House of Lions:
Fabian and Nina walked down the hall of the nursing home and were heading towards the exit. Nina was still quite a bit upset about what just happened.
"I don't think your uncle is doing well. There is danger, a man in a mask. I don't get it," said Nina. "And what did he mean with a healing lioness?" She asked.
"The Healing Lioness. Of course Sekhmet, said Fabian.
"What are you talking about?" Asked Nina.
"Sekhmet she is the goddess of war but also of healing. And she had a lioness head, said Fabian.
Nina couldn't hear what Fabian was saying, she got flashes from Raven, Victor and the Ankh and heard Ade's warning playing over and over in her head. Fabian saw that Nina was frozen with fear, he put his hand on her cheek and said her name over and over, trying to snap her out of it.
"Nina, are you okay?" Asked Fabian.
"It's okay, I'm not quite the same yet," said Nina.
"Are you sure you're okay?" Asked Fabian.
"Yes. So we're looking for the Sekhmet?" Asked Nina.
"Yeah and I think I know where to look," said Fabian.
"Where?" Asked Nina.
"The shop," said Fabian.
"The shop?" Asked Nina.
Fabian said nothing and just nodded his head. Fabian took Nina's hand and they left the nursing home together.
In the meantime, Vera had called Mr. Griffin to tell him everything that had happened.
"You were right, Nina and Fabian were here," said Vera.
"And?" Asked Mr. Griffin.
"They showed him pictures, I think they're hieroglyphics," said Vera.
"Did you see what it said?" Asked Mr. Griffin.
"No, I was too far from it, but I did hear what Ade said, he said something about a healing lioness and that she's the key," said Vera.
"The healing lioness, that has to be Sekhmet," said Mr. Griffin.
"Who is that?" Asked Vera.
"She is the goddess of war, but she also the goddess of healing," said Mr. Griffin.
"They just left, but I don't know where to go," said Vera.
"I think I know where they off to," said Mr. Griffin.
"Where?" Asked Vera.
"Ade Rutter's shop," said Mr. Griffin.
In the meantime, Aaron was in the kitchen making a cup of hot chocolate.
"Why is it everywhere I go in this house so cold?" Asked Amber, as she entered the kitchen.
"Heating must be damaged," said Aaron.
"First the electricity and now the heating," said Amber.
"I know, let's just hope it gets fixed," said Aaron.
"What have you got there?" Asked Amber.
"Hot chocolate milk," said Aaron
"Did Vera make that?" Asked Amber.
"No, I did," said Aaron
"Oh then please give me a cup," said Amber.
Aaron made some hot chocolate and gave it to Amber.
"Hey Ambs can I ask you something?" Asked Aaron.
"Sure, what do you want to ask?" Asked Amber.
"What do you have against Vera?" Asked Aaron.
"I just don't trust her," said Amber.
"Why don't you trust her?" Asked Aaron.
"Because she reminds me of those women that try to use to hit on dad," said Amber.
"But those women were always after his money, Victor is not even rich," said Aaron.
"I know that too, but still my feeling tells me that something is up with that woman," said Amber.
"I don't see it, she doesn't remind at all of those women," said Amber.
"Believe me my dear twin brother I'm telling you, Vera cannot be trusted," said Amber.
Patricia and Alfie entered the kitchen and joined Amber and Aaron.
"Have you heard anything from Nina and Fabian?" Asked Patricia.
"Nina texted me they're going to the shop of Fabian's uncle," said Amber.
"Why are they there?" Asked Alfie.
"No idea, she said it was Fabian's idea," said Amber
"If they went to that shop then it must be for a good reason," said Aaron.
"Yes and let's hope they find answers," said Patricia.
A few moments later. Nina and Fabian were in Fabian's uncle's shop.
"What are we doing here?" Asked Nina.
"I think what who can find the answers here," said Fabian.
"Really?" Asked Nina.
"Yeah and I think I know where to look," said Fabian.
Fabian walked through the shop. Nina stayed behind and looked around a bit. Suddenly Nina thought she heard something. Nina started walking and bumped into a mask on the floor. Nina laughed and picked up the box. Nina didn't know Raven was behind her. Nina turned, but Raven was gone. Suddenly Nina got startled when there was a hand on her shoulder.
"Take it easy, it's just me," said Fabian.
"Thank goodness it's you," said Nina.
Nina gave Fabian a hug and held him tight.
"Are you okay?" Asked Fabian.
"It's so scary here all of a sudden," said Nina.
"That's also the reason Alfie likes it here so much. Come let's go find what we're looking for," said Fabian.
Fabian took Nina's hand and they walked through the store together. But the two didn't knew Raven was right behind them.
"Here. If my uncle Ade has anything for us it should be in here, this is the Egyptian collection," said Fabian.
"So maybe we should look at a book with a lion's head or something," suggested Nina.
'Yes, that's a good idea," said Fabian.
Nina and Fabian searched the bookcase.
"Got it," said Fabian, as he grabbed a book out of the bookcase.
"Is that it?" Asked Nina.
"Yes, if I'm right, this book will help us further," said Fabian.
Fabian put the book in his bag and looked one more time in the bookcase and saw a certain book. Fabian picked up the book.
"What's with that book?" Asked Nina.
"This book looks interesting," said Fabian.
"Why?" Asked Nina.
"I don't know why, but I want to read it," said Fabian.
"You really are a bookworm," teased Nina.
"And I'm proud of that," said Fabian.
Fabian put the book in his bag. Suddenly Nina and Fabian heard something.
"I knew it, there is something," said Nina.
"Nina, those are just the mice. We're the one with the key," said Fabian.
"No, this doesn't feel right. I want to get out of here," said Nina.
"Nina wait," said Fabian.
Nina started walking towards the exit and Fabian went after her.
In the meantime. Jerome walked into the living room and saw Mara sitting on the couch.
"Hey, said Jerome, as he sat down next down to Mara.
"Hi," said Mara.
"Is everything alright?" Asked Jerome.
Mara said nothing and just started to cry.
"What is it? What is wrong?" Asked Jerome.
"Nothing," said Mara.
"Then why are you crying?" Asked Jerome.
"I'm just a bit sad," said Mara.
"Whatever I did to make you sad, I'm sorry for it," said Jerome.
"No, it's not. You've done nothing, it's just something I've done," said Mara.
"What have you done?" Asked Jerome.
"I broke up with Mick," said Mara.
"You broke up with Mick? Asked Jerome, as he could believe his ears.
"Yes, I did," said Mara.
"Why did you do that?" Asked Jerome
"I care a lot about Mick, but the long distance relationship is just too hard," said Mara.
"I thought long distance wasn't a problem for you," said Jerome.
"That's what I thought too, but I just notice that it is," said Mara.
"Is the distance the only reason?" Asked Jerome.
"No, I've also noticed that I'm just not in love with Mick anymore and I haven't been in a long time," said Mara.
"But why did you break up with him now, if you already knew you weren't in love with him anymore?" Asked Jerome.
"Fear I guess. But it had to happen someday and now it was time," said Mara.
"If you want to talk about it, I'm right here," said Jerome.
"I'd rather not talk about it right now," said Mara.
"Okay, but if you need me I'll be in my room," said Jerome.
"Okay, thank you Jerome," said Mara.
Jerome got up and walked to his room, Mara watched as Jerome walked away. Mara then looked at her necklace that Jerome gave her and got a smile on her face.
Nina and Fabian were walking through the stop, when the two of them heard something again.
"Okay that's definitely not a mouse," said Nina.
"You were right, there's someone else here," said Fabian.
"What are we gonna do now?" Asked Nina.
"We need to hide and fast," said Fabian
Nina and Fabian hid behind an old closet. Then Nina and Fabian saw Raven walking, Nina got scared as soon as she saw Raven. Raven left the shop. Nina and Fabian came out from behind their hiding place and headed for the door.
"That man I've...," said Nina, but couldn't finish her sentence.
"The man in the mask, he took the ebony box from us. And Amber also saw him with Victor," said Fabian
"His face, he had no...," said Nina.
Then Nina had flashes of her kidnapping again and Raven saw clearly. Nina started to hyperventilate. Fabian turned to Nina and saw that she was not well.
"Nina, calm down, I here with you," said Fabian.
"Fabian...," said Nina, softly.
"Yes, I'm here, I'll stay with you," said Fabian. "Are you okay?" He asked.
"I'm a little dizzy," said Nina..
"Come on, we've to get out of here," said Fabian.
Nina and Fabian left the store and went back to the house.
At that same time. Victor was in the school with Mr. Sweet in Mr. Sweet's office.
"Victor why did you want to speak to me?" Asked Mr. Sweet.
"About this," said Victor.
Victor gave Mr. Sweet the bill for the repair costs. Mr. Sweet put on his glasses and looked at the bill.
"Wow that's a lot of zero's," said Mr. Sweet.
"And I don't have that kind of money," said Victor.
"Why are you coming here with this, Victor?" Asked Mr. Sweet.
"Anubis house is part of the school, so the school will have to pay for the bill," said Victor.
"Um that's not how it technically works," said Mr. Sweet.
"What do you mean Eric?" Asked Victor.
"It is true that Anubis house is part of the school, but most of the house is in your name," said Mr. Sweet.
"So you're not going to pay the bill?" Asked Victor.
"The school can pay small part of it," said Mr. Sweet.
"Just a small part? After everything I've done for you. After everything we went through together and then you tell me this," said a frustrated Victor.
"Victor it's not that I don't want to help you, I do want to help," said Mr. Sweet.
"Then why aren't you helping Eric, I thought you were my friend," said Victor.
"I'm your friend, Victor and that's why I'm trying to come up with a solution," said Mr. Sweet.
"So what I'm supposed to do now?" Asked Victor.
"I'm sorry to have to say this Victor, you will really have to pay the rest of this bill yourself," said Mr. Sweet.
"I don't have enough money for to pay this bill," said Victor.
"Maybe you can ask for a loan from the bank," suggested Mr. Sweet.
"If that's really the only solution," said Victor.
"It's all I can give you," said Mr. Sweet.
"Is that really the best you can give me Eric?" Asked Victor.
"If I can think of something better then I will let you know," said Mr. Sweet
"Bye Eric," said Victor.
"I'm sorry about this Victor," said Mr. Sweet.
Victor took the bill and put it in his pocket. Victor left Mr. Sweet's office and went back to the house.
A few moments later. Nina and Fabian arrived back at the house.
"Are you feeling better?" Asked Fabian.
"Yes, I think I'm," said Nina.
"Okay I'm going to my room and use the book to help me with the riddle," said Fabian.
"Should we tell the others about seeing the man in the mask in the shop?" Asked Nina.
"Let's wait with that, I think it's better to focus on the riddle right now," said Fabian.
"If you think it's best," said Nina.
"I'll let you know once I've solved the riddle, said Fabian.
"Okay, good luck," said Nina.
Nina and Fabian kissed each other. Fabian went to his room and Nina walked upstairs. Nina walked into the bathroom. Nina looked in the mirror and started to have more and more flashes of her kidnapping and what had happened. Nina felt lightheaded and passed out. Now Nina was lying unconscious on the bathroom floor. What will happen to Nina now? Will she remember everything what happened the day of her kidnapping? Or does this have a bad effect on her?
