Nicole and Whisper's Act
Kermit after recovering from the propelling shock, makes his way across the beams to the Moon set piece and gets on it. He holds the microphone and takes a deep breath, it was showtime for the last time in his head.
Kermit: Here we go.(Wiz dims the lights, shines the spotlights and lowers the moon) All creatures great and small! Welcome to the… (He stops and sees he was facing the wrong way which makes the audience laugh as he turns) Oh, hello there
Kent seeing this chuckles at that as well, he sort of expected a bad opening but he still got some amusement from it.
Kermit: Great, welcome to our newly refurbished open air theatre!
Back stage Nicole and Whisper were getting ready as they were the opening act
Nicole: (wearing an apron over her normal clothes and sorting her headset mic) You ready fast knight?
Whisper: (streatching) Of course, Whisper is totally ready
Nicole: Right (picks up a basket of laundry) Let's do this (they head for the stage while Kermit hypes them up)
Kermit: Whisper and Nicole! (he and the moon rise up)
The stage curtains open to reveal Nicole on a kitchen like set as the song 'Shake it Off' begins to play. Nicole sets the laundry down and opens the washing machine and begins pulling clothes out as she sings
Nicole: I stay out too late,
Got nothin' in my brain
That's what people say,
That's what people say
When the last of the clothes is removed it reveals Whisper's helmeted face in the washing machine set piece.
Whisper: I go on too many dates,
Nicole's kids and their friends while Richard smiles amused and as Kermit looks worried, he sees the small audience likes it
But I can't make 'em stay
At least that's what people say,
At this point Whisper bursts his head, arms and legs out of the washing machine and dances with Nicole a bit
That's what people say
Kent: (chuckles at this and looks at his cameraman) Are you getting this? (He didn't want to admit yet but so far this has been not the disaster he and other outlets expected this to be but still early)
Meanwhile Nicole and Whisper dance together as they get to the next verse
Nicole: But I keep cruisin'
Can't stop, won't stop movin'
It's like I got this music in my mind
Saying it's gonna be alright
Nicole then enters into the fridge set piece and as the beat drops, we see flashes of Nicole's growing silhouette as she begins changing out of her clothes into a new costume and in a flash the kitchn set is removed and her family upon seeing gasp in amazement. Nicole was no in a black leotard costime with a matching headdress and feather tail.
Nicole: I never miss a beat,
I'm lightning on my feet
And that's what they don't see,
That's what they don't see
At that point Whisper then fully bursts out of the washing machine set piece showing he was in a black armour costume and the two start dancing .
Both: Players gonna play, play, play, play, play
And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate
Baby, I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake
The following line we see the kids joining in on dancing and singing along with Nicole and Whisper
I shake it off, I shake it off
Meanwhile we see Roman and Neo walking along the street, they were passing by a small crowd watching the TV in a store window which was showing the Muppet Theatre performance. Seeing it the two stop and get closer to watch.
"Hmmmm, well she certainly improved in her dancing" Roman said and Neo nods in agreement
"Oh, aren't they great?" A man named Carl said to his friend Lenny as both enjoyed the show
"What are you kidding me?" Roman asked shocked "I admit it's not griding on ears, but it isn't a true form of musical art" Neo folds her arms and nods at that
"Oh, and I'm sure you can do any better huh eyeliner boy" Carl said mocking Roman and the crowd laughs
"Yeah, I bet you can't do it" Lenny adds in laughing
"You know what fine, you all want to see something great, I will give it to you." Roman said, safety be dammed he was going to prove he is a better performer "Neo back to the theatre!"
The two leave while the crowd still laugh not believing him.
Back at the theatre the song Nicole and Whisper were singing and dancing still
Nicole: Heartbreakers gonna break, (Freestyle dances and points to Whisper)
Whisper: Fakers gonna fake, (Freestyle dances and points back to Nicole)
Nicole: I'm just gonna shake,
Both move to a good distance away, preparing for the grand finale of their number
Both: I shake it off, I shake it off
Nicole runs forward and jumps up and Whisper cataches her and begins spinning her around
shake it off, shake it off, ah-ah
Watching it Maria, Rita and Runt looking in sheer surprise while Kermit is in sheer amazement of it.
I shake it off, I shake it off, ah-ah
For the final touch Whisper throws Nicole into the air a bit
I shake it off, I shake it off, ah-ah
I shake it off, I shake it off, ah-ah
Whisper then catches Nicole and swings her by and arm and a leg
I shake it off, I shake it off, ah-ah
By the end Whisper lets her go and she slides a bit and the two strike a pose ending on a strong note.
The audience cheer and applaud but none more so than Nicole's kids and their friends, meanwhile Richard sits there looking stunned at what he saw in amazement. During this Nicole and Whisper exchange smiling looks both proud they pulled it off.
Nicole wasn't sure at the start when the contest first opened if she could really work with the knight but she has grown to learn a lot from him and can confidently call him a friend. Whisper helps her up
Kermet: (runs onto the stage) Whisper and Nicole! (the two bow, Just then all the kids began to run onto the stage) Kids no!
The kids didn't stop and storm the stage to dogpile on Nicole
Nicole: Okay! Okay! Ah! (she is forced down and is buried but gets her head out) Richard!
Richard snaps out of his stunned trance and gets up running up onto the stage and pulls his wife up. He then dips her and the two exchange a kiss in true love
Whisper: (seeing this laughs) Haha! Yes! Amazing power! (he poses)
Smiling Wiz pulls a leaver to close the curtains on the scene as the audience claps
Darwin: (running back out) That was great! (Richard grabs and pulls him back behind the curtain) Ah!
The made the audience laugh and we then see more people of Dragonville begin to pour into the theatre.
Kent: (smiling) Well it seems I'm not the only one who seemed to have enjoyed that. Crowds are beginning to form onto the scene.
Indeed, despite having everything against them from the media to the public, the opening act of this show managed to burst through the doubts to impress everyone enough to actually come out to watch what they had on next.
Back behind the scenes the kids were still on a small, excited rampage as Kermit and Nicole were held down
Kermit: Help!
Nicole: (laughs) I'm so sorry Mr. Kermit
Kermit: (knowing he can't actively get on stage to announce looks to Mondo who was off stage) Mondo, you're next on!
Mondo nods and gets himself ready, he was going to prove he wasn't some future criminal, he can be a singer despite his appearance
Well the first act went well, but how will Mondo's act go
