Synopsis: Charlie finds out Vaggie pulled out an all-nigher, again.

It was past midnight at the hotel, everyone was already asleep including Charlie, who in the middle of her sleep turned her body to the other side of the bed and stretched her arm to hug her partner, only to find an empty space. Her subconscious noticed the lack, or rather the excess of space and alerted Charlie to wake up.

"Vaggie?" She rambled in a vague voice. Nothing, Charlie raised her head and looked around her room as her eyes tried to make their way through the darkness, but again, nothing, not a light nor sound that gave away any presence.

Charlie got up from the bed and staggered to the room's door, not before bumping her foot on one of the furniture.

"For the seven deadly s—" she choked out her words and bit her lips to keep from crying out as she held onto her foot. "Colors of the rainbooow..." he squealed softly and rubbed himself until the pain disappeared.

She went back to her bed and reached for her phone under her pillows to use her cell phone screen, which had a picture of her and Vaggie hugging each other on a date as a flashlight.

She walked out into the hallway and every hallway and floor was dead silence, save for the occasional snoring of the demon tenants as she made her way through the floors.

"Great, they begin to respect the curfew, that's something." Charlie congratulated herself.

It was not until she reached one of the offices on the first floor, passing the reception, that she found a light on.

Upon entering said office, the first thing she noticed were the small mountains of papers on a desk. Vaggie's desk. Charlie moved between the papers cautious not to accidentally collapse them, upon reaching her destination, she found Vaggie asleep on her desk, with her head sunk between papers and with a pen in hand and several cups of coffee around her. She was breathing so placidly that Charlie didn't want to wake her up, but she was afraid Vaggie's back pain she had complained about lately would worsen by the unorthodox sleeping places Vaggie frequented.

She got close enough and she shook Vaggie as gently as she could. Even with her delicate touch, Vaggie stood up with a startling and aggressive reaction, to the point that she almost fell out of her chair, but Charlie stepped forward and grabbed her before that happened.

"What!? What happened!?" She spluttered as she gazed disoriented around her.

"Easy there, you just fell asleep down here again, come on, let's go back to bed," Charlie proposed to Vaggie, and grabbed her by the hand, the girl got up for a few moments before falling back into her chair.

"I just...I just get this over with the-the thing in the that and…" Vaggie stammered between yawns before falling asleep instantly back in her chair.

Charlie let go a heavy sigh before approaching Vaggie by her side and bent low enough to wrap Vaggie's arm around her shoulders for support.

"Ready?" Charlie asked and she only received a slight grunt in response. "At the count of three… one, two…Three! Aaagh! "

She got up dragging a sleeping Vaggie, unaware of what was going on, and led her out of the office until they reached the elevator. After calling it, she checked to see if Vaggie was awake, to no avail, as she had already returned to a deep sleep. While Charlie was holding her, she tried to accommodate Vaggie in a better grip, for a second her grip slipped and as she tried to regain it, Vaggie's head ended up resting on Charlie's chest which put a silly smile on the face of the unconscious Vaggie .

"Chaaarlie..." she sang awkwardly. "Not here…"

A blush grew in the demon as she turned around every second, wishing nobody found them like this in public.

"Come on, please open up!" She begged the elevator.

The beep and light from the elevator finally announced their arrival and Charlie stepped inside. After pressing the button to the highest floor, Charlie couldn't help but give in to the weight she was carrying and she sat down on the floor.

"Sorry, sorry, are you okay? Vaggie?" She shook Vaggie again but received only slight grunts and complaints in response.

She sat on the floor with her back against the elevator wall and settled Vaggie on her lap while she waited to reach her destination. It wasn't very night, maybe they could get some rest if they got to her room early.

While she waited, Charlie watched her girlfriend as she played with her hair and wondered how she had been so hell lucky. She knew she wouldn't have gotten this far in a thousand years without Vaggie's help. She knew better than anyone how maddening Vaggie could be, with her constant bossiness attitude. But in the same way, she knew that she only did it because she cared in her own way. Just like Charlie herself was doing it for Vaggie right now. She would be lying if she said she hadn't gladly learned a thing or two from Vaggie directly.

Her mind continued to wander with similar ideas until her dream took its toll, before she knew it, Charlie's eyelids grew heavy as theater curtains and she slowly fall asleep.

The next day, an intense but brief light and a CLICK woke up the two girls and they met Angel at the elevator doors, in the reception, with several of the other hotel residents behind him who were trying to contain their laughter in vain or were there by mere curiosity.

"Everyone is going to love this," Angel said looking at his phone as he showed the photo to everyone present, including a demon made of fire. Seconds later Angel realized that they woke up. "Oh good morning, sleeping beauties." And he exploded in laughter along with the others.

"Oh great.../ANGEL WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FUCK!"

A quickie writing not so quickie, but fun nonetheless to write. Despite being shorter than normal, I like it more than second chapter.

Anyways, if you liked it, add it to favorites, leave a comment and search me in Tumblr as "Sondrox".

See you later.
