Wengie and Shawn headed over to the gym as soon as they woke up. Shawn was raring to get his fifth gym badge and Wengie was going to see how Erika would battle too. As they entered the gym, they were greeted by Erika's group of trainers who also happen to be shop keepers for her perfume store. The gym trainers escorted the two trainers to see Erika personally. Once they got into a room with Erika, everyone else left the room.
Erika wanted to discuss her gym battle with Shawn. She mentioned how she has a scheduled battle with Wengie the Wedgier and wanted to treat their battle like she would treat Wengie's upcoming battle. Shawn did not see a problem with that and the two of them got ready for their match. Wengie sat on the side lines to watch her first battle that she was not a part of. Erika sent out her Parasect, while Shawn started out with Growlithe.
Shawn went right for a super effective Fire Fang. Erika called for Stun Spore to counter the fire type Pokémon. What caught Wengie off guard was that the yellow powder came from the ground instead of Parasect itself. Growlithe stopped in its tracks and could barely move from the paralysis. Parasect then went for Cross Poison, and landed the attack. Growlithe could barely stand and eventually lost consciousness. Leaving it no longer able to battle.
Shawn sent out Beedrill next. Erika went for Stun Spore again. Except this time Shawn had a plan. He had Beedrill use its wings to dissipate the powder and rendered the move useless. Shawn then went for Twin Needle. Along with a barrage of Fury Attack's. Parasect went down for the remainder of the battle. Erika sent out her next Pokémon, Tangela.
Tangela started off with Vine Whip to try and immobilize Beedrill. Shawn opposed by using Double Team so that Tangela could not make contact. Erika smiled as she went for Sleep Powder. Wengie noticed that the same thing happened as before. White dust came from the ground and made Beedrill fall asleep. Tangela repeatedly used Vine Whip and eventually won the battle.
Shawn sent out Wartortle as his last chance. Tangela went to use Sleep Powder again, but Wartortle used Rapid Spin as a similar tactic that Beedrill used. Tangela however struck back with Vine Whip to keep the water type still. Shawn went to use Aqua Jet to get out of the bind it was in. after being freed, Wartortle landed a powerful Ice Beam and won the battle.
Vileplume was sent out next. Wengie sighed as she figured something tricky was about to happen. Unfortunately she was right when Erika went for Poison Powder. A purple mist started to cover the battle field. Shawn tried to use Rapid Spin again, but there was too much of the poisonous powder for Wartortle to handle. After the water type was poisoned, Erika went for Solar Beam. Wartortle tried to attack, but the poison prevented it from focusing on the battle. Eventually, the Solar Beam was fully charged and launched. After the move landed its attack, Vileplume was the winner of the battle.
"Looks like I am the winner." Erika cheered.
"I guess so." Shawn cringed.
"No Shawn, don't listen to her. There is no way she won fair and square!" Wengie yelled from the side lines.
"What are you talking about?" Shawn asked.
"I am saying that all of those status moves should have came from the Pokémon. Such as Parasect with Stun Spore. Parasect uses its mushroom bulb to do those types of attacks. There is no reason that those moves should have came from the ground." Wengie explained.
"You don't have any proof of this claim. Maybe you should watch who you falsely accuse of such things if you know what is good for you." Erika stated.
"I know my research. Tangela stores those kinds of attacks in its hidden body, and Vileplume stores those chemicals inside of its flower. You cheated." Wengie defended.
"Since you seem so confident in your claim, go and find how I cheated. But if you find no such thing, you will take the same penalty as your friend here." Erika stated.
Wengie went right to the battle field. She went underneath it to look for a device or something that could explain everything. She did not find what she was looking for. She turned back to Erika who had a smug look to her knowing she was right. The next thing Wengie and Shawn knew, they were hanging in the tree inside the gym. Shawn was hanging by his white briefs, while Wengie was hanging by her yellow underpants with red polka dots.
"You really should have taken my warning." Erika stated as she looked at the two helpless trainers.
"I know for a fact you cheated. And I will find out how." Wengie protested.
"You really should stop. This is already embarrassing enough." Shawn argued.
"There is no way those moves did what they did. She cheated." Wengie argued.
"Seeing as how you are not learning your lesson. Maybe you should be punished even further." Erika teased.
"I don't see what any of this will do anyone good. You got your practice for when Wengie the Wedgier challenges you." Shawn tried to say, but mentioned something he did not know would cause more harm.
"Wengie the Wedgier is going down when she faces me! And how do you know I would be facing her?!" Erika asked in a rage, but ignored her own question. "It doesn't matter. Wengie has damaged my reputation. By mocking my authority as gym leader, now others think I am weak. I have over 300 consecutive victories and she thinks she can get away with this?! Well now I am more determined to humiliate her live on my platform. But don't think I am down with you young lady." Erika then pulled out a bag of dirt and poured it down the back of Wengie's underpants. "This is what I will be doing to your friend Wengie the Wedgier in public. Now I will be leaving the two of you here until I am satisfied." Erika walked away.
The two trainers were left dangling in the tree. Wengie was regretting her words as the dirt got deeper. Shawn shook his head as he wondered what Wengie was thinking. Wengie admitted that she did not have a plan in mind but vouched she would figure something out. She started to wonder how Erika could have done what she did. She had to know her secret would be kept safe. Then Wengie wanted to know how Erika thought of these ideas. Just then she had a thought.
She sent out Drowzee and told Drowzee what the plan was. After that, Drowzee used teleport to escape before Erika came back into the room. Erika stated how she was ready to close up the gym for the day. The two trainers were relieved to hear that. Erika stopped their cheering saying that they are not leaving yet. She then added that she would let them go first thing in the morning. Wengie started to protest but the sound of ripping fabric stopped her as both trainers fell from the tree.
With the added weight of the dirt, Wengie's underwear ripped first. As Shawn fell shortly afterwards with his briefs still tied to some of Wengie's ripped underwear. Erika laughed as she let the two of them leave her gym. Erika then disappeared while the two of them collected the remaining of their dignity. Shawn, awkwardly, offered Wengie her torn underwear that was still attached to his. After Wengie gave him a look, he just dropped it on the ground. The two of them headed back to the Pokémon Center to try and rest up for the rest of the day.
Shawn was nervous if Drowzee was going to be able to pull through. Wengie then stated that Drowzee has never let her down before and had full confidence that it would return with some good news. As if on cue, Drowzee teleported right in front of them with a smirk. Wengie knew Drowzee would be able to pull off this operation. Drowzee then used Hypnosis to go into Wengie's dream to explain.
Wengie was right that Erika cheated. The battlefield was rigged with the functions to act like the attacks Erika called out. And when Wengie confronted the gym leader, the technology that did these actions went underground outside of their view. Wengie woke up and knew what she had to do. She came up with a plan that would ensure her victory against her in their upcoming match.
Several days have passed, and Wengie was getting ready for her match. She got dressed in her Wengie the Wedgier attire and headed right for the gym. Before she entered the building, she had her recording equipment attached to her arm to catch Erika in the act of cheating. As she entered, she starred down the gym leader with determination. Erika explained the ruled would be a three on three rule set. Wengie agreed to the terms and started the match. Erika sent out her Parasect as Wengie went with Machoke.
Erika went for Stun Spore like before. But Wengie just let it happen instead of trying to dodge or deflect it. Erika was confused by this, until she saw Machoke's eyes glow white. Machoke's ability Guts kicked in. Now Wengie went right to the offensive with Return. Parasect tried to hold back the attack. However with the Guts boost, Parasect was out matched and collapsed. Making Machoke the winner of the first battle.
Erika sent out Tangela next. Erika had to wait for her strategy to work. So she started off with her newly learned Power Whip. Machoke took a lot of damage from the attack. Wengie tried to go for Karate Chop, but the paralysis kicked in and Machoke could not move. Tangela went for another Power Whip and Machoke was down for the rest of the battle. Wengie knew what Tangela was going to do, so she sent out Drowzee. Tangela went right for Sleep Powder.
White dust covered the field. Erika was smiling maliciously as she figured she had this battle won. She was stunned to see Drowzee was not asleep from the move and was able to go for an attack. After Drowzee landed its Confusion attack, Wengie explained that Drowzee had the Insomnia ability. So Sleep Powder was a useless attempt to win.
Drowzee used Hypnosis on Tangela. Tangela feel asleep, as Drowzee used Dream Eater to deal some damage. Tangela was knocked out of the battle while it was asleep. Now Erika had one Pokémon left. She sent out her Vileplume as her final Pokémon. Wengie took this time to taunt her opponent.
"Let me guess, you are going to use Poison Powder and your stage is going to have a device that will produce the attack instead of your Pokémon doing it?!" Wengie stated.
"What are you talking about?" Erika called out.
"I think you know exactly what I am talking about. This stage is rigged with status ailments so that you can win all of your battles." Wengie called out.
"You simply cannot accept the fact that I am beating with lower odds; typical for someone who is going to lose." Erika denied.
"Oh really? Might want to check below us." Wengie stated as Erika looked at the ground.
The baby Kangaskhan was seen destroying the technology Erika was using. Erika tried to claim it as something they use to clean and clear the battlefield after every match. As Erika lied her way through, the baby Kangaskhan chomped on the device and white dust came out as the Pokémon went to sleep. Erika was caught in her lie and stopped her live stream of the battle. Wengie continued on and Drowzee went for Confusion.
After the move landed, Vileplume reacted by using Sludge Bomb. With Drowzee down, Erika knew she had a chance to win and keep her secret for as long as she could. But Wengie still had one more Pokémon she could use. She sent out Cubone as her final Pokémon. Erika laughed as she had the type advantage. Wengie was nervous as she knew Vileplume was stronger than it appeared.
Vileplume started off with Poison Powder. Wengie was amazed that it was using the move correctly. Cubone was in the purple mist but was still trying to push through. Cubone then threw its club to use Bonemerang. After Vileplume took the attack, it started to store in sunlight to use Solar Beam. After a few seconds, a beam of light landed on Cubone.
Wengie was in shock to see her Pokémon still wanting to fight after taking so much damage. She realized that Cubone was fight beside her this whole time. Cubone was not about to give up, so Wengie should not be quitting either. She called out to her Pokémon with full confidence. Cubone heard her trainer's cry and started to glow. A few seconds go by and Cubone had evolved into a Marowak.
Wengie looked at her pokedex and noticed Marowak had also learned a new move. Vileplume went for Sludge Bomb, but Wengie had Marowak deflect the attack with Bone Club. After the two moves collided, Wengie went for her newly learned move. Marowak rushed towards Vileplume with her bone glowing blue. Marowak swung its bone like a baton to use Bone Rush. After several swings, Vileplume went down unable to continue the battle.
"Looks like I win." Wengie called out.
"Oh yeah, prove it?!" Erika claimed.
"What?" Wengie was shocked.
"My life stream went down, so there really is no proof you actually won. Nice try though." Erika stated.
"That is it, I've heard enough." An elderly lady entered the room.
She introduced herself as leader of the Indigo League. She mentioned how she had several reports of gym leader misconduct and had an investigation. She did not have any proof of these claims herself but had a feeling that the allegations were true. With the help of Wengie, she can finally send her report to her superiors. Erika was prohibited from acting as a gym leader for the rest of the season as her gym leader license was suspended. Erika looked down in disappointment and started to slump away. Wengie stopped her and claimed that she has officially won their match, and has to face a penalty. Erika sighed as she knew what was coming.
Erika was then seen hanging in the same tree Wengie and Shawn were in before. Erika was hanging by her rainbow print granny panties. Wengie decided to change a few things to their agreement. She had a concession stand for all the trainers she had wronged for however long she scammed them. People would give Wengie money to jump on a plank of wood that would make contact with Erika's rear. The next thing Erika saw was that a former gym challenger approached Wengie with a bag full of money for all the times she humiliated said trainer. Erika tried to plead for forgiveness. The said trainer was about to jump on the plank, but Marowak hand him her club instead. Erika was really sore after that afternoon.
Post Author's Note: Hope your guys enjoyed this chapter. I found the Ed Edd N Eddy wedgies as a kid funny and tried to figure out a way to replicate it. Hope it came out well.
