Mara Jade arrives back at the Skywalker residence looking for Master Anakin Skywalker

"Master Skywalker?" She calls out, "Master Skywalker?"

"Jade!" Anakin said softly.

"Master Skywalker… Anakin." Mara Jade said, "I told Master Yoda about a dream, he said I should talk to you.

"What was the dream about Jade."

"Tell me about Mara Jade Skywalker."

"Master Skywalker!" Mara Jade's strangled voice pleaded asking, "Please I'm having dreams and visions that make no sense."

Setting in a chair her quiet, soft voice said, "Lightsaber battles I've never had, a Man dressed in black, with a breathing apparatus.

Anakin's back stiffened at the second part of the comment.

In the kitchen Padmé Amidala Skywalker was prepping the mid-day meal when she noticed her husband's body language and said, "Anakin, I know it's a tender subject, but she needs to hear it."

"20 years ago, there was a disturbance in the force and a Corellian YT-1300f light freighter called The Millennium Falcon crash landed." Anakin explained, "On board The Millennium Falcon were 2 highly skilled Jedi."

The look on Mara Jade's face said, "That doesn't explain the secrecy"

Letting out a breath Anakin said, "What I'm about to tell you is known only by a select handful of members of the high council."

"Remember that disturbance in the force, I told you about!"

Mara Jade nodded thinking, what is he trying to tell me…

"The Millennium Falcon did not travel through space, it traveled through time, and space."

Reaching into her pouch Mara pouch she pulled out a handwritten note and a Jedi holocron.

"When I was called to Master Yoda's office I man from The Bank of Coruscant gave me a security box and these were inside.

I am sure your confused, and have plenty of questions Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Grandmaster Yoda can answer most of them and can teach you how to open the Holocron

Mara Don't watch it alone, make sure Obi-Wan Kenobi is with you.

Looking at the Holocron in her hands Anakin said, "I think your answers ore on that Holocron, and she was right about something else too, don't use it alone."

Mara nodded and said, "Master Yoda told me it was locked to my force signature!"

As Mara held the Holocron she wondered

Suddenly a hologram of the elder Mara Jade Skywalker came up.

Mara by the time you get this I will be long dead, where to start.

As you progress in your training you will find you have an affinity for both the light and the dark, I have givin Master Yoda the galactic coordinates Tython and that should help.

"Who were you?" Mara said looking at the hologram.

In my time I was taken by a Sith lord and raised to be his servant and assassin, later with the help of Jedi Master Luke Skywalker I became a Jedi myself.

Mara, seek out Master Anakin Skywalker, if anyone understands he will.

Anakin notices the look the hologram gives him before fading out, a look that said "You may not be Darth Vader, but you remember the feeling of otherness that comes with brushing that part of yourself.

Lyra Rendix walks in saying, "I had a feeling I would be needed here; I may be an ambassador however I am also a Je'daii Master in my own right."

Mara Jades face went blank

"Don't disturb her Master Skywalker, she is in the midst of a Force Echo"

A Middle-aged Mara Jade Skywalker Leapt over the sofa and into the fry of the battle as her blue lightsaber swept sideways the smell of burnt copper/metallic scent filled the air as a bisected body hit the floor

The Holocron fell to the floor as Mara Jade made a dash for the fresher with Anakin not far behind.

Urk… urk… Urk… Urk… was all he heard through the door.

5 Minutes later Mara Jade emerged from the fresher, smelling of mouthwash.

"Mid-day meal did not taste better the second time around."

Moments later back in the sitting area Lyra Rendix asks, "What did you see?"

"From the look, I think, it was 500 Republica" Mara Jade said "Some bounty hunters attacked, I jumped over the sofa and swung a blue lightsaber left to right and all I could smell was copper then I noticed the bisected body"

Mara Jade's throat started to twitch on reflex as the memory of the vision came to the forefront.

Taking a breath Anakin knew exactly what she was saying.

"I understand." Anakin told her, "It's not a smell you easily forget."

"Firsthand it's worse, I threw up for 30 minutes."

"It's called Force Echo, it's a way of seeing what will happen, or what did happen." Master Lyra Rendix said joining the conversation, "It's also one of the rarer abilities."

"Do any of your family have the ability"

"Jedi Temples used to have anonymous revolving baby boxes for people who can't bear the sigma of a force sensitive child." Anakin explained, "Mara Jade was the last child we accepted that way."

"Mara" Anakin asked, eying the girl, "Why did you ask the temple armorer for Vibronives."

"That data pad that had (The Shadows) schematics had other files with useful advice, like have a backup Vibronife"

Both Masters raised their Brow at her comment.

As if sensing the lack of ability to explain the Holocron self-activated and the hologram Mara Jade Skywalker appears.

It's a good idea to have a hideaway Vibroknifes because at some point during a fight one of two things will happen, they will penetrate your defenses and get too close for a lightsaber to be effective, or you will lose your lightsaber.

Interesting… Master Lyra Rendix thought, telling Mara Jade, "That Holocron seems to be a hybrid of both…"

Stopping mid-sentence Master Rendix realized the Holocron was neither Sith nor Jedi technology.

"Master Skywalker… am I correct in thinking she provided Tython's location." Master Rendix asked.

"That's a Je'daii Holocron and they can only be found in one place!"

In a quiet voice Mara Jade said, "In the vision she was so…."

Anakin stated, "She was raised to be an assassin Jade… and trust me with a lightsaber she was quite efficient and ruthless."

Pausing Anakin recalled the memory, "When I was a newly made Jedi Cade Bane was considered undefeatable with a Saber… Mara Jade Skywalker defeated him like it was child's play."

"If you wanted details you would need to Obi Wan, he was there."

Feeling a slight phantom itch where the seam between his artificial hand met his wrist Anakin stammered, "Yes… good advice."
