The day before they were supposed to move, Rosemary woke up early. She rubbed her eyes and sat up. Lee was still sleeping, so she quietly left the room in order not to disturb him. She slipped down the hallway to Vivian and Aaron's room, but both were still asleep, and she went downstairs. She started the coffee pot and sat down at the table to look over her list. "There are so many things that need to be done," she said as she got up to get her coffee. After returning to her seat, she began writing out everything that was important. She managed to whittle the list down a bit.

"Hey, sweetheart," Lee said as he put his hands on her shoulders. "What are you doing?"

"Just writing out a list of everything we have to do. It's a lot." Rosemary paused. "I have to put out my next edition, pack, and move, as well as everything else I'm already doing, and you have to finish the house by tomorrow, plus everything you regularly do, and we have two children. It's not just us anymore, and..."

"Rosie." Lee sat down beside her and took her hands in his. "The house will be finished by tomorrow. I already made sure that I don't have much to do today and tomorrow, so I can help you pack. I know that your article is mostly done, and you can get Robert to publish it for you. A whole bunch of people offered to help us move, so that'll be easy. Just take it one task at a time."

"Alright." Rosemary took a deep breath. "How come you always know what to say? You're sure the house will be finished on time?"

"I'm sure." Aaron's cries interrupted them, and Rosemary began to get up. Lee gently pushed her down. "I'll go get him. You stay here."

"Thanks."

"No problem, sweetheart." He gently kissed her cheek. "I'll be right back.

Rosemary began whipping up breakfast when Lee returned with both Aaron and Vivian. "Alright, Viv," Rosemary turned from the stove. "Can you run back upstairs and get dressed? Then you can come back down and eat breakfast."

"Alright." Vivian turned and dashed back upstairs.

"Lee, would you mind finishing these eggs? I'll feed Aaron."

"Of course, sweetheart."

Rosemary exchanged her flipper for Aaron, and she sat down on the couch to feed him. When Vivian came back downstairs, Lee gave her her breakfast, and Rosemary joined them at the table. "Papa's going to bring you to school today, alright sweetheart? I've got to stay here and prepare for moving tomorrow."

"Can I stay home and help?"

"No, you need to go to school. But you can help when you come home, alright?"

"Okay!" Vivian hopped off her chair and came over to Aaron, who was now sitting and smiling on Rosemary's lap. "Hey Aaron," she said as he grasped her hand. "Look, he's talking!" She exclaimed when he began making noises.

"I think he's saying Vivian," Lee remarked as he came over. "We have to go now Viv, so why don't you say bye?"

"Bye Aaron," Vivian gave him a big hug. "Bye, Mama," she gave Rosemary another big hug.

"Goodbye, sweetheart." Rosemary kissed Vivian's forehead. "Make sure you behave, and I'll be waiting for you to come back. I love you."

"Love you too."

"I'll drop her off, get a few things, and then come back to help you pack." Lee said.

"Alright." Rosemary nodded. When the house was quiet and empty, she turned to Aaron. "Let's get you in your crib and I'll start working."

He just gurgled and laughed, content on playing with his toys. Just as Rosemary put him down, there was a knock at the door. "Come in!" Rosemary called.

"Hi Rosemary," Abigail said as she walked in. "The Café was slow this morning, so I came to see if you wanted any help."

"That would be wonderful. We're moving tomorrow and there is so much to do. Lee should be back in a few minutes." Rosemary turned as she thought. "Would you mind taking care of the kitchen? There are a few things that need to stay so we can eat, but everything can be packed up and labelled. I think I'll go work in the kids' room."

"Sounds like a plan." Abigail agreed. She moved to the kitchen as Rosemary took Aaron with her upstairs.

In the kids room, Rosemary began humming to herself as she cleaned up. She packed all of Vivian and Aaron's clothes, except what they would need for the next day. When that was done, she moved to her and Lee's bedroom. As she was cleaning up, Lee walked in. "I'm back, sweetheart." He said.

"Oh. Hi." Rosemary turned towards him.

"Is there something I can help you with?"

"You can pack all of your clothes. I was just working on mine."

"Alright." They worked together and got everything done, then Rosemary went downstairs. Abigail had successfully got the kitchen packed up and ready to go. Together, all three of them ate a quick late lunch, and then Abigail left to go back to the Café. Rosemary, Lee, and Aaron headed to town so Rosemary could finish her article. When school was out, Rosemary went to pick up Vivian and Lee brought Aaron home.

The next morning dawned cool and bright. The Coulters had breakfast tomorrow, and Rosemary was about to begin cleaning up when there was a knock at the door. "I'll get it," Lee said as he hurried towards it. When he opened it, it seemed as though the whole town was standing on their front porch.

"We've come to help." Joseph said with a big smile.

"Wow." Lee looked over everyone. "This is wonderful. Rosie," he called back into the house. "Can you come here?"

Rosemary walked up to the door and her jaw dropped. "Everyone is here." She tucked her arm into Lee's as Vivian came running up beside them.

"We're ready to help and we're waiting for you to direct us," Abigail said.

A slight smile came over Rosemary's face. Directing was something that she was very good at. "Alright. The guys can get all the big furniture and put it in the wagons. All the smaller stuff can also be put in the wagons. I'll take the car and the kids over to the new house, and some people can come with me so we can put everything where it needs to go."

Rosemary went with the first load to the new house, and brought Allie, Elizabeth, and Clara with her. They would help her put things away. Joseph, Bill, Ned, and Lee brought the first load of furniture and moved it all in. Just as they finished, the second load of furniture came in. As the morning flew by, the rowhouse slowly got empty and the new house began to feel like home. They stopped for a quick lunch about halfway through, but then got back to work again.

Once all the furniture was moved over and in place, everyone except for Elizabeth, Nathan, Allie, and Little Jack left. They stayed behind to help Rosemary and Lee with some more unpacking. By the time three o'clock rolled around, most of the Coulter's things were put away besides a few things that Rosemary would do herself later. "Thank you so much for helping us!" Rosemary said as they stood in the living room. "It looks wonderful."

"Not a problem." Elizabeth replied, looking around.

"Just think, in a few weeks you'll be moving in too." Rosemary came over and looped her arm through her friend's. "It's so exciting."

Elizabeth chuckled. "I am very excited. Does it feel like home yet?"

"Yes, I think it does." Rosemary nodded.

Just then, Lee and Nathan came from downstairs. There wasn't much down there, just a heater and some electrical work. "It looks like it all works," Lee commented with a smile.

"We'll be the first house in town with indoor plumbing." Rosemary said excitedly.

"And we're following close behind," Elizabeth agreed. "Nathan doesn't think we need it, but I'm so glad we did it."

"Well of course!" Rosemary stepped away from Elizabeth and moved towards Lee. "Indoor plumbing is a necessity. I wouldn't build a house without it. Thankfully," she tapped Lee's shoulder. "Lee agrees with me."

Lee just chuckled and put his arm around Rosemary. "Yes, yes I do."

"We should be going," Elizabeth said. "I'm glad you guys could get all moved in."

"Thank you so much for all your help." Rosemary said as she hugged Elizabeth. "We really appreciate it."

"Any time." Elizabeth promised. "Have a good evening."

"Bye." Lee and Rosemary said together as they watched their friends walk away. They turned to each other, smiled, and, putting their arms around each other, walked back into their house.

"Does it feel like home yet, Rosie?" Lee asked as they stood in the middle. Aaron was upstairs sleeping and Vivian was also asleep on the couch. It had been a busy day for both of them.

Rosemary smiled. "My home isn't a building, it's wherever you and our kids are. But yes," she added. "It's beginning to feel like it." She lightly laughed as Lee pulled her into a hug. "Do you want some supper now?" She asked as she stepped back.

"That would be lovely, sweetheart," Lee agreed. "I'll wake Vivian and see if she wants anything."

"Alright." Rosemary turned and went to the kitchen and Lee sat down on the settee beside Vivian.

He gently shook her shoulder. "Do you want some supper, Viv?"

She stirred and rubbed her eyes. "Yeah."

"Here, I'll carry you to the table. Mama is making some supper for us." Lee continued quietly.

"Okay." She stretched out her arms to be picked up.

Rosemary laid a couple plates on the table, and Lee brought Vivian over and let her sit in his lap. She ate some food, talked a little, and then fell asleep again. Lee carried her upstairs while Rosemary cleared the table. When Lee came back downstairs, they sat down on the settee together, enjoying the warmth of the house and each other's company. They sat there for a few moments in silence until Rosemary sat up. "You know what I'm going to do?"

"What?"

"I'm going to take a bath and enjoy our indoor plumbing. No more freezing nights for us."

"Alright." Lee chuckled. "You go and enjoy your bath."

"I will." She laughed too.

Lee looked around the house. It certainly was beautiful, and he was proud and glad to be able to raise his family in this new place. Now if only he could find a time to tell Rosemary what had been bothering him. Actually, he was surprised that she hadn't already noticed. Well, she had been pretty busy lately. Maybe he could surprise her, then they could talk. It would be nice to get away...
