Junya had sped straight to the hospital once Nariko scrambled into the car. He told her the emergency. Hanta's younger sibling had gotten jumped. Xe would have likely been dead if it wasn't for a hero stumbling across xem and taking xem to the hospital. Nariko has a pretty good idea who jumped xem.
"Han, what the hell happened?" Nariko asks as she marches her way to her family.
"I don't know. Xe was on xyr way home and I didn't think anything of it. Yasu usually takes a long time coming home." Hanta runs a hand through his hair before he spots Nariko's uniform. "What the hell are you wearing?"
Nariko pulls at her soaked cardigan, covering her uniform. "My work uniform. Don't bother, I'm not allowed to wear anything else. Is Yasu stable?"
"Yes. Edgeshot was fortunately on his patrol when he found–when he found–" Sero Yesenia bursts into sobs and Junya quickly brings her into a hug. Nariko wraps her arms around Hanta and hugs him tightly.
"Do you have any ideas?" The yellow haired teenager murmurs in her cousin's ear.
Hanta hugs Nariko back just as tightly. "Iwata Tokuko and Kogawa Akina... They've been terrorizing xem since the beginning of the school year."
Nariko nods her head and breaks the hug. She stands on the tips of her toes and grabs his face with her hands before kissing Hanta's cheek.
"...I stayed over at your house to stay close with family," Nariko says calmly, expression void of emotion.
Hanta nods his head and hugs his cousin one more time. "What are you going to do to them?"
"Uncle Junya, Auntie Yesenia, I have some more work to do, but I'm just a call away if anything happens. I'll be staying over if it's alright with you. I will also–hypothetically speaking–smuggle anything you want Yasu to have while xe heals," The yellow haired teenager says with a smile, ignoring Hanta's question. She hugs her family before limping her way out of the hospital.
The smile disappears and is replaced by fury. She has some work to do tonight.
Nariko checks the information one last time before pulling down her mask. She twirls around her bat and waits for the two girls–one 13 and the other 14–to pass the corner. She ignores Hanta's texts for now.
"–so hilarious! She kept begging for us to stop," A girl's voice cuts through the silence, followed by another girl's laugh and laughter from a phone.
"She'll be too terrified to do anything now. And her parents don't know a thing! We're getting away with it, like always. No worries." The girls pass the corner.
Nariko hums and twirls around her bat again. "No worries? You shouldn't think so naively, now Iwata Tokuko and Kogawa Akina."
The girls jump away from the voice as Nariko stalks out of the shadows. Her plain white mask hides her face and she spray painted her hair brown. She left her eyes the way they were, a smoldering gold.
"Who're you?" The girl on the left–Tokuko–asks with a disgusted sneer. Neither girl was scared.
"Hm... I've been searching for a long time for you both. I'm quite surprised," Nariko states instead of answering the question. She walks around the girls, twirling her bat.
"You two are quite jealous little bitches, aren't you?" Nariko chuckles and subtly uses her Quirk to short-circuit their phones. "Anytime someone new comes to your school, you terrorize them. If that doesn't work, you jump them and leave them to die."
"W-what are you talking about?" Akina asks, confidence slowly cracking. Nariko hums with a smile, stopping behind the girls.
"Even your own sister, Iwata. Left to die in a dirty alley. Succumbed to her injuries in the hospital two days later, despite being completely stable. Of course, there can't be two Iwatas." Tokuko tenses up, eyes wide in shock and fear.
"H-how–"
"Ah, you see. I'm not here for that. I am here for Sero Yasu. I hope you recognize the name. While it's horrible to say this, I only needed one more of your victims to find you," Nariko lies, leaning against her bat. Tokuko puffs up her chest with a smirk.
"What're you going to do? Hand us over to the police? Threaten us to stop teaching people where their places are?" She laughs loudly and tries to turn on her phone. She pales slightly when it doesn't turn on.
Nariko laughs lightly, taking a step closer. "Where are my manners? I never did introduce myself, did I?"
The disguised teenager whirls her bat at Tokuko, slamming it into the girl's stomach. She throws up at the painful force to her stomach. Akina screams, but Nariko quickly blows out her knee with the bat before she could run. She falls with a cry of pain.
"I'm called Karma. I'm sure you heard of me before."
"Kaminari-chan! I've missed you!" Tōru exclaims, pouncing on Nariko and hugging her when she enters the classroom. Nariko makes a noise of surprise before laughing, hugging the invisible girl back.
"Hey, Hagakure-chan. It's only been a week, ya know," The yellow haired teenager comments with a smile.
Tōru crosses her arms and seems to pout. "But you weren't able to do anything with us!"
"I guess I did go overboard with work..."
"Sorry Hagakure-chan. I was busy working and I had a... family emergency near the end of the week." Nariko smiles sheepishly "Maybe sometime soon we can all hang out."
"Hey, Dumbass Pikachu I need to talk with your fucking dumbass," Katsuki scowls as he speaks, trudging over to the two girls.
Nariko playfully rolls her eyes, waving off Tōru. "Asking nicely would be preferable, Bitchy Pomeranian."
Nariko's smile disappears when the blonde doesn't comment on his nickname she gave him. She glances around and quietly pulls Katsuki out of the classroom.
"Everything alright?"
"I told you before, I don't want your pity," Katsuki says, holding out the sticky note Nariko gave him. Nariko frowns slightly, staring at the sticky note. She calmly grabs his hand and places the sticky note in his palm before closing it.
"Giving you a choice isn't pity, Bakugō-kun. Someone who wants to help doesn't mean they pity you." She places her hand over the blonde's. "I am giving you a choice. You don't have to take it, but my home is open to you."
"What are you two doing outside of class?" Shōta interrupts the moment, making Nariko jump. She turns to give a small glare at the bandaged man before sighing.
"Just talking Aizawa-Sensei," Nariko says before giving Katsuki a small smile. She goes back into the classroom. Katsuki follows her after a few moments.
"Be quiet." Shōta's muffled voice quickly sets the class in motion. Everyone goes quiet and scrambles to their seats. Nariko rolls her eyes at Shōta's silent contentment.
"Today we are going to be talking about the UA Sports Festival."
"No cap? We seriously doing something normal?" Nariko bursts out in excitement, annoyance forgotten at the statement.
Shōta sighs heavily and nods his head. "Yes, Kaminari-san. No cap, or whatever you just said."
Nariko pouts slightly and crosses her arms. Is UA really going to ignore what happened a week ago?
"What if they attack again?" Nariko thoughts take a dark turn. "No. I'll make sure they won't."
Hey! Hope you like the new chapter! Bye.
