Hey all, I know it's been a bit since I updated this story, but now I'm back with a new chapter. Now that Clyde knows the amulet works, it's time to try it out on his main target. Will all go good? let's find out.
A dream come true
Saturday had arrived and that meant it was time for Clyde to enact his plan. After reading the only info he could find on his new amulet, the boy figured there was no limit to what he could ask or who he could ask it from.
And that meant that Lori could finally be his, maybe in secret until he was older, for legal reasons. But outside of that, his dream would finally come true, he'd be able to date the girl of his dreams. The boy was already fantasizing at the future moments they may share, days at the beach, romantic nights under the stars...or even more romantic moments in private.
Clyde blushed at the thought of that, but he wouldn't ask for that so soon. First came getting her to like him, then just enjoying one another's company for the time being. And today was the perfect day to do so. Some of the Loud family would be hanging out at the nearby mall for half the day and it was there that Clyde would make his first move.
His dads had already gave him permission to hang out there with Lincoln, little did they know that Lincoln wasn't the Loud child Clyde intended to spend his time with. They offered to drive him there and pick him up later, and about an hour before noon, the three left the house for the mall.
"We'll be back here in three hours to pick you up okay? Have fun and watch out for strangers! Keep us posted so we know nothing happened to you okay?" Harold said as Clyde stepped out of the car. "Sure thing dad! I'll text you guys every half hour or so, no worries. I'll be fine". Clyde responded. "We know, we just worry, always will. Go have fun". Howard told him before driving off.
"Alright, time to find Lori". Clyde thought to himself. The boy headed inside the mall and started searching around for any of the Loud family, hoping they could point him in the direction of the eldest Loud girl if he didn't find her first.
Immediately starting by searching around the clothing stores, Clyde wasn't having any luck in the beginning. But in the third store he checked, Clyde was fortunate enough to run into Leni as she was looking around the dresses, hoping to get inspired for one of her own creations.
Putting on his best smile, Clyde walked over to the fashionista and said hello. "Hey Leni! How you doing?" The boy asked her. "Hm? Oh hi Clyde! I'm great, thanks for asking. You looking for Lincoln? He didn't come with us today". Leni told him, her tone as cheery as ever. "That's alright...I was actually looking for Lori. Is she around?" Clyde asked.
Leni frowned a bit at the mention of Lori's name. "Clyde, I thought you got over your thing for her? And besides, you know Lori asked you to respect her boundaries last time you talked to her. Like, I get it, she's pretty but you gotta let it go". Leni told him. "I have, it's not about that. Well, it kinda is, but not really. I just want to talk to her is all, please help me out?" Clyde asked again.
"Hmmm, okay, but you didn't hear it from me. Lori's in that store across the way there, she was looking for some new clothes for when she went off to college next year". Leni informed him. "Awesome! Thank you Leni, and I promise, nothing weird. See you". Clyde said as he briskly walked over to the store as Leni watched him leave, wondering what he saw in Lori and not any of the other Loud girls such as herself.
Making his way into the store, Clyde started looking around for Lori, hoping the girl hadn't already moved on to another store. Slowly walking around the establishment, Clyde found his target as she was looking at some new cargo shorts, with other clothes already in hand.
Taking a deep breath, Clyde walked over to Lori and got her attention, clearing his throat. "H-Hello?" Clyde said as Lori turned to face him. "Oh...hey Clyde. What are you doing here? Looking for Linc?" She asked him, trying to hide the annoyed feeling she felt as soon as she laid eyes on him.
It was an instinctual reaction that happened whenever she saw him, something that was a result of his constant trying to get into her pants. For half of the time since he'd been her brother's best friend, Lori wondered if Clyde wasn't just using Lincoln to try and get with her, no matter how nonexistent that chance may have been. He'd seemed to have calmed down with his affections the last couple months, but something still seemed off, and Lori couldn't help the feelings that popped up whenever Clyde came around.
But despite those feelings, she remained friendly with the boy. "Um, actually I was here to see you. I was...well I was hoping we could sit down and talk for a bit. Since you're going off to college next year, I feel like I won't get many chances later on". Clyde told her. "Oh...uh, y-yea. Sure I guess we could talk". Lori said. "Cool, thank you. Um, after you get done here I guess? I could get us some lunch and we could talk". Clyde responded.
"Yeah that sounds good. I'll just be another few minutes, meet me out front of the store in a bit?" Lori asked after a moment of hesitation. "Okay, yea, just let me know when you're done". Clyde replied as he left the store and found a nearby bench.
Pulling out the amulet from his pocket, Clyde stared at it in his hands, wondering if he should really go through with this. "I mean...it's not like I'll keep it up forever. Just till she goes off to college". Clyde thought to himself. "Just a few months left together where we have the fun I dreamed of and that's it. Then she can go about her life like normal...at least until I'm old enough". He grinned.
Shoving the amulet back in his pocket, Clyde patiently waited for Lori to make her way out of the store.
The Loud girl exited the store a few minutes later and met Clyde by the bench he was sitting at. "Ready?" Clyde asked her. "Yeah, just don't be weird about it okay?" She responded. "No problem". Clyde said back with a smile as the two walked over to the food court.
"You have enough money for the both of us?" Lori asked, as if she already expected him not to. "Yeah, just get whatever you want and I'll take care of it". Clyde told her as the girl just shrugged in response. After grabbing their food, the pair found an empty table and sat down, Lori placing her bags of clothes on the seat next to her.
"So what's up Clyde? What'd you wanna talk about?" Lori asked before digging into her food. "Well...I-It was more of me wanting to apologize". Clyde started as Lori looked back at him. "I wanted to apologize about the way I've acted with you over the years. I let my feelings get the better of me and it made me come off as creepy. And for that I'm sorry". He told her.
"I knew you got uncomfortable with it all, especially when I still had those...nosebleeds". Clyde said as Lori cringed inwardly. "...But as you may know I've kinda backed off the past few months. Mainly because of the work I've done with Dr. Lopez. And well, I just wanted to say I'm sorry before you headed off to college". Clyde told her. "I didn't want you to start the next chapter of your life and still think of me as some creep or anything". Clyde added.
"Oh...C-Clyde I never thought of you as a creep okay? A little annoying with all the affections and...gawking at me. But never a creep". Lori told him. "Thank you though, for the apology, it does mean a lot". Lori said. "On that note, do you still...have those feelings? And just know how to manage em now?" Lori asked him.
Hesitating to answer her right away, Clyde sighed before nodding his head. "Y-Yea. They're still there. But as you said I'm managing them, trying to focus on other things". Clyde told her. "But in addition to apologizing I just was hoping that we could both move on from it? Be friends you know?" Clyde asked.
"Y-Yeah, I guess I have no problem with that. You've been...alright outside of all that other stuff". Lori answered before shoving a few fries in her mouth. She was honest with that response too, she felt like Clyde was an alright guy whenever he wasn't trying to get with her. She probably wouldn't spend too much time with the boy now, on account of her trying to focus on other things before heading off to college.
Fidgeting with the amulet in his pocket, Clyde felt like now was as good a time as any to try it. "Hey Lori…" Clyde started as he slowly pulled the trinket from his pocket. "...I had something I wanted to show you, something I think you may like". Clyde told her as he held it out.
"Hm, looks nice...bit creepy though too". Lori said as she looked down at it. "Well it does something really cool, wanna see?" the boy asked her. Lori nodded lazily in response as she kept eating her lunch. "Okay, just look here. Whenever I snap my fingers you'll...Want to be in a secret relationship with me. You'll be my girlfriend and do whatever I ask". Clyde said before quickly snapping his fingers.
It took a few seconds, almost as if the girl was resistant to it somehow, but her eyes soon flitted like the others, and Clyde assumed it worked. "S-So Lori...h-how do you feel about me?" Clyde asked her. "I like...literally think I love you Clyde". Lori said with a small grin. "Holy shit it worked! I can't believe it, she said she loves me". Clyde thought to himself as he smiled like a fool. Looking around, Clyde noticed that there were hardly any people around, let alone anyone looking at them.
"Time to really test it". Clyde thought as he turned back to Lori, leaning forward over the middle of the table. "Can you give me a kiss?" He asked her. Giving the boy a smirk, Lori leaned forward and gently placed her lips to his, holding them there for a moment before backing away. "How was that?" Lori asked him.
Feeling like he was in a daze, Clyde just stared at her, his eyes half-lidded and grinning like a dork. "T-That was perfect". He told her. "Oh? Then I guess I'll have to do better next time. Try to top perfect". Lori sultrily said.
"I-I'm sure you won't have any...problems with that. Beautiful". Clyde said as he smiled at her. Smirking back at him, Lori giggled. "Well maybe we could go somewhere a bit more...private. I'm sure I could do better then". Lori told him. Blushing like mad, Clyde shrunk back a bit, not sure if he was really ready for what she was suggesting. "U-Um… as much as I'd love to. I...I think we should wait a little bit for uh, that". Clyde replied.
"Sure thing honey, whatever you say. And whenever you're ready". Lori said. "So..as much as I'd like us to hang out more today…it may be suspicious to everyone else. I mean, why would you wanna hang with me right?" Clyde said as he shrugged, looking off to the side. "Oh but I do want to hang out with you babe, spend lots of time together". Lori told him before gently placing her fingers underneath his chin and pulling him towards her. She grabbed the back of his head as she pulled him in for a deep kiss.
"Just to tide you over till next time then". Lori said as she sat back in her seat and looked at the boy. Regaining his senses, Clyde looked around and noticed that Leni and a couple of the other Loud sisters were walking nearby. They didn't seem to notice the kiss so Clyde counted himself lucky and figured he best break the hypnosis.
"Okay, and now when I clap you'll go back to normal and forget all this until I snap my fingers again". Clyde said before clapping his hands together. Lori's eyes flitted again and she shook her head as her mind went right again. "T-Thanks for having lunch with me Lori, I'm glad we could...reconcile like this before you left for college. I'll...I'll see you around". Clyde told her as he got up and waved goodbye.
"Y-Yea...me too. See you Clyde". Lori said as she grabbed her bags and left the table, seeing her sisters nearby.
"Hey Lori. Like, was that Clyde?" Leni asked, playing the fool in case the girl would be mad at her for sending the boy her way. "Yeah, he wanted to um, apologize for the way he acted before. It was nice". Lori told her.
"Oh cool, totes glad it went good. You all done shopping?" Leni asked her. "Yup, got literally everything I was looking for. Let's head home". Lori said as she led the rest of the group to the van. As they walked through the mall, the teen couldn't help but notice a strange feeling in the back of her mind, as if something was off.
And so it begins. Now that the girl is under Clyde's spell, how will things progress? How far will the young man go? only time will tell as the story moves forward. Next time, I'll try to have a longer chapter for you guys and gals. Until then, stay safe everyone and I'll see y'all later.
