House of Debts:
Victor was still waiting for Vera. One of the concert hall employees approached Victor.
"Sir you've to enter the theater in a minute, they're going to start soon," said the man.
"I'm still waiting for someone, I will go in soon," said Victor.
The man walked away. Victor kept waiting for Vera. The opera started, Victor could hear the music. After an hour of waiting it was enough for Victor, Victor ran behind the bunch of flowers and left the concert hall and went home heartbroken.
The next morning. Victor down the hall, then saw a e-mail at the door with his name on it. Victor finished the letter and recognized Vera's handwriting. Victor began to read the letter.
Dear Victor,
I'm sorry I couldn't be at the concert, but an emergency forced me to go abroad for good. I hope someday you can forgive me?
Your Vera.
Victor had tears in his eyes and quickly wiped them away. Victor walked into the living room and saw the Anubis residents.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Asked Victor.
"Where is Vera?" Asked Mara.
"Vera is gone," said Victor.
"Where did she go?" Asked Fiona.
"No idea," said Victor.
"And what about breakfast?" Asked Otis.
"You are old enough to take care of your own breakfast," said Victor.
Victor left the living room and went to his office. The Anubis residents got up and walked to the kitchen to pack breakfast items. Suddenly the front door opened and a familiar person walked in.
"Yoo-hoo I'm back," said Trudy.
"Trudy," said Amber.
The Anubis residents walked over to Trudy and all gave her a hug.
"You're back," said Fiona.
"Yes I'm back, I missed my sweeties too much," said Trudy.
"You look good and well rested," said Fabian.
"I feel good," said Trudy.
"That's good to hear," said Fabian.
"And how are you my sweeties?" Asked Trudy
"We're doing well. We were just going to make breakfast for ourselves," said Aaron.
"You guys haven't got breakfast yet?" Asked Trudy.
"No, Vera just left out of nowhere," said Eddie.
"Don't worry my darlings I'll make you something, said Trudy.
"But Trudy you just got back, you don't have to that for us," said Fiona.
"But I want to for my sweeties," said Trudy.
Trudy went to the kitchen and made a delicious breakfast for the Anubis residents.
In the meantime in the castle. Mr. Griffin and Vera were having breakfast together.
"Did you do what I asked of you?" Asked Mr. Griffin.
"Yes, I delivered the letter to the house," said Vera.
"Good," said Mr. Griffin.
"And now what? What are we going to do?" Asked Vera.
"Now let's focus on the treasure," said Mr. Griffin.
"But how are we going to do that? Asked Vera.
"That's what Jerome is for, he sent me pictures recently and I'm studying them," said Mr. Griffin.
"And what about Nina?"' Asked Vera.
"We keep an eye on them but we do from the shadows," said Mr. Griffin.
"Maybe it's better this way. That girl Amber did everything she could to keep away from Nina. No matter how nice I was too her, she never was going to like or trust me, said Vera.
"I must say I underestimated that blond doll, she is much more than just her good looks, said Mr. Griffin.
"Do you think? I find her an especially annoying pest," said Vera.
"Compared to you everything is else ugly," said Mr. Griffin.
Mr. Griffin and Vera kissed each other and looked at each other with a wicked smile on their.
'Just ask Victor," said Mr. Griffin.
"Victor?" Asked Vera.
"Yes, he himself is not the prettiest, but one thing I must give him after he has good taste," said Mr. Griffin.
"Victor good taste?" Asked Vera confused.
"He fell for you," said Mr. Griffin.
"He didn't fell that hard," said Vera.
"Well if the guy bought you two tickets to your favorite opera with his last bit of money, then he must of fallen hard," said Mr. Griffin.
"At first I couldn't stand him, but when you know him better," said Vera.
"What do you mean by if you know him better?" Asked Mr. Griffin.
"Are you jealous?" Asked Vera, in a teasing way.
"Me jealous? Never," said Mr. Griffin.
"There's nothing to be jealous of and certainly not Victor," said Vera.
Mr. Griffin smiled viciously and he kissed Vera again.
A few moments later, the club was in Nina and Amber's room.
"Don't you think it's strange that Vera just suddenly disappeared?" Asked Nina.
"No, let's be glad that woman is gone," said Amber.
"Amber you don't say such a thing," said Nina.
"I never trusted that woman, I'm glad Trudy is back," said Amber.
"Guys let's not focus on that, we've to get a move on with the task," said Fabian.
"We need to get that table out of the cellar, without anyone noticing," said Alfie
"But first we've to get him out of the secret room, without anyone noticing," said Aaron.
"And where are we going to do it?" Asked Patricia.
"The garden," suggested Aaron.
"Then we'll be disturbed," said Nina.
"No, because the school paper goes to the amusement park and then we won't be bothered by at least five people," said Fabian.
"But then Patricia can't help us with the task," said Amber.
"I'll help, this is much more important than a trip to some amusement park," said Patricia.
"Patricia you can go if you want, you can have fun too," said Nina.
"I'm not much for amusement parks, I'll say I don't feel so well," said Patricia.
"And what are we going to about Victor?" Asked Alfie.
"I don't think he will bother us, he's locked himself in his office since breakfast and hasn't come out once," said Nina.
"Yeah, he's pretty upset about Vera leaving," said Aaron.
"Of course, he was in love with her," said Patricia.
"Gross," said Amber.
In the meantime Victor sat in his office listing to sad music.
"She's gone Corbierre. I will never see my Vera again," said Victor.
Suddenly the phone rang and Victor answered.
"Victor Rodenmaar," said Victor.
"Hello Victor I call inconvenient Victor, you sound a little down," said Raven.
"Glad you're so concerned about me," said Victor, sarcastically.
"And?" Asked Raven.
"And what?" Asked Victor.
"Do you've the Ankh?" Asked Raven.
"No, the Ankh was not where you said it was," said Victor.
"What! Don't play games with me Victor," said Raven.
"I think you're the one who is playing games with me," said Victor.
"So you messed up as usual," said Raven.
"No, but..., said Victor," but Raven cut him off.
"Now you'll really see what happens to people who disappoint me one to many time," said Raven.
Raven hung up the phone. Victor didn't know what awaited him, he just knew it wouldn't be good.
In the meantime. Jerome sat in the living room and Mara sat down with him.
"How are you?" Asked Mara.
"I'm a bit nervous," said Jerome.
"I can understand that and it's perfectly normal," said Mara.
"What if they decide they won't release my father," said Jerome.
"Don't think like that, stay positive Jerome," said Mara.
"I'll try to do that," said Jerome.
"You know what I'll tell Otis I'm not going, I'm going with you," said Mara.
"No, you don't have to that," said Jerome.
"I want be there for you and support you," said Mara.
"But you're doing that already, I don't want you to cancel a nice day for me," said Jerome.
"Are you sure?" Asked Mara.
"Yeah, I mean if I didn't have to, I'll also choose to go to the amusement park and stay there all night," said Jerome.
"It's a unique opportunity yes," said Mara.
"Exactly and I don't want you to give that up," said Jerome.
"Okay, but if you need me you call and I'll come to you," said Mara.
"Thank you Mara," said Jerome.
"No problem," said Mara.
"Can I ask you one thing," said Jerome.
"What is it?" Asked Mara.
"Would you bring back a souvenir for me?" Asked Jerome.
Mara looked at Jerome and both burst out in to laughter.
"I know you're kidding, but I'm gonna bring you back a souvenir", said Mara.
"That's sweet of you Mara, but you're also just very sweet," said Jerome.
Jerome looked at Mara with a loving look. Suddenly, Jerome's phone rang. Jerome looked at his phone screen and saw that Mr. Griffin was the one calling him. Jerome walked out of the living room and picked up his phone.
"Yes," said Jerome.
"Jerome you've to do something for me," said Mr. Griffin.
"What is it?" Asked Jerome.
"Come to the castle," said Mr. Griffin.
'Castle? What castle are you talking?" Asked Jerome.
"The castle where you were during the school trip," said Mr. Griffin.
"Why there?" Asked Jerome.
"That's not important now, just come over here," said Mr. Griffin.
"But why?" Asked Jerome.
"Come over here and I'll explain everything to you," said Mr. Griffin.
"But…," said Jerome.
"And bring the Ankh with you this time," said Mr. Griffin.
Mr. Griffin hung up the phone. Jerome put his phone in his pocket. Jerome walk to this room and grabbed the Ankh from it' hiding place and put it in a bag. Jerome. took his jacket and without telling anyone, Jerome left the house and was on his way to the castle.
An hour later. Trudy was in the kitchen and had found Victor's bills. Victor walked into the kitchen and Trudy gave him a big hug.
"Oh Victor! I'm so glad to see you again," said Trudy.
"Yes, that's enough of that," said Victor.
"I missed you so much my big grumpy bear," said Trudy.
"Yes, I'm really glad you're back, now get back to work," said Victor
"And what about Vera?" Asked Trudy.
"Vera doesn't matter anymore," said Victor.
Trudy walked to the counter and picked up the bills.
"And what about this Victor?" Asked Trudy.
"All of those paid! And stop meddling in my business and go do something," said Victor.
Victor walked out of the kitchen angrily. Trudy didn't think too much about it and got a smile on her face.
"I'm home again," said Trudy.
Two hours later. Mara, Otis and Fiona were in the hall waiting for Patricia, Joy and Eddie.
"Where are they? The taxi can be here any moment," said Otis.
"They'll be coming soon," said Mara.
At the same time Joy came running downstairs.
"I'm here," said Joy.
"Where is Patricia?" Asked Fiona.
"She said she wasn't feeling well and she said she couldn't come with us," said Joy.
"Poor Patricia, that she has to get sick now," said Fiona
At the same time Eddie came running up and he looked a little pale.
"Eddie are you okay? You don't look so good," said Fiona.
"I don't feel so well," said Eddie.
"How sad first Patricia and now you," said Mara.
"And what now?" Asked Otis.
"Maybe I'll lie down for a while and maybe I'll feel a little better later," said Eddie.
"Here's your ticket, when you feel better just come to the amusement park," said Otis, as he gave a ticket to Eddie.
"Thank you," said Eddie.
"Then I'll give Patricia her ticket, if she feels better you can go there together," said Joy.
"Sounds like a good plan," said Mara.
Eddie went back to his room. Otis gave a ticket to Joy and she walked quickly upstairs. A few seconds later, Joy was back. And then there was the sound of a car honking.
"The cab is here," said Mara.
"Come on let's go," said Fiona.
"We're on our way to Southport Pleasureland," said Otis.
"This is gonna be a great day," said Joy.
Mara, Joy, Otis and Fiona left the house and got into the taxi and were on their way to Southport Pleasureland.
A few hours later. Victor was in his office when he heard the bell ring. Victor opened the door and a man in a suit with a big mustache stepped into the house.
"Who are you?" Asked Victor.
"I'm Carl Nelson," said Mr. Nelson.
"And what are you doing here in my house?" Asked Victor.
"You haven't paid your bills, we're coming to confiscate all your belongings," said Mr. Nelson.
Victor didn't know what he heard. Was this Raven's work? Will Victor lose everything now? What will happen to the house and what will happen to the residents?
