House of Flesh:

It was the middle of the night. Up stood with open mouth to look at the plant that was really huge.

"Nina!" Shouted Amber.

"Amber!" Shouted Amber, as she woke up with a scare.

"Look," said Amber.

Nina turned on her light and looked at the plant.

Whoa! It's doing well," said Nina.

"Doing well? It's a giant, out of nowhere," said Amber.

Nina got up and walked towards the plant.

"That's nice, isn't it," said Amber.

"I find it scary," said Amber.

"It's just a plant," said Nina.

Nina wanted to touch one of the leaves to inspect.

"Don't do that," said Amber.

Amber went to her bed and grabbed her sheet and pillow and went to Nina's bed.

"What are you doing?" Asked Nina.

"I'm going to lie under the bed, said Amber, as she went under Nina's bed.

"Why?" Asked Nina.

"Then I'm safer," said Amber.

"Don't be silly, you can lie in bed with me," said Nina.

"No, I'm staying down here," said Amber.

Nina went back to her bed and lay down.

"Good night," said Amber.

"Good night," said Nina.

Nina turned off her light and went to sleep. And the plant just kept growing.

The next morning. Nina was startled by Amber grabbing her arm. Nina looked at Amber's bed, which was covered with branches. Amber came out from under Nina's bed and sat on Nina's bed.

"Amber," said Nina.

"That plant is on my bed. I told you so," said Amber.

Nina and Amber looked at the plants and saw a large purple flower.

"Look!" Said Amber.

"The lotus flower," said Nina.

Nina got up and walked to the plant, Amber followed her. Nina reached out for the flower.

"No, do not do that," said Amber.

"Why not?" Asked Nina.

"Well maybe it bites or eats your toes or something," said Amber.

"Maybe it's going to eat you shoes," said Nina.

"Oh no not my shoes!" Shouted Amber.

Amber ran away from the plant and grabbed her shoes and sat on Nina's bed. Nina walked back to her bed, a big smile on her face.

"Are you so happy that you can go back to school?" Asked Amber.

"Also and because this plant is growing so fast," said Nina.

"Ha-ha very funny," said Amber, sarcastically.

"Yes, that way we're faster with a new task. And this way I can see Fabian more often," said Nina

"More often? You see him every day," said Amber.

"Yeah so?" Asked Nina.

"If you see him too often then it's way too boring," said Amber

"No, that won't happen to us. But I'm going to him now, because he has to check out this plant," said Nina.

"Okay," said Amber.

Nina got up and left the room. Suddenly Amber noticed one of the branches coming her way. Amber got up and fled the room.

At the same time. Joy walked to the bathroom and at the same time Mara and Fiona came running.

"Oh you want to use the bathroom too?" Asked Mara.

"Yes, I want to brush my teeth," said Joy.

"We were just about to do that," said Mara.

"We can just share the bathroom," suggested Fiona.

Mara, Joy and Fiona entered the bathroom. The three girls walked over to the sink and began brushing their teeth.

"Do you still wanna go out with Greg?" Asked Mara.

"I don't know," said Joy.

"You do not know? Yesterday you were totally in to him," said Fiona.

"I know, but when he kissed me at the ceremony, the kiss felt so different," said Joy.

"Every kiss feels different. My first kiss with Mick was special and after that the kisses were nice, but not as special as that first kiss," said Mara.

"Yeah, I didn't feel a thing when Greg kissed me, no spark," said Joy.

"What are you going to do with Greg now?" Asked Fiona.

"No idea," said Joy.

The three girls continued to brush their teeth.

In the meantime. Nina had made it to the rest of the club to check the plant. Amber blocked the door.

"Don't go in!" Said Amber.

"We've to go inside," said Nina.

"No, don't go in," said Amber.

Nina managed to open the door and went in with the club.

"Wow it turned out really beautiful," said Fabian.

"No, Fabian it bites," said Amber

"Hey amber what is it?" Asked Patricia.

Fabian thought back when he visited his uncle at the nursing home and what his uncle Ade had told about what would happen if you planted the seeds in dead soil.

Alfie had walked over to the plant. Alfie turned to the club and his hand was gone. Amber started to scream. The rest of the club looked shocked. Then Alfie's hand reappeared. Alfie had hidden his hand up his sleeve and was pulling one of his pranks again.

"Stop with those stupid, stupid jokes", said Amber.

"Stay away from the plant," said Fabian.

Fabian dragged Amber and Alfie away from the plant.

"Sorry my uncle told me, if the seeds are planted in soil then it wants...," said Fabian.

"Then it wants what?" Asked the rest club in unison.

"Living flesh," said Fabian.

Amber started to scream.

"And you're telling us that now!" yelled Amber.

"Amber calm down," said Fabian.

"No, I want to get out of this room like right now. I don't want to be stuck in this room anymore with this flesh eating cactus," said Amber.

"Purple lily," said Alfie.

"Purple lotus," said Fabian.

"Lily or lotus who cares, soon we'll be its breakfast," said Amber.

"It's going to be alright," said Fabian.

"Oh yeah? It has become a thousand times bigger tonight," said Amber.

Fabian went to the window and closed the curtains.

"Fabian what are you doing now?" Asked Amber.

"This way it might grow a little slower," said Fabian

"That's no use, it has grown in the dark last night," said Amber.

"This way it might grow a little less fast," said Fabian.

"I'm leaving this room now. I'm going to have breakfast before we're its breakfast," said Amber.

"Come on Nina," said Fabian.

"Alfie no," said Aaron, as he saw Alfie walking over to the plant.

"But my sandwich," said Alfie.

"Stay away from the plant," said Aaron.

Nina and Amber grabbed their things and left the room with the club. Fabian closed the door. The club could hear the sound of the plant growing again. The club made sure they left quickly.

An hour later and the residents were at school. Mara, Joy and Fiona were standing by their lockers then they were approached by Greg.

"Joy and other ladies," said Greg.

"Oh hi Greg," said Joy

"I've my column for the school newspaper here. Ten Rules to Keep a Guy, by Greg McDreamy, said Greg, as he handed Joy his column.

Greg gave Joy a wink and walked away.

"Greg McDreamy is he serious?" Asked Fiona.

"What's in his column?" Asked Mara.

Mara, Joy and Fiona started reading Greg's column.

"This is ridiculous," said Joy.

"This makes no sense," said Fiona.

"And this we've to post this in the newspaper?" Asked Mara.

"And now I'm sure Greg isn't my secret admirer, my secret admirer's tone of writing is totally different," said Joy.

"But he's number six," said Fiona.

"Yeah, but I'm pretty sure I've been kissed by 11 guys instead of those 10," said Joy.

"That's weird," said Fiona.

"Maybe Otis knows. Maybe on his camera there might be another picture," said Mara.

"I'll ask him later," said Joy.

"What are we going to do with Greg McDreamy?" Asked Fiona.

"More like McDisaster," joked Mara.

Joy and Fiona laughed at Mara's joke.

A few hours later. The Anubis residents had history class.

"Nina, it's nice to have you back," said Mr. Griffin.

"I'm also happy to be back," said Nina.

"How do you feel?" Asked Mr. Griffin.

"Good," said Nina

"Are you looking forward to the classes again?" Asked Mr. Griffin.

"Yeah, but I'm a little behind on everything," said Nina.

"I'll help her," said Fabian.

"Well then you're in good hands," said Mr. Griffin.

Suddenly Nina got flashes about Raven and Victor. Fabian and Mr. Griffin noticed that Nina didn't seem so well.

"Nina," said Fabian

"I don't feel so good," said Nina.

Nina got up and left the classroom.

"Nina," said Fabian.

"Go," said Mr. Griffin.

"Thank you, said Fabian.

Fabian got up and followed Nina. Mr. Griffin got worried that Nina might started to get her memory back from that day.

Nina had gone to the girls' bathroom. Nina splashed some water on her face. Suddenly there was a knock on the toilet door.

"Nina, are you okay?" Asked Fabian.

"I'll be right there in a minute," said Nina

Nina took a paper towel and dried her face. Nina took a deep breath and left the bathroom. Fabian was still waiting for her outside the bathroom.

"Hey are you okay?" Asked Fabian.

"Yeah," said Nina softly.

"What is it?" Asked Fabian.

"I do not know. I got... I don't know," said Nina.

"Did you remember something?" Asked Fabian.

"No, Yes. My heart was pounding," said Nina

"Calm down, it's gonna be okay," said Fabian.

Nina gave Fabian a hug and started to cry. Fabian comforted Nina and tried to calm her down.

"I thought I was going to die," said Nina.

"Hey calm down, you're not going to die. It is over. You're safe," said Fabian.

An hour later and class was over.

"Go ahead, I need to discuss something with Mr. Griffin," said Jerome.

"Okay, I'll see you soon," said Mara.

Mara walked away. Jerome closed the door

"And?" Asked Mr. Griffin.

"I'm working on it," said Jerome.

"You stick to your end of the deal and I'll stick to mine," said Mr. Griffin.

"I'm sticking to our deal too, I'm close," said Jerome.

"Do you actually understand how important that Ankh is?" Asked Mr. Griffin.

"Of course," said Jerome.

"It's very important that we get the Ankh," said Mr. Griffin.

"Yes," said Jerome.

"All right, go ahead. Let me know if you have it," said Mr. Griffin.

"Yes," said Jerome.

Jerome grabbed his bag and left the room. Mr. Griffin picked up his phone made a call.

"We might have a problem with Nina. She acted a little strange in my class, she ran out all out of sudden. Maybe she's remembering something, said Mr. Griffin.

Mr. Griffin hung up the phone.

It was lunch break. Joy was in the drama room with Otis looking at the pictures from the kissing contest.

"And that's number 10," said Otis.

"Oh him too, gross," said Joy. "And that was the last?" She asked

"Yes," said Otis.

"Are you sure?" Asked Joy.

"Yes," said Otis.

"101 precent sure?" Asked Joy.

"Yes," said Otis.

"So I wasn't kissed by 11 guys like I counted," said Joy.

"You may have dreamed that part," said Otis.

Joy thought back to her dream last night the one were she and Otis kissed.

"Yeah, then that must be it," said Joy.

"Sorry, I couldn't be of more help," said Otis.

Greg walked into the drama room and walked over to Joy and Otis.

"Hey Joy," said Greg

"Hey Greg," said Joy.

"What's up Ozzy?" Asked Greg.

"My name is Otis," said Otis.

"At least I got the O part right," said Greg.

"What is it Greg?" Asked Joy.

"Have you read my column yet? Asked Greg.

"Yes and we've yet to discuss where to put it in the school paper," said Joy.

"Oh okay," said Greg.

"Was that all?" Asked Joy.

"I also came here to ask you if you want to go on a date with me this afternoon," said Greg.

"A date with you?" Asked Joy.

"Yes, of course with me, I asked you," said Greg.

"I don't have time this afternoon," said Joy.

"Okay, some other time then," said Greg.

"Yeah maybe," said Joy.

Greg left the drama room. And Joy was actually quite relieved that Greg left.

"I thought you were Gaga for that guy," said Otis.

"I thought so too, but apparently the fireworks are missing with us," said Joy.

"Maybe it's better this way, you deserve better than such a guy than Greg McDunphy," said Otis,

"Thanks Otis you're a sweet guy," said Joy.

A few hours later and school was over. Jerome was the first home and went to Nina and Amber's room. Jerome took his flashlight and searched the room. Suddenly Jerome heard something. Jerome looked down and saw a branch wrapping around his leg. Jerome fell on the ground.

"Help! Yelled Jerome, as he was being dragged towards the plant.

Did the plant eat Jerome? Will someone come and rescue Jerome before he is plant food?
