One Month Later

"Don't worry. It isn't a bad sign. The examination results have showed that both of you are perfectly healthy!"

Haruhi and Tamaki let out a breath of relief. Haruhi leaning against Tamaki as they received the news.

"But, what's causing it? I should have started having visible symptoms a while ago, right?"

The doctor shook her head, holding a calm smile. Replying with a calm tone in her voice. And pointing to a chart nearby, and having to push a strand of hair back behind her ear.

"While it is not necessarily common, what's happening is completely safe. What you're experiencing is them being positioned closer to the ribcage. Only because your reproductive system is laid out differently, rather than where it should theoretically be. Once again, this will not negatively affect the health of either of you."

Tamaki spoke up. Haruhi appearing to be accepting of the answers.

"How would that work when she's having them? Does the same thing apply?"

The doctor paused.

"Usually it doesn't involve anything negative happening during that. And we can find other ways to prevent any negative consequences. But labor will be longer and very likely more painful. We have medication on hand to make it more bearable. But unlike normally, it won't one hundred percent work. So we'll need to prepare for that, but otherwise it will be just like the common process."

Tamaki saw Haruhi curl up slightly, knowing she had a fear of physical pain.

"Okay, thank you for the warning."

After the pair left the office, Haruhi jolted in alarm as a harsh kick sent a long throb of pain in her upper stomach area.

"Are you alright?"

Haruhi nodded. Directing a reassuring smile up at her concerned fiancé.

"Yeah. But it looks like we won't have as much time to plan out how to explain this to everyone."

Tamaki pulled her into a hug.

"At least we're prepared for our main priority. We can think of what to say to them when we see them."

Haruhi leaned into the side hug as they kept walking, turning her head for their lips to meet.

Hikaru was sitting next to Kaoru on a bench. They had held minimal contact after their initial argument. It was one of the first real fights they'd had. And like Haruhi worried about often, they weren't sure how to proceed.

Hikaru had tried moving on from it, apologizing for snapping and trying to be on friendly terms again. But as far as Kaoru was concerned, the issue was never actually resolved. Only given a longer period of time to hit a boiling point. Especially after he found out that Ageha was roped into it. Why did Hikaru have to get Ageha involved?

Hikaru had gotten Haruhi and Tamaki something for their wedding. Kaoru wasn't allowed to see it, though. So Kaoru got something for them himself.

They briefly chatted while sitting on the bench, nothing special, just short one-answer questions and answers. While they did, Hikaru was reading something on his phone. When Kaoru peeked, he was exchanging texts. He didn't need to see who it was, and couldn't anyway when Hikaru noticed and pulled the phone away. All he saw was a heart that Hikaru put next to the person's name.

"I haven't found any updates on whether or not it's safe to go back, if that's why you were peeking."

Kaoru narrowed his eyes.

"You were texting Haruhi just now, weren't you?"

Hikaru glared.

"What is with you thinking I like Haruhi romantically?"

Kaoru blinked.

"I didn't say you were. What were you talking about?"

Hikaru's face went red.

"Sorry for assuming that. But I'm not the only twin making assumptions at the moment."

Kaoru rolled his eyes. Placing his phone down between them.

"Well at least I'm not acting suspiciously. If you're just chatting casually I would understand. You didn't need to get defensive."

Hikaru looked down.

"Are you still going to be suspicious if I stop denying what you're saying?"

"As long as it means you aren't lying, yes. I was trying to tell you before, I know you can't help how you feel, but you'll need to worry about Tamaki and the others finding out. You'll probably make Haruhi really uncomfortable."

Hikaru looked down, giving up.

"Why did you think I was so adamant? Please promise me you won't tell any of them?"

Kaoru shook his head.

"Not the others, maybe Haruhi, since she deserves to know."

Hikaru looked up, shaking his head desperately.

"Don't, please?! I know what'll happen if you do!"

Kaoru sighed.

"She'll understand. She won't feel the same but—"

"Kaoru, I'm serious! It could ruin our friendship!"

Kaoru glared as the yelling caused anger to bubble to the surface.

"Will you stop being such a coward? You have feelings for her, she needs to know. There are consequences for actions like that, Hikaru!"

Hikaru paused, looking down at the bench confused.

"Wait, I thought you said I couldn't help it. I would have an entirely different sexuality if I could! As long as it didn't mean this problem would exist!"

Hikaru's facial expression made Kaoru pause. He was about to yell back, but there was something odd that made him hesitate. There was an emotion in Hikaru's eyes that he couldn't quite place. Desperation, perhaps? A hope that Kaoru would notice something he said?

Kaoru decided to think about it later. Feeling angrier at Hikaru trying to cover himself by saying he had a different sexuality. He knew him. How could he entertain the idea with with a straight face? Pulling out his phone and getting up.

"Kaoru, please!"

Kaoru looked back at Hikaru, and simply walked off, Hikaru hastily pulling out his own phone to try and defuse the situation that was about to start.
