The Dress Rehearsal And Robbery
We come back to the Muppet Theatre where Kermit has gathered his show contestants and Ochaco for an announcement, he was also holding a rolled-up blueprint.
"Now everyone, your attention please" Kermit said to them "Tomorrow we are going to have a little full preview of the show and our audience will me none over then Miss Minerva McGonagall!" He heads to the show followed by the others who were amazed
"Wait Minerva McGonagall? She's still alive?" Roman asked amazed and both he and Neo were excited, like Kermit they greatly admire the famous singer
"Oh yes" Kermit said nodding make Roman laugh in excitement "and believe me, she's got some pretty high standards so today we're going to have a full-dress rehearsal and I want to see you light up the stage folks!"
The contestants go to get ready all excited, except for Gwen whose mind is still on what happened last night with Duncan and the breakup.
"Uraraka, Miss Calavera" Kermit said, he then shows them the blueprint which were his plans for remodelling the stage to make it extravagant for there special guest "What do you think?"
"Wow it's so ambitious" Maria said amazed
"Yeah, are you sure about this?" Ochaco asked concerned
"I promised Minerva something spectacular, this…I am sure it will blow her away" Kermit said excited, Ochaco and Maria smile and nods "Two minutes everybody" He heads off to prepare.
"Oh boy, I can't wait to see what master will have in store for the show" Runt said smiling
"Maybe, but he is really streatching himself I feel" Rita said concerned
Back stage as they were getting ready, Mondo hears his radio in his jacket Bane's voice going "Mondo? Mondo where are you?" Before anyone notices Mondo gets his jacket and goes to find a secure spot to take it and an annoyed Bane is heard saying "Mondo, answer the walkie talkie!"
Mondo gets the Walkie Talkie out and said "Yeah, yeah, yeah uncle I'm here, I'm here. What's up?"
"We got the call, the shipment's coming in" Bane told him
"Really tonight?" Mondo asked curious
"Not tonight, now" Bane said shocking Mondo in shock "Meet us on the corner of Mata-Nui Street in ten minutes."
Mondo looked on shocked and he still had that look as we join him a while later driving the truck with his uncle and his two gangmates laughing in excitement on this heist.
They soon arrive in the alley with the sewer entrance to the pier and as Nabbit and Clayface go in, Bane hangs back and says to Mondo "Stay right here, we will be back in exactly thirty se…."
"Thirty-Seven minutes, yeah I know you told me it repeatedly" Mondo said annoyed. Bane grunts and goes into the sewer. Mondo then checks his watch and smiles "I can make it."
He then reverses out of the alley and steps on the gas and drives heading back to the Muppet Theatre.
We come back to the theatre where Kermit, Maria, Rita and Runt were watching the rehearsals with Neo joining them as Roman finished his performance
"Bravo Roman, Minerva is going to love that!" Kermit said excited and Maria with Neo nod in agreement
"Oh, you're too kind Mr. Frog" Roman said now sporting a fancy purple coat and his cane is jewel encrusted a bit.
"And I myself am loving the new coat sir" Kermit complimented as Roman heads off stage. He then calls out "Okay can we see Gwen up next please?" Gwen hearing her name as he was sitting on some stairs wipes her eyes and gets up "Gwen can we get you up here."
Gwen was wearing the princess dress Kermit wanted her to wear, as well as the special porcupine wing Kermit allowed her too to have and walks to the stage looking downtrodden
Roman seeing her and not fully understanding why said jokingly "Oh, stand back everyone, moody goth teenager coming on through" He steps to the side smiling
"Good luck Gwen" Ochaco said in support to her
Back with Mondo, he was driving reckless fast he narrowly avoids some cars but unintentionally causes a car crash at stop light and keeps going trying to get there in time so he can do his performance and get back to the alley, so he doesn't gets in trouble.
At the theatre Gwen made onto the stage and she begins to sing Call me Maybe but due to still being upset it carried over into her voice
Gwen: I threw a wish in the well
Don't ask me, I'll never tell
I looked to you as it fell
And now you're in my way
I trade my soul for a wish
Pennies and dimes for a kiss
I wasn't looking for this
But now you're in my way
Kermit, Maria and Neo look on surprise as they notice something was off about Gwen's singing
Your stare was holding
Ripped jeans, skin was showin'
Hot night, wind was blowin'
Where you think you're going, baby?
The song combined with the thoughts of last night start to effect Gwen as she now visibly showing how upset she was and beginning to cry. Nicole and Ochaco watching look concerned
Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy
But here's my number, so call me maybe
"Woah! Woah! Woah! Okay, enough of that! Cut it, shut it, cut it" Kermit said, he wasn't going to force Gwen to continue not until they figure out what was wrong with her
Ochaco does so and cuts the music and all the sound there was, was Gwen crying. Kermit awkwardly said to Maria and Neo and the pets "I don't think anyone is going to call her after that" They nod in agreement. Kemit goes up to the stage and said "Uh, Gwen? Um…come on Gwen. What's up? Do you not like the dress?" Gwen cries and shakes her head violently letting out some of the quills on the wig and some land and stick into Kermit "Ow…." Gwen runs off stage crying while Kermit pulls a quill out "Ow…"
"Gwen!" Nicole said in concern as the teenager runs past her and Ochaco "What's wrong?"
Back with Mondo he was still recklessly driving to the theatre but was almost there and this time not causing any traffic accidents now at least.
Back at the Muppet Theatre, Gwen had calmed down enough to explain to the others why she was upset as she blows her nose
Nicole said "Well, it sounds to me that you are way better off without that…that…um…
"That total, unhonourable jerk rapscallion!" Whisper popped up saying despite the helmet it was clear this angered him
"Exactly, total unhonourable jerk rapscallion…" Nicole said unsure on the wording, but it works
"Honestly I woudn't have made that joke if I had known" Roman said sighing he was a jerk true but he at least wouldn't go behind his loves back and cheat on her.
"Nicole! Whisper! You're on!" Kermit calls out.
"Okay, here" Nicole said handing Gwen her bag "There should be some gum or some candy in there, help yourself"
Gwen smiles touched by the kindness of the people here, heck even Roman, even though he has a huge ego, mustered up a pat on her shoulder in understanding before going to watch the other acts.
Just then Mondo bursts into the room and seeing Nicole rushes over and said "Nicole! Nicole! Nicole! Wait, wait, wait. Is it possible, maybe I can go before you and Whisper please?"
"Oh, sure Mondo, go ahead" Nicole said smiling and Mondo smiles
However, they then hear Whisper on stage saying as there music for Shake it Off plays "Okay, get ready, as I'm warning you. This stage is going to explode in Amazing Power!" He shows off red shining armour and dances
"I'm sorry Mondo, I have no control over him when he is like this" Nicole said and takes a mic to go on stage while Mondo looks on worried, he doesn't have time to wait.
Whisper seeing his partner smiles and motions her to come and join in the dancing performance.
Nicole takes some breaths and says "Okay, come on, you can do this" She steps forward dancing a bit and sings looking at the audience as she does
Nicole: I stay out too late,
Got nothin' in my brain
She runs a bit smiling but then she trips and falls on her face surprising everyone. Kermit concerned asked "Are you okay?" Neo was holding in a laugh while unfortunate the fall was a bit funny
"Oh yes, Whisper is fine, thank you. How are you?" Whisper asked smiling failing to grasp he was referring to Nicole, the cat however did nod to indicate she was okay, embarrassed but okay.
Deciding best to move on Kermit says "Alright, Mondo, let's get you out here!" He then says to the leaving two as Mondo comes in quick with the piano "And you two, you need to work on that routine" Seeing the biker ready he said "Take it away Mondo"
Mondo had to hurry though this so began to play and sing All of Me. However, every so often since he was rushing, he hit a wrong note.
Mondo: What would I do without your smart mouth?
Drawin' me in and you kickin' me out
You've got my head spinnin',
We come to backstage where Whisper was trying to give Nicole a pep talk saying "You can't just sing it, you have to show your fire and desire"
"I'm sorry but the fire went out a long time ago" Nicole said sighing rubbing her head
"I am sorry, what?" Whisper asked surprised
"Look, I just can't keep count of the steps!" Nicole told him
Whisper sighs shaking his head and said "Ugh, counting, shounting." She looks to Gwen and Ochaco who were watching "She sings too much with her head, tell Whisper he's right?"
Gwen after a bit and popping a bubble of the gum she was having nods in agreement
"Yeah, see!" Whisper said point to Gwen "Just forget the steps and just let the music get control of your body parts"
"The body parts are responding, alright?" Nicole said getting her bag. "It's not going to happen. I should just go get groceries" she then begins to leave much to the protest of Whisper, Gwen and Ochaco
"Nicole no" Gwen said
"Nicole, please don't just go…" Whisper said concerned.
We come to the Theatre front entrance as Nicole opens the door.
"Psst…hey! Hey! Over here" A voice said and Nicole looks inside to see Roman by the door hiding behind the wall part and he whispered worried "Do you see three angry looking Decepticons out there? Two are Vehicons."
Nicole confused looked around and said "Err…no, don't think so."
"Oh, thank god" Roman said sighing in relief and heads out and sends Neo a text on his phone "Oh by the way, saw you act, the part where you fall on your face, that cracks me up every time" He laughs
"Look I know you act like you are a big shot but I know you aren't a jerk like this, example showing care for Gwen earlier" Nicole said
"Look, you're right but I'm not here to make friends or be mr. goody, goody. I'm here to win" Roman said "and if you can't cut it then just quit right now." He leaves the area.
Nicole watches and sighs knowing Roman was right, she feels she can't cut it.
We come back to Mondo as he finishes up his rehersal
Mondo: And you give me all of you, oh-oh
He knows he did bad, and Mondo said sighing "Oh man…"
"Mondo…" Kermit said thinking how best to go with this "I know I'm really asking a lot from you…"
"Mr. Frog, honest I am really trying I promise you that" Mondo said to him
"Hmmmmm, what about your backup song? Have you practised that yet?" Kermit asked him
Mondo thinks and checks his watch for the time "Errr…. not yet no."
"Well, why don't we go back and work on that, alright?" Kermit suggests nodding and Maria nods agreeing "I mean, look if you play like that, in front of Minerva McGonagall it will…" he and Maria look up and see Mondo was now gone "Mondo?"
"Wow, he disappeared faster then a cat" Rita said impressed
"Oh yeah, most definitely" Runt said in agreement.
We then come to Mondo in the truck driving quickly through the streets again as he had to hurry to get back to the alley to help his uncle and crew with their escape
He makes a quick turn stopping a taxi, it's driver Axel comes out and calls out "Hey!"
And just when it looks like he will make it he has to stop due to traffic, and he couldn't back up to take a different route as more cars come up and block him in.
So, what was the source of the traffic, ironically it was the car accident he unintentionally caused earlier.
Meanwhile at the alley Clayface opens the sewer cover and climbs out followed by Nabbit who upon seeing no truck look around for it and Bane comes out laughing, all three had a bag of gold each and Bane said, "We got the better life now boys" He climbs out and then his smile turned to confusion saying "What's going on? Where's Mondo?"
"He isn't here" Clayface said confused. As the three criminals look on confused on where their getaway driver was they hear police sirens "RUN!"
The three attempt to flee from the cops. Bane pushes a dumpster to block the cop car but when he came out the alley, he was surrounded by cops aiming guns at him, his two cohorts were unconscious and tied up with a bat themed grapple. Bane growled and he reluctantly surrenders.
Back with Mondo he honks his horn. He groans and slams his head on the wheel saying "Ohhhhh…I am so dead."
Looks like Mondo will be in trouble for sure
