Hey, guys! I'm here with another chapter!

Before I start, I should tell you that I plan to write a modern rewrite of Jurassic Park, with updated paleontology and technology.

What do you think?

Enjoy, and please R&R!

Chapter X

Green Crystal Landing Site, Osaka, Japan

Drakon cried out as the orchid mantid Titan threw him almost half a mile away from the crystal. The giant four-winged Dimorphodon had to hold his breath until his head was out of the toxic green gas.

Drakon raised his head from the noxious cloud and flapped his wings to launch an aerial assault on Abaddon. He was intercepted halfway by the Kamacuras, who had to stay airborne to avoid the gas, but Drakon landed on the ground just fine.

Abaddon screamed harshly as she raised her arms and wings in a threat display. Drakon did the same, splaying out his wings and roaring. However, his roar ended rather feebly with a disgusting cough, followed by a long heave.

The heave was followed by more coughing, which triggered a massive bought of vomiting. The contents of the vomit revealed an odd detail about Drakon's life:

Drakon was infected by Shinomura eggs as a hatchling.

The bits of Drakon's vomit squirmed and wriggled around, before dying in the deadly gas. Suddenly, he flew out of the gas and rocketed upwards, gagging and coughing as he flew.

With a violent rip, Drakon's skin split and revealed an arthropod creature similar in appearance to Shinomura, but larger and possessing four wings. It gracefully glided down to the same level as the buildings and looked around, before zeroing in on one in particular.

On the roof of this building was a humanoid figure, naked and blue in coloration. It held its arms out to its sides, a thin membrane receding into its skin. Shinomura opened its mouth and let the figure walk inside, before raising itself back up.

Then, it started to twitch. Violently. Its eyes blinked rapidly and its head slammed into several buildings. It was like it was suffering a seizure.

Finally, the twitching stopped, and Shinomura raised its head. It looked over to Abaddon, then to the green crystal behind her. It chittered and flew over her to the crystal, and started to wrap its long body around it, absorbing the radiation it gave off.

Its head snaked to the top of the crystal, and it gave off a loud scream that called out to all the Titans, telling them just what was happening.

And that SpaceGodzilla had lied.

"Well, that's odd," Stanton noted. "The non-destructive Titans have stopped fighting and are converging on Tibet."

"That is odd," Mark agreed. "Any idea why?"

"We are getting an Alpha-frequency roar in Osaka," Ox stated. "Abaddon and the Kamacuras are there, but Drakon is nowhere to be found. We did find something else, though."

"Any drones in the area?"

Ox pressed a few keys, and brought up a live feed of Osaka. They saw the long, winged centipede wrapped around the green crystal, chiseling away at it to get inside.

"What the hell is that?" Mark wondered.

"My grandfather used to tell me stories about Shinomura, a Titan made of millions of starfish cells," Ken recounted. "I think this is it."

"It is," Steve Rogers stated. "Serizawa played a slideshow that told us about its history with Godzilla. That is Shinomura."

"How did it get resurrected?" Henry wondered.

"I think it's a case of parasitic breeding," Ken thought. "Drakon's dead, and ninety-nine times out of a hundred, the host is killed when the parasite is mature."

"Kenneth's right," Thor said, "even though I have no idea what he said. I doubt that his time with his grandfather was time ill-spent."

"Thank you, Thor," Ken said with mild annoyance. "Well, considering what's happening, I don't think Shinomura has ill intentions. We should keep an eye on it, anyway."

"Alright, I'm bored," Rocket said with a sigh. "Can we blast some monsters, now?"

Steve sighed as well, before adjusting the straps on his suit.

"Let's go to China, Avengers."

"Hold up," Ox rang out. "Before you go fight Tao Tei, you should know that the Vortaak have landed in D.C."

"Aw, yeah." Rocket charged up his electric blaster. "Let's kick some alien ass."

The King lifted his head at the scream. He recognized it from sixty-five years ago, when he fought the Swarm of Death. But from the information in the scream, he guessed that Shinomura had a change of heart.

He hoped.

But, at least, everyone knew that he was not dead. Now, he had to get back to business. Business being the defeat of Atlas.

"The Earthlings know of our arrival?" Vorticia asked.

"Yes, your Highness," Vorma replied. "They are running scared in the streets. It is pandemonium."

"Good. Now, let them see our might. Tell Doctor Mafune that his time to shine is now."

"Yes, my sister."

"I told you!" The Queen threw her goblet at Vorma. "Do not call me that! We are no longer children!"

"I-I'm sorry!" Vorma quickly left the room, fighting back tears.
