Help is Around the Corner

Addison and Derek's trailer catches fire, and Meredith offers them a place to stay for a while.

** KNOCK KNOCK**

"Shoot," says Addison.

"Mm-" Meredith whines, as she keeps kissing Addison's neck.

"Meredith-" says Addison, trying not to moan as she pulls back from Meredith's lips. "The door-"

"It can wait-" says Meredith, as she kisses Addison's collarbone.

"It might be important," says Addison.

"Not as important as me making you feel good-" Meredith growls, as she licks up to Addison's ear.

The door bursts open, and Meredith looks up, mid-lick before she slides her tongue back into her mouth, and Addison freezes, her eyes widening as she locks eyes with the intruder.

"Ah, umm… I'll just come back then-" says a very surprised-looking Derek Shepherd, as he sighs to himself.

"Derek," says Meredith apologetically.

"Derek, I'm sorry-" Addison gasps.

"It's okay, I should have knocked…" says Derek, as he closes the door behind him. "You know-" says Derek through the now-closed door. "If I recall correctly, these doors do have locks on them-" says Derek.

"Right…" says Meredith.

"You never locked the door!?" says Addison.

"Oops!" says Meredith.

"Oh my goddess-" says Addison.

"Do you want me to lock the door now?" says Meredith, mischievously.

"No!" says Addison.

"Oh, so you just want to keep making out with the door open? I see, I never knew you were into exhibitionism Addison, but I could get into that..." says Meredith leans down to kiss her again.

"No!" says Addison. "I mean, we should stop, I mean, we're in the hospital, and there are people around. People who know us, people who are patients, and we should stop-" says Addison, but she says this as she's continuing to stroke Meredith's sides, and play with her hair, so it's sending Meredith some mixed messages.

"Do you want to stop?" Meredith purrs, as she nibbles lightly on Addison's earlobe.

"Professionally yes, personally… That feels unreal-" Addison moans, as Meredith sucks on her earlobe.

"So… I guess it's a no, then?" says Meredith.

"Yeah," says Addison, relieved that Meredith isn't still kissing her, because when Meredith kisses her, she can't think about anything other than Meredith kissing her.

"Okay," says Meredith, as she hops up to lock the door, and then just wraps her arms around Addison's neck, and leans into her.

"I really like kissing you, it's just…" says Addison. "Not an ideal place and time."

"I get that," says Meredith. "You're an attending, you've got to be professional," says Meredith.

"You're an intern, you've got to be professional," Addison giggles.

"Yeah, well…" Meredith says sheepishly.

"Your career matters, Meredith. You matter," says Addison. "I don't want you to throw all of that away before you get started. Things might be different if that had been Richard, or Bailey"

"Yeah…" says Meredith. "Thank you. I guess I just get caught up in the lust of things," says Meredith.

"It's exciting, we're seeing each other, and I love that. But I want more than just your body, Meredith," says Addison.

"Thank you," says Meredith, her eyes tearing up from how happy that Addison is saying these things to her.

"Are you sad?" says Addison.

"No," says Meredith. "You're just so… Good to me," Meredith starts actually crying, and Addison holds her.

"Are you sad… Because I'm good to you?" says Addison.

"No, I'm sad because you're good to me, and I'm treating you like a hot piece of ass-" says Meredith.

"Meredith-" says Addison.

"I'm dragging you to on-call rooms to make out when you don't seem comfortable with it, and I didn't ask you about it. I should have asked," says Meredith.

"I didn't exactly stop you," says Addison, as she kisses Meredith on the top of the head. "If I really didn't want to, I'd have stopped you," says Addison. "And I'll tell you, from now on, if I don't want to do something, okay?" says Addison.

"Okay," says Meredith.

"And you're very good to me too," says Addison. "You give me all the attention I could ever need," Addison smiles.

"I don't understand how people could not pay attention to you," says Meredith. "When you walk in, the whole room lights up for you."

"You light up the room for me," says Addison.

"Why aren't you crying?" says Meredith.

"I don't know, maybe I will later," says Addison.

"Okay," says Meredith. "And then I get to say all kinds of cheesy things to make you smile again," says Meredith.

"Alright," says Addison.

** BEEP BEEP BEEP **

"Guess we've got to get back to work," says Meredith.

"Yep," says Addison.

"I'll see you later?" says Meredith.

"You bet," says Addison.

Meredith and Addison part ways, and answer their pagers, and work until the early evening until their shifts are over.

"Excited to go home?" says Meredith.

"Yeah," says Addison, as she holds Meredith's hand.

"So I hear Derek walked in on you two this afternoon," says Mark.

"Mark!?" says Addison.

"Yeah…" says Derek.

"Derek!?" says Meredith.

"I wasn't trying to, believe me," says Derek.

"Already steaming up those on-call rooms, nice," says Mark.

"Hey!" says Meredith, as she swats at him.

"I didn't need to see that…" says Derek.

"We really didn't mean to-" says Addison.

"Dude, you saw them making out?" says Alex.

"Mind your own business, Alex," says Addison.

"I didn' really try to look," says Derek.

"Stop picturing us!" says Meredith.

"I'm just saying," says Alex.

"Ugh!" says Addison.

"Can you like, lock your door from now on?" says George.

"Yes," says Addison.

"I forgot," says Meredith.

"Or we could never visit them in their room ever," says Izzie.

"We do other things than make out," says Meredith.

"Yeah, we talk, share our feelings…" says Addison.

"You just gotta remember to knock," says Cristina.

"Sometimes you forget to knock," says Callie.

"Let's just all remember to lock doors and knock," says Burke awkwardly.

"I also hear you got roughed up by Bailey," says Burke, changing the subject.

"Yep, she gave us the speech," says Meredith.

"Does Richard know about you two?" says Mark.

"He didn't appear to, though we weren't really hiding it," says Meredith.

"We were holding hands," says Addison.

"Hopefully he's okay with it," says Derek.

"Thank you, that's very supportive, Derek," says Meredith.

"Are you two cooking dinner tonight? Because we cooked breakfast," says Mark.

"We brought dinner last night!" says Addison.

"Well, you did. I just burned quesadillas," says Meredith.

"I'll make dinner," says Izzie. "And Alex can buy booze, because I lke my space in the kitchen," she adds.

"Alright, give me a list," says Alex.

"I love living with everyone," says Meredith.

"It's a bit of a frat house," says Derek.

"It's a good frat house though," says Mark.

"It IS a good frat house," says Alex.

"How many frat houses have you lived in?" says George.

Alex just smirks, and he and Mark high-five each other.

"Frat boys," Addison rolls his eyes at them in a teasing way.

When they get to the house, they find Doc in the hammock, rocking back and forth gently.

"How did he-" says Derek.

"Was the door unlocked?" says Mark. "Nope," he says, as he tests it.

"Doc! How did you get outside!?" says Meredith.

"Rr…" says Doc sheepishly.

"Through the window!?" says Addison.

"Rr…" says Doc.

"Thank goodness he's not hurt," says Izzie.

"Rr…" says Doc.

"He just really likes that hammock," says George.

"Rr!" says Doc.

"Alright, but move over," says Derek. "This is my hammock."

"Rr," says Doc, as he shifts so Derek can also sit in the hammock.

"Oh, me three," says Mark, as he squishes into the hammock.

"Rr!" says Doc, as he moves over again.

"How many people do you think can fit in that hammock?" says Alex.

"No more! No breaking my hammock!" says Derek.

"Probably less than in the house," says Meredith. "Shall we?"

Addison unlocks the door, and Izzie goes to make dinner, and Alex gets drinks, and they're off for another relaxing evening in the Meredith Grey Frat House.
