FLASHBACK
20 YEARS AGO
"Katie, c'mon. We gotta go, babe." Jethro said as we walked up to his girlfriend's bedroom.
"Coming! Just give me a minute!" Kate called back as she finished up her make-up. She put her stuff away and looked at herself in the mirror when the door opened, revealing her handsome boyfriend.
"Wow." He breathed out as Kate smiled at him while a light blush crept up her cheeks. Jethro looked her up and down before smirking at her.
"You look gorgeous." He said as he leaned down and captured her lips in a passionate but hot kiss.
Kate smiled into the kiss. "Mmm, and you look handsome." She mumbled against his lips, wrapping her arms around his neck. Jethro broke the kiss and smiled down at her, running his hands down her back and onto her butt, squeezing gently.
"We have to go now, or we'll be late." He said softly as Kate nuzzled his covered, muscular chest, humming.
"Remind me why we have to go?"
Jethro chuckled and caressed Kate's bottom. "Because this is your family, and they are getting a get-together? Plus, you wanted me to meet them."
Kate groaned into Jethro's chest. "I don't know why the hell I agreed into going."
Jethro smirked before kissing Kate's head. "You'll be fine. C'mon, let's go, baby." He took Kate's hand in his, led her out the house, locked the door behind them, and then got into the car. As Jethro drove, he could see out the corner of his eye that Kate kept fidgeting. He reached out with his right hand and put it on her thigh, caressing it softly.
"Everything will be alright. The second you want to leave or I sense that you're getting uncomfortable, the second we leave the house, okay?" Jethro said softly while Kate nodded her head silently.
"I love you."
Kate looked at him and smiled at him lovingly. "I love you more."
Jethro let out a chuckle. "Agree to disagree." He said making Kate laugh.
PRESENT
WASHINGTON AIRPORT
Gibbs was looking down at Kate while she was smiling up at him before he cleared his throat and broke eye contact with her and rubbed the back of his neck with one hand. Kate's smile fell away and she looked down to the ground while Layla, Kelly, and Jaiden just gawked at them.
Layla sighed, Kelly shook her head, and Jaiden raised an eyebrow at Kate and Gibbs.
"Where's Jake?" Jaiden asked, breaking the silence. Layla looked at him and raised her eyebrows while Kelly frowned. Kate looked up and looked behind Gibbs, wondering where her son was.
"Jethro. Where is Jake?"
Gibbs sighed. "He...Didn't want to come. He's helping my men out at my job."
"He's working with your men?"
"Yeah."
"Mom, he's not a Marine anymore, by the way." Jaiden explained. Kate glanced back at her son before looking up at her former lover.
"You're not?"
"Mm-mm." Gibbs shook his head. "I work at NCIS now. After my...daughter was born."
Gibbs saw a flash of pain in Kate's eyes before she looked away from him and to the two girls behind him.
"You have a daughter? But there are two...Wait, you're married?"
Gibbs chuckled. "God, no. Layla, Kelly. C'mere." The two girls walked over and stood next to him.
"This is Kelly. And this is Layla. Both are 17." He explained as Jaiden nodded and Kate just kept quiet.
"So you're twins." He said, more stating the fact than asking.
"Nope." Layla said, shaking her head. Kate and Jaiden looked at each other before turning to the three with a frown.
"We are three months apart. Layla being the oldest." Kelly explained. Kate looked at Gibbs making him give her a smirk.
"She's my brother's daughter, Katie. I'm not that kind of man." Gibbs said making Jaiden nod in understanding and Kate looked at Layla before nodding her head at Gibbs. She waited for an explanation until she saw Gibbs give the "I'll tell you later" look. Kate nodded her head once more.
"Let's go." Kate said as she grabbed her bags, Jaiden following behind her. As they started walking, Gibbs took Kate's suitcase out of her hands and held it for her, making her handbag the only thing she was carrying. Kate looked up at him to see him staring forward, leading them towards the car. She looked back down and let out a silent deep breath. She hated the man but loved him at the same time. She just hopes she can get Jake and get both of her sons out of Washington as fast as she can.

Gibbs, Kate, Layla, Kelly, and Jaiden walked out of the elevator and over to the bullpen only to see Tony and Jake throwing stuff at each other, laughing their heads off while McGee was hiding behind his computer once he saw the boss was back.
"Oh, c'mon McGee! Join the fun! You can't always be a wuss. Gibbs isn't back! He's probably out with that sexy brunette, having the best time of his life with her. Lucky bastard." Tony said, turning to Jake who was laughing 2 minutes ago but was now putting away files in the cabinet.
"Is that a fact? DiNozzo?" He heard his boss's gruff voice from behind him, Tony winced.
"Hi, Boss...Back already?" Tony asked as he turned around and flashed a smile at Gibbs who in return glared at him before walking away, towards his desk. Tony let out a sigh of relief before noticing two new people in the bullpen.
"Hey, Lulu. Hey, Kelly." Tony said as Kelly and Layla smirked at him.
"Hey, Tony." The two replied before walking away and over to the empty desk. Kelly sat on the chair while Layla sat down on the floor.
"And stop calling me 'Lulu'. I hate that name." Layla said, rolling her eyes. Tony smirked at her before turning towards Kate and Jaiden.
"I'm guessing you're Katie and-"
"Kate."
"Huh?"
"My name. It's Kate."
"But...Boss called you-"
"I don't care what he called me. My name is Kate."
"Jeez, sorry." Tony said, putting his hands up in defense before turning to Jaiden who was currently glaring at his brother next to him.
"I told you not to come here." He heard Jaiden whisper to his brother.
"It's not my fault she didn't want to tell us anything else about Dad! He's not even as bad as she made him look!" Jake whisper-yelled at his younger brother. Jaiden rolled his eyes.
"You've spent one day with him, Jake. One day."
"So what?"
"'So what?' Are you really asking me that!?"
"Enough! I am done with you two fighting! Get your asses in the elevator!" Kate scolded them as everyone in the bullpen turned to the three.
Not seeing any movement, Kate got angrier. "Jake Leroy Thomas Todd! Jaiden Mark Jethro Todd! Get your asses over there. NOW!"
Jake and Jaiden jumped before running towards the elevator, punching the call button a dozen times, thinking the elevator would get there faster.
Layla and Kelly's jaws dropped at the names.
"Leroy?!"
"Jethro!?"
The two looked over at their father who had his head in his hands.
"Why are they named after you?" Kelly asked as she stood up, also helping Layla up before they walked over to Gibbs' desk.
"Is there something you're not telling us?"
Gibbs sighed. "Yes. Jake and Jaiden are your brothers. Half brother's to be exact." He explained before looking at the two who were looking down at him with raised eyebrows before looking at each other and a smile spread across their faces.
"We have brothers/a mother!" The two exclaimed before looking at each other confusingly.
"Wait, you want brothers? All I cared for was that we finally have a mother. And she's hot." Layla said with a smirk as Tony agreed, only to get a slap on the back of his head by Kate who was getting angrier by the minute.
"Look...We're gonna go. We gotta go get a hotel and stay there for two days." She said after taking a deep breath to clear her mind and calm her down a bit.
"I wouldn't stay in a hotel if I were you." Tony said as Kate looked at him and glared.
"Well, you're not me. So...We're staying in a hotel." Kate said, turning on her heel and walking to the elevator where Jake and Jaiden were still waiting.
"No, you're not." She heard Gibbs say. Kate turned around and raised her eyebrow at him.
Walking back into the bullpen she said, "And why not?"
Gibbs smirked at her. "'Cause, you're stayin' at my place." He passed his keys to Layla. "Drive them home. You know where to put them."
Layla stood up. "What about Kate?" Gibbs gave her a look. "Ah, got it. Well, we'll see ya home." She linked arms with Kelly and walked out of the bullpen, over to the elevator. Kate looked at Gibbs, glaring at him while he grinned at her. Tony and McGee looked at their boss shocked.
Gibbs grinning? That was very unusual for them.
"What time do you finish work?" Kate asked making Gibbs shrug.
"When I finish work." He smirked. Kate rolled her eyes and walked over to the elevator, Jake holding the door open for her. Layla looked at Gibbs and nodded at him while he winked at her as the doors closed.

As Layla parked in the driveway, Kate got out and looked up at the two-story house.
"Wow." She mumbled before hearing the trunk pop open. She walked to the back and took out her bags before following Kelly up the steps and onto the porch. She opened the door and lead Kate inside while Layla was helping the boys with the other suitcases.
"Oh...Wow." Kate whispered to herself as she looked around. Kelly giggled making Kate look at her.
Kate smiled at the girl before asking, "What's so funny?"
Kelly smiled back, "Nothing...It's just that...I can see why my Dad fell for you. You are very beautiful. A full-on Goddess, if you asked me." She said making Kate laugh.
"Thank you, darling." She replied before Jake and Jaiden walked in, followed by Layla who closed the door, locking it behind her.
"Alright so...Jake, you can show Jaiden where he'll be staying." Layla said, placing the car keys in the small bowl on the table near the door. Jake turned and looked at her with a frown.
Layla looked back at him. "Your room."
"For real? Ugh!" Jake said before leading his brother to the room. Kate frowned at the girls who smirked at her.
"Where...Will I be staying?"
"In Dad's bedroom." The two replied together. Kate's eyes were so wide, Layla and Kelly they might pop out of their eye-sockets.
Kate laughed uncomfortably. "Um...Look. I get that...Jethro and I have been together...But that was a long time ago! Before you two were born...I think it's better if I take the couch. That way he can have his own-"
"Dad's already taken the couch. He wants you to take his room." Layla explained while Kelly just nodded. Kate looked at them with her mouth slightly open.
"I-I...Alright. Fine. Where is his room?" She asked in defeat. Kelly and Layla grinned.
"Just up the stairs." Kelly said softly, pointing to the stairs. "It's the room on the far left."
"It's the only room on the left." Layla mumbled as the two girls watched Kate walk up the stairs and towards Gibbs' bedroom. The sister's turned to each other and high-fived.
"Dad better pay us for this." Kelly said as they walked to the kitchen.
Layla smirked. "Oh, he will."
