Gwen's Song
As Bane runs through Dragonville to reach the Muppet Theatre while the cops mount a manhunt for him with helicopeters one spotting him with a search light and pursues him.
We then see more people arriving at the theatre, one of them however isn't here to see and enjoy the show, unknown to Kermit or the others Cinch has arrived and she was not too happy with this show being put on and makes her way to the stage
"Alright, welcome to all you newcomers!" Kermit said to the audience excited at the massive positive reception this was getting "You are just in time to meet a teenager who was recently dumped by her boyfriend"
The caused the audience to aww in sad in learning that fact
"I know right, but she's going to chase those blues away with a song of her very own" Kermit said nodding and smiling "Allow me to introduce the singing sensation, Gwen!" The audience cheer and Kermit sees Gwen's outfit as they pass and he smiles at that
Added to Gwen's outfit she also had Heather's sunglasses that she left at her place and Gwen never returned. She flips them on and then strums on her guitar making a loud noice that shakes the foundation of the stage a bit. But before she starts singing it cuts off
People gasp as they look and see standing near the sound system was Cinch who removed the jack for Gwen's guitar.
"Cinch!" Kermit said surprised stepping back
Cinch walks on stage and address the crowd saying "You are all trespassing on private property…"
"What?!" Kermit said in the middle of that
"….and you will leave right now" Cinch finished demanding
"No,no,no,no Cinch" Kermit said pleading with her
"All of you!" Cinch demanded
This made the audience gasp and it saddens the others. One audience member calls out "What are you doing?!"
Suddenly some feet stomping gets there attention and they see Gwen was doing it to a beat, she wasn't going to let Cinch ruin her or the others chance to perform. As she stomps the audience smile and begin clapping to the beat. Gwen then begins to sing her song 'Set it All Free'
Gwen: I followed my heart into the fire
Got burned, got broken down by desire
I tried, I tried but the smoke in my eyes
Left me blurry, blurry and blind
As she picks up the pace with her singing getting into it, she removes Heather's sunglasses and throws them into the crowd as the audience cheers
I picked all the pieces up off the ground
Got dirt on my fingers but that's gone now
Cinch angered at her demands being ignored said to Kermit "I am calling the police" with that she storms off the stage while Wiz and Kermit look at each other and the frog shrugs.
Got the glue in my hands, and stickin' to the plan
Stickin' to the plan that says "I can"
Gwen as she sings feels a tug and looks to see Kermit holding the wire and jack to her guitar
Do anything at all
I can do anything at all
Kermit bows to her and plugs her guitar back in. Gwen smiles and turns her guitar on and sets it and plays it as she got to the chorus
This is my kiss goodbye
You can stand alone and watch me fly
The audience cheer and jump to it, Cinch tries to make her way through the audience to go and get the police, but the crowd wasn't making it easy for her

We then come to what looks to a TV being turned off and see Heather and Duncan, sitting is no doubt Heather's apartment. They had been watching the show and with Gwen, Heather turned it off not impressed, Duncan however was another story
"Ugh, seriously that weird goth girl isn't all that good" Heather said getting up and throws the remote on the couch as she leaves
"Geez, yeah, yeah. Totally" Duncan said with a forced smile in agreement. However once Heather had left the room, he quickly gets the remote and turns the TV back on.
He was amazed how good Gwen was, too bad he blew his chances with her through.

The performance was going well, Gwens friends were enjoying it too, Whisper, Rita and Runt were even dancing to the music.
I can finally see, it's not just a dream

As she does the guitar solo and gets into it she waves her head and the quills from the wig she wore began to go everywhere people quickly duck and covered to avoid being hit, except for Mondo who wasn't focused on it but luckily wasn't hit
Cinch also didn't duck as she was focused trying to get out. When she turned to see what was happening on stage she got hit by several quills

Whisper and Nicole dance to Gwen's song while Rita and Runt bop their heads to it. Gwen was nearing the end of her song.
I can finally see, it's not just a dream

With her song done Gwen finishes with the rockstar slide on the stage and guitar riff. However not hearing anything yet she opens her eyes and sees the audience in a duck and covered state and all the quill everywhere while her wig falls off
Gwen awkwardly goes back to the mic and asked "Err…are you all okay?"
Much to her surprise everyone gets up and cheers for her, Cinch meanwhile stood where she was mortified and covered in quills, not that anyone around her cared
Just then the Inkling girls rush up to the stage and chant "Gwen! Gwen! Gwen!" Gwen smiles happily at the response
Kermit excited comes up on stage covered in about three quills and said "What about that! Hahahaha! We just witnessed the birth of a genuine rockstar!"
Gwen smiled concerned said "Kermit, you got some stuff here" she then removes on of the quills
"Ow!" Kermit let out
Looks like they got a bit of a clean-up before the next act.
Well we have at least 2 chapters left in this story
