Gibbs' eyes widened at the last name.

"Todd? Where have I heard that last name-" Gibbs' stopped talking when he remembered a certain brunette he was head over heels in love with 20 years ago.

"20 years ago, you met a brunette who was in law school...Okay, well yeah. She had dropped out of law school but, the point is. That brunette. Is my mother." Jake said as he held up a picture of a brunette with chocolate brown eyes smiling at the camera.

"No…" Gibbs whispered as he looked at Jake, shocked and confused.

"And you. Leroy Jethro Gibbs...You are my father."

Tony and McGee's jaws dropped to the ground at the sentence.

"Gibbs has a son!?" The question echoed through the two agents' heads as they stared at the young man and their team leader.

"I have a son?" Gibbs asked with a shocked face. Jake nodded as he handed Gibbs another picture. This time, it was the brunette holding two boys who looked about 3. Gibbs raised his eyebrows at the picture.

"Jake...Are you...Are you a twin?" Gibbs asked as he looked up at his son.

"Yeah...His name's Jaiden. Jaiden Mark Jethro Todd." Jake explained as Gibbs ran his fingers through his hair and tried to calm down.

"God!" Gibbs exclaimed as he realized he had left his former lover to raise two boys all on her own.

"W-Where is she? Where is Jaiden?"

"If by "she", you mean my Mother then she should be realizing by now that I'm not anywhere in Italy. And Jaiden is trying to cover for me."

"Your mother doesn't know you're here?!"

"Well, duh. I came looking for you after 17 years of wondering who the hell my father was. Mom always told the same story. 'It was a summer romance' and that she had found out she was pregnant with us, long after you were gone." Jake explained once again as Gibbs pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Hey, Bossman! I found something- Woah!" Abby stopped in her tracks after Gibbs and Jake turned around.

"Bossman, you never told me you had a twin."

"He's not a twin, Abby...That's his son." Tony said as Abby's jaw dropped.

"Gibbs! You have a son?! When were you going to tell us!? How old is he!? What's his name!? God, he looks just like you!"

"Hey! Hey! Lady, keep your hands to yourself." Jake said, pushing away Abby's hands when she touched his face.

"Huh, he has your attitude too." Abby mumbled making Jake and Gibbs glare at her. Abby gave a small smile before quickly walking away to McGee's desk.

Gibbs sighed and looked at Jake.

"Jake, you need to go home. Your mother will be worried about you."

"No! You've gotta come back with me!"

"Jake, the last time I saw your mother, she told me she never wanted to see me again. She never wanted anything to do with me!"

"Then explain to me why she hasn't married a single guy after you left? Why she's still single!? My mother is 41 and is unmarried for god's sake. At this point in life, you're supposed to be happily married with tons of kids!"

"Well, son. It's time you get a reality check because when I was in my 40's, I was going through my third divorce with no kids." Gibbs said as Jake's jaw dropped.

"Damn. You had three wives?"

"Yeah, bossman doesn't have a good record with women." Tony said only to get a slap on the back of his head by Gibbs.

"Sorry, Boss."

"Jesus. And I thought Mom was worse. She's dated at least 50 men."

"O...kay. That's enough talk. Look, you need to go home. Now. Before your mother blames me even more for ruining her life." Gibbs said as he walked away from Jake and over to his desk.

"Look, man. I get that my Mother told you she didn't want anything to do with you anymore but...She's miserable. When she thinks me or my brother aren't looking, she stares at a picture of a...well, younger you and her and starts crying. I know my Mom and I know that she misses you." Jake said softly as he stood in front of Gibbs' desk.

"She's miserable without you, the least you can do is just go see her and Jaiden."

Gibbs sighed and rubbed a hand down his face.

"She lives all the way in Italy. And I'm workin' a case. You tell me how I-" Gibbs was cut off by the ringing of his phone. He rolled his eyes and answered the call.

"Yeah, Gibbs." He grumbled before his eyes lit up.

"Jeez, you need a better way of answering your cell phone." Jake mumbled.

"Kate?...Yeah...Yeah, he's here with me...I know...Yeah, he told me...It's okay...Don't apologize, Katie...Okay." And with that, Gibbs closed his cell phone and sighed before looking at Jake.

"Your mother's already on her way here to get you."

"Aw, c'mon, man. I'm 19. I don't need an- Right, sorry." Jake said once he saw the glare on his father's face.

"C'mon. Lemme take you home."

"You can also meet Kelly!" Abby and Tony said in unison making Gibbs stop in his tracks and turn around with an angry glare on his face.

"Uh-oh." McGee said as he looked down at the file in his hands.

"Who's Kelly?" Jake asked, looking at Abby and Tony before turning to Gibbs.

"That's his daughter." Abby answered.

"She's 17." Tony replied as Gibbs gave them a deadly glare while the two smiled innocently at him.
Jake raised an eyebrow at Gibbs, "You have a daughter? Why didn't you say-"

"Because it's none of your business!"

"Well, yeah. I guess it kinda is considering she's my half-sister and your my father!"

Gibbs gave another glare towards Abby and Tony before turning on his heels and walking towards the elevator, angrily pushing the button to call the lift.

"Wish me luck." Jake mumbled as Abby patted him on the shoulder.

"Good luck, Jakey."

"Ew. Don't call me that."

"Just go." Abby rolled her eyes and pushed him towards Gibbs who was holding the elevator for him.

NAPLES, ITALY

"Jaiden Mark Jethro Todd! Where is your brother?!" Kate's voice echoed through the halls of her house. Jaiden jumped at her voice and turned around and smiled innocently at his mother.

"Who? Jake? I don't know...I think he said he was going to visit a friend." He shrugged, turning away from his mother, and continued playing his video game. Kate walked into his room and pulled out the cord to his T.V.

"Momma! C'mon! I was about to win!" Jaiden exclaimed before Kate turned his chair around and placed her hands on his shoulders and giving him one hell of an angry glare.

"Jaiden Mark Jethro Todd. If you don't tell me where the hell your brother went in the next three seconds, I swear to god you will never leave this house and you will be grounded for the rest of your life until the day you die!" Kate yelled at him as Jaiden scoffed.

"You can't do that!"

"1…"

"Momma!"

"2…"

"Okay! Okay! He's in DC!" Jaiden yelled before gasping and covering his mouth.

"He is WHERE!?"

"He's in DC?"

"Are you telling me or asking me?"

Jaiden cleared his throat and said in a confident voice, "He is in DC."

Kate's face fell and she let go of her son. There was only one reason Jake would go to DC.

"No. No, no, no. No!"

"I tried stopping him Momma, but he wouldn't listen."

"Shit! When I get my hands on that boy, I swear to god." Kate grumbled as she walked out of her son's room and over to the kitchen where her cell phone was.

She hadn't seen him in 19 years. And for 19 years, he was the only man in her mind. All the men she dated hadn't taken her heart like the Marine she had met at the bar, 20 years ago. She was head over heels in love with him. She still is, but he'd made her so angry one night. And after she had told him to leave, she found out she was pregnant. With twins.

Kate grabbed her cell phone, ready to call the Marine. Hell, she didn't know if he was still a Marine. Jaiden quietly walked up to his mother at the kitchen counter.

"Momma?"

"Hmm?"

"Jake found his number before he left...I can give it to you." Jaiden said softly as Kate turned to look at her son. She gave him a small smile and nodded. Jaiden took her phone, punched in the numbers, and gave it back to her. Kate looked down at her phone, staring at the numbers. Was she ready to talk to the same man who broke her heart? The same man who she is still in love with 'til this day?

Kate took a deep breath before dialing the numbers. As her phone was ringing, indicating that it was calling the other line, her heart started racing.

"God, I wonder if he still sounds the same." She thought to herself before the ringing stopped and they both heard a gruff voice on the other line.

"Yeah, Gibbs."

"God, his voice was still sexy." Kate thought to herself as he heart raced faster.

"Jethro?"

"Kate?"

"God, you still sound the same." Kate said as tears started welling up in her eyes.

"Yeah."

"Is Jake there?"

"Yeah, he's here with me." Gibbs replied as Kate and Jaiden let out a breath of relief.

"I was so worried about him when I didn't find him anywhere in my house."

"I know."

"Did he...Did he tell you?"

"Yeah, he told me."

"God, I should've told you but...I just…" Kate whispered as tears started falling from her eyes.

"It's okay."

"I'm so sorry, Jet."

"Don't apologize, Katie." Gibbs said softly from the other line.
Kate took a deep breath. "I'm on my way to DC to get Jake."

"Okay." That was the last thing Gibbs said before the phone went down. Kate let out a shaky breath as she set the phone down and wiped away her tears. Jaiden wrapped his arms around his mother, feeling bad for her. It was his and Jake's fault she was feeling this way now.

"I can go get him if you want, Mom." Jaiden said softly as he heard Kate sniffle.

"No. No, I'll go. I need to get Jake."

"Well, I'm not letting you go alone." Jaiden said as Kate looked up at him and gave a small smile.

"Alright, fine. Go pack your bags." Kate said as Jaiden nodded. He leaned down and kissed his mother's cheek before leaving the kitchen. Kate put her head in her hands and sighed.

Was she ready to face the man that broke her heart? No. No, she wasn't but she had to go get her son. Yes, he may be 19 but after the stunt he has pulled, she is not letting him out of her sight.

Kate let out another sigh before walking out of the kitchen and into her bedroom to pack her bags for the trip to DC.
