Some times, opposites do attract getting along scenario 3

Summary

After a raging battle, the Knight trap master duo, Knight Light and Knightmare, take shelter in a storm that surged during the fight, with one of Knightmare's hooves cracked and Knight Light's wing dislocated, they decided to continue traveling on foot to look for the nearest portal spawn after the storm clears. While this occurs they finally decided to put their rivalry down for good and work together to try to attempt to get back to the academy safely. With no signal from them, Snapshot was getting a little worried about the rival duo and Riptide getting worried about his adoptive father and one of his favorite Skylanders about not returning home. Will they return? Read to find out!

The duo of knights ran through a clear path through stormy weather, earlier, Knight Light flew close to Knightmare so he doesn't want to lose a fellow while getting back to the academy. But as they traveled on, the rain started to get heavier while the once dry dirt path turned into mushy mud, forcing them to turn to an alternate solution, is to finding shelter that is suitable for both. The knight that was flying through crashed one of his wings into a tree and dislocate it, he then crumbled to the ground and gotten mud on his armor.

"How is your wing not torn off?" Knightmare finally asked.

"You should know me enough that I'm one of the most strongest Skylanders, I only dislocated it." He answered once he stood back up.

He wiped mud off of his mouth and caught up with Knightmare.

"Come on, there should be a cave somewhere nearby, it's really our only option." He told her.

"For once apart from us agreeing that Kaos is a threat, I agree with you." She replied.

The two searched for something that was able to fit both of them without one going to one place while the other would be on their own. An hour later they were able to find a cave and they went inside, they both checked if anyone was there but it was all empty.

"This will do for now." Knight Light told her.

"The portal should be somewhere close by." Knightmare replied.

"We can't move right now." He replied.

"But what about the others?" Knightmare asked. "Your son and the others would be worried."

"Our return would be delayed." He answered. "I think its best for us to stay put than to continue to travel, otherwise either of us wouldn't return."

"I guess you're right." Knightmare said. "This storm wasn't caused by either of us or who we fought, it just happened."

Meanwhile in Skylands, Riptide stayed with Leah, Staris, and her adoptive father Snapshot until the weather cleared. Leah was reading a book while Staris was crushing herbs in a motar and pedal and Snapshot going through files of missing species that included Roller Brawl's brothers.

"I'm getting worried about dad." Riptide told Staris.

The light Spell punk sighed and picked up the little boy.

"I know, Snapshot is starting to get worried as well." Staris replied. "But Knight light trusted us to keep you here and keep you safe until their return. I wonder where they are."

"The last I heard was there was a freakish storm that occurred, they're taking shelter, so they're stuck out there for a while, until this storm passes." Snap Shot told them. "But where they're sheltering at is unknown, since we didn't catch their location before we were cut off."

"Will this storm hit us?" Staris asked the snap shooter.

"There's a chance that it may hit us, so, Eon is letting us get ready ahead of time." He answered her.

Back with the Knight duo, they don't have anything to do to keep themselves occupied, Knightmare attempted to walk but it was a limp one before she yelped in pain.

"What is wrong with you Knightmare?" Knight Light asked his rival.

"I don't know, but I can feel something wedged between one of my hooves." She answered. "This may cause our return to delay more longer."

"Lift them up, maybe I can see what's going on." He told her.

And she did, on the third hoof she lifted up for Knight Light to see was a piece of rock stuck in between her hoof, Knight Light took his gloves off and pull on the rock that was there. Knight Light tossed the rock aside once he got it out, where the crack was started bleeding, Knight Light pulled a towel from his inventory and placed part of it between the crack and then tied the rest loosely for Knightmare to walk easily.

"That should do until we get to the closest clinic." Knight Light told her.

"Thanks..." She replied. "I guess you adopting Riptide helped you on this one."

"Not only him, but I've done this to other Light Knights in the past, before the core of light was destroyed." He said. "We should rest for now, this may be a long night for both of us."

She nodded, then Knight Light moved away from Knightmare to give her some space, then he lied down onto the ground and folded his wings back. Through out the night, Knight Light stayed up to watch after his first two hours of sleep, he stayed up for three hours until Knightmare nodded to him to get some rest. After that she took over for the next two hours until the rain started to calm down the next morning, but it was still cloudy. Knightmare knew it was safe for her to get a few more hours of rest before waking up fully for a journey back to Skylands.
