A/N: And now it's time for… the USJ! With way more heavy hitters this time around… and Nomu's not gunning for All Might to start with, so we've got another complication. But of course, All For One will know exactly what's up with Shigaraki, which will be… interesting. Certainly going to be one hell of a conversation starter, anyway.

It was now the end of Class 1-A's first week at UA, and after some shenanigans picking their class representatives (end result was Yaoyorozu as class president with Iida as vice-president; Izuku had gotten more votes but had given up the position after the two other candidates proved their better leadership skills) they had been told to suit up to head to the USJ.

Izuku's costume had of course been trashed pretty extensively by the move he'd pulled during battle training, but a few quick repairs meant that while it wasn't a full-body suit, it did still cover his torso and upper limbs. A pair of replacement gloves coupled with his signature red sneakers completed the look, which he'd joking labeled costume Uno. As he stepped onboard the bus, he sat down, only for Tsuyu to pop a rather… interesting question.

"Hey, Midoriya, I kinda noticed that you can, like, Smash things like All Might, kero. What's up with that? Bit fishy if you ask me, kero."

"Oh, uh, so my Quirk's neat in that it's not like a lot of other fire Quirks," Izuku said. "Basically it doesn't take my own body heat to ignite stuff, it sorta… draws in latent energy from my surroundings. If I hold it long enough I get, well, eruptions, I guess."

"Yeah, but why the whole 'SMASH!' thing, kero?" she asked.

"Uh… I'm kind of a really huge All Might fanboy… like the biggest in history," Izuku said sheepishly. "I have literally all of his merch from the past 12 years."

"Deku-kun's not lying about that," said Ochaco. "I hung out at his place once and let me tell you, it was weird being in his room. Those things stare into your soul, I swear…"

"You get used to that, Pink Cheeks," Bakugo scoffed.

"Makes sense, I guess, kero," Tsuyu said. "Anyway, you guys think All Might will be at the USJ?"

"I thought he would," Izuku said, "Looks like he's running late though…"

"Hopefully he's just using his time saving other people," said Kendo.

Before Izuku could comment, the bus stopped in front of the gates to the USJ, where standing outside was the Space Hero, Thirteen. "Hey kids, how's it going?"

"Omigosh it's Thirteen," Ochaco half-babbled. "They're so cool!"

Thirteen gave a thumbs-up to the gravity girl, then continued, "Well, everybody, welcome to the Unforeseen Simulation Joint, or USJ! Here, you'll spend plenty of time getting to know all sorts of disaster scenarios and situations, and, more importantly, how to handle them with your Quirks!" Pausing for a moment, they said, "Now, who can tell me what's rule number 1 with Quirk usage?"

"Always be mindful of your surroundings!" said Ochaco, "Like with your Black Hole!"

"Exactly!" Thirteen grinned. "Now, for those who don't know, my Quirk, Black Hole, lets me create, well, a black hole, capable of sucking in anything nearby and voiding it out of existence. As such, I have to be very careful with how I use it, since that could be, well, me, or even worse, a bystander." To demonstrate this point, the space hero sucked up a nearby tree and showed it disappearing into a black hole she summoned from a fingertip. "Everyone understands now, right?" Nods from the group said yes. "Alright, well, let's head inside!"

And so 1-A followed Thirteen into the massive dome, but as Thirteen explained the different zones of the USJ, Jiro realized she could hear something. "Uh, Thirteen, I'm getting these weird vibrations from down in the center…" The two pro heroes there, Aizawa and Thirteen, turned in the direction Jiro's jacks were pointing, and then they froze.

"Good catch, Jiro," said Aizawa, before he turned around and said, "Alright kids, get back! I don't know how, but we have actual villains on the premises!"

"Wait, but isn't there an alarm-" began Sero but their homeroom teacher cut them off.

"There should be, but that's not important! Kaminari!"

"Sensei!" said the electric teen.

"See if you can't get a signal out," said Aizawa, donning his goggles and readying his scarf.

"On it, Mr. Aizawa!" he responded, before attempting to use his special earpiece to contact somebody.

"What should the rest of us do?" asked Momo.

"As I said earlier, get back!" Aizawa shouted. "Outside, if preferable! I'll handle these guys!"

"But there's 10 of them! And they look pretty strong to boot," Kaibara retorted.

Aizawa turned back around, countering, "Doesn't matter, I'm the adult here! Now GO!"

With that the students began to beat a steady retreat, but then one of the villains spoke. "Sincere apologies for the intrusion, terrible manners, I know. In any case, I am Kurogiri, humble servant of the League of Villains, and today is the day UA will know our fury. My colleagues, I trust you can handle these ruffians for me?" Suddenly inky black tendrils reached out from the fog that formed the butler's (?) body, racing towards the students, and oddly, ignoring the two faculty. Aizawa swore under his breath, even as Thirteen attempted to throw Kurogiri off-balance with a black hole.

Unfortunately, the attempt failed spectacularly, as the manservant villain suddenly grasped the black hole with a tendril… and warping half of it right next to Thirteen, causing the space hero's suit to slowly tear itself apart. Terrified, they shut off the black hole, but the damage was done: their suit was in tatters and the move had left Aizawa distracted just long enough for a few tendrils to reach some of the slower students… and then when the fog cleared around them, they were gone.

By this point Aizawa was livid, and so he decided now was as good a time as any to take the offensive, while Thirteen attempted to crawl away before one of the other villains got to her. Izuku, seeing the carnage just one of the villains was wreaking, realized that they had to do something, and so he shouted across the way, "Mr. Aizawa! We're coming into help!"

The disheveled pro didn't even miss a beat as he said, "Leave and get help! One of you, go do that!"

Of course, by this point 1-A had done that; more specifically, Iida was tearing his way down the road back to UA's main building, Kaminari's comms having turned out to be jammed. With not many other viable options, the first years had decided they may as well join the fight, if only to keep the pressure on long enough for more heroes to arrive.

Now, Aizawa had realized this too, so he decided, "Alright, you know what, fine! Kids, free reign to use your Quirks, starting now!" And the moment he said this, all hell broke loose.

See, up until then most of the villains hadn't actually been engaging; Aizawa was too grounded of a hero for Stain and his disciples to see reason to attack him, and Kurogiri was, well, Kurogiri; he lived to serve, and so far had not been given orders to engage either. This left Shigaraki, Moonfish, Muscular, Magne, and Lady Nagant, and so far his capture scarf and some well-timed Quirk blocking had meant that the underground pro had stayed in the fight for a lot longer than expected.

However, with 1-A joining in, or 4/5s of it, anyway, (Kaibara, Mina, Jiro, and Koda had gotten caught in the fog and Iida was outside the USJ) the rest of the villains decided they'd get things really started. Dabi initiated the opening salvo with a massive wave of blue fire, forcing the frontrunners to attempt to change course or be horribly burned. When it dissipated, they realized a few of the students had actually made it over the wall of fire… which left them wide open to getting snagged by Kurogiri. With that, Izuku, Bakugo, Tsuyu, and Ochaco, all disappeared, leaving the other students stunned, since Izuku being gone was bad. Like, unbelievably bad.

Still, they didn't have time to contemplate, as the fog reached out once more and the other villains began carving a path toward the students, forcing them on the back foot and attempting to keep things together… and it showed. One by one, then two by two, the students were all sucked into the fog, sending them all sorts of places within the USJ, and then the villains began following suit. Aizawa attempted to shut down Kurogiri to prevent them from doing so, but all he got from that was a haymaker from a hulking black monstrosity that left him in the dirt. Shigaraki actually sighed at that, saying, "You know, Eraserhead, you were always cool to me. Kinda sucks I've gotta take you down, but at least it's good XP. Now, Nomu?" The beast turned to its leader. "Wipe them out." With that, it leapt in the air toward one of the zones, ready to take the kids down.

When Izuku could finally see once more owing to the dissipating fog, he realized he'd found himself stuck within the dusty, rubble-strewn Ruins Zone, with Kodai and Shoji along with him. The three huddled together, Kodai shrinking down several large chunks of concrete and rebar to use as weapons, with Shoji preparing to listen for any incoming threats. Suddenly he noted a distinct crumbling sound emanating from behind them on their left side, and motioned accordingly. Unfortunately, given the state of the building they were currently in, they didn't have many places to go, but that was when Izuku had an epiphany: "Hang on, they don't know our Quirks." The other two looked at him, confused. "Alright, so, if I were the League, and if I knew our Quirks, I would make sure to not leave someone like Tsuyu in the Flood Zone or Kaibara in the Landslide Zone." They nodded in understanding, and Izuku went on. "Now, Kodai, you've been warped to a place that gave you essentially infinite ammo, and Shoji, you can just shove larger pieces of rubble aside and listen through the walls, so clearly they can't know. The only exception is, I guess, me, but that's for a different reason I don't want to get into." The other two shrugged, the impending combat scenario leaving little room for thought about anything else.

Unfortunately, the explanation given had allowed the approaching villain enough time to approach, and as the final wall crumbled, the three students stood face-to-face with a man with far too many hands, and not in the way Shoji did.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't the party leader," the man said, and behind the hand on his face, they knew he was grinning directly at Izuku. "Call me Shigaraki, by the way. Sensei told me about you, you know? Said you were a plot-relevant NPC and you couldn't be harmed or whatever." He paused, glancing at the other two students. "But he didn't say anything about you two. So I'm going to grab as much XP from this encounter as I can get." With that he bolted forward much faster than a man with his physique was supposed to be capable of, reaching out a hand to grab Kodai… only for Shoji to send out a few arms to stop him. To their horror, those arms turned to dust in front of their eyes, leaving the tall teen with several nubs, completely useless at that moment. Kodai rapidly expanded a small pebble into a barrier, but that crumbled to nothingness in a few seconds too, and then the man with the hands grabbed her arm, very careful to leave his pinky off. "Alright, kids, one wrong move and she gets it!" He shouted, and realizing they just didn't have any options, Izuku and Shoji both stopped.

Shigaraki was about to start talking, but Izuku cut him off. "Shigaraki, you said? Just wondering, but who is this Sensei you're talking about?"

"Why the hell do you care, you All Might otaku?" retorted Shigaraki. "And don't deny it, I saw your entrance exam footage!"

"Well, let's just say I know a thing or two about dealing with Shigarakis," Izuku said with a smirk.

Shigaraki did a double-take. "No… no, it can't be!"

"Midoriya-kun, what's this guy talking about?" asked Shoji. "Actually, what are you talking about?"

"Alright, so, explanation time, I guess," Izuku said, eyes firmly on Shigaraki's pinky. "Kodai, you actually know this already, but basically… my Quirk isn't just energy transfer. It's Quirk transfer."

"That… makes sense, actually," said Shoji. "Any family basis for it? Sounds like the kind of Quirk that doesn't just pop up on its own…"

"Yeah, it's actually my dad's Quirk," said Izuku. "My dad being Hisashi Midoriya, formerly Hisashi Shigaraki."

Shoji blinked. "Wait, you're not saying…"

"I think you know exactly what I'm saying," Izuku nodded. "Hey there, Tomura-nii, how's it going?"

For a short while everyone stopped for a second, and then Shigaraki started laughing. "Oh my God, this is just…" He paused, getting the laughs out of his system. "It's kinda cliché, isn't it? I mean, me, the ruthless villain, you, the wannabe heroes, the girl here who's trapped because of course she is, and then you drop a family reveal because why the hell not?" Suddenly he went dead serious.

"But let's say that is true," he said. "What're you gonna do about it, huh? Try and stop me?"

"That was the goal in the first place, but dear old dad gave me a few… pointers," said Izuku, readying a gout of flame.

"What, he told you about my nonexistent weak points?" shrugged Shigaraki. "Fat chance. Besides, let's just say that you're in for one hell of a boss rush, and you won't be fighting me."

The ground suddenly shook. "You're fighting him."

As the ground shook again, a hulking monstrosity burst through a wall, towering before them. "Say hello to Nomu, the tailor-made All Might murdering machine! He's going to have fun with you two. Oh, and for good measure…" Shigaraki took another hand out from… somewhere, they had no clue, and shoved it onto Kodai's face. "Normally I don't give out presents to heroes, but Sensei thought it was a special day. That hand there was my grandma's, he gave it to me just so I could give it to you!" Too stunned to say anything else, the teens watched as a portal opened up and Shigaraki jumped through it, leaving the students all alone against an unstoppable monstrosity.

A/N: Probably shouldn't have done that, Izuku… But anyway, tune in next time to see just how badly Nomu claps these kids! Or how bad it gets clapped. Possibly both, who can say?
