The next morning, Wengie was outside training as best as she could. She had an uneasy feeling that this battle would be far more difficult than she thought. She was planning on using Focus Energy and Karate Chop to beat her. Even though that strategy has worked multiple times, Wengie figured that Misty must have a far more superior plan based on her confidence when they met. That still did not stop the young trainer from backing down.
Wengie and Machop were by the bridge training to work on a different tactic to take on the gym leader. Wengie brought several boulders for Machop to practice on. Machop was breaking the boulders quite easily, but that did not satisfy Wengie enough. Wengie took this opportunity to work on Seismic Toss as well. That move seemed to help in the last gym battle they had. Machop was working on how far it could toss the boulders to strengthen its muscles. After a couple of hours, Wengie was starting to feel relieved about her upcoming gym battle.
They headed back to the Pokémon Center to greet Cameron. He asked where the two of them have been. Wengie responded by saying they went to go and get some last minute training in before her match with Misty. Cameron had a look on his face that was concerning. Wengie asked what was wrong, and Cameron pulled up a video Misty had uploaded.
"Hello there my Mistyfanatics." Misty greeted her fan base. "Recently, there has been this trainer who plays with an ante condition. No need to be alarm, for all she wagers is the loser gets a wedgie. What harmless fun this trainer is trying to do. So far she has won every battle. But the punishment she delivers is no so fun. First she made the trainer's own Pokémon give them a wedgie, tied a bunch of trainers undies together, and made someone give themselves a wedgie until others were satisfied. And recently, she challenged me to an official battle. Her terms are about the same except she wants the loser to endure a swirly too. Threatening me with water is not going to end well for this young trainer. I accept your challenge Wengie, but you better be prepared to lose. I will be waiting for your challenge today. And if you don't come, the whole world will know you are just a fraud at best. I am hoping you do show up, because this battle will be fun….for me that is." Misty reported on her video account.
Wengie had regained her nervousness after seeing that video. Cameron asked if she was going to be alright. Wengie just stood there frozen in fear. She did not want to fight Misty anymore. Even though she knew what would happen if she did not go through with the gym battle. Machop saw how his trainer was distraught and smacker her rear to snap her back to reality.
Wengie glanced at Machop, who was not terrified of the upcoming match. Wengie knew that if Machop was not scared, then she should not be either. She mustered up the courage to face her fright of Misty and just take it on full force. They all had gathered their belongings and headed over to the Cerulean Gym. Past the entrance inside the gym, they were greeted by three women who had asked if they had a reservation. Wengie handed over her ticket, and the women guider Wengie to a changing room. Wengie was surprised to see Misty in there too.
"So, I see you decided to come after all. I thought my video would have scared you away." Misty started.
"Yeah right. I am looking forward with this fight." Wengie awkwardly rebutted.
"Relax. I am not going to hurt you here. We are just going to have a battle, and the loser gets the punishment you set up right?" Misty calmly asked.
"Yeah." Wengie answered.
"Then there is no need to be concerned. Do you have you costume ready?" Misty asked.
"Yeah, right here." Wengie pulled out her panty mask.
"I was afraid of that." Misty shrugged.
"What's wrong?" Wengie worried.
"Your costume is just bland. Here let me do something for you." Misty offered her help.
Misty has dealt with a lot of wardrobes; due to her sisters always putting on a performance what feels like every day. Misty came back with a black two-piece jumpsuit. As for a mask, Misty came with pink plastic that looked like it was underwear. Misty commented on how a performer should always look their best when they performing. Wengie liked the outfit because it was easy to put on and take off. Wengie thanked Misty for helping her out, Misty only asked for one thing in return. And that was to know why Wengie wanted to go with a costume for battling.
Wengie did not really have a concrete answer for that. Wengie had to think of that one herself. She guessed it was for the illusion that someone was out there battling people just to give them wedgies. The persona Wengie created was just a ploy so that no one really knew who it was giving the wedgies. On top of that, it gave the sense that it was an antagonist doing the actions so others could feel like they were a superhero when battling. Misty could see where these ideas were coming from and was looking forward to the battle
Both girls were standing at the battle arena. There were solid white blocks designed like lily pads on top of a tank full of water. Wengie looked around the area and noticed it was only Cameron and the three women from the entrance. Wengie asked why the arena was so empty. Misty explained that she had closed the gym down just for this battle. Misty asked if Wengie was ready; when she said yes, Cameron started filming.
"So Miss Wedgier, you think you talk bad about me and my fan base do you?!" Misty started to act in character.
"Maybe you should have stronger fans then." Wengie rebutted. Once she knew the camera was on, her persona took over.
"Well then. If you think you are hot stuff, then we should send out our Pokémon at the same time." Misty taunted.
"That is not going to make the difference to me." Wengie said with confidence.
"We shall see about that." Misty chuckled.
Both trainers released their pokéballs simultaneously. Wedgie had sent out her Machop, as it was the only Pokémon she had. What Wengie was not prepared for was that Misty sent out a ferocious beast as her choice. Wengie thought she would have been facing a Goldeen or a Seel, or even a Stamie. Misty sent out her Gyarados, which started to bring back Wengie's fears. But this time she was not Wengie Melvin, she was Wengie the Wonderful Wedgier. And nothing was going to stop her from winning.
Gyarados was commanded to use Hydro Pump. Wengie told Machop to dodge it immediately. Wengie had a feeling Misty would have taught it a powerful move like that. Wengie did manage to have Macho learn a new move during their training from this morning but needed to wait for the right time for that. For now, she had Machop use Focus Energy. Misty knew what move was about to come next. So she was prepared for it. Misty had Gyarados go for an Aqua Tail, anticipating Machop going for Karate Chop.
Wengie smirked, as she went for her secret weapon. Machop was then commanded to use Revenge. Misty's eyes widened at the sound of that attack. Both Pokémon went in for their attacks and collided on impact. Machop had more of a leverage on his side, so Gyarados landed in the water of the tank while Machop landed on a platform. Wengie was sure she had won, until she saw Misty grin. Misty called for a Flamethrower. Gyarados emerged from the tack and landed the attack. Machop was overwhelmed by the attack and presumed to collapse. Thus making Gyarados the victor of the battle.
"And that is how it is done!" Misty cheered.
"We knew you could do it sis!" One of her sisters called out.
"Why does your sign say 'Go Wengie'?!" Misty asked annoyed.
"No it says Going Down Wengie." Daisy corrected.
"But the 'ing Down' is in a different color. Where you rooting for me to fail?!" Misty asked aggravated .
"Can't blame us for wanting to see you get a wedgie." Violet argued.
"True. Good thing I am writing the next script for the show." Misty reminded her sisters as they gulped in fear.
"Well that was a fun battle. I guess I should be going now." Wengie tried to leave.
"Not so fast. We had a deal remember?" Misty halted.
Wengie had never lost before so she was nervous how this would go. Misty went over to Wengie and made her turn around. As soon as Wengie did, she felt cold hands down her pants. Misty hoisted Wengie by her blue undergarments as Wengie squealed as a reaction. After about five or so tugs, Misty latched the waistband to Wengie's forehead. Misty then got closer to Wengie's ear.
"You do know what is going to happen next right?" Misty whispered.
"We don't really have to do that right?" Wengie pleaded.
"Would you make me do it if I lost?" Misty questioned, as Wengie shrugged "That is what I thought. But I will do you a favor."
"What is that?" Wengie was curious.
"I will guarantee that the water will be clean. But first." Misty promised as she covered Wengie's eyes with her underwear.
The next thing Wengie knew, she had her face in some water. Misty made sure not to apply too much pressure. Wengie was enduring the best she could given the treatment she was given. After it was over with, Wengie removed her atomic wedgie and realized they were outside by the pond in front of the gym. Wengie also notice a surrounding crowd gasping and laughing at her. Misty had Wengie run back into the gym.
Wengie was embarrassed at people seeing her like that. Misty handed Wedgie a dry towel to dry off. Misty pointed out that the gym will be opening soon and that she had a plan so that no one will see her there. Wengie had to wait for the signal though. As the gym opened up, every customer was directed that Wengie was in the gymnasium. The crowd rushed to the location, and Wengie was able to blend in the crowd as they all went looking for her.
Wengie was able to go back to the Pokémon Center with Cameron. Cameron had finished editing the video and showed it to Wengie. She was happy that the video looked good. Although it did upset her to relive her embarrassment again. At one point she thought about not uploading it. But if she did that, they she would be lying to herself of the outcome. She did eventually submit the video to her page.
"Hey there fans. Just had a battle with Misty. And as you can tell, I did not win. She is sure not someone to mess with. I may have been a bit too cocky with my battles and overdone with my victories. To anyone I have hurt, I can say I now feel your pain. But that does not mean that I am going to give up. This may have been my first loss, and my first wedgie; but I am not going to give up so easily. Misty if you are watching this, I am coming for you and your rear will taste defeat next time we battle. Until then, I am Wengie the Wonderful Wedgier and I will accept all challenges that come my way." Wedgie posted as her battle and defeat were displayed.
Now she just waited for the results to take place. She went to bed not wanting to think about this anymore. Wengie ended up having a nightmare about this. She was challenging the champion of the region. She was down to her Machop. The champion landed a Hyper Beam and won the battle. Next thing she knew, Wengie was dangling in the air as a bunch of people were laughing at her. She woke up from her circus of a dream and went for a walk. After a bit, she decided to sit down and look at the comments from her latest video. She was amazed at what she saw.
Her comments were cheering for her to carry on and beat Misty. She did have a few comments that said she was out of line to challenge Misty to begin with. But the overall comments were supporting her. She truly was the superhero illusion she sought out to be. She noticed Misty tagged a follow up video about the events.
"Well that was a fun battle. And such a thrilling reward too. Now, to anyone hating on this trainer for challenging me; at least she owned up to her defeat. I have seen and battled so many people that think I am too harsh on them challenging me. I can say that this trainer will definitely be someone to look out for. So Miss Wedgier, I look forward to when we battle again. And this time, if you lose, the public will be the ones to wedgie you." Misty posted.
Wengie was overwhelmed by the compliments the gym leader gave. Wedgie also noticed she still had her reservation for two weeks from now. There was plenty of time to train for a rematch. Wengie wasted no time and wanted to get a head start. She started to run back to the Pokémon Center, however she tripped over something lumpy. When she looked back, she saw nothing. But she did here a scream as if something was falling. When she looked over the bridge, she rushed to help as fast as she could.
Authors Note: Hope you readers enjoyed this story. I could not figure out what moves to give some of the Pokémon, so I decided to have this story take place in the 4th generation, where Ash went to Sinnoh. So we can tinker with move pools as what can fit for the story. I wanted Wengie to embrace defeat in this one because no one wants to watch or read a story if the main character always wins.
