Rangiku quietly closed the door behind her, they are inside the Kuchiki Mansion having their secret meeting and the owner of the place doesn't know that they have yet found another entrance to his place, or so they think. Momo and Nanao set up their mochitsuki tools in the middle of the room while Isane and Kiyone are preparing the ingredients.
The door opened again, and Kana entered with more ingredients for their project. She placed her basket with fruits beside Isane, as she carefully took some strawberries and cherries out.
"Now now… how do we make it without Kuchiki-sama knowing?" she placed a finger on her lips. Kana has high respect for Byakuya, but she disobeys him in minor situations such as this one.
Yachiru who excitedly rummaged the basket answered with her mouthful of berries "It's ok. Byaki won't get mad if we tell him we are celebrating that you are joining us Pinky." Adding more berries in her mouth.
None of them thinks the homeowner would be fine with it but decided to go on anyway.
Nemu started pounding on the rice while Yachiru chose the flavors for the fillings by taking a bite on each fruit and imagining how it would taste like if it's a mochi. Momo helped Kana with the red beans and the rest were busy creating their flavors as they happily talked.
Byakuya stood outside the door contemplating if he should charge in or just leave them be for now. He was about to leave when he heard his name being mentioned again through the loud sound of pounding.
"Uh, Kuchiki-sama has been nothing but nice to me since I got here." She answered Rangiku who asked.
"Yeah, we can't imagine that happening but Kuchiki Taichou rarely talks so we don't know." She was on her side flipping on a magazine.
"So, how was our Byakuya in bed huh Kana-chi?" a woman asked.
Flustered, Momo immediately covered Yachiru's ears. "Yuruichi-san!" she shout-whispered.
The question stunned Byakuya in place. Snooping is not his thing but somehow his feet were glued on the floor. Damned this cat ona.
"Oh that. No. Kuchiki-sama and I don't do it as lovers do." She almost sounds disappointed.
Angry, Yuruichi bit on an apple. "Tsh, even if it's just for the child he should at least give you a good time! Right Rangiku?!" confident that the woman would agree.
"I can't believe this!" Rangiku had her hand on her forehead giving it a massage. "How could he not appreciate a figure like this." She went on and checked her out.
"You should go ahead and ride him on your next night together." The cat lady suggested. "That'll show him."
He heard a soft laugh.
"Thank you for thinking of me." She folded a bean paste filling inside a mochi. "But I understand why Kuchiki-sama won't see me as a woman for him, it's just business between us Afterall."
"Business?!" four ladies yelled.
"For your sake, Kuchiki Byakuya is a fine man you should take advantage of him while you have the chance." Unohana who just arrived from another entrance gave her advice.
Another soft laugh came.
"Indeed, he is." A little color painted her face as she imagined how handsome he looks in his white kimono with his hair tied up on the nights she spent with him. "Too good for me I'm afraid." Focused on filling the snacks.
Rangiku exhaled, "Women like you will end up with nothing." She watched her features, "You like the Captain, right?"
The girl working on the mochi nodded.
"Nii-sama what are you doing there?" Rukia asked startling her step-brother in the process.
He quickly thought of an excuse despite being caught off guard. "I'm going to check if this room is suitable for a gathering."
"You should check the other room on the left-wing, this room only holds five guests for dinner." She reasoned.
"Is that so?" he breathed faking an expression.
She quickly nodded slowly giving him a push to leave. "Yes, Nii-sama."
"Ok." Giving his sister a quick check then walked away.
"Good evening Rukia-sama" Kana greeted.
Rukia clumsily made her sit down "Please Rukia is fine." She took the space across her beside Nanao.
"Oh Rukia! We were just talking about your brother!" Yuruichi who was enjoying her sake informed her.
"What about Nii-sama?" excited to know what it is about, she paused before taking a bite of a yuzu mochi.
"Isn't it about time for him to find another woman?" Yuruichi continued.
It was uncertain if she gave the taste of the mochi a nod or the woman she's talking to. "I believe so, I also want someone to look after Nii-sama."
"You see Kana-chi even Rukia agrees."
"Why Kana-san? Did you and Nii-sama had a misunderstanding?" she had a tinge of worry in her tone.
"Nah, she just won't make a move on him" this time Rangiku answered.
Rukia's curiosity came before she can even stop herself from asking. "Don't you like him?"
"Yes, I do, but I respect his decision about this matter." The reply was honest.
"That's nonsense." A pair of voices echoed.
"These mochis tastes amazing!"
Byakuya sat in his home office writing on his documents when he heard Yachiru running from a distance.
"Byaki! I found some snacks on the ground!" she cutely placed them on top of his papers.
He knows it's probably a thank you gift for letting them "stay" in his mansion and use his belongings. He glanced at the box and saw nine mochi balls in different colors carefully packed by one of the ladies.
"Can I have them?"
Surprised she didn't eat them yet, he turned his eyes on Yachiru who was drooling at the sweets. "Yes." Pushing the box off the papers he was working on.
"Yay!" And in a few seconds, they were gone.
The morning air slowly warmed up as the sun moved above the 11th Division's training ground. Hisagi and Ikkaku sparred while Renji and Kira cleaned their swords as they sipped on their morning tea. In a few hours, it will be their turn to lead their squad to find the missing Arrancar.
A few miscalculated steps and Hisagi dropped on the floor giving Ikkaku his third win.
"Have you guys seen Kuchiki Taichou's girlfriend?" Hisagi got up wiping his sweat. "I've heard my team talk about her during our runs." He sat beside Kira picking up a bottle of water.
Renji pointed his sword up while checking if there's any more dust he needed to clear. "I only saw her once."
"Well I don't expect Kuchiki Taichou to parade her around, I think it was your squad that told mine about her." Hisagi quenching his thirst.
"What's the deal anyway?" Ikkaku joined in.
"I'm just curious, they said she looked interesting."
Renji got up and sheathed his sword. "Ah!" he finally gets it. " The girl looked like some character from Hisagi's dirty magazines. It's crazy!"
Hisagi choked on his water. "You! Give me back the ones you borrowed last week!"
Kira who was just listening sheathed his sword as well. "Ora let's go see for ourselves. My damn squad won't stop yapping about this too."
And just then, Yuruichi passed by the area they were practicing in dragging a person behind her. Her pink tubed dress flowed with the wind and her haori hanged by her shoulder. Her hair almost touched the ground and it glistened under the sunlight.
Yumichika covered his eyes. "So bright!" He exaggerated as expected.
Ikkaku and Hisagi dropped their jaw. "What the hell?!" they chorused, bright red in their perverse thoughts.
"Yuruichi-san!" Renji called out to her. "Where are you going?"
"Oya!" she enthusiastically smiled at them and dragged the girl their way. "I'm taking Kana-chi to Byakuya"
The girl behind her bowed and smiled. "Hi. I'm Reshin Kana, pleased to meet you." Her smile brightened after looking at the guys in front of her. "Soul society is filled with handsome soul reapers, I'm so happy!"
"Right?!" Yuruichi agreed." But you already have Byakuya, so you can't touch these guys." She teased.
The girl pouted and crossed her arms. "Right... right... Kuchiki-sama is handsome too but he's…" making the most stoic face she can make. "Sigh…". The group snickered. "But he's cute" she grinned.
Yuruichi turned her attention to the guys. "How's the Arrancar search doing?"
"We can't find it. We tried to provoke it with random attacks but there was no sign of it anywhere." Kira explained.
Kana sat beside Hisagi and took the wooden sword beside him. "Whoah!" admiring the weapon. "Oh, what's an Arrancar…?" she looked at him trying to get his name.
"It's Hisagi Shuuhei." Making eye contact with her and immediately blushing while looking away.
"Hisagi-san you're a shy one. Do you like girls that dress like this?" she stood in front of him and twirled cutely knowing what exactly he was thinking. "Or you like girls like this?" she crossed her arms pushing her boobs up while touching her lips imitating a certain person.
She didn't need an answer when the male dropped to the ground with a fountain of blood streaming from his nose. "Just as I thought you liked girls like Rangiku-san" she wholeheartedly laughed.
"You're a weakling Hisagi!" Ikkaku proudly goaded but immediately turned tomato when he saw the girl's overwhelming cleavage as she helped Hisagi up on his toes.
"Oh yeah, what is this Arrancar you are looking for?" swiping the dirt from Hisagi's clothes. "By the way does she know? Maybe I can help you…" mindedly whispering to him.
"An Arrancar is a hollow without its mask," Kira answered. "But don't worry, it's in a weak state at the moment and everyone is working hard to capture it."
Hearing about capturing a hollow Kana ineptly swung the sword pretending she's fighting one.
"You should be more like this when you're around Byakuya, Kana-chi!" Yuruichi suggested.
Amused, Ikkaku raised his arms to stop her. "Here, here you're doing it wrong! You're gonna hurt yourself and the people around you!" as he carefully positioned himself behind her fixing her stance, he leveled his head to her and slowly wrapped his arms around her to show her how to properly hold the bokken.
"What's happening here?"
They all froze when a familiar voice announced unexpectedly.
Hisagi pretended to drink on his empty water bottle, Yumichika scooted to the side to hide, Kira almost got away with flash step but got caught by Renji who was unfortunately not allowed to leave because his Captain just arrived.
"I wanted to talk to you about something!" Yuruichi answered. "I had breakfast at your place, so I took kana-chi along with me."
"Hmmm…" he acknowledged her reason. "Do you want to get injured again Reshin-san?" not breaking his gaze at the people who stood motionless behind Yuruichi.
The girl guiltily faced him, "Ohayo Kuchiki-sama, I made some wagashi for you" she bowed her head then quickly grabbed a small box she had in her little bag.
He didn't answer but she knows it's all ok.
"Ok let's go! Urahara, have a few messages for you." The cat lady led the way.
