A/N:

Wow, guys, I am so sorry! I was busy working last week, plus I got sick, and I just didn't have time. I also forgot about the cliff-hanger I left you all on...I truly didn't mean it. Thank you for your patience, and let's resolve that cliffhanger, okay? I'll come back with the rest of the chapter on Saturday.

Also, this story is coming to an end. I plan on starting another one shortly, set about 10 or so years in the future, but you'll be the first ones to hear about it. :)

Chapter Thirty Two: Part I

Lee and Rosemary turned to Allie. "What happened?" Rosemary asked worriedly.

"She got thrown off her horse when her and Uncle Nathan were riding early this morning. It got spooked in the forest." Allie explained.

"I...I've got to go!" Rosemary exclaimed. "Lee..."

"Go ahead sweetheart, I'll stay here with Allie and the kids." Lee placed his hand on her shoulder. "Let us know what's going on when you can."

Rosemary grasped his hand and smiled. "Thank you, sweetheart. I'll take the car!" She called as she hurried outside, buttoning up her coat. She started the car and then hurtled towards town. It screeched to a halt in front of the infirmary and she jumped out and pretty much barreled down the door. Inside, Nathan was sitting next to Elizabeth. Abigail was there as well, sitting and watching while Faith tended to Elizabeth. All heads turned to Rosemary.

"Rosemary! I thought you weren't supposed to be back until tonight." Abigail exclaimed.

"Lee and I just got home. Allie told me what happened." She looked down at her still friend. "Is she gonna be okay?"

Faith nodded slowly. "She'll need a lot of rest and care, but she should be fine. She won't be able to teach until she heals more, though. Both her legs are broken and she's got a pretty good concussion," she explained to Rosemary.

The color drained from Rosemary's face as she looked over at Elizabeth again. "Lee and I will do whatever we can." She vowed.

"Thank you, Rosemary." Nathan said sincerely.

Rosemary looked around the room. As much as she wanted to stay, she knew Elizabeth would be in good hands. "I'll go home and take Little Jack with me. Allie can come if she wants. We'll watch them for as long as we need to."

"Are you sure? You just got back from your trip?"

"I'm sure." She nodded. "Keep me posted."

"Alright. Thank you." Nathan repeated.

Rosemary smiled. She briefly squeezed Elizabeth's hand. "You get better, you hear?" She whispered. "You have to." Then she backed away and got back in the car. She had to get back to the kids and Lee.
