House of Ebony:

Fabian was still in the nursing home visiting his uncle. Fabian still couldn't believe what his uncle told about the purple lotus flower, that it would want living flesh.

"Living flesh?" Asked Fabian.

"Beware of the man with the poison," said Ade.

"Poison? What man?" Asked Fabian.

"The poison that makes you forget," said Ade.

"Did that happen to you?" Asked Fabian.

"What?" Asked Ade.

"Were you poisoned? Did someone poison you?" Asked Fabian.

"Me? No," said Ade.

"But," said Fabian.

"Don't let Amneris down," said Ade.

Ade gave Fabian the keys to his shop. Fabian didn't know what to think anymore. Fabian got up and left the nursing home.

Back at school. Jerome was still in Mr. Griffin's room.

"You can guarantee my father's release?" Asked Jerome.

"I give you my word," said Mr. Griffin.

"What do I need to do?" Asked Jerome.

Mr. Griffin walked over to Jerome, Jerome stood up and walked back.

"My name may be Griffin, but I'm not a monster," said Mr. Griffin.

"Is that your real name?" Asked Jerome.

"I know this is difficult for you. I can promise you that I can really arrange something for your father," said Mr. Griffin.

"And what do you want me to do?" Asked Jerome.

"You will hear from me," said Mr. Griffin.

The bell rang and Jerome left the room.

A few moments later. The Anubis residents had Ms. Delaney's French class. Fabian walked into the classroom.

"Fabian Rutter you're late," said Ms. Delaney

"Sorry Ms. Delaney, I was visiting my uncle at the Nursing Home and forgot the time, said Fabian.

"Oh, I won't make a note of it this time . Quickly sit down and quietly do the assignment on the board," said Ms. Delaney.

"Yes, Ms. Delaney," said Fabian

Fabian sat down next to Aaron.

"And do you've the information about the seeds?" Asked Aaron.

"Yes, I'll tell you later," said Fabian.

Fabian took his books out of his bag and started making the assignment on the board.

The school day was soon over. All the residents were at home. The club was in the kitchen helping out Trudy.

"I've got news of the seeds, said Fabian.

"And? Asked Patricia.

"Look, said Fabian, as he showed the keys of the shop to the club.

"I know I'm not the smartest person in the club, but even I know that there are no seeds, said Amber.

"This is the key to my uncle's shop. He was talking about an ebony box that they should be in. We've "to go to the shop, said Fabian.

"Right now? Asked Alfie

"No, tomorrow morning, said Fabian.

"But then it's Saturday, complained Amber.

"That is perfect, then we've got all day to look, said Aaron.

"Are all of us going? Asked Amber.

"No, somebody stay here with Nina," said Fabian.

"I'll stay here and look after Nina," said Patricia.

"Thanks Patricia," said Fabian.

"No problem," said Patricia.

"Okay then the four of go to the shop," said Fabian.

What the club didn't know was Victor had heard the entire conversation. Victor walked to his office and called Raven.

"I've got news for you," said Victor.

"What?" Asked Raven.

"Two things. First of all, Fabian is going out early tomorrow morning, I think to his uncle's shop," said Victor.

"Ade Rutter's shop? Asked Raven.

"Yes," said Victor.

"I hope second news is a little more impressive," said Raven.

"I think I found a way to find the Ankh and the wall," said Victor.

"How?" Asked Raven

"I've a recipe for a truth serum," said Victor.

"You're kidding right? Asked Raven," not believing Victor.

"No, if I give that to them I'll find out where the wall is and the Ankh are," said Victor.

"Call me when it's done," said Raven.

Raven hung up the phone. Victor got up and left his office.

A few hours later. Patricia and Eddie were sitting together in the living room eating some ice cream and on their date.

"This is nice, well done Yacker," said Eddie.

"I had to make it up to you," said Patricia.

"Because of Ryan?" Asked Eddie.

"Yes, I should listen to you from the start," said Patricia.

"Like I said it doesn't matter, a lot of girls are easily attracted to Ryan and he knows that," said Eddie.

"I can't believe he's Trudy's son, she's so sweet and he's a jerkish sleazeball," said Patricia.

"But unlike the girls from the surf camp, you girls realized sooner that he was a no good rat. So I got give you credit for that," said Eddie.

"Let's not talk about him anymore, Ryan has left and that's sad for Trudy, but good for us, said Patricia.

Patricia and Eddie leaned forward and faces closer and closer, their lips inches away, as the clock struck ten. Victor was just about to start his ten o'clock ritual when he looked into the living room and saw Patricia and Eddie sitting.

"It's ten o'clock you know what that means, you two have got precisely five minutes to go to your rooms and I want to hear a pin drop," said Victor.

Patricia and Eddie got up and went to their own rooms.

In the meantime in Nina and Amber's room. Nina and Amber were chatting.

"Are you okay? Is it going well with your recovery?" Asked Amber.

"Yes, I'm doing fine," said Nina.

"Is that because of the rest or because of Fabian?" Asked Amber, in a teasing way.

"Fabian?" Asked Nina.

"Yes, Fabian, you know your boyfriend," said Amber.

"I know who Fabian is," said Nina.

"Are you in love?" Asked Amber.

"Yes, I think so," said Nina.

"Well let me tell you that I think that you and Fabian are totes adorbs," said Amber.

"Thank you, I think," said Nina.

Nina and Amber went to sleep. A few minutes later and all the residents were asleep.

While the residents were sleeping, Victor was preparing the truth serum in his cellar.

"A few more hours at a constant temperature and then a few drops from behind the truth," said Victor.

The next day, it was early in the morning. Fabian was in Alfie's room trying to wake Alfie.

"Alfie," said Fabian.

"What are you doing?" asked Alfie, as he was still half asleep.

"What are you doing? Come on we gotta go," said Fabian.

"Where are we going?" Asked Alfie.

"To the shop," said Fabian.

"It's not even 7:00 am, the shops are still closed," said Alfie, as he looked his alarm clock.

"To my uncle's shop," said Fabian.

"Oh yeah, said Alfie.

"Hurry up," said Fabian.

Alfie got out of bed and quickly changed. Fabian and Alfie left the room and went to Ade's store with Amber and Aaron. But what Fabian and Alfie didn't know was that Jerome was awake and had heard everything.

A short while later. Fabian, Amber, Aaron and Alfie had arrived at Fabian's uncle's shop. Fabian took the keys from his pocket and opened the door.

At the same time, Jerome was on the phone with Mr. Griffin to give him information.

"The four of them have gone to Fabian's uncle's shop," said Jerome.

"Of Ade Rutter," said Mr. Griffin.

"Yes that one. And now?" Asked Jerome.

"What mean and now?" Asked Mr. Griffin.

"My father. You promised me," said Jerome.

"Then you must do much better than give me old information, said Mr. Griffin.

Mr. Griffin hung up. What Jerome didn't know was that Mr. Griffin was already with Fabian's uncle's bag. Mr. Griffin saw Fabian, Amber, Aaron and Alfie enter the shop. Mr. Griffin put on his Raven mask and followed them inside.

Fabian turned on the light and began to search. Alfie knocked every box he saw. Aaron was looking and Amber just stood there.

"Amber it would be useful if you would also help with the search, said Fabian.

"One question, said Amber.

"What is it? Asked Fabian.

"What is ebony?" Asked Amber.

"Ebony is a special kind of wood, it is made of whale bones and human bones," said Alfie.

"Eww, that's so gross," said Amber.

"How can something made of wood be made of bones. Ebony is just a tropical wood," said Fabian.

The boys continued to search and Amber went to do her makeup. Alfie knocked on every box he saw again and this irritated Amber.

"Alfie will you please stop it with that knocking," said Amber.

"Listen I don't open a box until I knock on it, who knows there might be something in it," said Alfie.

"Then why would you knock on it?" Asked Amber

"So if it's knocks back then there's something in it," said Alfie.

"Okay now I'm too scared to look," said Amber

"Alfie is just trying scaring you, don't listen to him," said Aaron.

Amber walked through the store and looked for the ebony box. Amber a box she liked. Amber took the box and knocked on it and then heard a knock herself. Amber was shocked by this. Amber turned and saw someone wearing a big scary mask. Amber started to scream. Fabian and Aaron walked towards it. The person removed the mask and it was Alfie who was scaring Amber again.

"What is going on here?" Asked Aaron.

"He has been scaring me the whole time we've been here," said Amber.

"I'm just trying to prepare you for what can really happen," said Alfie.

"There's nothing here or anyone to be afraid of," said Fabian.

"But, said Amber.

"We've got to find that ebony box, said Fabian.

But what Fabian, Aaron and Alfie didn't know was that Raven was in the shop watching them.

A few moments later in the house. The rest of the residents were up and sitting at the table. Trudy came into the living room and put a basket of moldy bread on the table and went back to the kitchen.

"It's covered with mold," said Eddie.

"This is gross," said Joy.

"Is there no normal bread or something?" Asked Patricia.

"I'm afraid the birds are enjoying that now," said Fiona.

"Poor Trudy, she's really not well," said Mara.

"What's up with Trudy?" Asked Victor, as he entered the livings room.

"Nothing," said Otis

"Yummy that looks delicious as usual," said Patricia.

"I'm so hungry," said Otis.

"Delicious? That bread is moldy," said Victor

"Yes, but that's how it supposed to be. It's like blue cheese, but now it's blue bread," lied Patricia.

"Oh yeah?" Asked Victor.

"Yes," lied Patricia.

"Then eat it," ordered Victor.

"Now?" Asked Patricia.

"Yes. Why not?" Asked Victor.

Patricia took the bread and took a bite out of it. Victor walked away again and Patricia spat the bread out of her mouth. Patricia took a sip of her orange juice.

"If we're not going to eat, we might as well come up with something for the new edition of the school paper," suggested Mara.

"But our latest edition isn't even out yet," said Otis.

"We can just brainstorm," said Mara.

"As nice as that sounds, I'm going to bring some kind of breakfast to Nina first," said Patricia.

Patricia grabbed two pieces of bread that weren't moldy and put them on a plate. Patricia picked up a tray and put the food on it and went upstairs. Patricia entered Nina's room.

Hey, said Patricia.

"Hi," said Nina.

"Well I brought you some kind of breakfast. Trudy is not doing well at all," said Patricia, as she put the tray on Nina's nightstand and sat down.

"Oh I can see that. It doesn't matter, I'm not that hungry," said Nina.

"Yes I can understand that, said Patricia.

"But I'm kinda thirsty," said Nina.

Patricia handed the orange juice to Nina and Nina took a sip.

"So rumor has it you had a date with Eddie yesterday," said Nina.

"How do you know that?" Asked Patricia.

"How do you think I know?" Asked Nina.

"Amber told you," said Patricia

"Who else then the 'Queen of Rumors'," said Nina.

"Is everything alright? Asked Patricia.

"Yes. It's just Fabian, Amber, Aaron and Alfie have gone to Fabian's uncle's shop to get the lotus flower seeds, but I'm a little nervous," said Nina.

"Don't worry, those four must have everything under control, said Patricia.

Back at the store. The four club members were still looking for the ebony box. Suddenly Amber screamed.

"What is it?" Asked Fabian.

"I did nothing, I'm standing here," said Alfie.

"I thought I saw a mouse," said Amber.

"Well, now it's gone anyway," said Aaron.

"What if he comes back?" Asked Amber.

"Come on focus, Where can seed lie?" Asked Fabian.

"Seed can be in a birdcage, does that make sense?" Asked Alfie, as he spotted a birdcage.

"Do you think so? I think it's pretty farfetched," said Fabian.

Alfie walked to the birdcage and grabbed it was a started to joke around again.

"Come on Alfie stop it with the jokes," said Aaron.

"Alfie now it's enough, it's not even funny," said Amber.

"Come on guys I'm just kidding," said Alfie.

"It's enough, we'll never find the box like this," said Fabian.

Fabian walked away. Suddenly Alfie saw something in the birdcage.

"Fabian stop walking," said Alfie.

"What is it?" Asked Fabian.

"Look what I've got here," said Alfie, as he spotted the ebony box.

"The ebony box," said Amber.

"It's really in the birdcage," said Fabian.

Alfie took the box out of the birdcage and handed it to Fabian. Fabian opens the box and in the box were the seeds. Amber and Alfie did a little celebration dance and Fabian and Aaron joined them. Fabian accidentally dropped the box, Alfie picked it up and handed it to Amber. Amber headed for the exit when she saw Raven standing and froze out of fear. The three boys came running and saw Raven too. Raven approached Amber.

"What do you want?" Asked Fabian.

Raven said nothing and pointed to the ebony box. Will the club be able to keep the box out of Raven's hands or will he get the box in his hands?
