A/N: Gossip Girl was released in 2007, but for the sake of the reference I make in this chapter, let's just pretend it was released in 2005 LOL.
Chapter Ten.
Of Whereabouts.
Tokyo, Japan.
"Talking curses?"
Satoru nods, watching Masamichi set down his cup of green tea, the stern look on his face telling Satoru that his former sensei was processing what he had just told him.
Sighing, Masamichi places a hand on his temple, unsure of what this all meant, "I can't say I'm surprised. But for them to be working together means there has to be a plan in place that we're not aware of."
Frowning, Satoru remains silent, unable to get rid of the heavy feeling in his chest. It wasn't that he wasn't confident that he could defeat these curses, but the things they were destroying in the effort of enacting their plans and the people they were affecting was what he found was bothering him the most. For those were things out of his control.
"A curse that uses fire and lava for its techniques, another one that seems nature based, and lastly one that can imitate people… that's a little …"
"Overpowered? Dangerous? Yeah I know," Satoru groans in frustration, "But based on what Yuuji told me about that night in the mirror house, that curse has to have its own set of limitations. No way can it copy anything it sees just like that. I just need it to target me…"
Taking a sip from his drink, Masamichi finds himself unsure of what to say, "Telling the higher ups would only result in chaos, but..."
Behind his blindfold, Satoru rolls his eyes. Though he respected Masamichi, he hated how "by the book" the man was. Sadly, by being principal of Jujutsu High, it was now in the man's second nature to consider higher up involvement in situations like this despite those very same people being more than willing to turn their back on him should the need ever arise.
Of course that didn't mean he looked up to them or anything, the man just had a job that he was bound by, something Satoru completely understood. It was why even now after filling in Masamichi on everything that Satoru didn't exactly expect him to be of any help. In a sense, he was only using him as someone he could rant to and get certain things off his chest.
If anything, what Satoru needed was someone who wasn't bound by duty nor job, someone who was nearly as strong as him just in case things went wrong. He also needed someone to do some snooping around for him because at this point he was sure there was someone at the college in contact with either a curse user or spirit.
Asami? No, she was gone…
Shoko? She'd be too busy considering how much the higher ups purposely liked to dog pile her with different assignments.
Maybe Hakari? No, the boy was still suspended. Not to mention that Satoru needed to keep this well under wraps and well Hakari's temper wasn't exactly the best.
Mei Mei? She was definitely a possibility, but Satoru still needed to clear her of suspicion.
Utahime? Hm. Well by having her investigate into the Kyoto side, she'd definitely cut down his workload, but sadly she wasn't strong enough for him to rely on just in case things went wrong.
How about …. Yuuta? A light bulb goes off in his head, 'If Miguel's trained him well enough, then Yuuta should be perfect!' he thinks to himself, making a mental note to book a flight to Africa soon as time was only ticking. And at the rate things were going, he needed to make sure his students were well trained and prepared for any surprises.
"I think I have it all figured out," Satoru interrupts Masamichi's self-rambling.
Masamichi raises a brow.
"Just trust me," Satoru fakes a grin.
Narrowing his eyes at the Six Eyes user, Masamichi remains silent, knowing that there wasn't much he could do when it came to changing the young boy's mind. Young boy because despite Satoru being a well grown man, to Masamichi he'd always be the same bratty student he met over 10 years ago, the one who was still full of himself to this day.
It was why even now, while staring at Satoru, all Masamichi could see was the boy dressed in a student's uniform who liked to wear round sunglasses thinking that it made him look cool and constantly fooled around in class with the rest of his three other classmates.
Hiding his smile, Masamichi recalls a certain memory.
2005.
"I got it, I got!" a fifteen year old Asami excitedly announces her accomplishment, all eyes turning to her. Wiggling her fingers, she grins at the sight of her cursed energy imbuing itself around the tips of her nails, a small victory in her road of learning how to manipulate cursed energy.
"Nice," Suguru gives her a high five and because she still didn't know how to "turn off" her cursed energy, their hands repel when making contact. The shock that resembled electricity making them yelp in pain.
"Sorry!" Asami tries to reach out to him in an attempt to apologize, only shocking him once more, "Oh my God!" she dramatically cries out, cluelessly reaching out for him again.
Frantically dodging her, Asami begins to chase him around, "Hey why are you running away from me!" she yells, unaware that her cursed energy was still flowing to her fingers.
Snapping a photo of the scene in front of her with her brand new flip phone, Shoko laughs at her two classmates for moments like these were often a daily thing, not that she was complaining.
"I don't understand why—Ah!" tripping on a crack, Asami finds herself falling to the ground, the speed in which she was running causing her body to twist around, her hands impulsively reaching to the sky as everything seems to start moving in slow motion. Shutting her eyes, she prepares to feel the impact of the cement floor, shocked to say the least when she in fact doesn't.
Hesitantly opening her eyes, she finds an annoyed looking Satoru grabbing her by the hands, his quick thinking reflexes ultimately preventing her from falling to the ground. Staring at him in shock, she's unsure of what to say. That was until….
"Is this going to be a regular thing?" Satoru scoffs, pulling her up to her feet.
Scowling, Asami is quick to go on the defensive, "What's that supposed to mean?"
"You and Suguru always fooling around and doing stupid things," he says, rolling his eyes at the girl, "We're here to learn, not to play tag like we're at some elementary playground."
Mouth gaping open, she glares at him, "That's rich coming from you! You're the king of disobeying orders! Since when do you care about learning?"
Narrowing his eyes at her, he finds himself regretting not letting her fall to the ground, Suguru's and Shoko's snickers from behind only making him more annoyed, "Since—"
"That's enough you two," Masamichi interrupts Satoru before he can get in his final jab, a tiresome look on his face, "Come on Asami, let me see what you've learned."
Glaring at each other for a final time, Asami lets out an annoyed huff while walking towards Masamichi. Raising her hands, she takes in a deep breath, focusing on channeling her cursed energy into her fingers just like before. Feeling the cursed energy flowing out her fingers, she gives Masamichi a giant grin, the girl clearly satisfied with herself.
Masamichi gives her a nod of approval, "Not bad," he says, "And you've been watching those movies like how I told you to right?"
Nodding her head yes, she looks at the bruise on her arm, Masamichi's cursed doll having punched her in arm the day before, after sensing her cry over a romance movie.
"Good, as long as you consistently practice, then you should be able to completely control and apply your cursed energy in no time."
Smiling, Asami prepares to say something until she finds herself getting interrupted by a certain someone, "What he really means to tell you is that you're learning superrrrr slow," Satoru butts in.
With a cross-popping vein appearing on her forehead, Asami wants nothing more than to punch the boy straight in his face, but instead settles for a mumbled, "Shut it."
"Not until you can do…" Satoru's cursed energy begins to outflow from all over his body, "this," he smugly taunts her..
Rolling her eyes, Asami huffs in annoyance, "Do you always have to do that?"
"Do what?"
"Show off like as if I'm going to praise you one of these days," she harshly mutters, having dealt with his constant battering for much too long now.
"Do you always have to dress like you're Blair Waldorf? We're not in some private prep school either, you do realize that right?" he retorts back, Asami's mouth falling to the floor.
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?!" she yells, "I don't dress like Blair Waldorf!" she turns to Shoko and Suguru, "Right?!"
Expecting them to come to her defense, she's only met with awkward stares, their nervous laughter acting as their answer. With her mouth slightly opening in shock, she immediately looks down at her outfit, frowning in the process. From the black knee high socks to the matching preppy cross tie and headband, the young girl's outfit truly did scream Upper East Side brat.
Noticing her fallen expression, Satoru gives her a knowing look, one that says, "Told you so."
Quickly knitting her brows, she scowls at him, "Yeah well what the hell are you doing even watching the show!" she barks at him, "Let me guess, rooting for Blair and Chuck?" she teasingly pouts at him, the boy's face reddening as a result.
"No! Blake Lively is—"
"That's enough you two," Masamichi interrupts Satoru for a second time today, feeling an incoming headache well on its way.
"But—" the two teens say.
"Enough," he firmly repeats, the tone of his voice signalling that he wasn't playing. Placing a hand to his temple, he tries to wrap his mind around how two students could hate each other so much, months having gone by since Asami's arrival and the two still constantly at each other's throat, fighting a war that seemed like it was never going to end. Each side being too stubborn to call it a truce.
Noticing the frustrated look on his sensei's face, Suguru decides that this was the perfect opportunity to share the mischievous idea he and Shoko had talked about weeks prior. Calling his sensei over, the boy whispers something inaudible to the man's ear, Asami and Satoru looking at the two of them in wonder, knowing that nothing good was coming out of their classmate's mouth.
Nodding his head, Masamichi has a rare small smile on his face, clearly a fan of whatever it was Suguru was telling him.
Pointing his finger at the two arguing students, Masamichi signals to them to walk over to him, the two begrudgingly following orders.
"Look at what you've caused, now we're in trouble like some preschoolers, " Asami harshly mutters to him while walking, Satoru turning to glare at her.
"At least I wasn't running around like one," he counters back.
Scoffing, she's about to say something in return until she realizes that they were already in front of Masamichi. Not wanting to get into further trouble, she ultimately chooses to keep her mouth shut, letting Satoru take this round.
"Yes Masamichi-sensei?" Asami innocently bats her eyes at him, only making Satoru roll his eyes, fighting every bone in his body into not saying something.
"Because Satoru here believes himself to be much better than everybody here and because you need as much as training as you can get," he pauses, mentally preparing for the reaction he was about to get from the two students, "Thanks to your lovely classmates' idea, I've decided I'm going to have you," he points at Satoru, "Help train her," he points at Asami.
Eyes bulging out of their sockets, they both immediately begin to argue against the idea, for the first time finding themselves fighting for the same cause.
"No way!"
"You've got to be kidding me!"
Unsurprised by their reactions, Masamichi simply ignores their childish behavior, "You heard me. Starting tomorrow you two need to find time in your day to train with each other, you'll also be going on missions with one another."
Shaking his head, Satoru continues to protest against the order, "Come on Masamichi! As if there's something I can learn from her! This is going to be nothing but a waste of my time."
With a stern look on his face, Masamichi refuses to relent, "You're forgetting the honorific behind that name young man," he reminds Satoru, deciding that he wasn't going to tolerate the boy's rudeness today, "Maybe you can takes notes from her on how to be polite in these next couple of months"
"Months?!" Asami shouts in disbelief, and Masamichi only nods.
"Months," he says, confirming to her that she had heard correctly, "I need to see that adequate progress has been made in not only your training but your teamwork with each other, luckily the two go hand in hand in this case," he says, "the better you are at being a sorceress then the better your teamwork has gotten."
Huffing in annoyance, the two cross their arms and avoid eye contact with one another, refusing to believe that their sensei was being serious.
"And if we don't?" Satoru suddenly asks out of nowhere.
"Don't what?"
"Don't work with one another. Who says we have to follow your orders?" Satoru mumbles, his ego getting the better of him.
Masamichi shrugs, "You're right you don't," and for a small moment he allows silence to fill the air, purposely raising his students' hope, "You'll just get kicked out of the school," he nonchalantly states.
"What?!"
"Don't act so surprised," he says, "I'm sure your parents would be more than happy to have you back at the circus while still stuck not knowing how to properly exorcise a curse," he looks at Asami before turning his attention to Satoru, "And you will do just fine at an average high school, for average people. Because the only way you'll get to be an official shaman and go on official missions is by attending this school. Something you won't get to do if you don't follow my orders."
Mouths gaping open, the two are at a loss of words, unable to comprehend the ultimatum they'd been given. Turning to one another Asami and Satoru stare at each other in silence, before sighing and slumping down their shoulders, realizing that they had no choice but to comply.
"Fine," the two silently mumble, already plotting their revenge on their other two classmates.
Present Day.
"Asami will come back," Masamichi says out of nowhere, catching Satoru by surprise.
"W-What?"
"She will come back," he repeats, sounding just as affirmative as he did before.
"What makes you say that?" Satoru asks, unable to deny the small feeling of hope that was beginning to arise in his heart.
The image of his former students walking around the garden appears in Masamichi's mind, having caught them on his way to his meeting with Gakuganji. The blushing look on the girl's face telling him everything he needed to know.
"Because around you," Masamichi pauses, a smiling Asmai appearing in his mind, "Asami's always been the happiest."
Meanwhile somewhere in Africa…
Groggily opening her eyes, Asami feels the heat of the sun rays hit her skin, sweat dripping from her forehead as the blurry view of an African grassland begins to slowly come into focus. Feeling her head pound, she tries to focus on the muffled voices that could be heard in the background, wondering what the hell they were talking about.
'Is this a side effect of the tranquilizer,' she wonders while looking out the window of the car she was in, noticing that there was a city not too far from where they were, its vast number of skyscrapers hard to miss. But the things that were much more apparent to her were the zebras that were only a couple of feet away from her … how ironic.
'Where the hell am I?' she thinks to herself, only then noticing that her hands were tied.
Oh right. She had been captured.
Groaning, she immediately hears the sound of a gun clicking.
"So you're finally up," a familiar voice says, and slowly Asami turns her head to the figure, the man named Miguel seated in the passenger side of the car she was in, his body now turned in an angle that faced her, the gun he used to tranquilize her still in his hands.
"Where am I?" she manages to mumble out, glancing at the rear view mirror of the car, only to find a man she didn't recognize driving, 'And where the hell is that brat?' she finds herself wanting to ask, feeling as if she was going to pass out at any second.
"Africa."
She wants to roll her eyes and say something snarky to him, her drowsy state making it hard to do so.
"I should kill you," she mutters, throwing her head back in an attempt to move the strand of hair that was currently covering her face, ultimately failing to do so. Feeling someone do it for her, she side eyes the seat beside her, 'Ah there you are' she turns her head to face the boy she'd been trying to kill earlier.
"Okkotsu Yuuta," she whispers his name, her body feeling as if it was being pricked by millions of burning needles.
Staring at a dozing Asami, Yuuta can't help but feel a pang of guilt at seeing the current state she was in, the tranquilizer the village elders had "made" really honing in on the woman. She was silently suffering and he knew it.
"Water," she mumbles, "Water," she eyes the plastic water bottle beside him, beginning to suck in for air like a fish out of water.
Noticing the guilt ridden expression on his student's face, Miguel tightens his grip on the gun, "Don't do it Yuuta," he warns him, deciding that it was better to play it safe than sorry.
"Please," she weakly whispers, now making eye contact with the boy, her half-lidded eyes practically pleading to him for help.
Gulping, Yuuta grabs the water bottle beside him, slowly twisting the cap open.
"Yuuta," Miguel cautiously says his name, giving the boy his final warning.
Hesitantly pulling back, he begins to think of the possible consequences of his potential actions. What was the worst that could happen?
'She could possibly kill all of us,' he reasons with himself, as for he all knew the water he was about to give her could be some catalyst for an attack, 'But then again, it's just water…'
Feeling the rim of the plastic bottle get placed onto her lips, Asami gulps down every drop of water, immediately feeling a relaxing sensation wash over her, her throat no longer as parched as it was before.
"Thank you," she quietly murmurs before closing her eyes and resting her head against the car window.
"Mm," Miguel glares at Yuuta through his sunglasses, not a fan of having his orders disobeyed, but not like there was much he could do now.
Taking in a deep breath, Asami cracks her neck from side to side, beginning to feel slightly better.
"Where are we going?" she asks, hazily looking out the window, admiring the view of the upcoming sunset.
"To a village of sorcerers," Miguel responds truthfully, "or as I like to call it home," he says, continuing to point his gun at her, "So don't try anything stupid once we get there."
She rolls her eyes, not bothering to face the man, "Do you plan on pointing that thing at me the whole ride there?" she says, unamused by the drastic tactics he was using, "Don't you think if I wanted to pull something stupid, I would've done it by now?"
"Better to play it safe than sorry, I mean you did just say you should kill me," he reminds her of the words she spoke from earlier, unwavering his aim at her.
"I said I should, not that I am," she counters back, directing her cold stare to him, "As long as I don't sense my life is being threatened then all should be good…"
"And how are you sure it's not being threatened right now?"
"You need me alive for something don't you?" she retorts, becoming annoyed with his broad statements, "If not you would've killed me when I was unconscious. And not to sound like my ex or anything, but I'm quite a strong person," and suddenly using her cursed energy, she rips apart the flimsy rope that was tying her hands together, "I'm sure you must've known that right?" she gives him a mocking smile.
"Don't move, or I'll shoot," he threatens her, but Asami only scoffs.
Yawning, she stretches her now free arms, "Whatever was in that tranquilizer is pretty strong, I'll give you that," she begins to crack her knuckles, "But I'm quite certain that a second dose just won't hit the same, will it?"
He remains silent, wanting to see where she was going with this.
Placing her index finger to her chin, she begins to think out loud, "Someone in your village must've customized those guns with a special condition in mind, something among the lines of... in exchange for one time tranquilizers that can actually put me to sleep, the sorcerer promised God knows what. It's why the bullets were capable of putting me to sleep, but killed anyone else it came in contact with."
'Bingo,' she thinks to herself when seeing how his face falters.
"Didn't take you as someone who was very intuitive…" he mumbles to himself, loud enough for her to hear.
She shrugs, "I've seen something similar before on a solo mission back when I was younger. It was a commissioned curtain that in exchange of limiting me to only physical weapons, everyone else had free access to enter. But that's a story for another day, it just reminded me that such things exist."
She scoffs, "Not to mention this boy's cursed energy being imbued in those guns," she shakes her head, "Tell me, was that just to throw me off?"
Miguel nods, before he slowly and not to mention stubbornly, lowers the gun, "So then why aren't you trying to escape?" he asks her, wanting to know her motives for staying.
She turns to face Yuuta, staring at him with an unreadable expression, "Because you killed Suguru," she says, a dumbfounded look appearing on the boy's face.
"S-Suguru?" he blinks at her.
Miguel rolls his eyes, "She's talking 'bout Geto," he says.
And suddenly everything begins to make sense for Yuuta, "O-Oh. But I didn't kill him…"
She furrows her brows, "You might as well have if we're being honest, I mean you basically loaded the gun for Satoru."
'Satoru must be Gojou-sensei…' he thinks to himself, unaware that that was his sensei's first name.
"So why'd you do it?" she asks him, sounding a little too eager to know the answer.
Silently thinking to himself, Yuuta begins to ask himself why did he ever fight Geto. Oh right…
"Because he hurt the people I care about," he simply answers, the image of his friends back at home appearing in his mind, the different number of memories filled with laughter and genuine happiness he's felt with them flashing in his mind one by one.
Studying him up and down, she stares at him in silence, her intense gaze beginning to make him feel the heat of the sun that he originally thought he was already used to, sweat now trickling down his neck as he silently gulps to himself.
"A little righteous don't you think?"
He remains silent, unsure of the answer to her question. At the end of the day, the two sorcerers had been fighting for different causes, fighting for what they believed was right and so in that sense wasn't it all just self righteous bullshit? Difference being that Geto wanted to kill people he viewed as being lesser than him … monkeys … as he liked to call them. And well that was wrong …. wasn't it?
Sensing his inner turmoil, she asks him a final question, "Do you regret it?"
Hesitantly, he nods his head no, "I don't," he says, maintaining his eye contact with her, "And if I had to do it all over again for the sake of my friends then I would."
"Hmm," she quietly hums to herself, and for a quick moment a small rare smile appears on her face, the memories of her own high school days which were filled with genuine laughter and happiness coming to mind.
'Satoru really is teaching you them well…' she thinks to herself, a longing feeling in her heart beginning to surface. Shaking her head, she dismisses the feeling, flicking the boy's forehead in the process.
"Ow," he yelps, "What was that for?"
"For ruining my trip," she says, frowning at the boy before turning to Miguel and sighing, "Look, whatever it is you need me for, don't worry, I'll cooperate..."
He gives her a wary look, waiting for the following "but" statement.
"But…"
'There it is,' he thinks to himself.
"Like I said earlier, the moment I feel like my own life is in genuine danger, all bets are off," she states, cautiously staring at the man, waiting to see his reaction.
Surprisingly he simply nods in agreement, even offering her his hand to shake, and hesitantly she does, his grip being quite firm, "You got yourself a deal," he smiles, satisfied with how things ended up playing out as it meant less work for him.
"Oh and by the way, don't tell Satoru I'm here, not yet at least," she adds, causing Miguel to only laugh.
"Wasn't planning on it."
Meanwhile…
Stretching her arms above her head, a relaxed Kagami lets out an accidental moan, the hot spring water she was currently bathing in, evoking the sound out of her.
"Mm I see why these things are so popular in Japan," she cracks her neck from side to side, "So relaxing," she sings, a mischievous smile appearing on her face when she notices the extra steam coming out of a certain curse's volcano top.
Swimming over to him, she laughs, "Never seen a woman's body before Jogo?" she teases him, "Ah humans and curses, both perverts at the end of the day," she sighs.
"I'm not a pervert!" Jogo yells, quickly coming to his own defense, lava spilling out of his headtop.
Softly chuckling, Geto watches the exchange from the large rock he was sitting on, "Tease him anymore and he might just explode."
Smirking, she turns her attention to the young man, "I have to say, I had my doubts when you told me about going to that abandoned fair, but it turned out to be worth it in the end…" she continues to calmly swim around, "Because had it been Gojou who'd arrived and I would've gone out of my way to—"
"But it wasn't," Geto interrupts, "Was it not?"
She stares at him with the same menacing smile on her face because though his voice evoked no emotion, she knew that she was treading on very thin ice, 'Ah so they're keeping it a secret from everyone.' she thinks to herself, finding that things were beginning to get more interesting.
"Why couldn't it be Gojou?" Jogo finds himself asking, unaware of the underlying context of their tense exchange.
Rolling her eyes, Kagami turns back to the volcano looking curse, "I sorta thought after getting your ass kicked by the man that you'd understand why I wouldn't want to face him," she mocks him.
"Why you—"
"But since you lack the proper critical thinking skills, I'll explain for you," she interrupts him, every word dripping with venom, "Most, if not all, of my techniques work best on those who are insecure and hate what they see in the mirror. Based on your fight with Gojo Satoru, and what we've all been told about him, it's clear that the man loves himself, in act his ego would've completely nullified anything I had for him."
"¿reucesin si namow imasA siht os dnA"
"That's right Hanami," Kagami says, able to understand the nature based curse, "She was indeed the perfect target," she fakes a yawn, knowing that it was impossible for her to sleep. She was a cursed spirit after all.
Staring at her reflection in the ripples of the water, the curses around her notice the longing expression on her face, aware that she didn't particularly like her appearance, "That night at the mirror house, that woman foolishly looked into my mirror…"
Kagami's eyes become glossy as she places a single finger onto the water, changing the reflection from that of her own to the one she dreamed of. It's appearance strikingly similar to Asami's, if not the same, the only difference being the change in hair color.
"Because of that I got to see small glimpses of her life and the memories that seem to be most dearest to her, both good and bad, for those are the ones that make her … her…"
A tense silence fills the air.
Clenching her jaw, Kagami tries to suppress the anger she was beginning to feel, "Do you know that that woman has had everything a curse like me could ever dream of," her mouth twists, feeling that her upper lip was beginning to tremble, unsure if it was truly out of anger or if it was indeed out of…. sadness.
"She has a power like no other, people around her who look up to her, looks that could be compared to that of a goddess, and most importantly," tears begin to brim her eyes, "she's had…"
"True love," Geto says for her, a subtle conniving look on his face.
'Ah I should've known, a curse who wants to be loved. It only makes sense considering she's born from human insecurity. And all humans ever want is to be told and reassured that they are loved.' Geto thinks to himself, 'I have to say, for a cursed spirit, this one's pretty interesting.'
Turning to Jogo, she scowls at her "comrade".
"You say that we're the true humans, that we represent the pure truths of life, and I mean based on what I saw in her memories, it's brought anger, sadness, and betrayal, so then why don't I get to feel it? Why don't I get to feel this stupid thing called love?" she feels her voice shake, the reflection in the water returning back to its original image, reminding her of what she'd never get to be.
Gulping, Jogo finds himself unsure of what to say, not because he didn't know the answer to her question but because he just wasn't sure if she'd be able to handle it.
"Well answer the question you stupid old melon head!" she glares at him.
He continues to remain silent.
"And somehow that woman is still unhappy with herself," Kagami mutters under her breath, a look of disgust now on her face, "Which is why I want her dead."
Geto smirks, for everything was going according to plan.
A/N: So this chapter was a what I would consider more of a "filler" chapter lol as I needed to establish who was where and hint at upcoming things which is why this chapter is a little more on the dialogue side than it is the describing. Next chapter will definitely be more interesting LOL. I also needed to add some characterization to Kagami so that's what that last scene was for... A curse who seeks love and reassurance eeek.
(Warning: Spoilers Below)
Has anyone read Chapter 147? Hit straight in the feels and what sucks is that Yaga plays such a big role in later chapters that go into the past :'( (at least in this story lmao)
Also I was wondering if you guys would prefer for me to refer to Geto as "Pseudo-Geto" or keep it as is. I used Geto in this chapter because technically by this point Geto still hasn't been revealed as Kenjaku and I believe the curses didn't originally know as well considering Mahito refers to him by Geto? (except if you carefully read then you probably noticed that Kagami knows based on her use of "they" which of course will be explained later on). Please let me know as I don't want things to get confusing for any of y'all lol.
