Kermit's New Show
We reunite with Kermit who stops his bike by a valet for a fancy restaurant. The valet is surprised at the sudden arrival.
Kermit gets off the bike and said as he is heading inside "Take care of her will you? She may appear old and rusty but she is a classic." He heads inside, meanwhile the handle bars detach from the bike and it falls over
Inside the restaurant we see it is very fancy, heck there is even a tank filled with Lumas for special light decorations. Sitting near it was Kermit with his friend Wiz
"Okay listen, we bot know that my theatre has been going though some rough times lately." Kermit said beginning to talk about the reason for this "But as the saying goes: 'For every a silver lining' We got..."
"Apupupup hold it right there Kermit" Wiz said to get Kermit to stop "My dad, heard I was going to see you today and he was all like: 'Wiz, tell that frog I'm not funding any more of those shows and that's final' those were his words"
"Well, your dad was right" Kermit said still smiling "Those shows were a problem, War of the Worlds, Gonzo takes a bow. Nobody wants to see that anymore. So what do I do?"
"Quit?" Wiz guessed shrugging, he has had doubts that Kermit could turn the failing theatre around and rather his friend give up rather then go more into debt.
"No, I'll give them a show they cannot resist which is gonna be..." Kermit said but the waiter Larry clears his throat want to get there order. "Just one more minute s'il vous plaît" Larry groans and walks off "Merci!"
"Don't speak french, they speak english here" Wiz said nervous and worried
Kermit then continued "Now, my next show...is gonna be...drum roll please" He then finger drum rolls the table "A singing competition"
Wiz was silent for a moment before saying "A singing competition? Who wants to see another one of those?"
"Everyone!" Kermit said excited "Just think, your neighbour, the local store manager, that Astromech droid! Right there!" He points to said droid who was rolling by "Everyone in this city, get's a shot at being a star live on my stage!"
"Kermit, this is a terrible idea" Wiz laughed as he looks over the menu
"No it's not" Kermit said "Real talent from real life. That's what audiences want and I'm going to give it to them" He slams his fist onto his spoon which flies off and hits Glomgold on the head who was on the phone, the impact made him drop it into his soup.
Wiz upon seeing that get worried and said "C-Can we please just get out of here?"
"Why? Don't you want to eat?" Kermit asked
"Yeah but, we can't afford any of this" Wiz told him
"Yes I know and that's why..." Kermit said and reachs down under his seat and brings out a lunch box(the one you usually see construction workers have) "I brought sandwiches" He tosses Wiz one of them
"That's not allowed..." Wiz said even more worried now but notices some of the peanut butter of his sandwich drip onto his pants "Ugh..."
"What you don't like peanut butter and jelly?" Kermit asked
Meanwhile Larry who was helping an angry Glomgold get cleaned up looked and noticed what was happening on Kermit's table and annoyed said to Glomgold "Excuse me sir" He walks over to the table
"Look I got cream cheese, I got banana..." Kermit listed only to be grabbed by Larry and literally thrown out of the restaurant.
Larry dusts his hands and goes back inside, at the same time Wiz comes out carrying Kermit's suit jacket and things. He then asked a Kermit recovers "You okay?"
"Yep, never better" Kermit said as he heads off.
A while later back at the Muppet Theatre. Maria was typing on her computer next to a stack of books that had a ball ontop. She also had a fan running. Rita was sleeping in the room while Runt was sitting looking at the ball.
On her intercom Kermit is heard saying "Miss Calavera?"
Maria gets on the comm "Hello?" She gets blown a bit by the fan nearly hitting the book pile. "Who is this?" she joked
"It's me, your boss, Mr. Frog" Kermit said a bit annoyed
"Oh I know it's you Mr. Frog. Just messing with you" Maria said smiling
"Good to know" Kermit said and then got down to business "Now I need you add the following information to our publicity flyers"
"On it sir" Maria said ready to typ
Kermit gets his notes and reads "The winner of the singing contest will receive a grand prize of..." He opens the lock box he keeps his cash in "935 dollars" he closes the box and thinks "Hmmm, going to need more then that, just one moment"
Kermit grabs a vintage radio of his shelf, a prop helmet and a piece of rolled up red carpet and also his watch and stuffs them along with the lock box of cast into a chest. "$1,000, you got that?"
Maria was finishing up and typing and said "1,000 dollars" The fan blew into her harder this time as she is knocked into the books making the roll and Runy jumps to catch it but misses and crashes into Maria. The ball hits the keyboard number 0 twice before bouncing away into the room. Runt in excitement chases it.
As Maria recovers Kermit unaware of what happened said "Put them up on every sheet of paper we have left and let's spread the word right away, okay?"
"Y-Yes sir" Maria said and without looking at what is on the screen she its enter to print and as that works Maria goes to Runt to pretty much tell him what he did was wrong. Unaware the flyers now said the prize was '$100,000'
With Kermit he goes to his window and takes a deep breath "Ah, the winds of change" He the feels the brick dust and smiles softly saying to the theatre "Yep, when this show is a hit, I'm going to get you a fresh coat of paint."
Kermit gets his jacket on and exits his office and asked "How are we doing with those flyers, Miss Calavera?"
Maria was holding the huge stack of flyers and said "Oh yes sir, we're all good to go here."
However the fan turns and blows the flyers out the window. Kermit shocked said "Miss Calavera! No, No, No!" He attempts to stop it but too late all the flyers were off to spread across the four corners of Dragonville.
"Oops...I'm sorry" Marai said
"Well...I guess that is one way to spread the word" Kermit said looking on the bright side.
"Well, the word is out there, now we have to see if it will pay off" Rita said grooming herself
"Oh boy, I can't wait to meet many new people" Runt said happy
The flyers fly through the city catching everybody's attention, some grab one to look it over.
At the train station Gwen and Duncan were waiting for a train, a flyer hits Duncan on the back as there train arrives. Gwen seeing takes it and looks amazed as Duncan boards the train
"Hey Duncan look at this!" Gwen said excited
Duncan looks but the train door closes just as he does and he presses against the door said "Gwen! Babe! Wait!" Gwen smiling runs after the train waving the flyer.
We then come to a car garage work shop some cop cars drive past. We see Mondo move and closes the shutters to hide the truck. After hedoes he notices a flyer that snuck in and reads it
Mondo smiles but hears his uncle and his friends coming into the area and quickly hides the flyer.
We then come to Ochaco listening to music on her headphones and humming along as she waters the planets. Her mother taps her shoulder said "Ochaco" The girl looks to see her mother and granpa Max showing the flyer to her and she looks surprised and a bit worried
We come to the park where Lilith looks at the flyer and unintereted and throws it away where it lands on Roman's face as he was playing.
"Hey, hey, hey! What do you think you are….?!" Roman said removing the paper. Neo seeing it catches it and stops him to look at it. Upon reading it and seeing the prize Roman grins with excitement.
We then come to Nicole at home on the phone talking to one of her friends as she washes the dishes going "Uh huh, yeah..." But then a flyer lands on her window in front of her and she reads it and in her surprise and shock she drops the phone into the sing.
Pretty much this contest with this amount is going to get a lot of people excited...even though the amount the prize is worth is wrong.
Well the word is out let's see how it goes
