A/N Don't expect me to re-write episodes except piecemeal. Like if I had a snowy story in an upcoming chapter my humanized Thomas, being a small boy, may not like his winter clothes. That's the nearest I'd get to a human equivalent of any canon plot.

It was a new day for everyone on the island. The people got ready for their planned activities and those with particular plans headed out to their Saturday destinations. The Hatts were getting ready for their day at the seaside. Thomas woke up first and bounced on his parents' bed to wake his mother. He wanted his breakfast.

"Mummy, I'm hungry!", the child squeaked.

"I shall have to get up, I guess", Jane said.

James and the twins woke up next, when their dad called to say breakfast was ready. Gordon was grumpy and muttered about not being a morning person. He wondered how his littlest brother could be so cheery in the morning. Henry was nicer in the morning than his twin brother and James was a mix. Some mornings he was happier and others he was a grouch. The family ate their breakfast and went out. Thomas chattered happily as they ate.

After finishing eating, Gordon told Henry, "We can play football if we find some other boys to play with here."

Henry said, "Perhaps James can play with us, too. If he wants to, that is."

Thomas just said "I shall play in the sand. Maybe build a giant sandcastle. It's going to be the biggest and best here. And then I'll splash in the sea." He went out with their parents, laughing and singing a little song about being on holiday. His brothers were headed out to play already.

James said "I'll be goalie, I guess. Then, I shall have less chance of getting dirty.", in reply to his older twin brothers asking him if he wanted to play football with them.

Thomas sat down on the beach, chattering and laughing to himself as he worked on his castle. He built a moat for his castle and added a railway near it. After finishing his castle, he splashed in the sea with another child, a little boy enjoying the seaside just like himself. The other boy struck up a conversation.

"Hello, I'm Peter Sam," said the other boy. "I live near a narrow gauge railway line and trainspot there."

Thomas told Peter Sam, "My daddy's controller of a standard gauge railway and my brothers and me like to spot Daddy's trains. I'm more of a tank engine guy than anything. I've got a train set, too. Just call us railfans because my brothers played with that set when they were younger, mostly. James, the middle brother plays with it some, but our older brothers, who are twins, prefer to trainspot."

The boys played in their respective ways until lunch and then they got on with the rest of their day. And so passed their seaside holiday. They went home and the boys' school holiday weeks passed until it was time for the new school year to begin.

A/N I read a book in which a British family went to Disney World and the kids, brother and sister, built an enormous sandcastle. Football means what's called soccer in my country. Not sure how good I am at British English words, but they're British, so I try though I'm not British. I don't know if there's more differences in their football/soccer terminology than what I addressed, but I know little about the game overall. However, I was given a soccer ball as a gift once.
