"Bluestar, are you out of your mind?!" the leader of Thunderclan takes a deep breath to calm her nerves. She opens her eyes to stare at the cat who was glaring at her.

"I don't see the problem Robinwing..you were an outsider as well, brought to us when you were older than the kitten that may be coming..if it has to do with the fact that she is a Toy must I remind you that Fuzzybush was also a Toy before he joined the Clan?"

The reddish brown she-cat wince while glaring at the ground. Once a rogue, she was found injured in their territory by a fox. While healing she learned their ways and asked to join. Pinestar, the leader at the time granted her wish and gave her the name Robinwing. She took well to Clan life..but many would talk behind her back about her past so thought that if she gave birth to kits that did well then that was proof that she was good enough for th Clan..the only cat at the time was Fuzzybush, who unknowingly to Robinwing was found as a kit abandoned near the Settlement.

They did have three kits, Cherrylight, Chestnutshade and Dustpaw. Bluestar tries not to think about what happened to Dustpaw a moon before his warrior assessment. What was found out about Tigerclaw and his training from Thistleclaw..both toms were still talking to Thrushflight and Rosetail...it was lucky enough that Chestnutshdae was still able to become a Warrior..

"I say give the kit a chance," Patchbelly speaks out, "This isn't the first time an outsider older than four moons came into the Clans. Rockclaw and Clawstrike of ShadowClan were both Toys to the Twolegs," there were mutters of agreement to that. "And they become fine Warriors for ShadowClan," he licks his shoulder where a scar laid, "I should know!" which made many of the cats around him purr in amusement.

"And don't forget Sootfrost of WindClan..she was from the Settlement as well," Dappletail reminds them, "This isn't the first time we have an Outsider from the Settlement join the Clans and it won't be the last. If we didn't get new blood into the Clans then we wouldn't get any new kits in the Clan..they would all be born sickly and weak,"

Robinwing hisses in anger but even she had to agree, "But why now? We have five apprentices? Why do we need to bring in more now? She'll just be an extra mouth to feed. We also already have Weaseltooth and Violetspring to make up for new blood in the Clan!"

"Dustpaw is still healing from his wound," Spottedleaf explains as she enters the Chamber, "Both Graypaw and Ravenpaw are just starting their training and they are already behind what they should be at their ages. And while both Sandpaw and Bristlepaw are close to being Warriors, we still need more..I agree with Patchbelly..lets give this kit a chance to prove themselves," Spottedleaf looks to Bluestar with her amber eyes and Bluestar knows what Spottedleaf was thinking.

The Chamber grew quiet as they all stared at Bluestar. She sighs before looking at Patchbelly, "Can you go with Lionheart to bring the kit to the Clan?"

Patchbelly blinks but he nods his head, "Of course," he smiles "I definitely want to see the kit that gotten your interest Bluestar,"

Amber kneads the soft grass in the same meadow that she met the ThunderClan cats. Her tail lashes in her nervous state. After she left the woods last night she slept in her garden since her Twolegs had locked the door. After she woke up she looked for Princess but couldn't find her sister, probably doing BloodClan stuff. The only difference is that not only did she have her collar but now a green bandana wrapped around her neck. From what her grandmother told her it was a courting gift that her father gave her dad. It had cardinal feathers braided into it with an amber that keeps it together. For some reason the twolegs were never able to see it.

Amber sighs, pawing at the amber trying not to think of the dream she had last night. She was hunting in the forest again, about to pounce on a rabbit when she felt a burning gaze on her pelt. When she had looked up there were four pairs of eyes staring at her, along with another pair that had faded a bit..

She looks up, pulling from the memory as her ear fur catches the sound of breaking twigs. She looks around trying to see anything, opening her mouth to see if her scent glands could catch anything. Bluestar, Graypaw and Briarpaw's scents were faded but Lionheart's scent was stronger now.

"Lionheart?" She mews out and then squeaks when the golden tabby emerges from the bushes behind her. She glares up at him as he chuckles at her, "Well that was better than I thought. But you still have a lot to learn, even the tiniest Clan kit knows when another cat is nearby,"

Amber looks up at him in confusion which makes him chuckle, "Are you sure I'm the only one here?"

Blinking at this, Amber sniffs again. Her green eyes widen when a new scent enters her nose, stronger than the faded scents, "There's someone with you.."

"That's right," meowed Lionheart as a black tom with white patches strides into the clearing. Amber couldn't help but stiffen at the sight of the tom. While not big as Lionheart he shows the signs of his hard life. His yellow eyes stare down at Amber which makes her flatten her ears and tense her muscles in preparation for a fight.

"Relax little one, we are just here to guide you into our camp," the tom says with a purr as he stretches his nose to take in her scent.

"This is Patchbelly," Lionheart introduced, "One of ThunderClan's senior Warriors," he then blinks at the bandana that Amber has wrapped around her neck, "Where did you get that?"

Amber dips her head in greeting at Patchbelly before she turns back to Lionheart, "It was a courting gift from my father. It used to belong to my papa before his death.." Lionheart blinks at this with wide eyes before he looks to Patchbelly who shakes his head as he stands up, "We can speak more once we are in camp," Patchbelly promises before without warning he leaps away into the undergrowth, Lionheart quickly following. Jumping in surprise, Amber scrambles to her paws and follows as quickly as she could.

"Goodbye Princess.. hopefully I'll meet you again,"

Amber had a hard time following the two and they made no allowances for her. Amber was nervous, what if she couldn't find them? But then she blinks when she sees the ghost cat that was with Bluestar the other night looking at her. His blue eyes stare at her before he motions with his tail for her to follow him. With the help of the ghost Amber didn't lose her way, catching quick flashes of white from Patchbelly's pelt.

Passing through sharply fragment pine trees, there were only two moments that Amber really struggle with. One was when she had to scramble paw by paw over a fallen tree while they had cleared in a single leap. The other time was when Amber saw them jump over a deep gully that was made by one of the Tree-Eaters. Amber had heard it often from her garden nest and Fury had told her horror stories about how only the Twolegs could control them. Knowing she wouldn't be able to leap over it, Amber with narrow eyes wades through it, ignoring the uncomfortable wetness that soaked her belly fur.

She ignores the Ghost's chuckles at her discomfort as she finally catches up with the two Warriors. They were waiting for her on a rock that rested on the edge of a small ravine. She skids to a halt staring up at them with wide eyes. She blinks as her head begins to fog and she shakes it, something..was trying to make her turn around..she narrows her eyes at the two.

"Well..you sure do have potential..I thought for sure that the Ward Stone would have made you turn around," Patchbelly saids with a curious expression. Amber blinks in confusion.

"Ward Stone?"

Lionheart nods, "Each Clan has one..gifted to them by the Four Gods..it keeps Twolegs from finding our camps along with discouraging the other Clans from entering,"

"Doesn't stop them from trying," Patchbelly meows with a chuckle before he looks at Amber, "With the Ward Stone affecting you that means we are close to our camp,"

Amber strained to see any signs of life through the fog in her head-moving leaves, a glimpse of fur among the bushes but her eyes saw nothing but the same undergrowth that covered the rest of the forest floor.

"Use your nose, little one. You won't be able to see it with your eyes right now," Patchbelly explains.

Closing her eyes, Amber takes a deep breath. She was surprised by how different everything smelled. She smelled many cats, they had the same scent of Lionheart and Patchbelly..but at the same time they also smelled so different. It was also stronger, speaking of many cats.

"I...I can smell them," she announces, opening her eyes to see Lionheart and Patchbelly exchanging amused glances.

"If you are accepted into the Clan, you will soon learn each cat-scent by name," Lionheart meows before he nimbly jumps down the boulder and pushes his way through a thick patch of gorse. Amber blinks but Patchbelly nudges her with his muzzle and he follows with the black-and-white warrior taking up the rear. Her side scraped against the prickly gorse as they went down the slope of the ravine. Looking down, Amber notices the grass beneath her paws was flattened. "This must be the main entrance," she thought to herself as they emerged into a clearing.

Green eyes widen in wonder at the sight before her. The ground at the center was bare, hard earth, shaped by many generations of cats. In the center of the clearing was a huge boulder. But that didn't keep Amber's attention for long as she moved her head around looking at everything. The ravine was huge, able to hold many cats, on the sides, trees grew and when she looked up she could see eyes staring at her from within the leaves. They weren't the only eyes staring at her, many cats who were either sitting alone or in groups looked at her with curiosity. What made Amber's eyes widen was the small bundles of wood that were burning. "They..they can make fire?"

"Just after sunhigh, when the day is hottest, it is time for Sharing Tongues," Lionheart explains looking down at her with amusement.

"Sharing Tongues?" Amber looks up at him, wanting to know more.

"Clan cats always spend time grooming each other and sharing the news of the day," Patchbelly explains, smiling at her. He was glad that the kit wanted to know more, "We call it Sharing Tongues. ITs a custom that binds the members of the Clan together."

"Daddy! Daddy's back!"

Amber looks up and her eyes widen as four kits emerge from an impenetrable-looking tangle of branches and ferns. One of them was a black tom with a white fae and chest, copper eyes shining as he lead a charge. He was followed by a pale gray tabby molly with black stripes and white paws, a pale golden molly with a fluffy tail and a small white tom. They all charged at a pure white tom with scars on his back, who purrs as he was knocked over by the four kits.

Amber blinks at this. She suspects that white tom was the sire of these kittens but she never actually saw a Sire wanting to play with them. Most House Cats either had kittens because their twolegs wanted them to..which is how her papa got his first Litter. The Twolegs made him and Aunt Quince mate and they had Luna, Tommy, and Filou even though Aunt Quince and Aunt Nutmeg raised them until the Twolges took them away when they were four Moons old..the same with Amber and her siblings. She shakes her head thinking that maybe her papa was right that her father would have loved them as a pale ginger she-cat emerges with tired yellow eyes but happiness shines in them as well.

"Now remember kits no biting your father's tail," she meows at them which they mew in agreement before she walks over.

Lionheart nods his head at the tabby, now that Amber could see them together looked a lot like him, "If you haven't realized, over there is the Nursery where the kits are cared for. And this is Goldenflower, my sister who is our Head Monarch,"

Goldenflower smiles at Amber with kindness in her green eyes, "So you are the one that Bluestar in interested," she eyes the bandana around her neck, "I can see why,"

Amber shuffles her paws as her ears swirled toward the bushes. While she couldn't see through the knot of prickly branches, she could hear the mewling of several kittens from within. "How is Frostshine?" Lionheart asks, pulling Amber from her thought, "Are they and the kittens ok? Do I need to get them more prey?"

Goldenflower chuckles, "They are fine dear brother. Frostshine is just resting now and they won't need more prey until they wake up,"

Lionheart nods his head before looking at Amber, "The care of our kits is shared by all of the Clan," meowed Lionheart. "All cats served the Clan. Loyalty to the Clan is the first law in the warrior code, a lesson you must learn quickly if you wish to stay with us," Amber nods her head, wondering what he meant by Code when her nose catches the scent of Bluestar. She turns her head to see the blue-ginger she-cat emerge from the shadow of the large boulder.

Bluestar purrs at the sight of seeing Amber, not even giving a glance at the bandana around her neck, "So she came,"

"It seems so Bluestar," Goldenflower chuckles, sending Lionheart a glance, "And if I remember Lionheart speaking last night, he was convinced she wouldn't," Lionheart huffs while Amber gives him a hurt glance.

"What did you think of her?" Amber notices the twitch of Bluestar's tail.

"She kept up well on the return journey," Patchbelly speaks up from where he sat behind her, having stayed quiet the whole time, Amber suspected he didn't like talking much, "Despite her puny size."

"She was also able to push the fog away from the Ward Stone," Lionheart mentions which makes Bluestar turn to him, "She is also strong for a Toy,"

"So it's agreed?" Bluestar looks to both Lionheart and Patchbelly and smiles when they nod, "Then I will announce her arrival to the Clan," Amber watches Bluestar leaped onto the boulder and yowled, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here beneath the Highrock for a Clan meeting!"

Her call brought all the cats trotting towards her, them sitting on the sandy ground that surrounded the boulder. Amber stayed sitting where she was, flanked by Goldenflower and Lionheart. She shuffles her paws on the sandy ground as the cats look at her before looking expectantly up at their leader. Goldenflower licks her ears to calm her down.

Amber's eyes brighten as she sees Briarpaw sitting next to a young tortoiseshell she-cat with small white paws. His green eyes catch the sight of her and he nods his head. Graypaw was there too, sitting beside a large dark tabby tom, his face scarred from many battles. Amber freezes when his amber eyes catch her green one. Feeling her pelt heat up at the stare she turns her gaze to Bluestar.

Bluestar waited for them all to still before she began to speak, "ThunderClan needs more Warriors. While we have fine Apprentices some are behind their training due to Eriaus' Tears during Leafbare. It has been decided to take in an outsider to train as a warrior,"

Lots of cats begin to mutter at this, some looking at a large black cat with fur standing on end and two other cats. One with black and white fur with an overbite and another, an orange tabby with white splotches. Bluestar silence them with a firm yowl, "I have found a cat who is willing to become an apprentice of ThunderClan,"

"Luckily enough to become an apprentice," Amber's ear twitches and she cranes her neck to see a reddish brown she-cat glaring at her with amber eyes.

Bluestar ignores her, "Lionheart and Patchbelly have met this young cat, and they agree with me that we should train her with the other Apprentices,"

Now all eyes were on her making her fur prickle. She kneads the ground as she swallows nervously. Her heart begins to pulse and she knew they could smell her fear.

"Where does she come from?"

"Which Clan does she belong to? Maybe WindClan? She has a bandana?"

"What a strange scent she carries! That's not the scent of any Clan I know!"

The reddish brown she-cat then stands up yowling, "Look! She's wearing a collar! She's a Toy to the Twolegs!" her eyes narrow with hatred at Amber making everyone gasps, "I'm sorry Bluestar but I can't keep silent! We need wildborn cats in the Clan! Not this Toy who doesn't even know how to be a real cat!"

Goldenflower scoffs at the she-cat while the others begin to mutter, "That's Robinwing..she's one of the Senior Warriors and a part of the Clowder," she narrows her eyes, "And a total hypocrite if I ever saw one," she whispers to Amber as the black tom from earlier stands his copper eyes glaring at her.

"Robinwing if you remember I was born from the Settlement! Willowheart was born from the Settlement as well!"

Robinwing glares at the tom with anger in her amber eyes, "You were found abandoned as a kitten and don't know that life while Willowheart lived on her own for moons after she was thrown out. This Toy has known nothing but a spoil life! She knows nothing! Not how to survive! Not how to hunt! I bet when Leafbare comes she goes running back to her Twolegs!"

Amber's eyes widened when some cats started to mutter in agreement and Robinwing smiles at the fact that they were agreeing with her, "Your collar is a mark of the Twolegs! The noise from that stupid thing will not only alert any prey that you hunt but also our enemies, even if your stench doesn't!" but then she sneers at Amber, a cruel look grows onto her face, "But if you really want to join our Clan, then you have to prove yourself. Real Warriors don't let fear hold them back," she says before without warning leaps at her.

Amber yowls in pain staggering sideways and losing her footing as Robinwing claws at her pelt. Around her she could hear many of the cats crying out in shock and horror. Feeling the claws deep in her fur, rage fills her being along with desperation to prove herself. Soon she digs her own claws into Robinwing's fur and bites into her shoulder. Blood fills into her mouth as Robinwing hisses in pain. The two cats were locked in a screaming, withering tussle that flipped and somersaulted around the clearing. Through the mass of reddish brown fur and sand flying around, she could see Lionheart and Goldenflower trying to get close to them.

"Robinwing stop!"

"She's a kitten! She hasn't had any training!"

"Someone get her off! She's going to kill the Toy!"

But that was the thing, Amber felt no fear as she scratched and struggle. In fact, she felt the roaring of her blood in her ears, exhilaration and excitement. But soon Robinwing screeches as one of Amber's paws hits her ear, blood begins to soak Amber's paw. Blinking in shock Amber stares at the bloody torn ear along with the shoulder that was dripping blood onto the sandy ground. Robinwing, with hatred and rage lunges down to bite at Amber's throat much to the shock of the other cats. But instead of getting her throat, her jaws wrapped around Amber's blue collar. Choking at the tightness that wrapped around her throat, Amber began to writhe and twist but it made the tightness even worse. Panic clouds her mind as she retches and gulps for air, summoning all her strength she begins to pull away from Robinwing's grip. As black spots begin to appear in her vision she sees a Blue-gray ginger blurr coming towards them before a loud snap echoes in Amber's ear fur and she tumbles free.

Amber takes deep breaths as a tongue begins to lick at her ears, "It's ok..it's ok little one. Just breath..just breath.." Goldenflower's voice echoes and begins to calm Amber. Looking up she sees Bluestar glaring down at Robinwing. Her claws were out and covered in some sort of metal that glowed in the setting sunlight.

Her blue eyes glare with a fierce fire in them, "Robinwing..how long have you been in our Clan?" her tail lashes which makes Robinwing flinch, Amber's broken collar dangling from her mouth. Setting it down, she looks at her paws, "Well?" Bluestar hisses.

"Five Seasons Bluestar," she mutters, not looking to her leader.

"And in that time did Mumblesong ever teach you the Code?"

Robinwing looks up, anger still burning in her eyes, "Of course he did!"

"Then why did you attack a six moon old kitten! She hasn't had any training! The Warrior code states that no Cat must ever harm a kit. Never to ignore a kit in neglect a kit in pain or danger, either from another Clan or the Settlement! Why does she have to prove herself in her eyes by fighting? Any other Six Moon old kitten coming from the Nursery would just have an Apprentice Ceremony but she has to fight for her life?" Bluestar hisses in anger, "For this you are not only stepping down from the Clowder but are on Monarch duties until you learn compassion for kittens that aren't your own!" Bluestar looks to Goldenflower, "If she even looks dirty at any of the kits tell me,"

Goldenflower who was helping Amber up nods her head, "Of course Bluestar,"

"But Bluestar!" Robinwing called out, "What about Sandpaw! I can't just ignore her training!" a cream and red molly looks up from the crowd, eyes shining in dismay.

Bluestar rolled her eyes, which made a sandy gray tom next to a light brown molly chuckle a bit, "You will still be Sandpaw's mentor but you won't be allow to train her on her own..i am actually worried about what you may be training her if your first reaction was to maul a kitten," she then turns her blue eyes towards Amber who was now shakily standing on her legs, fur ruffled, eyes wide..but shining in determination as she glared at Robinwing, "I'm sorry about that. If you don't want to join the Clan I understand," but to the shock of many cats she narrows her eyes and fully stands up, the light of the setting sun made her look like her fur was blazing in fire.

"I want to join. I want to learn. Robinwing is right, I don't know what it's like to be a real cat..but I want to learn,"

Bluestar blinks in shock before she gently smiles at her, "And you shall learn. I will teach you everything you will need to know," many gasps were heard from the crowd as Bluestar turns to the crowd, "This cat has agreed to join us, to learn our ways. For this I welcome her to the ThunderClan as an apprentice. Until she earns her Warrior name she will be known as Blazepaw. In honor of her spirit and how her pelt blazes in the sunlight," she then presses her nose against Amber's..no Blazepaw's head, "And I shall be your Mentor. I shall teach you of the Gods, how to fight and hunt..you will be a Warrior ThunderClan shall be proud of,"

At that moment many of the cats begin to cheer, calling out her and Bluestar's names. Blazepaw smiles, even with the scratches stinging. In the corner of her eyes she sees Robinwing limping over to a pile of rocks that was covered in ferns while Lionheart grabs her mangle collar to bury it.

"Hey Blazepaw!" ears twitching Blazepaw turns to see Briarpaw coming over holding a bundle of leaves in his mouth. Her whole body trembles with pride at her new name and she greets the light brown tabby with a welcoming sniff.

Briarpaw sets down the bundle of leaves before opening it, Blazepaw's nose twitches at the tangy smell of the leaves as Briarpaw chews it up before placing it along with some cobwebs onto her scratches, "I'm glad your ok," Briarpaw mumbles, "Robinwing been a Warrior long before I was born, so she knows what she's doing. But you put up a great fight. She won't be forgetting you in a hurry,"

Blazepaw winces at the stings, "Thanks.." she looks around as she hears many of the cats begin to crowd around her, echoing her new name as they welcome her.

"Welcome Blazepaw!"

"Wow! Bluestar's Apprentice! She hasn't had an apprentice since Wildstep!"

"You do have potential Blazepaw. You better be working hard!"

"It's a good name too," Briarpaw smirks after he places the cobwebs on her to stop the bleeding.

Blazepaw looks around, "Where did Robinwing go?"

"Probably to the Healing Den. That's where me and my mentor Spottedleaf live. We as the Witch and Warlock heals the Clan," he then smirks, "We're not bad looking either if I do say myself,"

Blazepaw giggles at this but the two stop when a ginger and white cat walks toward them, their blue eyes staring at Blazepaw.

Briarpaw nods his head, "Cherrylight, she/her," she explains to Blazepaw who also nods her head respectfully.

"Lucky Bluestar cut your collar off when she did. I don't doubt it for one second mother would had killed you," she whispers before turning away.

"That's Cherrylight, she's the daughter of Robinwing and Fuzzybush," Blazepaw blinks at that, from the looks of it Robinwing and Fuzzybush hate each other and was about to ask about that when an old gray tom sitting at the edge of the clearing cries out.

"Smallear smells trouble!" Briarpaw meows immediately alert as other cats begin to form a line. Blazepaw could barely ask how Smallear could tell as a large dark gray tabby with black stripes staggered through the gorse that covered the slope that was the entrance of the camp. Cats cried out in shock and horror at the sight of what was in his jaws. For it was not prey that he held in his jaws but another cat. Blazepaw felt Briarpaw stiffen before a yowl of grief emerged from her friend. He crouches down as tears stream down his face while an older tom that looked like him runs forward.

"Redtail! No! Not Redtail!"
