Rusty was waiting in the bushes with Smoke while the gathering was going on.
"Do you think I went a bit too far with my speech?" Rusty asked looking towards Smoke.
"Possibly but I think you got your point across. You may have scarred a few of the younger cats though." Smoke said.
"Well A lot can happen when your yound Im only 15 moons old I am very young and have seen a lot." Rusty said.
"Yes its unfortunate but we are trained to be both strong and kind. We help when we can help. You of all cats know that most of our best fighters are barely over 10 moons." Smoke said.
"Yes I know. I think the gatherings over I hear cats coming this way." Rusty said perking his ears up.
"Bluestar I'm not sure if I trust these cats you brought." Rusty heard a voice say.
"I know Crookedstar but they didn't seem like they were lying when they first told me of what was going on in the twolegplace."Rusty heard Bluestar say.
"I would like to speak to them more and learn more about who they are and what they do. Their leader is also interesting he speaks like he is old but he looks very yound for a leader of any sort of clan rogue or not." Another voice said.
"Well they are right over there. why dont we stay behind have our deputies return to camp so we can speak to these rogues more." Bluestar offered.
"I guess that works." He heard that cat Bluestar called Crokedstar say.
"Fine I got nothing better to do." One of the other voices said.
"Alright then I guess I might as well accept as well." Rusty recognized that voice as the tom who spoke out against Rusty and Smoke being there.
after a few more moments Rusty saw all the leaders step out.
"Greetings I believe introductions are in order." Rusty said.
"Yes I am Crookedstar." A cat with a strange jaw said.
"I am Tallstar." A cat that Rusty felt like he recognized from somewherw said.
"I am Brokenstar."A cat with a janky looking tail said. He was obviously glaring at Rusty and Smoke.
"I would prefer you not try and intimidate me because that will not work." Rusty said staring into Brokenstar's eyes.
This obviously shocked the cat who now stopped.
"Now then ask any questions you would like." Rusty said.
"Who leads Bloodclan?" Crookedstar asked.
"That would be Scourge a cat that I hate to say is related to me. We hsve the same father but different mothers. My father created Peaceclsn after realizing how dangerous Bloodclan was." Rusty replied.
"How long have you been Peaceclan's leader?" Bluestar asked.
"5 moons, almost six." Rusty said.
"How common is it for cats to survive an encounter with Bloodclan?" Tallstar asked.
"If you survive you have luck on your side." Rusty said sounding very ominous.
"Rusty I forgot to tell you earlier but Badger told me that he heard one of the Bloodclan cats that attacked him and Wolf say something about attacking a clan her or attacking a patrol." Smoke said.
"Ok. With you guy's permission I woild like to send one or two of my cats to your clans as reinforcements incase they attack your clan as they will have more experience with Bloodclan. You may not trust us but qe all took an oath to protect cats in need." Rusty said.
"I believe we will all discuss this with our senior warriors as we want their input." Bluestar said.
"I will not have rogues in my camp." Brokenstar said glaring.
"If that is your choice so be it. I hope to hear back from you tomorrow as me and Smoke need to check on Wolf and Badger. If they are not fit to travel we will come back for them tomorrow." Rusty said signaling for Smoke to follow him after Bluestar got up.
"I hope to hear your answers by tomorrow please have some cats stationed at a spot on your border so we can talk." Rusty said before turning away.
Then they returned to Thunderclan's camp and everyone was nervous as Bluestar jumped onto the highrock.
"Cats of Thunderclan as you have noticed we have had some strange cats here in Thunderclan. they have informed me of a potential threat to our way of life. A clan by the name of Bloodclan. According to these cats they have been at war with Bloodcaln since their clans existance began." Bluestar said signaling for Rusty to step forward as well as Smoke.
"Greeting I am Rusty the leader of Peaceclan."
"And I am Smoke. One of Rusty's elite warriors. I am in hi elite because I am the best in the clan at sneaking and I gather intel on locations of cats."
"I have seen a lot in my short life I have seen lots of cats die. I have seen my Father be killed during a rescue mission. I have seen my brother be killed seconds before a rescue part arrived. I have seen cats be tortured but they have never broke I have offered all the clans 1-2 of my warriors until Bloodclan is no longer a threat. Does anyone have any questions."
"Yes, why would you want to help us we would be able to take on Bloodclan on our own we don't even need your help."
"You are a fool to think that Bloodclan has cats to spare they do not care how many of them die they don't accept failure." A voice said. Rusty instantly knew it was Wolf who was standing there obviously favoring a leg.
"Nice to see your alright Wolf I trust t
you don't plan on pushing yourself while your healing." Rusty said looking at him.
"I am not pushing myself and Spottedleaf recommends that I stay here for the night. Same for Badger."
"Ok Me and Smoke will be back tomorrow." After Rusty finished bracken could be heard rustling as a cat came into view obviously in pain as blood came out of a wound.
"Windclan is under attack by rogues. We need help." The cat said nearly collapsing.
"Smoke let's go." Rusty said as he got up.
"Rusty we don't know the way there." Smoke said.
"Well someone lead us there."Rusty said frustrated.
"Thunderclan is coming to help." Bluestar said as she quickly named several cats. After naming off the cats they took off towards what Rusty assumed was Windclan's camp.
After a lot of running they arrived and it was chaos.
"Alright Smoke, ready?" Rusty asked.
Smoke just nodded determined as they ran into Windclan's camp. Rusty headed for a gray tabby who was battle scarred attacking a queen.
"Get off her!" Rusty yelled as he attacked the tom.
The tom quickly recovered as he charged at Rusty but Rusty was experienced enough to know when to dodge and when to attack asvhe moved out of the way as he slammed the tabby into the ground knocking him unconscious.
"Keep an eye on him."Rusty said as he heard a small terrified squeak come from a den as he investigated to see Snake trying to steal the kit as he held the kit down Rusty felt rage build up in him as he charged at Snake and shouldered him off of the kit as the kit had a small scratch on its leg that if left untreated would get infected.
"You!" Snake growled.
Instead of responding verbally Rusty charged at Snake and scratched one of his eyes blinding him. Snake pushed him off.
"This isn't over!" Snake growled as he turned around.
Rusty quickly went to the kit and tried to calm it.
"You'll be okay. I need you to hide until everything is safe." Rusty spoke softly to the kit.
The kit just nodded as Rusty went to see what was going on and thankfully Bloodclan started to retreat as he saw them leaving the clearing.
Rusty went over to the cat he knocked out earlier and knew exactly what to do.
"That was just a warning attack if they were truly attacking there would be casualties. they were trying to send a message." Smoke said coming up behind him.
"And they succeeded Bloodclan is getting more bold as their numbers increase. We have to be more ready for them to make their move on the forest." Rusty said as he ducked into the den the kit was in.
"Hey come here uts safe to come out." Rusty spoke softly.
He didn't have to wait long for the kits head to appear and he walked over and grabbed it by its scruff before carrying it out.
The queen that Rusty helped saw him carrying the kit and immediately ran over.
"My kit! He's alright!"
"Yes he's alright Snake was trying to grab him and take him but zi managed to keep him away from the kit." Rusty said.
"I don't know how to thank you for that. You saved my Gorsekit. My names Goldenflower, what's yours?" Goldenflower asked.
"My names Rusty." Rusty said as he walked over to the unconscious Bloodclan cat.
"What should we do with him sir?" Smoke asked.
"We will interrogate him. See if he is willing to talk." Rusty said as he walked away. Smoke just nodded and watched the unconscious cat.
"I don't think it's safe to transport the Bloodclan prisoner. May we interrogate him here incase they want him back?" Rusty asked.
"I guess there is a small clearing on the edge of the camp you'll be out of sight."Tallstar said before going over to Deadfoot.
Rusty began walking over towards the clearing informing him of his plan as Smoke picked up the cat.
When they got out of sight Rusty and Smoke attempted to wake him up and after a little while were successful.
"Where am ?" The Bloodclan cat asked.
Rusty cuffed him over the ears before growling.
"Were the ones asking questions. Now what is your name!?" Rusty asked.
"Stone." He replied.
"So you know how to listen good to know. Now then what is your relationship with Scourge." " Rusty asked.
"A leader to warrior relationship." Stone said again choosing his words carefully.
"When is Bloodclan planning on attacking the clans a second time." Rusty asked.
"I'll never tell."
"Well would you rather be able to see or go blind. One eye at a time." Rusty said showingvhis claws.
"Oh please you wouldnt do anything like that as Scourge says your weak." Stone said looking smug.
"Your choice." Rusty said as he slashed Stone's eye.
"AHHHHH!" Stone screeched before trying to cover his eye.
"Im only going to ask one more time when is Scourge going to attack the clans again." Rusty snarled.
"He's going to attack in half a moon at a place across from a river I think he called it Riverclan. I can tell you where Scourge stays if you promise me safety."Stone said trying to bargain with Rusty.
"Alright I'll bite. Wheres he stay."
"Theres an alley in the middle pf our territory next to a large Twoleg den he stays in the one on the right. Bone stays in the one on the left."
"Alright I know a place you can stay theres an old abandoned twoleg den on the edge of the forest Bloodclan will strughle to find you there. Now go!" Rusty said as Stone got up and ran towards the edge of the forest.
"Well now we've got our information. Comd on lets go home." Smoke said.
Rusty cast one last glance at windclans camp before leaving.
Chapter is done and I gotta say I like that I have a direction and idea and now its coming togetjer but yeah have a good rest of your day.
