Summary: What if Kate Todd and Leroy Jethro Gibbs met way before Kate joined the Secret Service and were together for a few months before a big fight broke out, pushing the two away from each other. 20 years later, the two meet again, will they be able to work things out between them? KIBBS all the way! Kate and Kelly live!

Disclaimer: I do not own NCIS, but if I did, Kate would've lived and there would've been WAY more Kibbs. I only own Jake, Jaiden, Layla, and some other characters who will come in the future chapters.

As Gibbs got out of Ducky's car and headed down to his porch, he noticed all the lights were turned off in the house. He sighed before turning around and waving at Ducky. The elderly man smiled and waved before heading to his own house. Gibbs turned back around and walked up to the door, he turned the knob but found the door locked. He groaned and leaned his head on the door.

"Damn it." He mumbled. He searched his pockets for the keys before remembering it's on the hook with the car keys which are inside the house. Gibbs let out a frustrated sigh as he pulled out his phone. He was about to call Layla when he remembered she had changed her phone - after she broke it out of frustration - and the number wasn't the same. He switched over to calling Kelly. The line was ringing and ringing but no answer after a couple of minutes. Giving up, he decided to just call Kate.

"Todd." Came the sleepy feminine voice from the other line. Gibbs bit back a groan from hearing Kate's sleepy voice. It was still as sexy as the last time he had heard it.

"Katie...It's Gibbs. I'm sorry for waking you up but...Can you come down and unlock the door for me." He said softly. He waited for a while for a response, but when nothing came he thought Kate must've fallen asleep.

"Katie?" He called out softly before hearing her hum lazily.

"The door? Please?"

He heard Kate yawn. "I'm coming, Jethro." She said before ending the call. Gibbs smiled to himself as he put his phone back into his pocket. He waited for a minute before the door clicked and opened to show a still sleepy Caitlin Todd.

He smiled down at her. "Hello, sleepyhead."

Kate attempted to glare at him but failed as her eyes started to close. Gibbs chuckled and walked into the house, closing the door behind him before turning to the brunette who was standing in front of him. Her hair was sticking out. Her long legs, slender and smooth. Her eyes, half-closed and full with sleep.

"C'mon. Let's get you to bed." Gibbs told Kate softly. She hummed before turning around and mindlessly walking towards the stairs. She stumbled most of the way as Gibbs watched her. He chuckled and walked towards her, stopped her, and lifted her up bridal style.

Fully awake now, Kate let out a gasp of surprise. "Jethro!" She wrapped her arms around his neck to stabilize herself before looking up into his eyes. He looked down at her and gave her a smile as he walked up the stairs. She looked away from him and just rested her head on his shoulder as he carried her, breathing him in.

She missed him. Missed the way he'd hold her like this. The way he'd kiss her goodnight before she fell asleep in his arms. She missed the way he'd whisper sweet nothings in her ear until she'd fall asleep with his arms wrapped tightly around her, as if she's a life raft in the middle of the big ocean.

Kate was brought out of her thoughts when her back hit something soft and Gibbs' arms were being taken away from around her body. She opened her eyes to see him smiling softly down at her as he pulled the blankets over her body. Kate frowned at him.

"Go to sleep, Katie." He whispered in her ear before kissing her head. His lips lingering for a bit longer than he wanted before pulling back and quietly walking out of the room, missing the movement of Kate's fingers brushing the place where Gibbs' lips had been just seconds before.

Yes, she missed him, but could she love him again? It's been 19 years and his charms are working on her again.

Kate groaned before turning and closing her eyes to go to sleep. But, not before she breathed in the scent of Gibbs and sighed with a smile on her face as she hugged his pillow close to her chest and slept.

The next morning, Kate woke up to the smell of food being cooked. She groaned and reached around to grab her phone to check the time but realized that something was different. Her usual silky sheets were now cotton. Her pillow smelled like sawdust and very manlike. There was more talking going on in the kitchen than usual, there was laughing, and a lot of movement going on.

"What the hell." She mumbled as she stretched in the bed before sitting up and scratching her head. Kate opened her eyes and almost screamed when she noticed Gibbs sitting on the chair near the window.

"Mornin', sunshine." He smirked at her.

Kate glared at him. "Jethro! What the hell are you doing?!"

"Well, I came here to wake ya up but, ya looked so peaceful. I just couldn't bring myself to wake ya." Gibbs shrugged as he sat up and moved towards the bed with a cup of coffee.

"Don't you have any respect? Y'know there's something called 'knocking' right?" Kate asked as she rolled her eyes and stood up from Gibbs' bed. Gibbs chuckled and handed her the cup of coffee.

"No, Katie." He whispered as he looked into her eyes and had a smug smirk on his face. "I didn't know there was something called 'knocking' to wake someone up."

Kate scoffed and walked away towards the bathroom and slammed the door in his face.

"You break the door, you buy it."

"Piss off, Jeth!"

Gibbs chuckled as he walked out of the bedroom and down the stairs to the kitchen where he saw Jake, Jaiden, Layla, and Kelly making breakfast.

"Woah! So, wait...You're the reason Dad got divorced for the last time?" Jaiden asked Layla as she smirked and shrugged.

"Well, I didn' like the girl. Not my fault."

Kelly scoffed. "You put a dead rat. In her purse!" Jaiden and Jake burst out laughing while Layla giggled.

"Well, Kelly. I can recall a time where you soaked her underwear and bra in raw meat before we went out for dinner with Aunt Jen and the team and some stranger's dog bit her where the sun don't shine."

Kelly rolled her eyes before she and Layla started laughing with the boys.

"Oh, god. Fun memories." Kelly said as she wiped a stray tear that fell down her cheek.

"Ah...Hated the woman but, funny when you pranked her."

Jake took a deep breath to calm himself down before he spoke. "Who's this...Aunt Jen? I didn't know Dad had a sister."

Layla chuckled. "Nope. He doesn't. We just call her our Aunt."

"As well as Ziva and Abby. We call them 'Aunt' as well." Kelly added as Layla agreed before drinking her coffee.

"Will...We ever meet Ziva and Jen?"

"Her names Jenny, but we-" Layla pointed to herself and Kelly. "-call her Jen."

"Ohhh, okay." Jake said while Jaiden frowned.

"Okay...So, I've met Tony and McGoo-"

"McGee." Kelly corrected.

Jaiden nodded. "Right...McGee, but who else have I not met?"

"Well, you haven't met Abby, Ziva, Jenny, Ducky, Palmer, and...Oh! Right, Fornell."

Gibbs walked down the stairs. "Fornell?"

The four looked towards the stairs.

"Mornin', Daddy!"

"Mornin', Dad."

"Morning, Gibbs." Jake and Jaiden said. Yes, the two would call him "Dad", just not to his face. Not yet.

"Morning. Why are you guys talking about Tobias?" Gibbs asked as he went over to the coffee pot and poured himself another cup of coffee.

"Well, Jaiden was askin' who he hasn't met and we were just telling him who he could meet." Layla shrugged as she placed her empty cup in the sink.

"Okay." Gibbs said as he drank his coffee.

"So...Are we staying here or...Coming with you to work?" Jake asked as Gibbs thought about it.

"We'll see what your mother thinks."

Jake scoffed. "Mom will obviously say 'no'. She always does." He rolled his eyes while Jaiden glared at him.

Gibbs smirked. "With me around'. She won't have a choice but let you two do whatever ya wanna do." Jake and Jaiden looked at each other and grinned.

"Alright!" They exclaimed as they high-fived before Kate walked down the stairs dressed in jeans and a red sweatshirt.

"Hey! Dad has the same sweatshirt!" Kelly exclaimed, making Gibbs, Layla, Jaiden, and Jake look at Kate who stopped in her tracks.

"You kept it?" Gibbs asked with astonishment.

Kate cleared her throat and looked up. "Um...Y...Yes." Gibbs smirked at her while she glared at him.

"I can give it back to you if you want."

"Nah, you can keep it. Looks way better on you than it did on me." Kate blushed at his words while Jake and Jaiden smirked.

"Alright, alright. Mom."

"Yes?"

"Can Jake and I go with Da- I mean Gibbs to work? Please!"

Kate looked at him with a frown. "And what the hell do you think I'm gonna do all day? Sit around?"

Kelly and Layla looked at each other before grinning at Gibbs.

"Can we skip school today and have a girl's day out with Kate?!" The two yelled excitedly while Gibbs just stared at the two.

"Skip school?"

"Yes! Please! We've finished all our exams."

"And-And we've never skipped school. Except for that one time where Aunt Jen picked us up early."

Gibbs raised his eyebrows. "When the hell did that happen?"

Kelly and Layla pouted at him. Gibbs rolled his eyes. "Alright. Fine. But, one of you will have to call in. Jake. Jaiden. Get in the car."

"Yes!"

"Alright!"

"Bye, Mom!" The two brothers said, kissing Kate's cheek before grabbing their jackets and running out of the house, fighting for the front seat. Kate glared at Gibbs.

"You're letting them skip school?! And-And since when do you get to boss around my sons?"

Layla turned around and shrugged. "Pretty sure he helped in the process of making them." Kelly gasped and slapped her arm. "Ow! I'm pretty sure you know that info as well. Hell, you took family life!"

"Pig! I live with a goddamn pig." Kelly scoffed as she walked up the stairs. Layla's jaw dropped.

"I am not a pig!"

"You eat like one!"

"You look like one!"

From upstairs, Kelly snorts like a pig before slamming the door closed to the bathroom.

"Ugh!" Layla exclaimed as she walked out of the house, slamming the door behind her. Kate's jaw was down the ground while Gibbs chuckled before getting slapped on the arm.

"Ow!"

"I don't care if you're their father. If something happens to Jake or Jaiden, I swear to god. No one will find your body." Kate threatened as Gibbs smirked down at her.

"Still got that feistiness in ya, huh?"

Kate scoffed as she turned on her heel and walked away.

"I promise."

Kate turned around and raised an eyebrow. Gibbs sighed and rolled his eyes.

"I promise that nothing will happen to them, alright?" Kate smirked at him.

"Better not. Or your team will be missing a leader!" Kate called as she walked up the steps. Gibbs chuckled before setting his empty mug in the sink and walked out of the house to see Layla sitting on the chair on the front porch.

"Bye, Dad."

"Bye, piggie." Gibbs teased making Layla stick her tongue out at him. Gibbs laughed out loud as he got in the car and saw both Jake and Jaiden sitting at the back.

"What the…"

"We couldn't decide who gets to sit in the front, so we both sat at the back." Jaiden explained while Jake was glaring at him.

"Don't think your brother agrees with that." Gibbs said, closing the door and starting the engine.

"When does he ever agree with anything?" Jaiden rolled his eyes.

"Hey!"

"Alright! Alright. Just. Be quiet." Gibbs grumbled as he glared at the two before backing out of the driveway.
