Author's Notes: Hope you guys are enjoying this series. It is a little wild to me that this is sort of turning into superhero story. I only imagined this as some type of one off story. One chapter for each gym while solo running a Machop line. I hope you guys like this concept as much as I am writing it. If you guys would not kind leaving a review of what you think of this story I would appreciate it. Even if you don't like it, feel free to let me know. Because there is no dislike option here so I would like to hear from what you think of the story. But if not, then that is ok too. Hope you wonderful readers have a wonderful day.

As Wengie was walking along the route, she was greeted by someone yelling out her name. She did not recognize the person at first. That is until he revealed he was Shawn from when they went to school together. Shawn mentioned he had received four badges since he started his journey. Wengie was impressed by his badge count, seeing as they were from the same gyms she has faced besides for one of them.

Even though she also had those badges, she won two of them from fill in gym leaders and tied for the third one she had. So she was far from being on the same level as Shawn she figured. Shawn started to ask how she was doing and all the small talk conversations started to arise. Shawn mentioned how he was about to challenge the Celadon City gym next. Wengie mentioned she was also heading there for her next gym battle too. So the two of them thought to head there together.

Shawn mentioned how he made his appointment a few days ago, while Wengie has yet to make an appointment. She was able to get one in for two weeks from now. Shawn thought it would be a good idea to get some practice in before they had their gym match. Wengie agreed and the two of them were ready to battle. Shawn sent out his Wartortle as Wengie sent out Cubone. Shawn stated that the type matchups were in his favor and went for Water Pulse.

Wengie smirked as she commanded for Cubone to block the attack. Cubone started to spin her club rapidly in circles. The water type attack dissipated as it made contact with the fan spinning bone. Shawn was impressed but was ready for his next attack. He called for an Ice Beam for Wartortle to use. A white sphere started to emerge from the turtle's mouth as a stream of icy wind came from it. Cubone tried to deflect it like before, but this time the bone was frozen solid and could not be used as it was too cold for Cubone to touch.

Wartortle went for an Aqua Jet next to finish the battle. Cubone started to panic as she did not know what to do. Wengie remained calmed and waited for the perfect time to counter strike. When the timing was right, she told Cubone to use Thunder Punch. Cubone regained its confidence and clenched her fist. Electricity started to form as she went to land the attack. The two moves collided and both Pokémon sustained damage from the attack. Before either of them were to get up and continue to battle, Shawn called the match a tie.

"It is clear that you raised your Pokémon well. I see what I need to work on, and I hope you do too." Shawn stated.

"But why call the match a tie? Shouldn't we see who could have won?" Wengie protested.

"We were only practicing. So the winner of this match would not matter. Besides, looks like our Pokémon could use some rest." Shawn explained.

"I guess that makes sense." Wengie realized.

As they started to get their lunch ready, both trainers started to talk about their experiences with the battles they had faced. Wengie tried to leave out her persona out of the conversation. She wanted to keep her identity a secret for as long as she could. Also, she did not know how to make it a conversation into her style of content either. Shawn brought up that he was aiming to be an actor or writer in Pokémon films. He even showed some of his battles he has recorded with his gym battles.

"So you defeated a Rhydon with just your Squirtle?" Wengie asked as she saw him beat Flint.

"Yup. And here is my battle with Misty with my Gloom." Shawn continued.

"Your battles look so amazing. I wish I had that much style when I battle." Wengie complimented.

"Well then, let me see your fights then." Shawn teased.

"I…would rather not. It is sort of embarrassing." Wengie sheepishly stated.

"It can't be that bad. I followed this one battler who copied off of another battler without knowing she did." Shawn stated.

"Really, who?" Wengie asked.

"Not it is my turn to be embarrassed. There was this fighter who had set up this gym. You would challenge her to a battle and the loser got a wedgie. I know it's stupid, but she was kind of cute and I wanted to see her get a wedgie. Turns out she was a fraud and cheated at her matches. She stole the idea off of someone. She even stole her name too which shocked me the most." Shawn blushed.

"So do you follow the actual person now?" Wengie asked before spilling her secret.

"I do actually. And she is far more entertaining that that phony, why?" Shawn asked.

"Well then, hello there Wedgette." Wengie waved her hand shyly.

"You're kidding me. You're Wengie the Wedgier?! Kind of makes sense know with the same name thing going on." Shawn was astounded.

"Yup, that is me. I still get a little nervous about people finding out. So don't tell anyone that you know who I really am." Wengie pleaded, as Shawn understood and agreed.

After a while, the found a small opened area where they could rest up for the night. It was then the Shawn noticed the baby Kangaskhan. When he asked about the Pokémon, Wengie explained that she is going to bring it back to its mother in its natural habitat. Shawn nodded as they went to sleep to get some rest for the journey they had tomorrow. The next morning, Shawn woke up and was starting to pack up to get ready to leave.

He went over to wake up Wengie, when something had caught his eye. He noticed that a piece of fabric was sticking out of her pants. He did think it would be a funny way to wake up. So he tried to remain as stealthy as he could. As he was about to get a hold of the fabric, he felt a sharp sting come from his behind. As he yelped in pain, Wengie woke up to the noise. She looked around and had an idea on what was going on.

"Nice try. But you have to beat me in a battle for that right." Wengie teased.

"I see your Pokémon are also very protective." Shawn winced.

"Mainly Cubone is the protective one. Mess with her and you will receive the whooping of the century." Wengie joked.

"That is not funny. That really hurt. Feels as if was thrown." Shawn continued to whine.

"A new move? Cubone did you just learn Bonemerang?" Wengie wondered as she checked her pokedex to make sure. And she was right.

Turns out, Cubone had been practicing all night on perfecting its moves. After so long of practicing the deflecting bone strategy; it learned Bonemerang in the process. Wengie was pleased at this and was looking forward to what new tactics they could use. Wengie thought now would be a good time to record a video to help promote her gym battle.

"Hello to all of my Wedgettes. It's your girl Wengie the Wedgier and I have some delightful news. I am currently on my way to Celadon City. And it looks like the gym leader is a grass gym leader. So Erika, how about we make this a little bit more interesting. The loser of our match has to be given a hanging wedgie from a tree. Seems fitting in a way to me. If that does not interest you; we could always shove a pile of dirt into the losers pant and give a wedgie then. But if you want to be boring and just do a regular wedgie, but if you say no to any of these options then I could always find a better gym that will accept my request. Let me know soon, because I will be around waiting for a response." Wengie posted the video.

Wengie was reviewing the comments of her video in the meantime. She was amazed at how many people had posted what their ideas were. Most of them liked the hanging by a tree idea; while others agreed that the regular wedgie would be boring, but mentioned that is just like how this particular gym leader was. Eventually, a reply from the gym came through.

"To everyone saying that I am a boring gym leader, keep your hate comments to yourself. I do except this deal by this Wengie woman you people keep talking about. And I will be streaming this battle of ours live just so people know that I am the real deal when it comes to tough battles. And to embarrass this brat of a trainer, when I win, she will be hanging by her briefs stuffed with dirt live for everyone to see. Maybe then she will be less cocky about calling a gym leader boring." Erika stated in the video.

Wengie did not know she had crossed the line with the gym leader. She thought it was just all for fun and laughs. She was about to make a post to apologize, but thought it would be better to deal with this in person. Shawn also mentioned that this short argument between the two was also helping with the publicity of her match. So it might be best to let this one settle on its own. Shawn also saw an update on his device too.

"That poor Wengie girl has no idea what she is getting herself into. She thinks she can just walk up to any gym and take it on. Do we need a reminder that she has yet to beat an official gym leader yet? Her first two badges she has won were from fill ins. She lost to Misty her first time. She tied with Surge, but he granted her the badge based on how his crew handled her. So technically she did not ever beat a gym leader at all. But her she is, still talking down amongst the greatest battlers that ever stands. So Wengie, when you are ready to admit that you are the second best Wengie and will amount to nothing greater than that, I will be waiting for you in Celadon with my crew. You are in for my own kind of Payback." The fake Wengie had reappeared and was looking for revenge.

Shawn only saw this post because he still followed her because he forgot to stop following her. Wengie had so much she had to do in Celadon City know. She had her gym battle and Shawn's gym battle; she was planning on seeing what the famous Celadon Mall had to offer, along with the Celadon's Prize Center too, now she had to take care of Fake Wengie again. Celadon sure has a lot for this one trainer to do. Now it is just a matter of what order she wants to do this in.
