Night. My eyelids are so KRIFFING HEAVY, which may be from the paint fumes, but whatever it is, if I don't finish this project soon, I'll fall asleep right here. I take another gulp of caf, which does not help at all.
After what seems like an hour of carefully selecting and laying down colors, I stuff all of my supplies in its drawer and crash on my bunk.
Just as I'm drifting off, however, the Ghost lurches quite a bit and I go flying. Good thing I forgot to take off my armor.
Through my foggy brain, I hear an alarm going off in the cockpit. My door opens and somebody—no, not somebody—Hera—grabs my arm and pulls me into the cockpit. I'm somewhat used to these night crash-landings so I buckle myself in. I'm fully awake now.
"What's wrong this time?" Kanan asks as he walks into the cockpit.
Hera grimace-smirks. "The hyperdrive went down when we were in hyperspace, and now for some reason I can't get control of the ship so we're going to have a VERY exciting landing. I suggest you go get Ezra and Zeb."
Kanan salutes, mutters, "very exciting landing indeed," and walks out.
"Anything I can do to help?" I ask, starting to unbuckle the slightly frayed strap.
Hera shakes her head. "No, just stay strapped in." I look out the front window and we are just entering the atmosphere at an alarming pace. It is a fairly green planet, with rivers and trees and as we get closer, I see a building made of stone. Kanan runs in with Zeb and a half asleep Ezra in his arms. I almost smile at the cuteness but the situation is too dire.
Zeb buckles himself in in front of me and Kanan sits next to me, buckling himself in and holding Ezra tight as we barrel towards the evergreen trees. Kanan tries to slow the Ghost down using the Force, but it's too tricky with Ezra in his arms.
As for me, I put on my helmet and hope for the best.
But of course, something has to go wrong.
As the Ghost hits the tallest trees, I am jolted forward and the fraying straps break, tossing me forward. I try to hold on to something but I can't.
I feel a huge pain in my head and the last thing I hear is my mother…why is she here…saying, "Sucks to be you," and shooting my head. Then everything thing goes black.
