Hello, my friends! I bring you the second chapter of Green Bean. Thank you to those who liked the first chapter, albeit however short it was.

Katsuki and Midoriya were wandering through the forest, the inseparable duo having long been left alone. When the other kids found out that Bakugo was friends with the quirkless one, they outcast him. Of course, the students were afraid of him. The teachers couldn't approve of his friend choices, but his quirk was too good to punish him for using it.

The two were walking and talking excitedly about the newest All Might fight when they heard it. It was small, but it sounded like a groan. Bakugo froze up for a second, and Midoriya jumped, the two five year olds looked at each other before turning towards the source of the noise. It was a bush. Slowly, they walked over… and found a bigger boy in the bush. His arms and bottom eyelids were horribly burnt. Midoriya gasped and moved even closer, putting a hand to his forehead. He was burning up.

"Kacchan!"

"I know, Deku, let's get him to Auntie Inko's!"

The two young boys then worked together, picking up the older boy and carrying him through the forest. Eventually the two, now three boys, somehow made it to the apartment. To say Inko was not expecting her son and his best friend to come back carrying an older boy who was passed out with burns and a fever… Is an understatement. Inko immediately went into full mother mode, instructing the boys to set the older boy on the couch. Midoriya ran down the hall and returned with some cream for the burn, and began to apply it while his mother called the doctor. Bakugo brought an ice pack over and set it on his forehead, the normally volatile boy silent, like Midoriya.

Eventually paramedics arrived and took the boy, with the three following, Bakugo refusing to leave at this point. Inko called Mitsuka and let her know that Bakugo wasn't returning for a bit. Midoriya smiled brightly while Bakugo grinned maniacally.

Touya Todoroki was many things. A bit mentally unstable for a nine year old? Yes. Strong as hell? Also yes. But he wasn't sure how he ended up in a hospital bed with his burns feeling less painful. He unconsciously groaned and shifted a hand to his forehead, before noticing that.. his arms didn't look burned at all. He gasped , and checked his other arm. They weren't burnt!

"Oh! You're awake!" A young and cheerful voice rang from beside him, and he looked over to see two smaller boys looking at him. One in sheer happiness and the other ina colder demeanor that actually showed that he cared.

"About time. You were giving Deku here a panic attack."

"Hey! You were worried too, Kacchan!" And there went the cold demeanor. The ashy blonde sputtered, before looking away.

"DAMN DEKU..!"

Touya laughed at that. Before covering his mouth. The other one, Deku, the other boy called him, looked at him confused. He tilted his head.

"How'd you get your burns? Why were you out in the forest?"

Touya.. blinked. Before his eyes widened. No. No he couldn't tell them- He couldn't go back—

"I was caught in a small forest fire," He lied. Well, half lied. No one needed to know he caused it. "I don't remember anything else."

Midoriya blinked. A small forest fire? He'd have to look it up later. There was no way there weren't any heroes there to put it out. "So.. where are your parents?"

Touya spoke quickly. THIS especially couldn't be known.

"I don't know."

Good job Touya.

"Oh…" 'Deku' looked down, there was a look in his eyes— Sympathy?

Not good job. Bad job. Bad job Touya.

"B-But I'm sure they're fine!" Touya quickly added, causing Midoriya to look back up with that bright smile. Bakugo gave an approving nod. Almost immediately after the door to the hospital room opened.

"—and there are no missing kids reports, so.."

Two adults entered, one clearly being the doctor, and the other was a rather slim green haired woman. If he had to guess, she was the green haired one's mother.

"Ah!" The Doctor said, looking up from his clipboard. "You're awake! Good. We need to run some tests, but you seem to be doing fine. Although, your living situation is a bit odd, since there are no missing kids reports."

Wait.. what? He— No. He wouldn't..! Right? Oh, who was Touya kidding? Of course he would.

"Mom! Mom! Can we take care of him?" Touya gawked and Inko gave a nervous laugh.

"Izuku, we can't just take kids like that, honey."

"Well, it's either that, orphanage, we work to try and find his parents if he has any, or foster care."

Touya immediately hated three of those four choices.

"I'LL GO WITH THEM!" He practically screamed, causing Katsuki to literally fall over in surprise and Midoriya to flinch. The adults blinked, before they left the room.

After many, many processes that will not be delved into, Touya Todoroki became a Midoriya. Touya himself didn't know how he got here, but he certainly wasn't complaining. He got therapy, for one. And for two, Izuku adored him, and Touya adored him in return. The apartment felt alive! And Inko was awesome. In fact, she was so cool that the first day Touya was officially a Midoriya, she made him his favorite dinner, which coincidentally happened to be Izuku's favorite; Katsudon. And the ashy blonde, whom he has come to learn as Bakugo, or Katsuki, isn't too bad past that.. horribly jaded outer shell. While they didn't always get along, one instance united them beyond blood and brotherhood.

As Touya waited for his adoptive brother with Katsuki, he finally showed up to the front gate. His uniform was messed up, though. Dirt and small scratches were littered across the youngest Midoriya.

"Izuku…" Touya asked calmly.

"Do you know who did this?" Bakugo finished.

"N-No! No one really hurt m-me, I'm f-fine!" Midoriya immediately protested. But it was all for naught. Bakugo and Touya looked at each other, a telepathic message sent between the two boys.

That day, the first members of the Deku Protection Squad came into existence. Legend has it that the preschoolers were never seen again… at least not until they came back with burn marks.

And that is a wrap, folks! Introducing; Touya Midoriya! This is something I had planned, because oh my god I could NOT pass this idea up. Anyways, I hope you guys liked it, and if not, don't force yourself to read it. Until next time! Plus Ultra!
