said all we need to do was be ready when your planets get into their proper orbits. You fulfill your end and we will ours." Lust said simply. Green Flame phased through the door to help conceal his frustration. He phased into the roof entirely when lust left the library.

"I barely have their trust and I lost the trust of the spirits." Green Flame monologued high in the air. Overlooking the cardinal directions. "Perhaps the Avatar's friends...no I'm on the wrong side of the gate for the brothers. And I need that boy for the convergence." Green Flame debated going south. Toward the Avatar to try a play on her or the east toward Azuma. After some thought and listening in on a far-off gunshot. Green Flame looked toward the east. "Ill get him and then Korra. Simple as that." Green Flame flew off into the horizon, like a streaking star of green. Hoping his plans have not fallen apart.
