Help is Around the Corner

Addison and Derek's trailer catches fire, and Meredith offers them a place to stay for a while.

Meredith slips past Addison into the shower and takes a deep breath.

"Shoot!" That was way too close.

She just had a dream. A wet dream! About Addison! With Addison there!

Meredith seriously hopes that Addison isn't lying, and she wasn't doing something further humiliating, like moaning, or groping herself.

Anyway, it happened, and it was definitely an awakening for Meredith.

The sexual tension between them is impossible to ignore, for Meredith, at least, and she can't stop looking at Addison like she's a meal.

It's hard to focus on anything else. Except maybe how much she likes Addison. How much she cares for her. How much she desperately wants her to like her back.

Gahhh!

Meredith undresses herself, and when she goes to clean herself up, she realizes she's still throbbing. She's just had an orgasm, and she isn't near satisfied yet.

Biting her lip to keep herself quiet, Meredith keeps the water on while she reaches down to touch herself, picturing Addison's face the whole time.

She almost screams, but she bites down on her lip instead, and she places her hand over her mouth to contain the subsequent shuddering moans.

Once she finally washes herself off again (for real, this time), Meredith brushes her teeth, and gets ready for bed, even though it's unrealistically early, because she's exhausted- okay, exhilarated-, but same thing, right?

She slips on some soft pajamas before she dries her hair briefly with her towel, and climbs into bed again.

"Hey-" says Addison.

"Hey-" says Meredith, still blushing a little, and hoping that Addison will just attribute it to the hot water.

"Did you have a good shower?" Addison asks her, as she looks up from her book (the very same book that Meredith had been reading upside-down not too long ago).

"Yes, umm, why?" asks Meredith, panicked.

"Just asking, I thought it would be nice to ask. I mean, I wasn't going to ask if it was horrible, right?" says Addison.

"Right-" says Meredith. "It was good-" says Meredith, without elaborating.

"Good-" says Addison.

Addison turns back to her book, and Meredith just stares right ahead, a bit stiffly, a foot away from Addison in the bed.

"Are you cold?" says Addison.

"N-no," says Meredith.

"Okay-" says Addison. "I am-" says Addison, as she lays her head on Meredith's shoulder.

"Oh, yeah, " says Meredith. When Addison curls up next to her, she feels a dull shudder from her hyper-aware state from earlier, but she's taken the edge off, so it's manageable now. Meredith's insecurities melt a bit since Addison isn't asking her directly about her shower… Activities… And she pulls Addison closer, and pulls them both under the covers.

"I'm getting divorced tomorrow," says Addison, seemingly out of the blue.

"The papers went through?" says Meredith.

"Yeah, the lawyer looked at them," she says.

"That's a big step," says Meredith.

"Yeah," says Addison. "It's time, I think. We've been moving a part for a while, and the end is here," she says.

"How are you feeling?" says Meredith.

"Pretty good," says Addison. "I'm a little excited to get my name back."

"It's a good name," says Meredith, as she begins playing with Addison's hair.

Meredith loves Addison's hair, it's all red, and curly, and Meredith loves the softness of it.

"Mm, that feels nice," Addison sighs, as Meredith keeps playing with her hair.

Addison puts her book down, and curls into Meredith's lap sleepily.

"I'm glad," says Meredith, as she keeps going, and twirls Addison's hair around her fingers.

Addison is sleepy, and she's about to fall asleep when Izzie knocks on the door.

"We're back from our walk," says Izzie.

"Rr!" says Doc.

"Doc!" says Meredith, as she pats the bed, and encourages him to jump onto it.

Izzie helps because Doc is little.

"Rr!" says Doc.

"Did you have a good walk, Doc?" says Addison.

"Rr!" says Doc.

"Did you go to the park?" says Meredith.

"Rr!" says Doc.

"I think he missed you two," says Izzie.

"Rr!" says Doc.

"Thanks, Iz," says Meredith.

"Of course," says Izzie. "So… We were thinking because Burke's over we were going to have an extra big games night tonight," says Izzie.

"Extra big?" says Addison.

"Extra special," says Izzie. "And we have alcohol! Doesn't that sound like the greatest idea ever?" says Izzie.

"Sounds fun," says Meredith.

"Oof, I haven't played a drinking game since… The party that Mark threw the night before our wedding-" says Addison.

"Then you have to play!" says Izzie.

"Alrighty-" says Addison sleepily.

"We don't have to play if you're too tired," says Meredith generously, as she strokes Addison's scalp.

"Mm, I want to play, in a little while," says Addison.

"Alright, well you can nap for an hour, and then it's game time," says Izzie.

"Got it," says Meredith.

"Okay," says Addison.

"I had a nap earlier, you can sleep now if you want, I'll wake you," says Meredith.

"Okay," says Addison, as Meredith tucks her into her arms.

"Rr," says Doc, as he joins them in the middle of the bed.

"Short catnap, then game night," says Meredith.

"Rr!?" says Doc.

"Alright, short puppy-nap. Then game night," says Meredith.

"Rr!" says Doc.

"Alright Doc, we know. Much better."

Addison sleeps soundly in Meredith's arms, only shifting slightly to cuddle Meredith closer.

Meredith dozes off herself, soothed by the redhead's even breathing.

They love napping with each other.

Doc murmurs happily before he dozes off too.

Downstairs, a dull sound of snoring can be heard from Meredith's (and Addison and Doc)'s room.

"Seriously, like three chainsaws. Now do you hear it?" says Derek.

"It is uncanny how synchronous their snoring is," says Mark.

"When I sleepover with Meredith, I wear earplugs," says Cristina.

"Who's going to wake them up for games night?" says Izzie.

"Not it!" says George.

"Not me!" says Alex.

"Not me!" says Derek.

"Not me!" says Callie. "I did it last time."

"Not me!" says Callie.

"Not me!" says Mark.

"Looks like it's me," says Burke.

"Make sure they're not naked first," says Cristina.

"What!?" says Burke.

"Just knock first," says Cristina.

"Okay then," says Burke, as he walks nervously up the stairs.

"Meredith- Addison-" Burke knocks on the door.

He can hear the snoring getting louder, with the pitches mixing together to form an odd sort of chorus.

"Meredith- Addison- Doc-" says Burke.

"Rr?" says Doc, waking up to the sound of his name.

"Doc, wake Meredith and Addison up!" says Burke.

"Rr..." says Doc.

"Come on, please?" says Burke.

"Rr…" says Doc, unimpressed with the idea.

"Meredith! Addison!" Burke calls out louder.

"We're awake-" Meredith groans.

"Be down in a minute-" says Addison.

"Alright then-" says Burke, as he walks back to the kitchen.

Doc puts his head down and pretends he's asleep still as Meredith and Addison untangle themselves, and put on a sweater before heading down for the game night.

He opens one eye to see that they're gone before he gets up, and stretches, and rearranges himself in the middle of the pillows before settling down for his nap again.
