Peeta Mellark is the Winner of the 74th Hunger Games after Katniss Everdeen sacrifices herself to save his life. He soon finds himself in the middle of the rebellion as their beacon of hope, their Mockingjay. But as Peeta will soon discover, not all fallen tributes stay dead.

Many years after the Mockingjay Rebellion, Panem Museum's director Mercedes Vonheli receives a collection of "Master tapes" of the Hunger Games, and decided to write a history book about each Games as well as the culture and society of Panem.
