Chapter 2: Born of One, Here for All
A/N: Well, soon enough Izuku's getting One For All, and all hell will break loose then. What happens when the transferred power returns to the source? You'll be able to find out. Expect Izuku to be freaking out like crazy given how the transfer will happen.
Review Response:
SuperShadic2002: Glad to hear I'm your inspiration! I'll be sure to check out your works when you do return!
Izuku was in his room doing homework when there was a knock on the door. Heading to said door, who should he find but Toshinori Yagi in front of him. "Mr. Yagi? What are you doing here?"
"Have you checked the news?" asked the skeletal man.
"Uh… no?" said Izuku.
"Well, Yutapo Park was recently set on fire," said Toshinori gravely.
"Wait, Yutapo? What happened!?" asked Izuku.
"We're suspecting unsanctioned Quirk use, and, well, you were in the park and you have a fire Quirk," explained Toshinori.
"Oh… I knew I was forgetting something!" blurted Izuku.
"Hm? Are you saying you…" he trailed off.
"I… fell in a stream that runs through the park. I tried drying myself off with my fire Quirk but…" Izuku stopped, point made.
"I… see," said Toshinori, "Well, unfortunately that comes with a hefty fine and given you damaged government property, that may well land you in juvenile detention."
"I understand, sir," said Izuku.
"Note that I said may," Toshinori added. "Given this is your first major offense and there were no major casualties, the fine will probably suffice. My detective friend can give you the details on that."
"You'd do that, sir?" asked Izuku. "Thank you!" Without warning he hugged the frail man, eliciting a spurt of blood to flow from his mouth. Izuku, too, realized he felt a tingling. "Uh-oh."
"'Uh-oh?' What's going on, young Midoriya?" asked Toshinori.
"Uh… it's hard to explain but – WOAH!" Izuku suddenly flew backwards as Toshinori dropped onto the couch, and darkness consumed the teen's vision.
When he opened his eyes, Izuku was once again standing in the void, only this time there was a set of… thrones in front of him. All the thrones were filled, too, and when the other people in the room gazed up at him, a shouting match started.
Eventually Izuku interjected, causing the apparent leader to turn to him. "So, you're the ninth one, eh?"
"Ninth… what?" Izuku asked.
"Ninth One For All user," the man explained, not that it helped any.
"What does that mean?" asked Izuku.
"You have just unintentionally managed to obtain the most powerful stockpiling Quirk in the known history of Quirks," said the other man. "Yoichi Shigaraki, by the way. I was the first."
"Hi, Mr. Shigaraki, and wait…" Izuku paused. "Is Mr. Yagi… All Might?"
The only woman in the room nodded. "Indeed he is, young Midoriya. I'm Nana Shimura, 7th user and former teacher of Toshinori Yagi, or as you may know him, All Might."
"I know both sides, actually," Izuku noted. "For whatever reason Mr. Yagi let me get insider info on things All Might was doing."
"I think he may have wanted you as a successor after your first meeting with him," said Nana. "You've just… accelerated the process."
"About that…" said Izuku. "I think I have some kind of Quirk similar to All For One, if not All For One in and of itself. What does that mean?"
Yoichi sat up slightly. "Let me tell you a story, kid, and you'll learn exactly what it means." With that, Yoichi recounted the tale of himself and his older brother, the man soon to become All For One. He told of how supposedly being Quirkless, All For One defended him, pitied him, but then locked him in a vault in a misguided attempt to keep him safe, and then later granted him what should've been a useless Quirk: a simple power stockpiling Quirk, with no baseline to speak of. But Yoichi's hidden transfer Quirk bonded with the stockpile Quirk, and thus One For All was born. "Ever since that day, the bearers of the flame of One For All have battled with All For One until finally All Might managed to lock him up for good. But what does that say about you?"
Another man spoke up. "I sense a constant, dissonant presence within Midoriya. It feels oddly familiar, for some reason."
"You think him and All For One were related?" another, bulkier man asked.
Izuku commented, "He… kinda told me he was my dad."
"What the – Kid, don't just say that!" The bulky man shouted. "Also how'd he tell you? And when? And most importantly, why?"
"First off, it was in a void like this one, second, like yesterday, and third… I don't know. He kinda wanted me to join him, I think but he didn't exactly seem disappointed that I wasn't, so…" Izuku trailed off.
"Alright then, kid, what are you going to do?" asked a man with spiky hair reminiscent of Katsuki.
"Be a hero, all the way," said Izuku. "I'd already had a different Quirk to begin with, so…"
"Wait, really? What was it?" asked another man with a headband.
"Flamethrower; I can shoot fire from my hands," Izuku demonstrated.
"Huh, an actually powerful Quirk for once," said the quiet man in the 6th chair.
"I know, right?" said the muscly man again. "All these years we've had to get by with hard-to-use or annoying Quirks that may add something, but not much, and then suddenly All For One's kid shows up and is like, 'oh yeah I've got flame hands and All For One' and boom, now they're back together again. Oh, uh, name's Daigoro Banjo, by the way. Forgot to say that earlier."
"It's like a band reunion," said the man with the spiky hair. "Except the band is the two most powerful Quirks in the world."
"Does that make us groupies?" asked the man who'd sensed Izuku earlier.
"I guess?" said Yoichi. "Anyway, back on topic, it's good that you want to be a hero, since All For One may still be out there and now that All Might can't beat him down, you're going to have to."
"If you do manage to talk him down, so much the better," added Nana.
"Well apparently I have an adopted older brother named Tomura Shigaraki," said Izuku, "And dad wants me to talk him down."
"I… see," said Nana. "What's his Quirk?"
"Decay, apparently," said Izuku. "Don't know how it works, but well…"
Suddenly Toshinori's vestige spoke. "Young Midoriya, I don't know what you did, but as of right now it doesn't really matter. What does matter is that I remember reading a report about 15 years ago that detailed the destruction of the Shimura residence. Parts looked like they'd disintegrated, and the son, Tenko, was missing. I don't know if that means anything or why I'm just now remembering this, but…"
"Wait, Tenko Shimura?" asked Nana. "I had a grandson?"
"And a granddaughter," said Toshinori. "Nice kids, though their dad was really bad."
"Ah… that's unfortunate." Nana said, before realizing something. "Wait, something doesn't add up. I mean, Tomura Shigaraki, Tenko Shimura?"
"If they're not related that's the weirdest coincidence on the planet," said Izuku. "But I just bet that they are. Maybe even the same guy, actually. My dad would know."
"Speaking of which," said Toshinori, "Do you mind finding him for me and confirming he's not doing anything suspicious?"
"Said he had a business trip to Mie Prefecture of all places," said Izuku. "Can't for the life of me figure out why – oh wait."
"What is it, kid?" asked Daigoro.
"I met a really nice girl yesterday named Ochaco Uraraka, she can turn off gravity on an object if she touches it with five fingers," said Izuku. "She's from Mie."
"Trying to ingratiate himself with the in-laws, eh?" Daigoro smirked. "Didn't think he had it in him."
"…Or he could use them to coerce your friend to work with him," said the head-band wearing man.
"I feel like if he needed Ochaco he'd probably just grab her himself," said Izuku. "Since he hasn't, he probably doesn't, and actually maybe he wants me to keep her around."
"Wait, how much does he know about her?" Yoichi asked.
"I… mentioned I saved her on the beach and let her hang out with me for a bit," said Izuku.
"Has he talked to you at all?" asked Yoichi.
"I went to All For One's mindscape and he seemed to want to cut a deal or something," replied Izuku.
Yoichi thought for a moment. "…What kind of deal?"
"He said that I was now officially heir apparent to his mostly legitimate corporate enterprise… as well as potential heir of the remnants of his criminal empire," Izuku explained. "As of right now Tomura's slated to lead the criminal side." He paused. "…Which dad wants me to stop."
"Odd choice given his previous villainy. Did he say why?"
"Poetic justice, apparently," Izuku said. "Letting the younger brother finally defeat the elder unlike you and himself the first time."
"Hisashi did always like his story tropes," Yoichi chuckled. "Well then, nephew, I think my brother and I are finally in agreement about something. Go get him, greenie."
"Is that because I'm green or new at this?" Izuku asked.
"Both," said everyone in unison.
"Huh. Well, Mr. Yagi, I'll… see you outside?" Izuku said.
"Indeed, young Midoriya," said Toshinori. With that, the mindscape faded.
Izuku blinked his eyes open and got up, before quickly kowtowing and shouting, "I'M SORRY FOR TAKING YOUR QUIRK, ALL MIGHT!"
"SHHHH!" cautioned Toshinori. "Not so loud! But well… I have to admit, you were right about me selecting you before." He laughed. "Honestly, I was half planning on giving it to you when I came here. Admittedly I figured you might need more physical training but that can come later."
"So… you're not mad?" asked Izuku.
"Well, maybe a little, but certainly not as angry as you may have expected," said Toshinori.
"OK good, because I was getting worried…" Izuku trailed off.
"Alright, now that that's cleared up, here's the plan: You've got… 8 months before the hero school entrance exams." Toshinori explained. "Normally I'd be a bit scared giving you such a powerful Quirk but given you have All For One you likely don't have much to worry about backlash."
"How bad could it have been?" asked Izuku.
"Your limbs may have exploded off your torso the moment you used it," Toshinori said gravely.
Izuku froze. "R-really!? H-how did you plan to get around that!?"
"THIS!" Suddenly a massive binder titled 'The All-American Dream Plan' slammed on the coffee table. "Hyperaccelerated physical fitness program designed by yours truly."
"Huh…" Izuku said. "Do I still have to do that?"
"Not all of it, but it's still a good idea," Toshinori said. "If you'll take a look…"
Izuku read through the binder, noticing images of… "Hey is that Takoba beach?"
"Yep! I was planning on having you clean it and work out at the same time!" Toshinori grinned. "It's stuff like this that's the true essence of heroics, you know!"
"I'll be glad to, Mr. Yagi!" said Izuku. "When do we start?"
"I like your gumption, young man!" Toshinori laughed. "As for your other question… Right now!"
With that, Izuku set to work on the beach, moving scrap metal, tires, broken appliances, and all sorts of other detritus that had piled up over the years, all while All Might took his load for the day away in his beat-up old pickup truck. It was hard, damn near back-breaking work, especially compounding with his studies when the summer was over. At one point, he'd been heading off to train when Katsuki stopped him. "Oi, nerd, where the hell have you been!?"
"Uh… Takoba beach?" Izuku said. "Why?"
"What the hell are you doing at the goddamn beach every day!?" Katsuki shouted.
"Training?" Izuku tilted his head. "You wanna come?"
Katsuki rolled his eyes. "Yeah, I'll go, see what kinda pussy shit you've been doing."
With that, the two boys went to the beach, and Izuku set right to work, causing Katsuki's jaw to drop to the floor. Hard. Deku's been benching ovens!? When the hell!? And is that All Might!? What's he doing here!? He growled in frustration. "Alright, Deku, what the fuck is this shit!?"
"Fitness regimen and community service all in one!" Izuku said with a smile. "Wanna get in on it?"
"Since when the hell did you know All Might!?" Katsuki shouted.
"How do you think I got access to every single piece of All Might merch in the past decade?" Izuku explained. "I met his Chief Secretary, and he said he liked my determination, so…"
"Indeed, young Bakugo!" said All Might from up on the boardwalk. "And if you want to try this exercise plan out, you can start today! I'll have an official version suited to your needs by tomorrow."
"Well, Deku, challenge accepted," Katsuki smirked. "I ain't gonna let you get ahead of me so goddamn easily. If you ain't gonna be scrawny, I'm gonna get jacked." With that, the blonde set to work hefting tires and old TVs and bringing them to the truck. He'd been tempted to try and melt stuff down but a stern look from All Might shut down that idea. By the end of the day he could feel the raw strain on his muscles as he staggered home, and while Deku was also ragged, Katsuki noticed he could still stand properly, if only just. The hag was waiting at the door for him, but after Katsuki said he'd been training with All Might she paused just before she slapped him, before clapping him on the back and telling him to keep at it. Katsuki grinned. Wasn't every day the hag liked something he did.
The next day, All Might had handed Katsuki the 'All-American Dream Plan: Big Stick Edition,' prompting the boy to ask what the hell the name meant. Izuku explained that 'big stick' came from former US president Theodore Roosevelt, who once said to 'speak softly and carry a big stick.' Katsuki shrugged. He wasn't a stick, he was a goddamn grenade, dammit. Still, with new found drive and a plan in mind, he too set to work in earnest.
By the end of the 6 months since Katsuki had joined up, Izuku had gone from nothing but skin and bones to being covered in muscles and having an 8 pack, while Katsuki upgraded from a 6 pack to an 8 pack and some of his muscles had begun to ripple. Slightly. During that time a lot more girls (and a number of guys) seemed to take notice, but Izuku was always too shy and Katsuki too abrasive to really do anything about it, especially given that at one point Ochaco had found out. That had been an awkward discussion. In the end, though, the three friends were walking to the wide blue gates of UA, ready for the exam and all that it entailed.
As Izuku ran through likely scenarios for the practical, he wasn't watching where he was going, however, and ended up walking into someone. That someone turned out to be a girl with odd jack-like extensions coming from her ears, who wheeled around and demanded, "Alright, who pushed me!?"
"S-sorry!" Izuku shouted. "I-I wasn't watching where I was going and I, well…"
"Alright, fair enough," said the other girl. "But seriously, keep your eyes up. Kyoka Jiro, by the way."
"Izuku Midoriya," he said. "The guy on my right's my best friend Katsuki Bakugo while the girl on my left is another friend, Ochaco Uraraka."
"Hey there!" Ochaco said. Katsuki merely grunted. After an elbow to the stomach, he added,
"If I run into you, just stay outta my way, extra."
Jiro glared at Bakugo, then asked, "He's your best friend? Seriously?"
"We… go way back, it's a long story," Izuku said.
"Whatever you say, man…" Jiro groaned.
Soon enough they were in the written examination rooms, and after two hours of answering all sorts of hero-related questions, the exams were collected and all examinees ordered to the auditorium and told to pick up a ticket on the way in.
Izuku got one labeled 'Beta,' as did Ochaco, while Katsuki got 'Alpha,' and Izuku then commented, "They're splitting us up so that friends can't work together."
"Didn't work for us," Ochaco grinned. "But still, how's all this going to work?"
Ochaco had her question answered when Present Mic walked on stage and started explaining the rules of the examination: it'd be 10 minutes of fighting off villain bots assaulting the testing grounds. Points were earned upon defeating bots, with the smallest Venator types worth 1, Victory types worth 2, and Imperators worth 3. Suddenly an examinee raised their hand. "EXCUSE ME, PRESENT MIC, SIR!" they shouted, and mumbles of 'he's a stick-in-the-mud,' 'stick up his butt more like,' and similar spread through the auditorium. "On the exam pamphlet and indeed in your presentation there is a 4th class of robot listed! Failing to acknowledge this is poor reflection on your abilities as an instructor!"
"Ah, examine 7111!" Present Mic turned to face them. "I see you've caught our zero-pointer, the Executor! As the name suggests, it's worth no points at all, and it's also huge, so if you find it, try not to engage. It'll be bad. Are there any other questions?"
"No, Mr. Present Mic. Thank you," the uptight student answered.
Present Mic nodded, then faced the entire auditorium. "ALRIGHT, WELL EVERYBODY, GET TO YOUR ASSIGNED BUSSES! GET OUT THERE AND REMEMBER: GO BEYOND!"
"PLUS ULTRA!"
After that everyone filed out, with Izuku and Ochaco hopping on a bus bound for Ground Beta, with around 50 other students aboard, so it was… packed, to say the least. As the bus drove over to the training area, a boy with spiky red hair took notice of the two. "Hey, name's Eijiro Kirishima! Who're you guys? And why does it seem like you know each other?"
"Izuku Midoriya," he said. "We met at Takoba beach last summer during that jellyfish attack."
"I'm Ochaco Uraraka," she said. "Izuku over here was nice enough to let me hang out at his place when all the trains back to Mie got held up."
"Really!?" Kirishima stared, then gestured for a fist bump. Izuku obliged. "Bro, that is so manly of you, man! What made you do it?"
"Hey, what can I say?" Izuku shrugged. "I'm a nice guy."
"The nicest!" Ochaco grinned.
"Aight, bro, I'm just gonna say," Kirishima paused, "That you are this generation's pinnacle of manliness, and I will strive to reach your heights."
"Huh." Izuku said. "Well, nice talking with you, Kirishima-kun!"
"Same with you, Midoriya-kun, Uraraka-kun! Hope you get in!" Kirishima said as they hopped off the bus. Izuku flashed a quick grin and Ochaco did a thumbs-up, and they headed inside.
Once all the examinees had entered, Present Mic shouted, "Alright, if we're all here… GO!"
"Uh… where's the-" Izuku started.
"There is no countdown, Izuku!" shouted Ochaco. "Come on!"
With that the two charged in, the rest of the students following close behind.
For the next 5 minutes Izuku found that his flames were a fair bit more powerful than they used to be, rapidly melting through entire swathes of the Venators' drones in one go, with the Victories' missiles (and he had to hope those were fake) being swatted out of the sky by the dozen. Even the massive laser cannons (and where was the funding for those?) of the Imperators could be taken offline with some precision flames. I could get used to this, he thought as he kept destroying bots and helping people get out of the way of others. But then, around the 6 minute mark, Izuku felt a dull thumping. He paused, looking around, and noticed that everyone else had too. "What's going on?" he asked to no one in particular, and all he got were shrugs.
But then someone screamed.
And like he'd done way back with the jelly kaiju, instead of running away, he ran toward the sound, subconsciously pouring more and more power into his legs to carry him faster and faster, until he realized what he'd run into.
The giant robot, clearly the zero-pointer, and apparently named Lusaneyo, if the name painted on the side was any indication, loomed over him, and just ahead he noticed a girl trapped beneath some rubble, slipping out of consciousness.
"Alright, here we GO!" he shouted as he launched skyward, fire engulfing his arms and shooting forward like a sideways volcano, and he began to think back to the words All Might had used to describe the power of One For All… it was a muscular flex, a clench, and then a release. Clenching his butt cheeks hard, he gathered strength in his right arm, inhaled, and roared, "YOSEMITE… SMASH!"
In the blink of an eye, the geyser of flame turned into a tidal wave of raw heat carried forth by an air current so strong it sheared the top off the building behind it, and consequently turned the head of the zero pointer inside out, while the fire spread through it, melting it down from both inside and out.
UA's staff who'd been assigned to observe the examination stared, completely at a loss for words at what had just happened. Present Mic quickly shook it off and shouted, "Looks like examinee 5626 has… annihilated zero-pointer Beta! Good on him, but be warned: By destroying the zero pointer, group B's exam has now been accelerated! 2 more minutes, folks!"
Izuku stared out at the utter… carnage he'd caused, but then stared down at the several dozen meters between himself and the ground and froze. That wasn't even mentioning the fact that he was fairly sure he'd damaged his ankles severely during his jump, and looking at his arm… the less said about that the better, he decided.
And he also realized he couldn't call for help, since the girl he'd ostensibly been trying to save had passed out during his stunt, and he gulped. What do I do, what do I do, what do I-
Out of nowhere Izuku was back in the mindscape again, and Nana got up and rushed toward him. "Hey, Izuku, was it?" He nodded. "Right, so we weren't planning on something like this so early, but as it turns out… all of our Quirks," she motioned to the other users, "Came with One For All. Mine's Float, which as you can probably guess is going to be really useful here."
"So I just… use it, right?" Izuku asked. "Uh, what's it feel like?"
"I sometimes floated to calm down, so…" Nana trailed off.
Izuku nodded again. "Got it, just gotta keep calm…"
With that, Izuku was back in the real world, and he took a long, deep breath in and out. Attempting to calm down, he thought about things that made him feel nice and safe and other, similar things, like his mom, or All Might, or whatever, and soon enough, he felt himself slowing down. He was a bit shaky, sure, but he was absolutely slowing down.
Soon enough, he was falling at a reasonable speed, and touched down, before checking on the girl still trapped in the rubble. High on adrenaline and with a need to save coursing through him, he pushed through the pain in his ankles and arm and yeeted a slab of concrete away, and slowly pulled her out, and moved her away from the smoldering wreckage. As he ran, he heard the buzzer signaling the end of the exam, and froze. That wasn't 10 minutes, was it!? He was frantic, but soon enough a teacher came down to meet him. "Exam's over, kid," they said, and Izuku recognized them as Vlad King. "I'll take this young lady from here. You, are getting on a stretcher and meeting our nurse." Izuku nodded, laying down on the stretcher shutting his eyes. He needed a nap.
As he drifted off, he woke up in the mindscape, and said, very simply, "Are all of your Quirks going to show up?" he asked.
"We assume so, yes," said Yoichi. "Banjo over there was up for giving you Blackwhip but in your current situation we figured Float would work better."
"Offer's still on the table, kid," Daigoro said. "You want it, it's yours."
"I'll hold off for now, Mr. Banjo," said Izuku. "I just hope that other girl is OK…"
"It feels more and more like Uraraka was right about you, Midoriya," said the second user. "You really are a harem anime protagonist."
"Not you too! And wait, why you of all people!?" Izuku asked. "You're the edgy loner!"
"I resent that," said the second, "but you're not wrong. In any case I suppose it's as good a time as any for you to wake up and check."
Izuku did just that. Slowly rising up off the cot, he glanced around, noticing that there were a few others in the room with him. The girl from before was among them, and he off-handedly noted that his stirring had caused a few others to get up too. "Uh, hey everyone."
"Hang on, are you the zero-pointer kid?" One of them asked.
"Yeah, why?" Izuku replied.
"Dude, that was awesome!" The asker, a pink-haired and pink-skinned girl, fist pumped. "I was in Ground Gamma and I could feel the force from the shockwave you made from all the way over there. I'm Mina Ashido, by the way! What's your name?"
"Izuku Midoriya," he said. "Nice to know I made a splash."
"Yo, that wasn't a splash, that was an eruption!" another kid interjected. "Seriously, I'm pretty sure that giant fire wave you made had to have been like 100 meters wide or something nuts like that. Oh and before I forget, name's Sen Kaibara. Nice meeting you, Midoriya-kun."
Then Kirishima cut in. "Bro, that was you in there!? Geez, how do I even compete with that!?"
"Uh… lots of training and clenching your butt cheeks," Izuku said. "Oh, and try to not get the backlash."
"Huh," Kirishima shrugged. "Wait, backlash?"
"Yeah, it's why I'm in here, actually," Izuku explained. "When I took out the zero-pointer I kinda… went beyond. A little too far beyond. The jump broke my ankles and the punch broke my arm. I had to stall by using heat to slow my descent, which also took a lot out of me. Not to mention I didn't get to the girl I was doing all of this for in time…"
"Was it Uraraka-kun?" Kirishima asked.
"Uh, no, actually she's in that cot there," Izuku said, gesturing.
"Bro, your manliness just tanked like 10%." Kirishima shook his head. "Going playboy? I thought you were better than that."
"Wha – Hey, it's not like that!" Izuku shook his head no vigorously. "I was just, y'know, right place, right time, and there was someone who needed help! I'm not saying no to that!"
"Alright, bro, if you say so," said Kirishima, unconvinced. "Who is that girl, anyway?"
"Uh… Name tag says… Yui Kodai," Izuku replied. "She seems nice enough…"
"You think she made it in?" Mina asked.
"Well I may have slightly screwed some of her chances by cutting the exam time down by 2 minutes," Izuku said. "Maybe I'll see about if I can transfer some of mine? I know I got plenty."
"Do it, bro!" Kirishima said. "That's what a true man would do!"
Soon enough the students, minus Yui, had been cleared to leave. But something odd seemed to happen as Izuku left. Nobody noticed, given it was so faint, but a thing green tether seemed to appear between the two. As Izuku stepped out, the tether broke.
That night, Izuku went to bed as usual and, as was becoming something of a norm, he appeared in the mindscape once more. Only this time, it was All For One's. "Hey, dad, what's going on?"
"Nothing much, son," All For One said, gesturing for Izuku to sit. "Though the oddest thing happened today. I swore I could feel a Quirk starting to come in, but then it… stopped."
"I… think I might know who that was," Izuku said. "I saved a girl during the entrance exam today, carried her for a little while, and I was kinda running on fumes, so…"
"So you accidentally took her Quirk," All For One finished. "Think you can give it back?"
"Not unless you can find one Yui Kodai within like a week, no," Izuku said.
"Yui Kodai, eh?" All For One shrugged. "I'll see what I can do."
Izuku was about to ask how his dad would help, then stopped. "I'll… leave you to it."
True to his word, about a day later there was a knock on the door and who should be standing there but Yui Kodai. "Uh, hey, Kodai-san," Izuku said. "I… accidentally did something to you when I saved you… it's not what you think, by the way!"
Kodai raised an eyebrow, but said nothing.
"Well, anyway, I… may have taken your Quirk by accident." Izuku said. Yui's eyes widened. "Sorry about that… But anyway I can give it back to you! Just gotta grab hold of part of you, like your hand or whatever. Do you mind?" Kodai shook her head. "OK, good, good. Uh, word of warning, you may feel a little tingly when I do this, so…" And with that, Izuku transferred Kodai's Quirk back over. As he did so, however, he found himself yanked back into the mindscape without warning.
"What the – Hey, dad, what's going on!?" Izuku shouted.
"Nothing too serious, it's just that…" he paused, "As I was looking into Kodai, I noticed she had a few relatives you may have heard of."
"Why couldn't you have just said this over the phone?"
"Too insecure. Nobody gets into this place," said Hisashi. "Anyway, as it turns out Kodai's actually your friend Ochaco's cousin! And that up-and-coming blonde hero, Mt. Lady? She's apparently Kodai's aunt."
"Huh. That all you got for me, dad?" Izuku asked.
"Well, no. I pulled you in because I noticed that even after the transfer finished, part of Kodai's Quirk Factor is still stuck in you right now," Hisashi commented. "As is Ochaco's. And Bakugo's and that other girl's from all those years ago. Which is odd, since that's not what happened to me at all. I hadn't seen it before now, but something happened recently that changed that. So what was it?"
"Uh… I can't tell you," Izuku said flatly.
"Don't lie to me, Izuku, I can sense this place is getting a bit overcrowded." Hisashi said. "In fact, I sense presences I haven't felt in a long time." Izuku gulped. "Well then, son, when were you going to tell me that you have One For All?"
A/N: Well, that cat's outta the bag. But what does All For One mean by the residual Quirk factors? And what will it mean for Izuku? You'll have to read on to find out! Oh, and as for Yui: I like Yui, simple as that. Not too sure what the roster for 1-A's gonna be, but I'm thinking I'll switch things around and have Yui on it. Oh, and since she knows about Izuku's Quirk transferring now, well… that'll be another person who might spill. Because the League is coming. And when it arrives, things will be bad.
Also, for the bot names: Those are (almost) the official names, I've just swapped them around in order to better fit their respective roles and unique functions, which should be more obvious if you know your Star Destroyers. (Oh, and the particular zero-pointer name is also a reference. See if you can figure out to what!)
Addendum 2: Yui being related to Ochaco and Mt. Lady is a reference to how both Ochaco and Yui were characters sprung off of Mt. Lady's concept, as well as the fact Yui's Quirk is similar in activation to Ochaco's (5 finger touch)
