Little mix of Deja Vu and Complete. Call back to Overwatch.
As they walk down the hallway, she turns to her husband and is met with a furrowed brow. "Babe, you okay?"
"Yeah, it's just…" He looks around, eyes pinched as if he's trying to remember something. "Does this place look familiar to you?"
"Come on, daddy, we gotta hurry."
His face quickly morphs into that of awe as he looks to their newest member of the family. She's only been with them for 6 months, and only recently started calling him daddy. "I'm coming, Princess."
Kensi looks around and realizing what the hall they're walking down once was. She's not sure how they didn't recognize it when they first walked in, but she must say, they did a nice job remodeling the building. You'd definitely never know it was once a hospital morgue 10 years ago. Clenching her jaw when another part of that day suddenly hits her, she looks at him trying not to laugh or cringe….maybe both.
He knows that look, he definitely said something idiotic or gross here. "What, what did I say?"
"You really don't remember this place?"
"I mean I know it was once a-a place where thing go when they leave earth but…" That's when it hits him. It was gross, definitely gross…throw up gross.
She sees the recognition cross his features and finally lets her shit eating grin shine. "Just now hitting ya?"
The frown that crosses his lips mirrors the queasy feeling that's rumbling within his stomach. "Yeah."
"I knew I'd get payback for that somehow just not like this." Her hands find their way around his arm, giving his bicep a squeeze as she lets out a squawk of laughter.
"Stop…just-can we not?"
"Come on, mommy and daddy."
They turn their attention to their daughter as she all but runs down the hallway before the brunette turns back to her partner. "You better listen to what your wife says or you're gonna be dealing with Mother Blye."
He tilts his head back, scolding his past self as he tries to forget what he said so many years ago but his wife won't let him. "Gahhhh. Baby, whyyyyy?"
As she chases after their girl, she throws a quick glance over her shoulder, smirk still plastered to her face. "Hey, you're the one that said it, Bieber."
