House of Comas:

Victor was still in shock to learn that the paramedic couldn't hear Nina's heartbeat.

"Is she...?" asked Victor.

"Wait! I hear it, but it's very soft," said the paramedic.

"Did she hit her head on something?" asked the other paramedic.

"Not that I know," said Victor.

"That's strange, she seems to be in some sort of coma," said the paramedic.

The paramedics carefully lifted Nina onto the stretcher and took her to the ambulance.

In the meantime. The residents were waiting for the bus.

"Hey dude how are you holding up? Asked Eddie.

"My girlfriend is hurt and I can't be with her. So I'm not doing that well, said Fabian.

"Nina's strong, she'll be fine, said Eddie.

"I just want to be with her, said Fabian.

Back at the castle. Raven burst into the room.

"Where is the Ankh?" Asked Raven.

"I don't know," said Victor.

"You didn't hide it did you?" Asked Raven

"No, I haven't seen it," said Victor.

"Did someone take it?" Asked Raven

"I don't know," said Victor.

"Without the Ankh, we'll never find the love tomb," said Raven

"I know that," said Victor.

Raven grabbed Victor by the collar and pushed him against the wall.

"The Ankh is the key! I need it back! Or else you will pay the price," said Raven.

"Someone must have taken it," said Victor.

"Who then?" Asked Raven.

"Maybe those kids or maybe Mr. Griffin," said Victor.

"You don't have it, do you?" Asked Raven.

"No," said Victor

"You really don't have it?" Asked Raven.

"No, I swear," said Victor.

Raven let go of Victor and walked to the wall with the documents.

"No!" shouted Raven.

"What is it?" Asked Victor.

"Nina she still has the locket around her neck," said Raven.

"We'll have to get it back," said Victor.

"You! You must get it back and immediately. And find that Ankh," said Raven.

"I search every inch, but that Ankh is...," said Victor.

But before Victor could finish his sentence, Raven was gone.

Half an hour later and the bus had arrived. The Anubis residents got on the bus. And Victor was walking through the woods and saw the bus pull away and ran after it. Amber and Alfie saw Victor coming.

Hey look there you've Victor, said Alfie.

"What is he doing?" Asked Amber.

"I think he's trying to wave us goodbye," said Alfie.

Amber and Alfie waved at Victor and the bus drove off leaving Victor in the woods.

A few moments later. Fabian sat quietly on the bus. Fabian could only think about Nina and kept reading her letter. The rest of the club was sitting together, but they weren't thinking about it either.

"Are you guys worried about Nina too?" Asked Aaron.

"I just don't understand what happened to her," said Amber.

"All we can do is wait for her to wake up again," said Patricia.

"That is if she wakes up," said Alfie.

"Now is not the time to say such things Alfie," said Aaron.

"Is it? Do you think that Nina like her grandmother and Fabian's uncle, you know," said Amber.

"That the curse has something to do with it," said Patricia.

"Poor Nina," said Amber.

"Poor Fabian," said Patricia.

"Poor us," said Alfie.

In the meantime, Jerome also sat quietly on the bus. Jerome still couldn't believe that Mr. Griffin was always threatening. Mara noticed that Jerome was very quiet.

"Is everything alright?" Asked Mara.

"Yes, why are you asking?" Asked Jerome.

"Because you're so quiet," said Mara.

"I..," said Jerome, not knowing what to say.

"Are you about Nina too?" Asked Mara.

"Yes," said Jerome, which not really a lie, because was worried about Nina.

"It's so awful what happened to her," said Mara.

"Yes, I hope she's okay," said Jerome.

"Me too," said Mara.

Mara rested her head on Jerome's shoulder.

Nearly two hours later, the residents were back at Anubis house. Trudy gave all residents a hug.

"Oh my sweeties, are you okay? Mr. Griffin called me and told me everything," said Trudy.

"Do you know something about Nina?" Asked Fabian.

"Mr. Griffin told me that she's in the hospital now," said Trudy.

"Is she awake yet?" Asked Fiona.

"Unfortunately no," said Trudy.

"What's wrong with her?" Asked Fabian

"What did the doctor say?" Asked Amber.

"They can't say anything now. We'll have to wait and see, but we're not going to give up hope," said Trudy.

"How about we've a cup of tea right now," suggested Joy.

"Of course you've earned that and with something delicious on the side," said Trudy. "Is everyone hungry?" She asked.

"Yes, I could an whole ostrich family right about now," said Otis.

Suddenly the door opened and Victor entered. Victor was totally dirty.

"Victor!" Said Patricia.

"Victor?" Asked Trudy.

"You! you bunch of miscreants, I had to be on that bus too," said Victor.

"Oh I thought you came to say goodbye to us," said Amber.

"Of course not," said Victor.

"How did you get here then?" Asked Mr. Sweet.

"Hitching a ride with a compost truck," joked Alfie.

"I heard that. I got a lift," said Victor.

"From a garbage truck?" Joked Otis.

"From a pig farmer," said Victor.

Some residents started laughing.

"Well what a day Victor. Luckily you found Nina. Where was she actually? Asked Mr. Sweet.

"At the bottom of the ravine," said Victor.

"That is not where she was laying," said Fabian.

"That is where I found her," said Victor.

"But...," said Amber, but Victor interrupted her.

"I'm going to freshen up," said Victor.

Victor walked upstairs and the residents went to the living room.

A few hours later. The club was in Nina and Amber's room. Fabian sat on Nina's bed and read her letter again.

"Fabian," said Amber.

"Fabian join us, we can't do this without you," said Aaron.

"We can't do this without Nina," said Fabian.

"We've to and especially for her you've to be here too," said Aaron.

Fabian sat down with the rest of the club.

"I just feel so guilty. If Nina is also in a coma now," said Fabian.

"Then we can wake her up again, I'm sure we can do it," said Amber.

"But then we have to stick together, okay," said Amber.

"Okay deal," said Fabian.

"Sibuna, said the club, while they did the Sibuna gesture.

"Okay what are we going to do?" Asked Patricia.

We go to Nina," said Amber.

"And then? What do we do then?" Asked Patricia.

"We need to go to Nina, we need to do a checkup," said Fabian.

"Isn't that what the doctor already does?" Asked Amber.

"No Amber, take look around. Maybe she's already awake or there's something on her patient card. We've to do something," said Fabian.

"Now?" Asked Aaron.

"Tonight?" Asked Patricia.

"As soon as possible," said Fabian.

"How are we all going to get out of here?" Asked Alfie.

"Not all of us, but with just the two that should work," said Fabian.

The club agreed with Fabian.

In the meantime. Jerome lay in his bed, but couldn't sleep. Jerome could only think about the fact that Mr. Griffin was evil all this time.

Back in Nina and Amber's room. The club had decided to draw straws.

"Okay the two who draws the longest straws, can go see Nina," said Patricia.

Every club member drew a straw and Amber and Aaron had the longest. Fabian disappointed that he hadn't draw the longest straw.

"You go," said Aaron.

"Really?" Asked Fabian

"Yeah, go see your girl," said Aaron.

Fabian was happy to go to the hospital in Aaron's place. Amber looked a little sad.

"But what if Nina doesn't wake up," said Amber.

"Then it's the curse," said Patricia.

"Curses don't exist. And if it does exist, then we just have to solve the riddle," said Fabian.

"For Nina," said Amber.

"For Nina," said the rest of club.

The club did their Sibuna gesture and got ready to sneak out of the house.

In the meantime. Victor was sitting in his office when the phone rang.

"Victor Rodenmaar speaking," said Victor.

"The Ankh?" Asked Raven.

"I don't know where it is," said Victor.

"Then you look for it. Those kids must have it, keep an eye on them," ordered Raven.

"And Nina? What if she wakes up and she remembers something," said Victor.

"I'll take care of that," said Raven.

"Yes but I...," said Victor.

But before Victor could say anything, Raven hung up the phone. Unbeknownst to Victor Raven was already in the hospital as Mr. Griffin.

Half an hour later. Aaron, Patricia, and Alfie helped Fabian and Amber out of the house. Suddenly the door to the living room opened. Fabian, Amber, Aaron and Alfie managed to hide in the boy's bathroom just in time. Patricia walked up to Victor to distract him.

"Victor I can't sleep," said Patricia.

"Ms. Williamson, then you just have to count some sheep," said Victor.

"I've already counted 1001 sheep. But I'm just so worried about Nina," said Patricia.

"What is it?" Asked Victor.

"A ravine is very deep. What if she has a skull base or something like that or a concussion," said Patricia.

"A skull base fracture," said Victor.

"Does she have that? Oh no," said Patricia.

"No she hasn't. And now go to bed," said Victor.

While Patricia distracted Victor, the rest of the club slipped into the kitchen. Fabian and Amber climbed out the window.

"Text me when you're back and I'll open the door," said Aaron.

"Yeah, make sure Victor doesn't catches you," said Fabian.

"Same goes for you," said Aaron.

"Good luck," said Alfie.

Fabian and Amber quickly grabbed their bikes and left. Aaron and Alfie went back to their rooms.

In the meantime in the hospital. Mr. Griffin was looking for the locket. Then a nurse came in with a basin and towel

"Is she awake yet?" Asked the nurse.

"No, not yet," said Mr. Griffin.

"Why don't you go home, you look dead tired," said the nurse.

"Really? Do I look that bad?" Asked Mr. Griffin.

"No, you don't look bad. I mean you could use some sleep," said the nurse.

"Yes, you're probably right," said Mr. Griffin.

The nurse dipped the towel in the basin and carefully placed in on Nina's forehead.

"You'd think she'd wake up any minute now," said the nurse.

"I hope so. I want to be there when that happens," said Mr. Griffin.

"You can't stay here all the time, that's a little crazy," said the nurse.

"I know," said Mr. Griffin.

"How about a compromise. You give me your phone number and I'll call you when she wakes up," said the nurse

"Would you really do that? Asked Mr. Griffin.

"Of course, said the nurse

"Promise? Asked Mr. Griffin,

"Scout's honor, said the nurse.

Mr. Griffin gave the nurse his card.

Back at the house. Ryan lay awake in his bed and Eddie was sleeping.

"Have you seen any cute girls there?" Asked Ryan.

"What?" Asked Eddie, still half asleep.

"Were there cute girls where you staying?" Asked Ryan.

"Is that why you wake me up?" Asked Eddie. "There was nothing there," he said.

"I would have loved to have been there, if I hadn't been for that stupid stomach virus," said Ryan.

"Trust me you didn't miss a thing," said Eddie.

Then Ryan noticed that Fabian's bed was empty.

"Fabian is sitting cozy with Nina of course," said Ryan.

"Nina is in the hospital, remember?" Said Eddie.

"Oh yeah forgot that for a second," said Ryan.

"Not that it matters to you," said Eddie.

"That Nina is one good looking chick. Just a bit of a shame she has with that bookworm," said Ryan.

"What do you mean by that?" Asked Eddie.

"She choose brainy Smurf, while she can get a Ken," said Ryan.

"And you think you're Ken?" asked Eddie.

"Of course I'm," said Ryan.

Ryan started singing the Smurfs song in mocking tone.

"Listen Ryan, you can forget about Nina, said Eddie.

"That relationship wasn't that good to begin with, said Ryan.

"Trust me it's better than ever between those two, so I'd best stay away from her and all the girls in this house, said Eddie.

Eddie went back to sleep and Ryan went to sleep too.

In the meantime. Fabian and Amber had arrived at the hospital. Fabian walked to the reception.

"Can I help you?" Asked the nurse.

"Yes, I'm looking for Nina Martin, do you know where she is?" Asked Fabian.

"Visiting hours ended about five hours ago," said the nurse

"I know that. I don't even want to visit, I just want to know where she staying," said Fabian.

"Are you family?" Asked the nurse.

"No, she's my girlfriend," said Fabian.

"I'm sorry, we don't tell that kind of information to boyfriends, only to immediate family," said the nurse.

"I just want...," said Fabian.

The nurse gave Fabian a look and Fabian walked back to Amber.

"Now what are we going to do?" Asked Amber.

"She won't say where she is," said Fabian.

"But is it's on the computer right?" Asked Amber.

"She isn't going to leave her post," said Fabian.

Amber closed her eyes and placed her finger on the side of her head.

"What are you doing?" Asked Fabian.

"I'm thinking what Nancy Ninja would do," said Amber.

"Who?" Asked Fabian.

Then Amber saw some coats and hats hanging and saw a wheelchair and got an idea.

"I've got it," said Amber.

"What is it?" Asked Fabian.

"Just come with me," said Amber.

Two minutes later. Fabian and Amber were dressed and Fabian pushed Amber in wheelchair towards the reception. Amber was pretending to be in labor and was puffing.

"Hurry up honey, hurry!" Shouted Amber.

"Are you having a child?" Asked the nurse.

"No, I swallowed a watermelon," said Amber.

"When did the contractions start?" Asked the nurse.

"Get a doctor quickly!" Shouted Amber.

"I'm going to get a doctor. Breath in breath out, said the nurse.

The nurse walked away. Fabian walked over to the computer and found out which room Nina was in.

"Neurology room 8," said Fabian.

"Neurology that's where Nina's grandmother is lying too," said Amber.

Fabian and Amber went to Nina's room. A few minutes later and they arrived at Nina's room.

"Nina," said Amber.

"Nina," said Fabian.

Nina's eyes moved. Fabian and Amber couldn't believe it, was she going to wake up

"What are you doing here?" Asked a voice that is familiar to Fabian and Amber.

Fabian and Amber turned and saw Mr. Griffin standing. What is Mr. Griffin going to do with Fabian and Amber. And was Nina really going to wake up from her coma?
