Chapter 3: Makin' Friends!

Oak Residence

(Red's POV)

It was a bright and sunny afternoon and my parents and I are on our way to visit the Oak family. I was excited to see Daisy and Prof. Oak, however, that also meant I was going to meet Blue too.

To be honest I'm not sure what I'm going to expect from this world's Blue. I don't know if this Blue will become my rival sooner or later, I'm not sure.

Anyway, we are on our way with my mother carrying me in her arms as we made it to our destination. My father knocked on the door a few times before it opened revealing Blue's dad, John Oak with a smirk on his face.

He looked very much like a much older version of Gary from the anime with dark brown and black eyes. He's currently wearing a pair of green cargo pants, a black shirt underneath a blue jacket, and a pair of leather boots.

"Harrison, Anna! Good to see ya!", John greeted, hugging my father before turning to me.

"And Red, l good to see you too squirt.", John chuckled as he ruffled my hair. I felt a little comfortable after that.

"Anyway, come in. Jenna, Pops, and I have been waiting, and I know Daisy is eager to see Red.", John said. My parents and I went in as we followed him inside. We entered the living room where I saw four familiar people. Prof. Oak, Daisy, and holding Blue in her arms was John's wife and the mother of Blue was Jenna Oak.

Jenna had fair skin with orange hair and honey brown eyes. She was currently wearing a light green blouse and dark jeans. Upon seeing us enter the room she smiled along with Daisy, and Prof. Oak.

"Jenna, Harrison! It's so nice to see you both.", Jenna said, greeting my parents. My mother took her seat next to her as my father sat beside her. She then turned her attention to me as she gave a cheerful smile.

"Hello, Red it's nice to see you again.", Jenna said as she proceeds to pinch my left cheek while still holding Blue in one arm as I smile back at her. Afterward, the adults began conversing amongst themselves. I told my mother I wanted to be with Daisy to which she allowed as she put me down.

I spent the rest of the day hanging out with Daisy. We played a few games ranging from a game of tag, hide-and-seek, and reluctantly I played tea time with her. But regardless, we had a good time together.

After that, we started talking together. We talked about a lot of things like our favorite foods, games, and even talked about our favorite subject, Pokémon. We talked about our favorite Pokémon, and I asked her what she wanted to do. She said wanted to become a Pokémon Coordinator after watching a couple of Hoenn contests on TV.

I told her she would make a great coordinator and that I'll always believe in her. This caused her to smile with her face blushing red as she gave me a big "Thank you!" before hugging me tightly. Our friendship together grew that day.

Two Years And Ten Months Later

Daycare

(Red's POV)

I'm now 3-years-old and I'm in nursery or daycare. I've now started nursery here in daycare. My mother dropped me off at the small daycare center, before kissing me goodbye as she left. I entered the room and was greeted by the sight of a dozen children around 3 to 4 years of age. How great. Among them was Blue and to my utter shock and surprise, I saw two figures that I recognized.

I introduced myself to the whole class before taking my seat among them. I tuned out most of what the teacher said as I patiently waited for recess as I didn't feel the need to learn as I've already known most of this stuff in my previous life. Once class finally ended recess started the kids in the class went and did their own thing either in the classroom or outside in the small playground in the back.

I however sat quietly in corner of the room. I spotted Blue with a bunch of other kids but I paid no mind to him as I scanned throughout the room until I caught sight of the two children I recognized.

There I spotted two girls, twins in fact. They both have brown hair with layers around their faces. One of them had brown eyes and wore a small light blue dress with a white Pokéball symbol and a little white hat while the other had blue eyes with mahogany-colored hair and wore a small green dress with a blue Pokéball symbol. I knew exactly who they were, and I'm still just as surprised at seeing these two, especially the latter.

However, I shook my head and decide to go up to them and greet them. I made my way towards them as I ignored most of the noise coming from the children around. As I grew closer, the two girls noticed my presence once I arrive in front of them. They stared blankly at me before giving them the warmest smile I could muster before I greeted them.

"Hello, my name's Red, nice to meet you.", I greeted politely. They both smiled at my greeting before introducing themselves. The one with brown eyes spoke first.

"Hi! My name's Leaf.", Leaf said greeting me cheerfully. She gave a smile in my way alongside the other girl as she began introducing herself.

"And my name's Green! Nice to meet you.", Green said introducing herself as she smiled at me as well. I blushed slightly as a thought crossed my mind upon seeing them smile.

'So cute!', I thought, still keeping my composure. Then I began asking them my question to see if my suspicions were true.

"Are you both sisters?", I asked them. They looked at each other and nodded before turning to me as they began to speak.

"Yes!", they answered in unison, smiling cheerfully. I then asked them one more question.

"Do you wanna be friends with me?", I asked them. They both nodded, still smiling as Leaf spoke first.

"Sure! Right, Green?", Leaf said as she turned to her sister.

"Yeah!", Green said, cheerfully. I mentally smiled at making friends with both girls although it's got me deep in thought. Why was Green here? If remembered correctly, there were two versions of Green. The Green from the Let's Go Pikachu! Eevee! and the other Green from the Pokémon Adventures manga. It got me wondering about this Green. Is this Green going to be like in the Let's Go! Games, the manga, or will it be a mix of both?

Also, will other characters from the Adventures manga appear? Will this world be like the manga?! God, I hope not, especially since I've never really read the Adventures manga and I only know a few story bits and characters. I was panicking, internally. If this was the case then I mi-No, I would be screwed, big time.

But. You know what? I'll worry about that, later on, cause right now I'll hang out with Leaf and Green for now...

"So do you guys wanna play?", I said offering them to play with me.

"Sure! How about you Green?", Leaf said turning to her sister. I smiled at her enthusiasm.

"Yeah! So what are we playing, Red?", Green asked turning to me wondering what game we would play. I smiled brightly at her way as I've decided on the game we'll play.

"Let's play a game of tag outside, you in?", I said offering a game of tag. It was a simple yet fun game. They both happily agreed as we went out to the playground.

It was a simple open grass playground site located in the back of the daycare. There was the usual slide, seesaws, swings, and a small sandbox. I lead us to an open space where we'll play. I decided I'd go it and so our game of tag begins.

As the game started Leaf and Green started running away from me as I attempted to tag them, however, I wasn't just going to play this game for just fun. Why? Because I planned on building a good and possibly a great relationship with both of them. My reasons? Simple. If this version of Green were to be anything like her Adventure's counterpart then I was going to have to form a good relationship and make sure she would always remember me. Why? Cause if she was going to be kidnapped and trained by Team Rocket in the future then there's a good chance that if she remembers me then it'll be easier for me to convince her to change her thieving ways in the future. This is what I could do for now at least.

Anyway, back to me and the LeafGreen twins as we continued playing our game of tag. Both girls started splitting up as I made a quick decision to follow Green. I could easily tag one of them and continuously avoid if wanted to but I wanted to be closer to them so I took it easy for them. I slowly catch up to Green as I got closer. I lightly tap her just enough for her to notice before I turned and ran the opposite way from her as she started chasing me. I purposely slowed my pace so that she could catch up to me as I needed to make it seem fair to both her and Leaf.

I continued running from Green as I catches up with Leaf, however, Green managed to get close enough behind us as she tagged her sister making her it. Green and I quickly turn and run in the opposite direction as Leaf chased after us. It continued like this for a while before we both became tired and took a rest. I smiled and told them that I had a lot of fun with them as they told me they did too. I asked them if they wanted to hang out after school to which they happily said yes.

Soon enough recess ended and we both went back inside as class started once more and like before I tuned out most of what the teacher said and waited until class finally ended. I took a piece of paper and wrote my address to them and told them we could meet at my home to play. They agreed and we said goodbye for now as went to our respective parents.

I waited until my mother came to pick me up. I began telling her I made friends with Leaf and Green and told her we played together. She listened to every word I said and hugged me saying that she's proud of me for making friends. We went back home and my mother told my father that I made friends. He kneeled down to my level and said he was proud of me for making a friend to which I reciprocated with a simple 'Thanks'.

We had dinner and I went to the living room and watched some TV. Afterward, I turned off the TV and went to my room. I changed into my pajamas and went to sleep in my head.

HMM...

So he made friends with this world's Leaf and Green...

Now that's interesting...

I wonder how this will go?

Let's continue watching, shall I?

Non-Gen 1 Pokémon suggestion! (My Journey: Kanto Arc)

I am willing to accept one suggestion for a non-Gen 1 Pokémon from you guys! yochan123 has already given me his suggestion which I've accepted.

This is the second suggestion I'm asking from you all and here are some things to tell you all before making your suggestions:

1) It must NOT be a Pokémon from Gen 1. Any Pokémon from any other Region is eligible.

2) No Legendaries.

3) It must be in its basic/first stage form and nothing more. Baby Pokémon don't count.

Anyway, the one with the most suggestion will be the second non-gen 1 Pokémon for Red! See ya!
